Abstract

This research aims to find out how the use of augmented reality learning media affects students' understanding of science subjects, namely the five senses of sight. This research used a pre-experimental quantitative approach with One Group Pretest Posttest Design. The subjects in the research were the class III homeroom teacher and 19 students at SDN Pangarangan III. Data collection carried out included interviews, media tests, pretests and posttests. This research activity was carried out in three meetings, namely in the first meeting there was an interview with the class 3A teacher to find out what problems existed in the class. Next is the second meeting, namely a discussion about the media that the author has created for the homeroom teacher. Followed by the third meeting, namely conducting a trial of augmented reality media and then carrying out pretest work and posting it online. The results of this research show that there is a positive influence on students' understanding of science material from the use of augmented reality learning media. It can be concluded that the use of this media can increase students' understanding of the subject matter because the N-Gain score test analysis produces an average score of 0.37 so it is included in the "medium" group.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the effectiveness of using digital-based snakes and ladders learning media in improving the basic writing skills of grade I students at SDN JULUK II. Writing is a fundamental skill that is critical to a child's academic progress, but often faces challenges, especially at the early grade level. The snakes and ladders game is one of the traditional games that is very popular with children and can be modified into learning media. Through digital adaptation, this game can be adapted to learning materials, including writing skills. Digital-based snakes and ladders media enables a learning experience that involves active interaction. Learners can learn to write while playing, which indirectly improves their motivation and writing skills. The method applied in this study was a quantitative approach with a quasi-experiment design of non-equivalent control group design, involving two groups: an experimental group that utilized digital media and a control group that applied conventional methods. The study showed a significant improvement in learners' writing skills, with 80.95% of learners achieving minimum completion after the treatment, compared to only 23.81% in the pretest. Research using simple linear regression indicated that the utilization of digital-based snakes and ladders learning media contributed positively to the improvement of writing skills. In conclusion, this media proved to be effective and can be recommended as an innovative learning tool to improve learners' beginning writing skills in primary schools

Abstract

This article examines children's illustrated stories as a literary work that has the potential to instill character values in the midst of the condition of children who experience obstacles in processing information properly, building relationships between various information, analyzing information, evaluating, and concluding it. The character value in question is the value of the Pancasila student profile, especially in the critical reasoning dimension. This study aims to determine the value of the critical reasoning dimension contained in the illustrated story of a Madurese child "Atane Buja". An analytical descriptive qualitative approach is used in this study. The children's illustrated story "Atane Buja" by Baytil Qudsiyah is the main source of research data that can be accessed through the website of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology. The findings of the research, in the form of excerpts from the story of Atane Buja, are presented with a table. The results of this study show that the elements of acquiring and processing information and ideas, analyzing and evaluating reasoning, reflecting and evaluating their own thoughts are contained in the pictorial story of Atane Buja's child which can be adapted to events in students' lives. This children's illustrated story can be used as an effective learning medium in the formation and development of the character of elementary school students, especially in the critical reasoning aspect.

Abstract

This article aims to examine the influence of the family environment on student achievement through a systematic literature review approach. A supportive family environment, in the form of emotional support, attention to education, and active parental involvement, has been shown to have a positive impact on student academic achievement. On the other hand, an unharmonious family environment or parental neglect can potentially reduce student motivation and achievement. Through the analysis of various previous studies, this article identifies factors contributing to student achievement, such as the quality of communication within the family, the role of parents in education, and the child's emotional well-being. The results of the systematic literature review show that a conducive and supportive family environment has a significant influence on improving student achievement in school. This article also provides insights into the importance of collaboration between parents, schools, and the community in creating an environment that supports students' academic development.
