The purpose of this research is to develop the book of research methodology in PGSD, with the need for examples of research topics in elementary school with a mind map to make the mindset more and more skilled and lead students in research. This development research uses the model ADDIE: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation. Analysis of the data conducted, i.e. analysis of teaching materials feasibility, analysis of student responses to teaching materials, analysis of increased learning outcomes. The results of a need analysis showed 94.56% of students needed a complete and systematic learning resource innovation and equipped with a mind map as a guideline of thought flow. The content of the teaching book has been designed according to curriculum needs and need analysis results. The Draft I tested validity by material experts got a score of 87.5% (very decent) and by linguist got a score of 96.8% (very decent). Advice from material experts and linguists was made a material to revise the teaching book into Draft II, which was then tested to be limited to seeing the aspect of readability. Limited test results show student responses to the study methodology teaching book in excellent category (85.71%). Student learning results have increased and the results of N-gain test show the increase of the low category (0.26). The conclusion is the book of Research Methodology assisted mind map is valid and well worth using.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the prevalence of verbal and social bullying in elementary schools, which is closely linked to low tolerance among Grade V students at SD Negeri Sukorejo 01, Sutojayan District, Blitar Regency. The background of this research is the persistence of verbal and social bullying in elementary schools, which is closely associated with low levels of tolerance among students. The study aims to analyze: (1) the implementation of tolerance habituation through classroom agreements, (2) forms of bullying behavior that emerge in the classroom, and (3) teachers’ perceptions of the role of classroom agreements in fostering tolerance and minimizing bullying. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews with teachers and the school principal, and documentation. The findings indicate that classroom agreements developed through a participatory process between teachers and students function not only as behavioral guidelines but also as an effective medium for internalizing values of tolerance, such as mutual respect, appreciation of differences, and polite interaction. Bullying behaviors identified were predominantly verbal and social in nature. Teachers perceived classroom agreements as significantly contributing to the development of students’ tolerance and to the reduction of bullying, provided that they are supported by teacher role modeling, consistent implementation, and ongoing guidance. Overall, classroom agreements have been shown to be an effective strategy for creating a safe, inclusive, and conducive learning environment.

Abstract

The foundation of this study is the paucity of research on the use of flag ceremonies to teach elementary school pupils discipline and responsibility. In actuality, this exercise plays a big part in helping pupils grow as people. The goal of this study is to explain how the practice of flag ceremonies might help fourth-grade kids develop a sense of accountability and discipline, pinpoint challenges in putting these customs into practice, and assess how this activity affects the development of students' character. Participants in this study, which employs a descriptive qualitative methodology, include the principal, class teachers, and fourth-grade pupils at SD N 2 Ngabean who were specifically chosen. Following data collection by observation, interviews, and documentation, source and technical triangulation approaches were used to assess the data's validity. Through active involvement in ceremonial tasks, adherence to rules, and the habit of being disciplined and punctual, the flag ceremonies habit effectively instills a feeling of responsibility and discipline in pupils, according to the study's findings.Disparities in student motivation and a lack of comprehension of the significance of the flag ceremony were among the challenges noted. These results are consistent with the goals of the study and provide credence to the character education hypothesis, which highlights the value of routines and role models in promoting responsibility and discipline. According to the study's findings, regular flag ceremonies can help primary school pupils develop moral principles if they are accompanied by their teachers. The study's implications include enhancing character education research and offering useful advice to educators and schools on how to best use flag ceremonies as a character-building tool.

The findings confirmed that pop-up books are very feasible to use, based on a media validation score of 88.89% and material validation of 96.05%. The level of practicality of the media was recorded as very high, reaching 100% based on the educators' responses and 92.30% from the students' responses. The effectiveness analysis showed a statistically significant increase in learning outcomes, marked by a significance value of 0.000 in the paired t-test (p < 0.05). In addition, the N-gain analysis results reached a score of 0.6145 in the small-scale test and 0.6419 in the large-scale test, both of which fall into the moderate category. In conclusion, the development of this media has passed the feasibility test and proven to be effective in improving the cognitive competence of fourth-grade elementary school students.
