Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of the Teachmint application and the Blended Learning approach on the academic performance and digital literacy of fourth-grade elementary students concerning buying and selling-related topics. This research employs a quasi-experimental framework and an experimental design featuring a pretest-posttest control group. The focus of this study is on forty fourth-grade primary school students. Proportional random sampling was utilized for selection in this research. Data for this study was collected through a test. A t-test was the statistical method utilized to examine the data with SPSS version 26. Given that the significance value of 0. 000 is lower than the established significance threshold of 0. 05, the results of the t-test suggest that blended learning via the Teachmint application has a substantial effect on student performance. The results of the independent sample t-test also indicate that there is a significant enhancement in students' digital literacy when blended learning strategies are implemented. This conclusion is further corroborated by the t-test results, which show a value of 0. 042

Abstract

Tindak tutur ekspresif sering ditemukan dalam aktivitas pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Jember. Tindak tutur ekspresif yang dimaksud adalah tindak tutur ekspresif guru kepada siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan pola, fungsi, dan modus tindak tutur ekspresif yang digunakan guru kepada siswa dalam aktivitas pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Data yang dikumpulkan berupa segmen tutur guru Bahasa Indonesia beserta konteksnya. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi kelas. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik padan pragmatik dan teknik klasifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya 8 pola bentuk tutur ekspresif yang digunakan oleh guru, termasuk ekspresif ucapan terima kasih, ucapan selamat, penolakan, keluhan, kritik, pujian, kesal, dan ancaman. Semua pola bentuk tindak tutur ekspresif disampaikan secara lisan didukung oleh tindakan non-verbal dalam bentuk gerak tubuh dan intonasi suara. Dalam penelitian ini, ditemukan 8 fungsi tindak tutur eskpresif, seperti mengucap terima kasih, mengucap selamat, mengeluh, menolak, mengkritik, memuji, menyalahkan, dan mengancam. Juga terdapat 4 modus tindak tutur ekspresif, yaitu imperatif, interogatif, deklaratif, dan eksklamatif. The Expressive speech acts are often found in Indonesian language learning activities at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Jember. The expressive speech acts in question are those of the teacher towards the students. This research aims to describe the patterns, the functions, and the modes of expressive speech acts used by teachers towards students in learning activities. This research employs a qualitative research design with a descriptive research type. The data collected consists of segments of Indonesian language teachers' utterances along with their context. Data was collected through classroom observation. Data analysis was carried out using pragmatic matching techniques and classification techniques. The results show that there are 8 patterns of expressive speech forms used by teachers, including expressions of gratitude, congratulations, refusal, complaints, criticism, praise, annoyance, and threats. All expressive speech act patterns are delivered orally, supported by non-verbal actions in the form of body movements and voice intonation. In this study, 8 functions of expressive speech acts were found, such as thanking, congratulating, complaining, refusing, criticizing, praising, blaming, and threatening. Additionally, there are 4 modes of expressive speech acts, namely imperative, interrogative, declarative, and exclamative.

Abstract

This research aims to implement thematic learning through the medium of making roselle flower tea (teburos) to improve the entrepreneurial skills of class VI students at SD Negeri Rojopolo 06.The research method used was classroom action research involving 20 students as research subjects. The research steps involve planning, pre-test, implementation, observation, post-test and reflection. The implementation of this learning is a pre-test, providing thematic material, planting roselle plants, active involvement of students in making and packaging Teburos products, developing students' analytical skills in marketing Teburos products, as well as post-tests and reflections. The data collection method used was giving tests to students.From the research results, it is known that the implementation of thematic learning through the teburos media can show improvement. This increase can be seen from the comparison of the average pre-test and post-test scores of students, which experienced a significant increase of 65% from the pre-test score of 55.75, increasing to the post-test of 75.25. The application of thematic learning using Teburos media can improve students' entrepreneurial skills and have a positive impact on students' learning motivation.

