Abstract

A missing person is someone whose whereabouts are unknown. Approximately 75% of missing person cases will be resolved within approximately 48 hours after the missing person report is made. However, many cases of missing persons that occur more than 48 hours and the longer the person is missing, the likelihood of their survival decreases. This study aims to design the user experience for a missing person search application using the Human Centered Design (HCD) method and cognitive walkthrough testing. The HCD method is used to ensure that the application is easy to use for the user and meets the user's needs. Meanwhile, cognitive walkthrough testing is carried out to test whether the application can be understood and operated correctly by the user. The result of this study is a user experience design that meets the user's needs and can be easily understood by the user. The results of the cognitive walkthrough testing showed that respondents successfully completed all the given testing scenarios, but there were also errors that occurred during the testing process

Abstract

Transportation is an important thing that helps in supporting life in various regions, one of which is land transportation to help people in living their daily lives, including Nias Selatan Regency. The people of Nias Selatan still have difficulty in ordering pedicab transportation. Therefore, the researcher proposed to create an android-based online pedicab application to help the people of Nias Selatan in ordering pedicab. The development of android-based applications is carried out by conducting an SLC Waterfall approach which consists of several stages including the analysis of needs obtained through interviews and filling out questionnaires conducted on the people of Nias Selatan, system design, implementation and application testing using black box testing. In addition, development is also carried out using the help of android studio as well as Java programming languages and Firebase database. The results of the development resulted in the existence of the main feature, namely ordering pedicab online with 100% valid test results which means that the features developed are accurate and in accordance with the functional needs needed by the people of Nias Selatan.

Abstract

Batu City is an area that is administratively located in the Upper Brantas River Basin Area (DAS). This is one of the main problems for the Batu City Environmental Service (DLH Batu) because the Water Quality Index in Batu city is light polluted with a value of 50<x<70 caused by garbage, livestock waste, and built-up areas and land conversion. Apart from that DLH Batu is still monitoring water manually, this has many drawbacks, such as requiring a long time, high costs, and the distance between the monitoring location and the analysis laboratory. Through these problems, a user experience design application for monitoring the quality and quantity of Brantas river water for DLH Batu is carried out using the design thinking method, design thinking aims to get creative and innovative solutions with the user as the center of innovation. The final result of this research is a high-fidelity prototype that is tested using usability testing for the main prospective users, namely DLH Batu as the admin and the general public as users. In testing the effectiveness aspect, admin respondents get a 100% success rate. and user respondents get a score of 95%. The efficiency aspect uses time-based efficiency calculations and the results are 0.009 goals/sec for admin respondents and 1.096 for 5 user respondents. In terms of the level of user satisfaction, the System Usability Scale (SUS) method will be used and a result of 90 for admin respondents will be included in the grade A category with an excellent rating adjective. Whereas users get a score of 70.625 and this score is included in the grade B category with an adjective rating of good.

Abstract

In relation to the current social situation, where there are many cases of layoffs as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, people need a medium to access job vacancy information. Another problem is also experienced by some companies that require a competent workforce in order to continue to operate efficiently. The solution to this problem is an application called Jobs For the Day (JFD) based on Android as a job vacancy system to help people's movements in accessing and conveying job vacancy information. In this application, there are features that can support users in carrying out their main needs, such as the feature of creating a Curriculum Vitae (CV) to help ordinary people in creating a CV that can be used when they want to apply for a job. In addition, there is also a recommendation feature to recommend information on workers, companies, and job vacancies to other users. This application was developed on mobile devices (Android mobile) using the concept of Object-Oriented Programming with the Kotlin programming language and tested using unit testing, integration, validation and usability methods to ensure the JFD application system is feasible and can run properly. The test resulted in an SUS value of 92.17 out of 100 which means that the application is acceptable with the best imaginable results (best imaginable) by its users.

