Abstract

Penyembuhan luka merupakan proses biologis kompleks untuk mengembalikan struktur kulit seperti semula. Apabila luka tidak terawat dengan baik maka akan rentan mengalami infeksi oleh bakteri Staphylococcus aureus. Salah satu upaya untuk mencegah infeksi adalah menggunakan sediaan topikal yang mengandung senyawa antibakteri kitosan-nanosilver-ekstrak buah pare yang merupakan bahan aktif sebagai antimikroba. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mensintesis dan mengkarakterisasi gel kitosan-nanosilver-ekstrak buah pare sebagai antibakteri terhadap luka. Gel dibuat dalam 8 formulasi yaitu P0 (tanpa ekstrak pare); P1 (tanpa kitosan); P2 (tanpa nanosilver); P3 sampaI P7 dengan variasi konsentrasi ekstrak pare sebesar (0,3; 0,5; 1; 1,5; 2) gram. Hasil sediaan gel di uji organoleptik dan dikarakterisasi fisika dan kimia serta uji antibakteri Staphylococcus aureus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan P7 memiliki karakteristik yang sudah sesuai dengan standar serta paling kuat menghambat bakteri Staphylococcus aureus (24,7 mm) dan uji organoleptiknya menunjukkan tekstur kental, warna hijau gelap, dan aroma khas ekstrak. Hasil identifikasi gugus fungsional ekstrak pare menunjukkan adanya vibrasi ulur O-H, C-H alifatik, vibrasi ulur C=O, vibrasi tekuk O-H, dan vibrasi ulur C-O. Sedangkan identifikasi gugus fungsional kitosan-nanosilver menunjukkan adanya vibrasi ulur O-H, vibrasi ulur C=O, dan PO43-. Hasil uji PSA nanosilver memiliki ukuran nanopartikel rata-rata 32,64 nm Wound healing is a complex biological process to restore the skin structure to its original state. If the wound is not properly maintained, it will be susceptible to infection by Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. One of the efforts to prevent infection is to use topical preparation containing the antibacterial compound chitosan-nanosilver-pare fruit extract which is an active ingredient as an antimicrobial. The purpose of this study was to synthesize and characterize of gel chitosan-nanosilver-pare extract as an antibacterial against wounds. The gel was made in 8 formulations namely P0 (without pare extract); P1 (without chitosan); P2 (without nanosilver); P3 to P7 with variations in pare extract concentrations of (0,3; 0,5; 1; 1,5; 2) gam. The results of the gel preparations were subjected to organoleptic tests and physical and chemical characteristics as well as Staphylococcus aureus antibacterial tests. The results showed that P7 had characteristics that were in accordance with the standards and the strongest inhibition of Staphylococcus aureus (24,7 mm) and the organoleptic test showed a thick texture, dark green color, and a distinctive aroma of the extract. The identification of functional groups from pare extract showed O-H stretching vibrations, aliphatic C-H, C=O stretching vibrations, O-H bending vibrations, and C-O stretching vibrations. While the identification of functional groups from chitosan-nanosilver showed O-H stretching vibrations, C=O stretching vibrations, and PO43-. The results of the nanosilver PSA test had an average nanoparticle size of 32,64 nm.