Abstract

Student learning success is primarily determined by their skills in writing scientific texts as their final assignment. However, students experience problems when preparing research proposals. The obstacles experienced were triggered by students' views that scientific writing is challenging and students' lack of understanding of input from lecturers. So, this research has four objectives, namely describing (a) language mindset, (b) corrective feedback preferences, (c) students' follow-up strategies in writing scientific texts, and (c) the correlation of the three. This research employed a mixed method. The research subjects were Indonesian Language Education students at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang. Data was collected using questionnaires and in-depth interviews. The results show that the highest average language mindset is a growth language mindset (4.573). As many as 95.3% of students had an average questionnaire of 3.5-5.00, so most students had a growth language mindset tendency. The dominant corrective feedback that students prefer is an explicit correction (4,895). The average of the follow-up strategy is 4.30, demonstrating that students try to receive corrective feedback on their written scientific texts from lecturers. Based on the correlation results, there is a significant relationship between language mindset and corrective feedback preference (0.529); there is a relationship between language mindset and follow-up strategy-based corrective feedback (0.297); but there is no significant relationship between corrective feedback preference and follow-up strategy based corrective feedback (0.160). The conclusion is that scientific text writing guidance activities need to encourage an increase in students' growth language mindset, corrective feedback preferences, and follow-up strategies in writing scientific text.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan teknologi dalam pembelajaran merupakan sebuah tuntutan di era digital ini, khususnya pemanfaatan gawai dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi pembelajaran melalui aplikasi asisten belajar mandiri (SI BELA) di SDN Rojopolo 07 di Jatiroto untuk meningkatkan literasi digital siswa kelas V. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi dan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan media aplikasi asisten belajar mandiri (SI BELA) mampu meningkatkan antusiasme dan motivasi belajar siswa. Selain itu, penggunaan media ini juga meningkatkan kemampuan literasi digital siswa karena melibatkan penggunaan smartphone dan aplikasi belajar mandiri. Siswa menjadi lebih terampil dalam mengoperasikan smartphone, menginstal dan mengakses aplikasi, serta memahami konten 3D. Dengan demikian, implementasi pembelajaran melalui aplikasi asisten belajar mandiri (SI BELA) di SDN Rojopolo 07 di Jatiroto berhasil meningkatkan literasi digital siswa kelas V.

Abstract

Wacana berita di media massa daring mencerminkan pandangan pihak pembuat berita, dengan bahasa berfungsi sebagai pembentuk persepsi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis wacana berita putusan MK No 90/PUU-XXI/2023 pada dimensi Makrostruktural Analisis Wacana kritis norman fairclough. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah analisis dokumen dan observasi. Sumber data yang terdapat dalam penelitian ini berupa kata, frasa, kalimat atau paragraf, teks, ko-teks, dan konteks yang mengandung dan mengindikasikan dimensi makrostruktural. Hasil akhir dari penelitian ini adalah ditemukan aspek situasional, instituasional dan sosial yang memiliki peran signifikan dalam membentuk persepsi dan opini publik. News discourse in the mass media dare reflects the views of the news maker, with language functioning as a shaper of perception. This research aims to analyze the news discourse of the Constitutional Court decision Number. 90/PUU-XXI/2023 in the macrostructural analysis dimension of Norman Fairclough's critical discourse.  The research method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method. The data source used is news with the title "If You Become Vice President, Gibran Chances to Equal Emmanuel Macron to Sanna Marin" and "Holding a Demonstration, BEM Nusantara: Constitutional Court's Decision on the Age Limit of Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidates Hit the Constitution". The data analysis technique uses Norman Faiclough’s CDA model analysis which is divided into 3 stages, namely microstructural, mesostructural, and macrostructural dimensions. The final result of this research is that situational, institutional, and social aspects are found which have a significant role in shaping public perceptions and opinions.