Abstract

The Regional Secretariat of the Regional Welfare Office of Tuban Regency is the office that processes the submission of grants and incentives proposals, and other proposals. According to the results of interviews conducted by researchers with one of the Welfare employees, the Welfare office manages 1,312 institutions, 11,200 teachers, and 154,000 students, and processing reports can take 7 to 14 working days. In addition to the length of processing reports, there are often mismatched or unspecified addresses that make it difficult for Welfare employees to come to the TPQ. Based on these problems, a mobile application for verification and submission of an TPQ proposal based on Android was developed. This app uses GPS, camera, and Firebase functionality to make it easier to submit proposals. GPS is used to find out the exact point of the location of the TPQ or proposed event. Cameras are used to capture image of ongoing events. Firebase is used to store data that has been inputted. From the results of black box testing, it is known that the validity value of the functionality of this application is 100%. Then from the results of the efficiency of this application, it is known that the longest difference between the examiner and the researcher is 22.5 seconds. In usability testing this application gets a success rate of 96.29% for admins and 100% for institutions, when the usability test is calculated using the System Usability Scale (SUS) this application gets a score of 86.94 for admins and 89.26 for institutions, both scores are acceptable. in the acceptability ranges category, also get grade B, if using adjective ratings and will enter the Excellent category.

Abstract

Melanoma cancer is a type of deadly skin disease. Melanoma cancer caused by the melanocyte cells that produce melanin undergo mutations which makes these cells to grow abnormally and become cancerous. In Indonesia, the total of Melanoma cancer patient has reached 1,609 people and 699 people have died in 2020, while public awareness in Indonesia is still very low. There are several ways to detect melanoma cancer early, one of them are by using the ABCDE method, but not everyone knows about this method. The author wants to make an application for the early detection of melanoma cancer that utilizes images using the CNN algorithm and also provides education about the dangers of melanoma in the hope that users will go to a dermatologist to find irregularities in their skin. The author will develop the application based on needs and implemented using the Java programming language. For application testing there are validation, usability and accuracy tests. For validation testing using the blackbox method with 100% valid results, usability testing using SUS (System Usability Testing) with a score of 73 which is included in the good category, and accuracy testing with a score of 72%.

Abstract

PG Kebon Agung merupakan pabrik gula yang berlokasi di Malang. Sepanjang masa berdirinya pabrik gula ini, dilakukan peningkatan kapasitas giling tebu. Saat ini kapasitas giling tebu jauh lebih banyak dari perolehan tebu mentah di wilayah Malang. Diperlukan perolehan tebu mentah tambahan dari luar wilayah Malang. Transportasi tebu mentah dari luar wilayah Malang memerlukan proses pemantauan supaya bisa lebih dijamin sampai ke PG Kebon Agung. Sistem yang saat ini digunakan masih menggunakan kertas dan pena untuk proses pencatatan truk tebu yang melewati pos pantau. Data tahun 2021 menunjukkan sebanyak 42,8% tebu mentah luar wilayah Malang yang seharusnya berpotensi digiling di PG Kebon Agung, tetapi tebu mentah yang diangkut truk tebu tersebut tidak sampai di PG Kebon Agung dan mengubah tujuan angkut. Penelitian ini mencoba untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dari proses pengawalan truk tebu luar wilayah Malang, supaya potensi tebu mentah yang hilang bisa dikurangi. Sistem yang dibuat berupa aplikasi Android yang mengakses sensor GPS dan sensor kamera pada smartphone Android yang digunakan petugas pos pantau. Hasil pengujian blackbox menunjukkan bahwa fungsi di aplikasi Android ini berjalan dengan baik. Pengujian System Usability Scale menghasilkan skor 72,5. Skor tersebut termasuk dalam kategori 'baik', sehingga dapat disimpulkan sistem ini dapat diterima dengan baik oleh calon penggunanya.

