Abstract

The penetration of biogas power plants into the distribution network can affect power system stability, particularly in the 20 kV distribution network in Tanjung Pura. This study aims to analyze the impact of biogas power plant penetration on voltage stability and power flow dynamics in the distribution network. A simulation-based approach using ETAP software is employed to evaluate different penetration levels, ranging from low to high. The results indicate that biogas power plant (PLTBg) penetration increases system voltage from the existing 17.92 kV (89.63%) to 18.34 kV (91.73%) at 25% penetration and reaches 19.50 kV (97.50%) at 100% penetration. Under a load increase of 25% to 75%, the voltage without penetration ranges from 17.56 kV (87.80%) to 17.05 kV (85.30%). With gradual penetration, the voltage rises to 17.99 kV (90%)–17.28 kV (86.40%) at 25% penetration and reaches 19.15 kV (95.40%)–18.47 kV (92.30%) at 75% penetration. Additionally, higher PLTBg penetration reduces active power losses but increases reactive power losses, which could compromise network stability if not properly compensated. The optimal condition is observed at 50% loading with 75% penetration, where voltage remains within normal limits while both active and reactive power losses are more stable compared to other scenarios.

Abstract

Energy audits are a crucial step in energy management, providing an indication of a building's energy efficiency. This study, conducted in the Chemical Engineering Building at Malikussaleh University, aimed to evaluate electrical energy consumption by calculating energy consumption intensity (EKE), and to verify compliance with the 2020 Indonesian National Standards (SNI) for the lighting system. Data were collected through direct observation, interviews, and the analysis of documentation. The study focused on analysing lighting levels and electrical energy consumption, including calculating IKE. The results showed that lighting levels in most rooms did not meet SNI standards, with only the terrace area meeting the criteria. The building's daily energy consumption was found to be 402.8 kWh, with cooling loads accounting for the largest proportion. The IKE values for lighting and cooling on both floors of the building were below the required standard, indicating a lack of energy efficiency. The main factors influencing these results were inadequate lighting design, the use of inappropriate lamp types, and suboptimal maintenance of the lighting system. To improve energy efficiency, it is recommended that lamps are added or replaced with high-efficiency ones and that energy planning is improved based on a more comprehensive energy audit. This research contributes to improving energy efficiency in the education sector.

Abstract

Kualitas hasil akhir dari pertanian hidroponik sangat tergantung pada kualitas nutrisi yang diberikan kepada tanaman. Nutrisi ini berperan sebagai penyedia utama air dan mineral yang diperlukan. Dalam nutrisi hidroponik, terdapat dua komponen utama yang disebut pupuk A dan pupuk B atau bisa disebut dengan larutan AB mix. Pada penelitian ini dirancang alat pengaturan pencampuran nutrisi pada tanaman hidroponik. Alat ini memanfaatkan mikrokontroler Arduino Uno dan ESP32 untuk mengendalikan keseluruhan sistem. Untuk memberikan kemudahan bagi pengguna (user) dalam melakukan sistem kendali dan proses monitoring secara realtime alat ini dirancang berbasis IoT memanfaatkan aplikasi blynk. Selain itu alat ini dirancang dengan menggunakan sistem kendali on off. Berdasarkan pengujian, alat pengaturan pencampuran nutrisi pada tanaman hidroponik berbasis IoT (Internet of Things) dapat beroperasi dengan baik sesuai dengan pemprograman yang telah dirancang. Rata-rata presentase error sensor tds dan tds meter sebesar 0.15 %. Rata-rata error pengukuran pada flow sensor 1 (larutan a) sebesar 0.12 % sedangkan flow sensor 2 (larutan b) memiliki  rata-rata error pengukuran yang lebih kecil yaitu 0.05%. Nilai tds dan nilai ph yang terbaca pada sistem telah memenuhi kriteria penting pada sistem hidroponik. Pada tanaman bayam sendiri, kadar tds yang baik berkisar 1200-1600 ppm. Sedangkan pH yang direkomendasikan pada tanaman bayam berkisar antara 6.0 - 7.0.

