Abstract

Penyembuhan luka merupakan proses biologis kompleks untuk mengembalikan struktur kulit seperti semula. Apabila luka tidak terawat dengan baik maka akan rentan mengalami infeksi oleh bakteri Staphylococcus aureus. Salah satu upaya untuk mencegah infeksi adalah menggunakan sediaan topikal yang mengandung senyawa antibakteri kitosan-nanosilver-ekstrak buah pare yang merupakan bahan aktif sebagai antimikroba. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mensintesis dan mengkarakterisasi gel kitosan-nanosilver-ekstrak buah pare sebagai antibakteri terhadap luka. Gel dibuat dalam 8 formulasi yaitu P0 (tanpa ekstrak pare); P1 (tanpa kitosan); P2 (tanpa nanosilver); P3 sampaI P7 dengan variasi konsentrasi ekstrak pare sebesar (0,3; 0,5; 1; 1,5; 2) gram. Hasil sediaan gel di uji organoleptik dan dikarakterisasi fisika dan kimia serta uji antibakteri Staphylococcus aureus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan P7 memiliki karakteristik yang sudah sesuai dengan standar serta paling kuat menghambat bakteri Staphylococcus aureus (24,7 mm) dan uji organoleptiknya menunjukkan tekstur kental, warna hijau gelap, dan aroma khas ekstrak. Hasil identifikasi gugus fungsional ekstrak pare menunjukkan adanya vibrasi ulur O-H, C-H alifatik, vibrasi ulur C=O, vibrasi tekuk O-H, dan vibrasi ulur C-O. Sedangkan identifikasi gugus fungsional kitosan-nanosilver menunjukkan adanya vibrasi ulur O-H, vibrasi ulur C=O, dan PO43-. Hasil uji PSA nanosilver memiliki ukuran nanopartikel rata-rata 32,64 nm Wound healing is a complex biological process to restore the skin structure to its original state. If the wound is not properly maintained, it will be susceptible to infection by Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. One of the efforts to prevent infection is to use topical preparation containing the antibacterial compound chitosan-nanosilver-pare fruit extract which is an active ingredient as an antimicrobial. The purpose of this study was to synthesize and characterize of gel chitosan-nanosilver-pare extract as an antibacterial against wounds. The gel was made in 8 formulations namely P0 (without pare extract); P1 (without chitosan); P2 (without nanosilver); P3 to P7 with variations in pare extract concentrations of (0,3; 0,5; 1; 1,5; 2) gam. The results of the gel preparations were subjected to organoleptic tests and physical and chemical characteristics as well as Staphylococcus aureus antibacterial tests. The results showed that P7 had characteristics that were in accordance with the standards and the strongest inhibition of Staphylococcus aureus (24,7 mm) and the organoleptic test showed a thick texture, dark green color, and a distinctive aroma of the extract. The identification of functional groups from pare extract showed O-H stretching vibrations, aliphatic C-H, C=O stretching vibrations, O-H bending vibrations, and C-O stretching vibrations. While the identification of functional groups from chitosan-nanosilver showed O-H stretching vibrations, C=O stretching vibrations, and PO43-. The results of the nanosilver PSA test had an average nanoparticle size of 32,64 nm.