Abstract

PT Aurora Harapan Bangsa merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak dalam bidang skincare dan kosmetik. Perusahaan ini mendistribusikan berbagai macam brand kecantikan kepada konsumen melalui offline dan online store. Salah satu platform yang digunakan oleh perusahaan ini adalah aplikasi Shopee. Aplikasi Shopee saat ini merupakan aliran penghasil terbesar dari seluruh platform yang digunakan oleh PT Aurora Harapan Bangsa, namun perusahaan beberapa kali mengalami kendala error pada waktu-waktu tertentu. Oleh karena itu diperlukan alternatif agar pengguna tetap dapat memesan produk di PT Aurora Harapan Bangsa ketika platform lain tidak dapat digunakan. Maka dari itu di sini PT Aurora Harapan Bangsa mengembangkan website Aurora Gorgeous untuk dijadikan alternatif. Di sini juga diketahui bahwa terdapat beberapa perbedaan flow atau langkah-langkah pada aplikasi Shopee dan mobile website Aurora Gorgeous. Perbedaan flow tersebut salah satunya terdapat pada fitur utama yaitu fitur belanja. Dengan adanya perbedaan flow ini kemungkinan akan membuat pengalaman pengguna juga berbeda. Maka di sini dilakukan analisis terhadap perbedaan flow pada fitur belanja lalu membandingkan hasil pengalaman pengguna dari kedua platform. Dengan harapan bahwa adanya mobile website alternatif ini dapat memberikan pengalaman pengguna yang minimal sama atau bahkan lebih baik daripada aplikasi Shopee. Kemudian dilakukanlah penelitian perbandingan pengalaman pengguna diantara kedua platform tersebut menggunakan metode kuesioner meCUE. Setelah adanya penelitian ini maka diketahui bahwa terdapat beberapa indikator yang diungguli oleh aplikasi Shopee dan beberapa indikator lain diungguli oleh website Aurora Gorgeous. Indikator yang diungguli oleh aplikasi Shopee adalah Usefulness, Usability, dan Commitment. Sedangkan untuk Visual Aesthetic, Status, Emotions. Intention of Use dan Product Loyalty website Aurora lebih unggul. Selain itu secara keseluruhan mobile website Aurora juga lebih unggul dibandingkan dengan aplikasi Shopee.

Abstract

Klinik Dokter Praktek Perorangan (DPP) Riduwan Vidya Wira adalah salah satu pelayanan Kesehatan yang ada di kota Pematang Siantar. Proses manajemen rekam medis pada Klinik DPP Riduwan Vidya Wira masih dilakukan secara konvensional yaitu ditulis pada formulir rekam medis. Hal ini menyebabkan proses pelayanan mengalami beberapa masalah yaitu lamanya waktu yang dibutuhkan perawat untuk mencari rekam medis pasien, terdapat kerangkapan data rekam medis pasien, keterbatasan ruangan penyimpanan dokumen rekam medis pasien dan belum terjaganya kerahasiaan rekam medis di klinik. Masalah tersebut mempengaruhi efisiensi kerja pada klinik. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, sistem manajemen rekam medis berbasis web dibangun dengan tujuan mempermudah proses pencarian rekam medis, menjaga keutuhan dan kerahasiaan data rekam medis. Pengembangan sistem ini menggunakan metode waterfall dan menggunakan pendekatan berorientasi objek. Sistem ini diimplementasikan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dengan framework Laravel. Hasil pengujian unit dan validasi menghasilkan nilai 100% valid. Hasil pengujian efisiensi menghasilkan pengurangan waktu sebesar 87,38% dari pengujian pencarian dan pembuatan rekam medis, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengujian pencarian dan pembuatan rekam medis lebih cepat menggunakan sistem dibanding pembuatan secara manual.

Abstract

In the context of a Computer Science Major in Indonesian higher education, Java programming language is not only one of the most essential programming languages courses but is also considered to be challenging to learn. This fact has led to the development of numerous mobile learning (m-learning) applications to assist learners in acquiring Java programming skills independently. Most existing Java learning assistants are presented on websites or computer platforms which can only be accessed when students open their computer or Laptop and it mostly focuses on enhancing coding abilities, and practical hands-on. While these aspects are crucial, understanding the programming concepts and guided practice are equally essential in fundamental Java programming learning. This paper presents the concept of practical coding exercises in an m-learning application, providing a new interactive approach for learners as an alternative tool for learning Java programming so they can learn Java programming concepts more frequently from their smartphones. The primary objective is to investigate the feasibility of the proposed m-learning prototype. The proposed application is expected to offer intuitive coding exercises and case study opportunities. Experimental results demonstrate that the overall functionality of the proposed application is feasible for future implementation, with a usability score of 84.
