Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of work-life balance and compensation on turnover intention among Generation Z employees in Jakarta. The increasing intention to change jobs among the younger generation poses a serious challenge for companies, particularly in retaining potential employees amid intense urban labor market competition. This study employed a quantitative approach with an explanatory method, involving 216 Generation Z employees aged 18–28 years working in various industrial sectors in Jakarta. Data were collected through an online questionnaire using purposive sampling and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results show that work-life balance has a negative and significant effect on turnover intention. The better the balance between work and personal life, the lower the employees’ intention to leave the organization. In addition, compensation also has a negative and significant effect on turnover intention, indicating that fair and competitive compensation can reduce employees’ intention to change jobs. Simultaneously, both variables have a significant effect on turnover intention, with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.647, meaning that work-life balance and compensation explain 64.7% of the variation in turnover intention, while the remaining 35.3% is influenced by other factors beyond the scope of this study. These findings highlight the importance of human resource management strategies that emphasize work-life balance and competitive compensation to improve employee retention among Generation Z in urban work environments.

Abstract

The manufacturing industry, particularly the electronics sector, plays an important role as a driver of the national economy and a catalyst for global competitiveness. One of the strategic factors that determine the success of an organization is employee competence. Therefore, this study aims to analyze how employee competence affects organizational performance at PT Jaya Refrigeration Equipment. This study uses a quantitative approach with proportionate stratified random sampling technique. The research population includes 520 employees of PT Jaya Refrigeration Equipment, with a sample size of 84 respondents determined using the Slovin formula. The research instrument is a questionnaire distributed via g-form. The data was then analyzed using simple linear regression through SPSS version 27. The results showed that employee competence had a positive and significant effect on organizational performance (p-value 0.001 < 0.05). The correlation coefficient (R) value of 0.896 indicates a very strong relationship between the two variables, while the coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.803 shows that employee competence can explain 80.3% of the variation in organizational performance. These results confirm that improving employee competence is a key factor in driving the optimization of organizational performance in the manufacturing sector.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of High Performance Work System on employee performance at the Jababeka Branch of PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk located in a high-intensity industrial service environment. As banking competition and service expectations increase, integrated human resource practices become critical to sustain operational accuracy, speed, and professionalism at the branch level. Grounded in the Ability, Motivation, and Opportunity framework, this research conceptualizes High Performance Work System through ability-enhancing, motivation-enhancing, and opportunity-enhancing practices embedded in job design and work systems. A quantitative approach was employed using Likert-scale questionnaires distributed to 150 employees selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression. The results indicate that High Performance Work System has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, supported by a strong standardized coefficient and high statistical significance. The coefficient of determination shows that the model explains more than half of the variance in employee performance, while the remainder is influenced by contextual organizational factors. These findings confirm that systematic implementation of integrated human resource practices directly strengthens timeliness, service quality, work efficiency, and professionalism among frontline banking employees operating under operational pressure. The study contributes empirical evidence from a branch-level banking context and offers practical insight for managers in designing human resource systems that align employee capability, motivation, and opportunity with service performance demands.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the phenomenon of performance gaps at PT. ABC, as indicated by the suboptimal realization of sales targets (83–84%) and issues with Service Response Time (SRT) exceeding company standards. These conditions are strongly suspected to be influenced by unstable transformational leadership and work motivation factors. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of transformational leadership and work motivation on employee performance at PT. ABC, both partially and simultaneously, using a quantitative approach with a causal associative method. The population in this study consists of all 53 employees of PT. ABC, with the sampling technique using saturated sampling or census. Data were collected through questionnaires using a Likert scale that has been tested for validity and reliability, and then analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS software. The results show that simultaneously, transformational leadership and work motivation have a positive and significant effect on employee performance, with a contribution of 83.9%. Partially, work motivation is found to be the most dominant variable influencing employee performance compared to leadership style, indicating that internal drive is a stronger factor in maintaining work quality and service timeliness. In conclusion, the synergy between inspirational leadership vision and strong motivation is proven to reduce operational obstacles within the company. Therefore, management is recommended to prioritize strengthening motivational aspects to ensure the achievement of overall organizational strategic targets.

Abstract

The competition in the Bottled Drinking Water (AMDK) industry in Indonesia, particularly in the Jabodetabek region, has shifted from price wars to a focus on reputation and product value. This phenomenon is highlighted by the significant rise in Le Minerale’s market share, which challenges the dominance of established market leaders. This study aims to analyze the influence of Brand Image and Brand Trust on consumer Purchase Decisions for Le Minerale products. This research employed a quantitative approach, collecting data from 120 respondents in the Jabodetabek region selected through purposive sampling. The data were analyzed using Multiple Linear Regression with SPSS version 26 software. The results indicate that both Brand Image and Brand Trust, whether tested partially or simultaneously, have a positive and significant influence on consumer purchase decisions. The coefficient of determination reveals that these two variables contribute 58.2% to the purchase decision, while the remaining percentage is influenced by other factors outside this study. These findings suggest that building a modern product image and maintaining strong consumer trust are key strategies for winning competition in the bottled water market.