Abstract

Luka akut terbuka dapat dengan mudah terkena infeksi jika tidak ditangani dengan baik sehingga dapat menyebabkan proses penyembuhannya lebih lama. Salah satu bakteri yang sering menyebabkan infeksi adalah bakteri Staphylococcus aureus karena terdapat pada permukaan kulit. Salah satu cara untuk mencegah terjadinya infeksi adalah dengan memberikan sediaan topikal yang berbahan kitosan-nanosilver-lidah buaya karena memilliki sifat antibakteri. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melakukan sintesis dan karakterisasi serta uji antibakteri dari bahan dan sediaan topikal berupa gel untuk luka. Sediaan gel dibuat dengan 8 formula yaitu F0 (tanpa lidah buaya), F1(tanpa kitosan), F2(tanpa kitosan), F3-F7 dengan variasi penambahan lidah buaya secara berturut-turut (5,10,15,20 dan 25) %. Hasil karakterisasi FTIR sediaan gel menunjukkan adanya gugus fungsi O-H, N-H, C-C, N-O dan C-H. Hasil uji PSA nanosilver menunjukkan bahwa nanosilver yang disintesis memiliki ukuran patikel sebesar 30,47 nm. Pengukuran uji aktivitas antibakteri menunjukkan bahwa formulasi sediaan gel kitosan-nanosilver-lidah buaya mampu menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Staphylococcus aureus. Diameter zona hambat tertinggi terdapat pada formula yang ditambahkan lidah buaya 25% yaitu sebesar 12,22 mm.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce guided inquiry learning tools that are feasible in terms of validity, practicality, and effectiveness in training students' science process skills in acid-base material. This study refers to the Research and Development (R&D) research design. The device was implemented in class XI MIA I and XI MIA II Bani Ali Mursyad PSM Banaran with a total of 58 students. The results of this study indicate: (1) The validity of the device is in the very good category: the learning implementation plan (RPP) is in the very good category, the student worksheets (LKPD) are in the very good category, the syllabus is very good, the assessment sheets are in the very good category. (2) The practicality of learning devices is in the very practical category based on the results of the implementation of the lesson plans. (3) The effectiveness of learning devices is categorized as effective based on the N-gain test of student learning outcomes. (4) Achievement of process skills based on the results of LKPD and observation sheets categorized as skilled. Based on the results of the research, it shows that the learning tools are in the very good category, very practical, effective and skilled so that the learning tools are feasible to use.

Abstract

UMKM, (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) are UMKM, atau Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah, merupakan sektor bisnis yang mencakup berbagai kegiatan usaha dengan skala kecil hingga menengah. Pasca pandemi, UMKM diberbagai sektor didorong untuk bangkit demi pemulihan ekonomi secara nasional. Mitra UMKM Roti dan kue “Amy kitchen” merupakan salah satu pelaku UMKM di roti dan kue yang ada di Desa Tamanarum, Magetan. Mitra mengalami permasalahan terkait legalitas produk halal, pengelolaan managemen usaha dan peningkatan kapasitas produksi dari produk yang dihasilkan.  Untuk membantu menyelesaikan masalah mitra maka tim pelaksana PKM Unesa memberikan solusi  umum yang ditawarkan adalah pelatihan terkait produk halal, konsultasi usaha dalam bentuk pelatihan pembenahan managemen usaha dan pemasaran, bantuan teknologi pendukung untuk meningkatkan kapasitas produksi. Hasil kegiatan yang telah dicapai yaitu tim telah melakukan koordinasi internal tim pelaksana terkait pelaksanaan PKM, materi dan evaluasinya; tim PKM telah koordinasi dengan mitra dan telah melakukan kegiatan PKM, yaitu pelatihan terkait produk halal, managemen usaha dan pemberian alat berupa mixer pengaduk adonan roti. Selain itu, pelatihan mengenai produk halal juga diberikan untuk meningkatkan wawasan dan memotivasi mitra untuk mengajukan sertifikasi halal bagi produknya. business sectors that include various business activities with small to medium scale. Bread and cake "Amy kitchen" is one of the UMKM in bread and cake sector  in Tamanarum Village, Magetan. Partners experience problems related to the legality of halal products, business management management and increasing the production capacity of the products produced.  To solve their problem, the Unesa PKM team provides general solutions offered are training related to halal products, business consultation in the form of training on improving business management and marketing, supporting technology assistance to increase production capacity. The results of the activities that have been achieved are that the team has carried out internal coordination of the implementation team related to the implementation of PKM, material and evaluation; The PKM team has coordinated with partners and has carried out PKM activities, namely training related to halal products, business management and providing tools in the form of bread dough mixer mixers. In addition, training on halal products is also provided to increase insight and motivate partners to apply for halal certification for their products

