Abstract

Language skills that must be possessed by all students in schools include basic aspects, one of which is writing. The important thing when learning to write is mastering proper diction and logical thinking. There are problems that occur in the education system and schools throughout Indonesia in terms of writing skills, where teaching Indonesian is still monopolized by the knowledge aspect. Students learn language theory rather than language techniques so that the ability to compile a written work such as a report is inadequate. This research was conducted on fourth grade students of the Tambak District Elementary School in the academic year 2020/2021 with a sample size of 120 students. The whole data collection in this study used the test method to obtain test data from the writing skills of interview reports and data on students' diction and logical thinking. This study uses quantitative methods and the analysis technique used is normality test and hypothesis testing with regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that mastering proper diction and logical thinking has a positive and significant effect on the variable of skills in writing interview reports, either partially or simultaneously.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana implementasi dimensi Profil Siswa Pancasila gotong royong dalam pembelajaran Matematika siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Karangasem IV Surakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa dan guru kelas IV SD Negeri Karangasem IV Surakarta. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Miles dan Huberman meliputi empat tahap: 1) pengumpulan data, 2) reduksi data, 3) penyajian data, dan 4) penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan gotong royong telah diterapkan oleh guru dan siswa kelas IV. Penerapan dimensi gotong royong telah memenuhi semua aspek, antara lain: 1) Kerjasama, 2) Peduli, dan 3) Berbagi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa Implementasi Profil Siswa Pancasila dimensi gotong royong dalam pembelajaran Matematika kelas IV SD Negeri IV Karangasem sudah terlaksana dengan sangat baik.

Abstract

Abstract. Description writing skills are language skills that are very important for students. The skill of writing descriptions is closely related to the ability to produce ideas or ideas into writing to compete globally. The purpose of this study is to improve description writing skills using the Directed Writing Activity (DWA) strategy. This type of research, classroom action research with the application of two cycles and consists of two meetings. Each consists of four steps, namely the planning cycle, action, observation and reflection. Data was collected using several techniques such as observation, interviews, documentation and test writing descriptions. Interactive models are used to analyze data. Assessment in the study showed that the teacher's performance and writing skills of the students' description improved continuously. Referring to the results, it can be concluded that through the directed writing activity (DWA) strategy improves the writing skills of grade IV students' descriptions.Keywords: description writing, Directed Writing Activity (DWA), elementary school

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this reseacrh is to describe the process of application learning model of Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) that can improve the ability to identify intrinsic elements of fiction stories for students grade IV at State Elementary School Tunggulsari II No.179 Laweyan, Surakarta in the academic year 2019/2020. This research was divided in two cycles. The subjects of this reseacrh were teacher and 30 students grade IV. Data collected techniques through observation, interviews, document analysis, and tests. Data validity through content validity, technical triangulation, and source triangulation. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive comparative techniques and qualitative data were analyzed using interactive models. This result of this research is increasing the ability to identify the intrinsic elements of fiction stories from pre-action that gets classical completeness by 13.33%, increasing in cycle I to 30%, and ending in cycle II becomes 83.33%. The conclusions in this study indicate an increase in the ability to identify intrinsic elements of fiction stories for students grade IV at State Elementary School Tunggulsari II No.179 after the implementation learning model of Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC).        Keywords: CIRC, intrinsic element of fiction stories, elementary school

Abstract

Abstract. This study aimed to (1) described the type of student error in solving fractional arithmetic operation story problem, (2) described the factor that cause student to made mistake in solving fractional counting operation story problem and, (3) described solution to correct student error in solving fractional calculation operation story problem. This research was a descriptive qualitative researched. The subject in this study was class V student and class V teacher at SD Negeri Setono. Data collection techniques used test question result, interview result, and observation. The data validity test technique used source triangulation technique. The data analysis technique used Miles and Huberman which includes 4 stages, namely: (1) data collection, (2) data reduction, (3) data presentation, (4) drawing conclusion. The results showed that the analysis of students' errors in solving story problem about calculating operations on error indicators interpreted mathematical symbols 8.90%, error in formulating a problem solving model 44.07%, transformation errors 9.26%, mathematical skill errors 14.81%, and final answer writing skills 22.96%. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the analysis of student errors in solving story questions about fractional calculation operations on error indicators formulating a problem solving model was the most common indicator.

Abstract

Critical thinking skill is one of 21st century competency. Therefor, critical thinking skill is an important skill to face the desruption era. The purpose of this research is to enhancing the critical thinking skill trough double loop problem solving model based experiment. Utilizing a classrom action research which conducted in two cycles. Each cycles consist of four steps i.e planning, action, observation and reflection. The data was colected by using several technique such as observation, interview, documentation and critical thinking test. Also the data was validating by the expert because this research use validity content to validating the data. The interactive model was used to analyzing the data. The assessment of this research showed that both of student’s critical thinking skill and teacher’s performance increase continuesly. Based on the result, it can be concluded that trough double loopproblem solving model based experiment enhancing the student’s critical thinking skill of heat and transfer for V grade students.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) determine whether there is a relationship between reading habits and description writing skills; (2) the relationship between grammar mastery and description writing skills; (3) the relationship between reading habits and mastery of grammar with description writing skills. This research uses a correlational method. The sample consisted of grade V students in 10 elementary schools, totaling 212 students. The data collection techniques used a descriptive writing test, a multiple choice test for grammar mastery, and a questionnaire for reading habits variable. Data were analyzed using simple correlation and multiple correlation. Based on the results of data analysis, the following conclusions are obtained: (1) there is a significant relationship between reading habits and description writing skills, ry1 = 0.606. The correlation coefficient tested using the t test, tcount = 11.0464 > ttable = 1.9713. (2) there is a significant relationship between grammar mastery and description writing skills with ry2 = 0.697, the significance of the correlation coefficient is calculated using the t test, tcount = 14.0993> ttable = 1.9713. 3) there is a significant relationship between reading habits and grammar mastery with descriptive writing skills as much as ry12 = 0.779. The results of the significance test using the F test showed that the Fcount = 161.88> Ftable = 3.0391 obtained from the Ftable with df 209 level α = 0.05. So it can be concluded that reading habits and grammar mastery have a significant relationship with description writing skills.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui minat belajar dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi minat belajar siswa kelas IV SDN Panularan 06 Surakarta. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah studi kasus. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV dan guru kelas IV SDN Panularan. Sumber data berasal dari guru dan siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Data penelitian menunjukkan bahwa minat belajar siswa cukup tinggi pada pembelajaran tatap muka terbatas dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi minat belajar sangat berpengaruh pada siswa.

Abstract

This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method to explore in depth the quality standards in the management of extracurricular music programs at SD Negeri Palur 02. The purpose of this research is to understand how extracurricular music learning is managed in terms of educational quality standards. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews and documentation, with data validation using triangulation. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the management of extracurricular karawitan learning at SD Negeri Palur 02 has successfully fulfilled various educational quality standards stipulated in the National Education Standards, including Graduate Competency Standards, Content Standards, Process Standards, Educator Standards, Facilities and Infrastructure Standards, Management Standards, Financing Standards, and Assessment Standards. The implications of this research consist of theoretical implications: This research enriches the literature on the application of the National Education Standards in extracurricular activities and develops an effective learning management model. Practical Implications: The findings provide practical guidance for schools in managing extracurricular activities as well as input for education policy regarding budget and resource allocation.