Abstract

Luka akut terbuka dapat dengan mudah terkena infeksi jika tidak ditangani dengan baik sehingga dapat menyebabkan proses penyembuhannya lebih lama. Salah satu bakteri yang sering menyebabkan infeksi adalah bakteri Staphylococcus aureus karena terdapat pada permukaan kulit. Salah satu cara untuk mencegah terjadinya infeksi adalah dengan memberikan sediaan topikal yang berbahan kitosan-nanosilver-lidah buaya karena memilliki sifat antibakteri. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melakukan sintesis dan karakterisasi serta uji antibakteri dari bahan dan sediaan topikal berupa gel untuk luka. Sediaan gel dibuat dengan 8 formula yaitu F0 (tanpa lidah buaya), F1(tanpa kitosan), F2(tanpa kitosan), F3-F7 dengan variasi penambahan lidah buaya secara berturut-turut (5,10,15,20 dan 25) %. Hasil karakterisasi FTIR sediaan gel menunjukkan adanya gugus fungsi O-H, N-H, C-C, N-O dan C-H. Hasil uji PSA nanosilver menunjukkan bahwa nanosilver yang disintesis memiliki ukuran patikel sebesar 30,47 nm. Pengukuran uji aktivitas antibakteri menunjukkan bahwa formulasi sediaan gel kitosan-nanosilver-lidah buaya mampu menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Staphylococcus aureus. Diameter zona hambat tertinggi terdapat pada formula yang ditambahkan lidah buaya 25% yaitu sebesar 12,22 mm.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce guided inquiry learning tools that are feasible in terms of validity, practicality, and effectiveness in training students' science process skills in acid-base material. This study refers to the Research and Development (R&D) research design. The device was implemented in class XI MIA I and XI MIA II Bani Ali Mursyad PSM Banaran with a total of 58 students. The results of this study indicate: (1) The validity of the device is in the very good category: the learning implementation plan (RPP) is in the very good category, the student worksheets (LKPD) are in the very good category, the syllabus is very good, the assessment sheets are in the very good category. (2) The practicality of learning devices is in the very practical category based on the results of the implementation of the lesson plans. (3) The effectiveness of learning devices is categorized as effective based on the N-gain test of student learning outcomes. (4) Achievement of process skills based on the results of LKPD and observation sheets categorized as skilled. Based on the results of the research, it shows that the learning tools are in the very good category, very practical, effective and skilled so that the learning tools are feasible to use.

Abstract

UMKM, (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) are UMKM, atau Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah, merupakan sektor bisnis yang mencakup berbagai kegiatan usaha dengan skala kecil hingga menengah. Pasca pandemi, UMKM diberbagai sektor didorong untuk bangkit demi pemulihan ekonomi secara nasional. Mitra UMKM Roti dan kue “Amy kitchen” merupakan salah satu pelaku UMKM di roti dan kue yang ada di Desa Tamanarum, Magetan. Mitra mengalami permasalahan terkait legalitas produk halal, pengelolaan managemen usaha dan peningkatan kapasitas produksi dari produk yang dihasilkan.  Untuk membantu menyelesaikan masalah mitra maka tim pelaksana PKM Unesa memberikan solusi  umum yang ditawarkan adalah pelatihan terkait produk halal, konsultasi usaha dalam bentuk pelatihan pembenahan managemen usaha dan pemasaran, bantuan teknologi pendukung untuk meningkatkan kapasitas produksi. Hasil kegiatan yang telah dicapai yaitu tim telah melakukan koordinasi internal tim pelaksana terkait pelaksanaan PKM, materi dan evaluasinya; tim PKM telah koordinasi dengan mitra dan telah melakukan kegiatan PKM, yaitu pelatihan terkait produk halal, managemen usaha dan pemberian alat berupa mixer pengaduk adonan roti. Selain itu, pelatihan mengenai produk halal juga diberikan untuk meningkatkan wawasan dan memotivasi mitra untuk mengajukan sertifikasi halal bagi produknya. business sectors that include various business activities with small to medium scale. Partners experience problems related to the legality of halal products, business management management and increasing the production capacity of the products produced.  To solve their problem, the Unesa PKM team provides general solutions offered are training related to halal products, business consultation in the form of training on improving business management and marketing, supporting technology assistance to increase production capacity. The results of the activities that have been achieved are that the team has carried out internal coordination of the implementation team related to the implementation of PKM, material and evaluation; The PKM team has coordinated with partners and has carried out PKM activities, namely training related to halal products, business management and providing tools in the form of bread dough mixer mixers. In addition, training on halal products is also provided to increase insight and motivate partners to apply for halal certification for their products

Abstract

Environmental pollution due to urea can negatively impact the environment and its surroundings. Efforts to prevent environmental pollution include encapsulating urea made of chitosan/NaTPP/Ca, which aims to determine its physical and chemical properties. This study crosslinks chitosan 1.66%, with NaTPP 3.33%, CaO, with variations in the addition of urea concentrations of 0.05%, 0.1%, 0.15%, 0.2%, and 0.25%. The results of FTIR characterization showed that there were functional groups OH-, C-H, Ca-O, NH, and P=O. The membrane weight yield ranges from 0.14-0.16 grams, while the average membrane thickness is 0.15-0.35 mm. The water absorption test is 1.86-2.64%, and the membrane porosity result is 0.91-2,25%. This shows that the membrane with a base material of 1.66% chitosan and 3.33% NaTPP is the best.