Abstract

Environmental pollution due to urea can negatively impact the environment and its surroundings. Efforts to prevent environmental pollution include encapsulating urea made of chitosan/NaTPP/Ca, which aims to determine its physical and chemical properties. This study crosslinks chitosan 1.66%, with NaTPP 3.33%, CaO, with variations in the addition of urea concentrations of 0.05%, 0.1%, 0.15%, 0.2%, and 0.25%. The results of FTIR characterization showed that there were functional groups OH-, C-H, Ca-O, NH, and P=O. The membrane weight yield ranges from 0.14-0.16 grams, while the average membrane thickness is 0.15-0.35 mm. The water absorption test is 1.86-2.64%, and the membrane porosity result is 0.91-2,25%. This shows that the membrane with a base material of 1.66% chitosan and 3.33% NaTPP is the best.

Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively examine the implementation of the ethnoscience approach in teaching chemical bonding and its contribution to improving students' science literacy, particularly at the high school level. The ethnoscience approach is believed to be able to connect abstract scientific concepts with local cultural values, practices, and artifacts, thereby making learning more contextual, meaningful, and relevant to students' lives. The research method employed is a systematic literature review, utilizing the PRISMA framework. The initial search process identified 100 articles from various reputable databases. These articles were selected based on predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria, resulting in 20 articles that met the criteria for in-depth analysis. The analyzed articles were published between 2022 and 2025 and indexed in SINTA and Scopus databases. The synthesis results showed that most studies reported an increase in science literacy through the integration of local culture in chemistry learning. The most dominant learning models were project-based learning and inquiry, followed by contextual learning, as well as other approaches that emphasized active student involvement. Ethnoscience integration was applied at various levels, with a primary focus on junior high and senior high schools, and to some extent on teachers or general contexts. The forms of local wisdom used varied, including regional traditions, batik, and wayang, which were generally combined with innovative learning media to connect chemical concepts with socio-cultural realities. The main findings confirm that the ethnoscience approach not only contributes to improving students' conceptual understanding, critical thinking skills, and scientific attitudes but also fosters awareness and appreciation of local culture. This pattern also reflects the trend of culture-based learning innovation in Indonesia, which is increasingly relevant in addressing the demands of the Merdeka Curriculum. Thus, the application of ethnoscience is recommended as an effective strategy to enhance science literacy while preserving the nation's cultural values.    Keywords: systematic literature review, science literacy, chemical bonds.

Abstract

Dental caries is a disease that can damage hard tooth tissue caused by the activity of Streptococcus mutans bacteria. Streptococcus mutans bacteria are the leading cause of dental caries disease. Efforts to prevent dental caries can be made using toothpaste, but toothpaste cannot reach areas that are difficult to reach with a toothbrush. Another method that can be used is mouthwash. This study was developed with the active ingredient compound HAp-chitosan-bay leaf oil in mouthwash to have an antimicrobial effect to prevent dental caries. This study aimed to determine the chemical physics characteristics and antibacterial activity of mouthwash preparations based on hydroxyapatite-chitosan-bay leaf oil. In this study, the active ingredients hydroxyapatite-chitosan-bay leaf oil was used with variations in the concentration of bay leaf oil, namely 0.5, 1.5, and 2.5 %. FT-IR characterization showed the presence of OH, N-H, CH, C=O, C=C, C-O, and PO43- functional groups. The pH test on the mouthwash showed compliance with the quality standard for mouthwash pH, which has a pH range of 5-7. The homogeneity test results in the mouthwash preparation showed no sediment or separation. Antibacterial activity testing showed that the HAp-chitosan-bay leaf oil mouthwash preparation inhibited the growth of Streptococcus mutans bacteria. The inhibition zone in the strong category with an average of 12.75 mm was shown in the HAp-chitosan-bay leaf oil mouthwash preparation formulation with a concentration of 2.5% bay leaf oil with the addition of sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS).