Abstract

Technological developments in the field of control are increasingly advanced, especially in the world of electronics. Electronic water faucets are one example that we can find in fast food restaurants which are quite expensive for some groups and water is often wasted when the hand washing process is in progress. Therefore this research was carried out by designing and building an automatic faucet in a sink so that there is no wastage of water. The problems faced are the use of manual faucets that are not sterile and the process in the field when washing hands is not efficient and hygienic. The method used is to design and build mechanical and electronic components based on microcontrollers. By utilizing Arduino UNO, HC-SR04, L298N, Relay and DC pump, hand washing sink will facilitate the hand washing process. The design of an automatic water faucet for a fast food restaurant sink based on a microcontroller was successfully realized and implemented with the realization that water managed to come out of a 12V DC pump capable of dispensing water according to the reach of the hand between 2.5cm to 27.5cm which was carried out by the HC-SR04 sensor. The process carried out is that the automatic water faucet at the sink in a fast food restaurant can simplify the hand washing process and reduce water wastage with a water saving of 5.3 liters for adults and 8.66 liters for small children. The average water used by adults for automatic sinks is 0.49 Ɩiter/person and young children is 0.45 Ɩiter/person, with a water velocity of 0.163 Ɩ /s for adults and 0.150 Ɩ /s for small children.

Abstract

PT. PLN (Persero) ULP Langsa city is one part of UP 3 langsa, the LS-05 feeder in section two is the location for placing several office buildings. Continuity stable distribution of electrical energy is one of the most important aspects in the distribution system. Based on these problems, the writer was inspired to consuct research with the aim of testing the reliability of the feeders LS-05 and LL-4 which was installed with LBS manuver motorized at both ends of feeders. The LS-05 feeder with section method SAIFI value is 2.2739 times/ customers/ year and SAIDI Value is 8.41995 hours/ customers/ year. For LL-4 feeder witsh the same method SAIFI value is 2.28905 times/ customers/ year, then using RIA-Section technique combined method, LS-05 feeder have SAIFI value is 2,0219 times/ customers/ year, SAIDI value is 8,3082 hours/ customers/ year, LL-4 feeder have SAIFI value is 2.6574 times/ customers/ year and SAIDI 9.3008 hours/ customers/ year. This value indicates thet these two methods have succeeded in showing a reliability index is in accordance with SPLN due to the addition of LBS motorized.

Abstract

Kuta Makmur merupakan salah satu kecamatan yang terletak di dalam wilayah Kabupaten Aceh Utara. mata pencaharian masyarakat umumunya yaitu sebagai petani terutama tanaman jenis jagung pakan. Selama ini, para petani menjual jagung tersebut ke pengumpul setelah dipipil dengan harga yang relatif murah karena belum kering. Adanya Teknologi Pengering Jagung Berbasis ramah lingkungan dalam peningkatan kualitas hasil olahan untuk Komunitas Petani Usaha Beuna di Desa Sido Mulio, Aceh Utara. Teknologi mesin ini untuk memberi kemudahan mitra dalam menjaga kualitas dan meningkatkan produktivitas hasil pengolahan jagung secara kontinyu tanpa ketergantungan pada cahaya matahari yang cerah atau berawan. Ketersedian teknologi ini dapat membantu mitra dalam mengatur pola pengeringan secara berkala sesuai kebutuhan yang diinginkan, sehingga hal ini akan berdampak baik pada peningkatakan pendapatan perekonomian para anggota kelompok mitra pengabdi yang terlibat dalam pengabdian ini. Hasil pengabdian ini bertujuan sebagai alat pengering jagung berbasis ramah lingkungan. Adanya transfer knowledge tentang standar atau ambang batas kadar air yang paling optimal untuk menjaga kualitas jagung kering, hasil pengabdian ini berupa teknologi mesin pengeringan jagung secara portable dan berbasis ramah lingkungan. Adanya alat pengeringan jagung serta terwujudnya pengunaan dan pemeliharaan alat pendeteksi kualitas garam berbasis ramah lingkungan pada petani usaha Beuna di Desa Sido Mulio, Aceh Utara.