Abstract

This study aims to synthesize and characterize the nanoencapsulation of sambiloto (Andrographis paniculata) extract based on carboxymethyl chitosan to improve the bioavailability of bioactive compounds. The sambiloto extract was obtained by maceration using methanol and subsequently encapsulated with carboxymethyl chitosan using ultrasonication method. Characterization results using a Particle Size Analyzer showed a particle size of 492.19 nm with a polydispersity index (PDI) of 0.3464, thus meeting the criteria for good nanoparticles in drug delivery systems. The pH stability test showed that the encapsulated sambiloto had relatively good stability. This suggests that carboxymethyl chitosan-based nanoencapsulation has the potential to protect bioactive compounds in the digestive system.

Abstract

Curcumin is the main bioactive compound in turmeric (Curcuma longa L.) with high antioxidant activity, yet its application is limited due to poor solubility and low stability under physiological conditions. This study aimed to synthesize and characterize curcumin-encapsulated nanoparticles based on carboxymethyl chitosan (Cur-NPs) as a more stable drug delivery system. The synthesis was performed using the sonication method, while characterization included particle size and polydispersity index (PDI) analysis via PSA dan pH stability testing. The results showed that Cur-NPs had a particle size of 281.3 nm and a PDI of 0.3897, indicating a uniform particle distribution. Cur-NPs exhibited greater stability than turmeric extract across various pH conditions (2-10). These findings demonstrate that curcumin encapsulation using CMC can enhance the stability and release efficiency of curcumin in biological systems.

Abstract

Slow-release fertilizer (SRF) is a method used to improve the efficiency of nutrient absorption, particularly urea, which is essential for plants during the early growth stages. This study aims to develop and characterize SRF urea modified with chitosan–polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) incorporating various concentrations of calcium carbonate. The SRF urea was prepared in membrane form and characterized through swelling and porosity tests, as well as urea release analysis over 30 days using UV-Vis spectrophotometry. The results showed that increasing calcium carbonate concentration affected the SRF’s physical properties and urea release rate. The SRF urea formulation labeled C1 exhibited optimal characteristics, with a swelling capacity of 202,5% and porosity of 15,6%, indicating its ability to regulate water diffusion effectively. SRF urea C1 released 72% of its urea content over 30 days, which was higher than that of formulations C2 and C3, yet still maintained controlled-release behavior. Therefore, a calcium carbonate concentration of 0.01% is considered optimal for producing an SRF urea formulation with both high and controlled urea release, suitable for application as a chitosan–PVA-based slow-release fertilizer.

Abstract

Urea fertilizer is widely used in the agricultural due to its high content of nitrogen (±46%). However, only 30-40% of nitrogen that is effectively absorbed by plants, while the remainder is lost to the environment. Therefore, the development of SRF offers a potential solution to improve the efficiency utilization of urea fertilizer. In this study, urea based SRF was successfully synthesized using the casting method which is the urea with concentration of 0, 1000, 2000 and 3000 ppm was coated with chitosan which modified by PVA/CaCO3. In addition to synthesis, the urea SRF was also characterized through swelling and porosity test showed that the higher the concentration of urea that added, the lower of swelling degree and %porosity of the urea SRF. Meanwhile, the result of the urea release test indicated that when the urea concentration increased led to a higher urea release rate, resulting in a greater percentage of urea release.

Abstract

Slow Release Fertilizer can be made with organic or inorganic materials. Several materials have been compared in their properties to produce SRF membranes that have the most suitable properties to be made as SRF. In this study, SRF was made with chitosan-PVA-Urea-Ca materials with the aim of increasing the efficiency of urea fertilizer absorption by plants. The method used in making this SRF is the casting method, the membrane solution will be spread on a surface and the solvent will be evaporated so that a dry SRF membrane can be produced. The results of the study showed that the more PVA added, the degree of swelling can be increased, its elasticity can be increased, and its porosity can be reduced so that it can increase the efficiency of urea absorption by plants