Abstract

Online news media is the main source of information for the public regarding agricultural news in Jember Regency, while each media outlets has its own requirements in reporting such news. The purpose of this study is to reveal the similarities and differences between local and national news topics in reporting agriculture in Jember Regency. The data used is language corpus data in news articles from four local media outlets and four national media outlets. The corpus data was processed using Orange Data Mining. Various widget features were utilized, with the main widgets related to this study being Word Cloud & Topic Modelling. The results of the data processing were then analyzed using the Tagset Ucrel Semantic Analysis System (Tagset USAS) reference. Through the analysis results, significant similarities and differences were found between local and national media in reporting on agriculture in Jember Regency. The similarities found are that both types of media use relatively similar news objects and subjects, which are in 9 semantic categories. The differences found were that local media emphasized the role of the local government, while national media emphasized agricultural production and processing. These results illustrate the differing media needs regarding issues that must be addressed, both at the local and national levels. The findings of this study are beneficial for news media in determining the focus of agricultural reporting in Jember Regency in the future, by considering the relevance over personal interests.

Abstract

Writing is the most complex language skill. In learning, writing is defined as the highest skill after listening, speaking, and reading skills. One of the competencies in the field of writing is presented in the material of writing news texts. To achieve this competency, an appropriate learning approach and technique are needed. Therefore, a scientific approach assisted by the mind mapping method was chosen. The scientific approach and the mind mapping method have a complementary relationship in the student-centered learning process. The scientific approach directs students to think logically and systematically through five stages, namely: observing, asking, collecting information, reasoning, and communicating. Meanwhile, the mind mapping method functions as an effective visual aid to organize ideas and information obtained during the scientific process. This study is an experimental study, which measures the significance of the difference between variable X (the experimental class that applies the scientific approach with the mind mapping method) and variable Y (the control class with the conventional model). The results of the t-test calculation show a significance of 0.035. In accordance with the decision-making guidelines, namely if the significance value is <0.05, then the alternative hypothesis (Ha) which states that there is a significant difference in the influence of the application of the scientific approach assisted by the mind mapping method on the news writing skills of class VII students at SMPS Nidhomiyyah is accepted. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the application of the scientific approach assisted by the mind mapping method can improve students' ability to write news texts.

Abstract

Pengembangan kreativitas anak saat ini merupakan hal yang sangat esensial, ecoprint mungkin ialah salah satu pilihan yang sangat tepat untuk dikenalkan kepada anak guna meningkatkan kreativitas . Ecoprint ini adalah salah satu teknik mewarnai kain  dengan cara mencetak. Kata ecoprint yang memiliki arti kata eco yang merujuk pada arti alam sementara print yang mengacu pada proses mencetak. Dalam pembuatan ecoprint tidak perlu menggunakan mesin  proses yang sederhana dan mudah dilakukan serta ramah lingkungan. Teknik pewarnaan ecoprint memakaian bahan-bahan alami misalnya daun, bunga, dan kulit kayu yang memiliki kandungan pewarna alami. Bahan-bahan tersebut dipergunakan sebagai pengganti cap atau cetakan seperti batik tulis tradisional yang dapat dilakukan dengan bermacam teknik (pounding, steaming dan fermentasi). Tahapan pelaksanaan kegiatan ini mulai dari  metode persiapan, sosialisasi, pelatihan, dan evaluasi. Tujuan dari pembuatan kerajinan ecoprint adalah untuk meningkatkan  kreativitas dan keterampilan peserta didik. Hasil dari kegiatan ini yaitu diharapkan peserta didik sekolah dasar  mampu mengembangkan kreativitasnya dan dampak bagi lingkungan sekitar yaitu pemnfaatan tumbuhan  yang dijadikan sebuah produk yang bernilai ekonomis.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve the science literacy of fifth grade elementary school students by implementing the project based learning (PjBL) model through the rastik project. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental study, namely conducting treatment activities with the project based learning model through the rastik project. The design of this study uses a pre-test post-test control group design. The subjects of the study were 25 fifth grade elementary school students from SDN Sombo Gucialit as the experimental class and SDN Jeruk 01 as the control class. Data collection techniques used test and non-test techniques. Data analysis was carried out using the t-test. Based on the results of the paired sample t-test in Table 3, it is known that the Sig. (2-tailed) score is 0.002 <0.05. Therefore, the null hypothesis (Ho) can be rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference in the average value between the pretest and posttest results. This can be interpreted that the application of the PjBL model through the Rastik project can improve students' scientific literacy skills.