Abstract

Susu sapi merupakan sumber pangan yang memiliki sumber gizi lengkap, namun daya simpan yang singkat karena tidak adanya bahan penguat membuatnya pekat terhadap bau amis dan mengakibatkan mual. Keju rendah lemak sebagai inovasi dalam penguatan ketahanan pangan susu. Keju merupakan produk hasil fermentasi dengan susu sebagai bahan dasar yang memiliki beraneka macam tekstur, rasa, dan bentuk. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi dan pelatihan dalam mengolah susu sapi menjadi produk keju rendah lemak terhadap Pekerja Migran Indonesia untuk meningkatkan taraf wirausaha dengan nilai jual yang tinggi. Kegiatan mencakup pemaparan materi pelatihan, pendampingan praktek, dan diakhiri dengan refleksi serta pemberian angket. Dengan pelatihan ini pengetahuan dan keterampilan PMI meningkat, baik yang jarang bahkan belum pernah mengikuti pelatihan serupa dan memiliki keinginan kuat untuk merintis usaha.

Abstract

Highlights: • This research analyzed a previously understudied subject in Surabaya, Indonesia, and discovered knockdown resistance (kdr) mutations in Aedes albopictus. • The findings of this study can prompt further research, including bioassay testing and the development of more potent insecticides. Abstarct : Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) has been endemic in Indonesia for decades. Insecticides are necessary to manage the transmission of the dengue virus. However, prolonged use of insecticides can lead to insecticide resistance. This study aimed to examine the genotype of mosquitoes using the allele-specific polymerase chain reaction (ASPCR) method. The ASPCR method was chosen for genotype detection due to its high sensitivity, affordability, and ease of design. Five mosquitoes were collected from human habitation in four different areas of Surabaya, Indonesia, namely Kranggan, Ulul Azmi Mosque, Ploso, and Kalijudan. Among them, three samples were identified as Aedes albopictus (A1, A2, and A5) and two samples were identified as Aedes aegypti (A3 and A4). The frequency of resistant alleles was analyzed using the Hardy-Weinberg package in RStudio version 2023.03.1. This study revealed that two mosquitoes carried homozygous mutant alleles with a band of 113 bp and three mosquitoes carried homozygous wild-type alleles with a band of 93 bp. Cysteine-to-cysteine (C/C) mutations and phenylalanine-to-phenylalanine (F/F) mutations at codon 1534 were observed in Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus mosquitoes. The homozygous mutant alleles were found in Kranggan, Surabaya, Indonesia. Further research is required to assess insecticide resistance and knockdown resistance (kdr)-like mutation by collecting more representative samples from larger areas within the region of Surabaya. Nevertheless, this study can be used as a reference for vector control and early prevention of dengue fever.

Abstract

Tanaman padi menjadi salah satu sumber bahan pokok yang paling besar dikonsumsi manusia, namun serangan hama pertanian sering kali menjadi masalah yang membuat tanaman padi mengalami penurunan produktivitas, selain itu perubahan iklim dan kebutuhan energi yang kian meningkat memicu pengembangan sistem pertanian pintar. Integrasi Teknologi IoT untuk Pengendalian Hama dan Optimasi VPD pada Pertanian Padi Berbasis PLTS menjadi salah satu terobosan teknologi dalam bidang pertanian untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang ada. Teknologi ini merupakan pengembangan sistem pertanian cerdas yang dapat mengendalikan hama serta melakukan pemantauan mikroklimat untuk meningkatkan produksi maupun kualitas hasil panen pada kelompok tani Jombang. Sistem ini terinterasi dengan Internet of Think (IoT) serta berbagai jenis sensor seperti sensor suhu, kelembaban, lidar, rain drop, intentitas cahaya, curah hujan, tekanan udara, moinsture, pH, kecepatan angin yang berfungsi untuk mengumpulkan data secara real-time sebagai dasar dalam pengambilan keputusan pengendalian hama serta optimasi kondisi tanaman. Sistem ini ditenagai oleh panel surya yang dikombinasikan dengan baterai, sehingga dapat beroperasi secara mandiri dan berkelanjutan.