Abstract

The power transformer would have happened disturbanced that can cause a failure at a transformer. For this condition needed to maintenance power transformer, one of which is by analyzing transformer oil by using the TDCG method. This analysis is carried out to determine the diagnosis of faults in the transformer. This method are the condition of the analysis which is based on the amount of a gas dissolved on oil a transformer. This study used four methods for transformer failure analysis are TDCG method, Rogers-ratio, gas key, and duval triangle. The results obtained by the TDCG method of dissolved   gas are 1332 ppm, the rogers ratio result a symptom of oil heat a transformer at 300oC, the key gas method results in overheating of oil, and the duval triangle method results in a low breakdown voltage analysis.

Abstract

Kurangnya keterampilan masyarakat mengakibatkan terjadinya kesenjangan ekonomi dan terjadinya kejahatan di lingkungan masyarakat. Untuk mengurangi permasalahan tersebut dosen yang berada di sekitar lingkungan kampus melaksanakan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilaksanakan di gampong uteunkot kota Lhokseumawe dengan tujuan memberikan pelatihan instalasi listrik mandiri untuk menambah kemampuan bagi masyarakat gampong. Pelatihan dilakukan dengan memberikan materi singkat untuk menyamakan pemahaman instalasi kepada peserta, kemudian memberikan pelatihan praktis berupa instalasi pada papan peraga agar peserta merasakan pelatihan secara nyata. Hasil yang diperoleh dari pelaksanaan pelatihan meningkatnya kemampuan peserta untuk instalasi sederhana dan peningkatan kemampuan untuk mengaplikasikan instalasi sesuai standar agar aman dan mengurangi potensi kebakaran akibat kesalah instalasi.

Abstract

Pest attacks are one of the main causes of declining rice production in Indonesia. To address this issue, this study examines the use of artificial intelligence-based object detection algorithms, namely YOLOv5 and YOLOv7, in a rice pest monitoring system using drones. The main focus of this study is to assess the effect of image capture speed on pest detection results, as well as to compare the performance of the two algorithms in various aspects, such as detection accuracy, speed, and effectiveness in identifying two main types of pests, namely rice stem borers and planthoppers. The applied methodology includes collecting visual datasets from the field, object annotation using Roboflow, training and testing models using the Anaconda Prompt platform, and analyzing the detected images in binary and grayscale forms using MATLAB. Performance evaluation is carried out using Intersection over Union (IoU), mean IoU (mIoU), and visual analysis of pixel heatmaps. The results show that detection speed is affected by variations in image capture height. YOLOv7 has faster processing performance than YOLOv5, with a capture time of 0.82 s–1.41 s, while YOLOv5 is in the range of 1.15 s–1.47 s. Accuracy evaluation through IoU and mIoU calculations produces consistent values in each frame. The YOLOv5 model obtained an IoU = 0.8711 and mIoU = 0.8711, while YOLOv7 also achieved an IoU = 0.8711 and mIoU = 0.8711. Both models showed a high balance of prediction areas, but YOLOv7 was superior in terms of time efficiency and performance stability at various heights. This research provides an important contribution to the development of AI-based precision agriculture systems, especially in detecting pests automatically and in real-time to improve pest control efficiency and agricultural productivity in Indonesia.

Abstract

Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Kota Lhokseumawe memiliki peran penting dalam mengelola dan menyajikan data statistik yang akurat dan terpercaya. Dalam menjalankan berbagai kegiatan, diperlukan sistem monitoring yang efektif untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan transparansi pelaporan. Namun, proses monitoring yang masih dilakukan secara manual menimbulkan berbagai kendala, seperti keterlambatan pelaporan dan ketidaktepatan informasi. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengembangkan sistem informasi berbasis web guna mempermudah pemantauan kegiatan di BPS Kota Lhokseumawe. Sistem ini dirancang dengan memanfaatkan teknologi berbasis web, menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dengan Framework Laravel serta basis data MySQL. Sistem ini memungkinkan pengguna untuk mengakses informasi kegiatan secara real-time, melakukan pelaporan secara lebih cepat, dan meminimalisasi kesalahan dalam pencatatan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem informasi yang dikembangkan dapat meningkatkan efisiensi dalam pemantauan kegiatan, mempercepat proses pelaporan, serta mendukung transparansi dalam pengelolaan data. Dengan adanya sistem ini, diharapkan kinerja BPS Kota Lhokseumawe dapat lebih optimal dalam menjalankan tugasnya sebagai penyedia data statistik yang akurat dan terstruktur.
