Abstract

B-cell lymphoma 2 (BCL-2) is an anti-apoptotic protein implicated in the progression and chemoresistance of multiple cancers. This study integrates QSAR-based machine learning (ML) classification and molecular docking to identify potential BCL-2 inhibitors. The Gradient Boosting classifier trained on PubChem fingerprints (881 bits) achieved the best predictive performance (accuracy: 83.52%, ROC-AUC: 0.8829). External virtual screening further identified high-probability active compounds, including Beclomethasone Dipropionate (0.9880) and Ulipristal Acetate (0.9866), highlighting their potential for drug repurposing. Docking analysis showed that Ulipristal Acetate exhibited the strongest binding affinity (–8.187 kcal/mol), forming a hydrogen bond with GLY A:145 and engaging key residues within the BH3-binding pocket of BCL-2. These findings demonstrate the effectiveness of QSAR-ML–assisted virtual screening in prioritizing repurposable candidates for BCL-2 inhibition.

Abstract

Correlation analysis is used if you want to know whether there is a correlation between two phenomena. To determine the type of correlation to be used, researchers need to consider whether or not the assumption of normality and data characteristics are met. The purpose of this study was to compare the results of the analysis using several correlation tests with both parametric and non-parametric approaches. The method used is to provide data simulation with three types of data characteristics, namely normal, skewed and data containing outliers. The test used is the correlation in the parametric approach with the Pearson Product Moment Test, while for the non-parametric approach is the Spearman Rank and Kendall Tau Rank tests. Furthermore, a case study is given. The results show that in correlation testing without considering data distribution and data characteristics. Can produce inaccurate conclusions.

Abstract

The 7 Kebiasaan Anak Indonesia Hebat program is one of the priority program of the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education of the Republic of Indonesia. It aims to develop students with strong academic ability, good behavior, and strong character. The program is implemented in all primary and secondary schools, and thus large amounts of data must be summarized for monthly reports. Urban schools often use Google Forms or digital applications to record students’ activities, while schools in smaller towns or rural areas still rely on paper forms. Limited access to smartphones and internet connections among parents makes online data collection difficult. Consequently, teachers must manually summarize data using spreadsheet applications, increasing their workload—especially when managing many students. This study proposes the use of Canny Edge Detection to automate data processing from OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) sheets. By scanning or photographing filled OMR sheets, the system can accurately read and convert students’ responses into digital data. This method allows teachers to digitize the reporting process and reduce manual work. Using this method, the accuracy of reading the OMR sheets can reach 81% while the need of informing the parents to fill the form correctly since some tested data shown recall data reached 68%.

Abstract

This study examines the role of Islamic psychology interventions in strengthening student resilience and mental well-being in contemporary educational settings. Growing concerns about rising stress, anxiety, and emotional instability among students highlight the need for culturally grounded and spiritually informed mental health support. Islamic psychology, with its integrative view of the human soul (nafs), cognition, emotion, and spiritual consciousness, offers a holistic framework that complements modern psychological approaches. Concepts such as tawakkul (trust in God), sabr (patience), dzikr (mindfulness of God), and emotional self-regulation rooted in prophetic tradition provide alternative pathways for promoting resilience and well-being. The study aims to identify effective Islamic psychology-based interventions and evaluate their relevance and applicability within modern school contexts. A qualitative design was used, involving document analysis of classical and contemporary Islamic psychology literature, thematic analysis of intervention models, and semi-structured interviews with Islamic psychologists, school counsellors, and educators. The multi-source data allow for an in-depth exploration of both theoretical foundations and practical school-based applications. The findings indicate that Islamic psychological interventions enhance resilience through three primary mechanisms: strengthening spiritual coping strategies, cultivating emotional regulation through reflective practices, and reinforcing positive self-concept grounded in divine purpose. Schools implementing these approaches report improvements in students’ stress management, interpersonal relationships, and overall emotional well-being. The study concludes that integrating Islamic psychology into school-based mental health programs provides a culturally responsive and spiritually enriching alternative for student support. The findings highlight the potential of Islamic psychological principles to bridge faith-based values and contemporary mental health needs in diverse educational environments.
