Abstract

PT X, a power generation company, hasn’t been able to meet their target in the business development segment over the past few years. This is due to a problem detected in their Project Portfolio Management, in which PT X’s project selection method hasn’t considered the ambiguity nature of project’s information and risks. This study is going to develop a project selection method for PT X using MCDM (multi criteria decision making) with BOCR (benefit, opportunity, cost, risk) Concept to evaluate many criteria that need to be considered by the company, especially conflicting criteria such as benefit with cost and opportunity with risk. Not only that, hesitant fuzzy will be used because project itself has many uncertain or ambiguous information, so stakeholder will face difficulties in determining the value for the evaluation. From the integration of those things in this study, it is found that for PT X, Benefit has the biggest priority, followed by Opportunity, Risk, and Cost in Project Selection for PT X. It is also found that based on additive-BOCR, Project C gives the optimal value for PT X, followed by Project B, Project A, Project D, dan Project E.

Abstract

A proper maintenance project selection is a key to support performance of power plant. The issue of maintenance is allocation a limited budget to achieve the goals of various maintenance criteria and conflicting objectives. This paper presents an integrated AHP and goal programming. In the first step, since maintenance is measured in qualitative criteria, it is recommended to use AHP to weight and quantify criteria. Second step utilize GP which uses the criteria weights and alternative priorities calculated with AHP to optimize multiple objectives without exceeding available resource constraint. The results show that the approach can aid in selection optimal projects within available budget.

Abstract

This research to analyze the factors that cause risks of low back pain (L5/S1) on Manual Material Handling activities at raw material warehouse and finished goods warehouse. Objective is to determine the factors that cause low back pain (L5/S1), analyze the proposed improvement work system alternative with benefit cost ratio (B/C). The importance of cost-benefits analysis of ergonomics interventions has been emphasized (Tompa et al., 2009; Rivilis et al., 2008). Methodology by observing MMH working system, and distributing job discomfort survey. For the quantitative calculation used RWL, LI and Chaffin’s Model. The model of analysis shows the factor effected to RWL and LI is variable V (vertical distance), D (distance movement), and L (heavy of load). Examples of alternatives proposed : (1) addition of scissor of lift trolleys, (2) addition in amount of workers and (3) modifying of lifting method. Alternative whose the B/C value ≥ 1 are feasible economically to be used. Top management needs a cost-benefit analysis proving the positive outcomes. This economics evaluation showed that ergonomic intervention justifies the costs of the implementation, leading to positive outcomes.

Abstract

Fuzzy goal programming (FGP) method used in supplier selection process shows that decision maker preferences on each fuzzy goal are not yet considered. In order to accommodate those preferences, that are stated as weight on each fuzzy goal, and called weighted fuzzy goal programming (WFGP) method. Then, the developed method is utilized to solve international supplier selection problem. There would be 4 objective functions developed i.e. to minimize net cost, to minimize late delivery, to minimize net rejected material, as well as to maximize business relationship. Maximization of business relationship objective function is intended to obtain right suppliers related to it score. Those objective functions are optimized subject to total demand, maximum supplier capacity, total purchasing cost based on owner estimate, and minimum order requested by suppliers. Linguistic variables are used to measure criterions in business relationship factor. To do so, fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) transforms that qualitative manner in linguistic variables to numerical number as a constant in business relationship objective function. Those proposed method provides enhanced solution that represent decision maker preferences than FGP. That is exhibited with equal relationship between weighted goals value and the output of those weighted goals.

Abstract

Some of the Indonesian naval effort to see and protect the Indonesian territory is by using Helicopter sea patrol. In the other side, submarines are the most strategic weapons in the world that can provide a deterrence effect which has a very significant impact on the maritime powers of the countries operating them in the era of generation 4.0 war. Operational readiness is very important, there are readiness in building operational readiness for naval defense through budget fulfillment, utilization of existing resources, procurement and naval modernization by paying attention to Life Cycle Cost, and interoperability while still paying attention to paradigm shifts in naval capability. So, the combat readiness is the condition of the Indonesian Navy's defense equipment and its constituent units, resources and personnel, weapon systems and other military technology equipment in a condition that is ready to carry out military operations in an unspecified time, or function consistent with the purpose for which the defense equipment is organized or designed, the management of resources and training personnel in preparation for combat in the face of the threat of modern warfare in a state of constant combat readiness. At this time, training in Anti-Submarine Warfare conducted by Indonesian Navy’s Helicopter is still limited to carrying out flight procedures, communication procedures with the KRI and the command line, because Helicopters have sensors, weapons and command that need to be upgraded and The personnel also have underwater warfare capabilities that need to be upgraded, so there needs to be an increase in the capability of the helicopter and human resources. Technometry will be used to calculate the Heli's current readiness level. Keywords: Submarine, Anti Submarine Helicopter and operational readiness

Abstract

Abstract

Komponen Dioda Limiter memiliki nilai CBR paling efisien, yaitu 0,57572.

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to (1) identify the criteria used as the basis for selecting surveyors who will conduct a survey of new building ships at new shipbuilding yards in East Java, (2) develop a measurement of the level of conformity of surveyors to survey activities of new building ships at new shipbuilding yards in East Java, and (3) provide recommendations for the assignment of surveyors who handle surveys of new building ships at new shipbuilding yards in East Java. Design/methodology/approach: The model used in this study is the AHP–COPRAS model, which is combined to select surveyors who will survey a new shipbuilding yard. First, the results of AHP processing will be separated for each shipyard class to know each shipyard's criteria and alternative weights. The next stage is an analysis using COPRAS. The questionnaire used to collect COPRAS data uses an ordinal scale. Respondents who will be involved in filling out the COPRAS questionnaire are surveyors at BKI Main Branch Surabaya. Next, COPRAS assesses each surveyor using the criteria and alternatives identified in the AHP process. Calculations on COPRAS also use the weights that have been generated from the AHP. At the final stage, different scores will be obtained for each surveyor for each class of shipyard under study. Findings: The highest utility value in Shipyard 1 was found in JX surveyors with a utility of 100%. Thus, at shipyard 1 the JX surveyor is the surveyor who is considered the most suitable to survey building ships at PT. BKI Main Branch Surabaya. The highest utility value in Shipyard 2 is found in surveyor AX with a utility of 100%. Thus, at Shipyard 2, the AX surveyor is the surveyor who is considered the most suitable for surveying shipbuilding at PT. BKI Main Branch Surabaya. The highest utility value at Shipyard 3 is found in JX surveyors with a utility of 100%. Thus, at Shipyard 3 the JX surveyor is the surveyor who is considered the most suitable to conduct a shipbuilding survey at PT. BKI Main Branch Surabaya. Paper type: Research paper

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze the criteria that can be used to select surveyors who will conduct periodic surveys of ships, analyze the level of surveyors on periodic ship survey activities at BKI Main Klas Surabaya Branch, and provide recommendations to BKI regarding the needs of surveyors who conduct periodic surveys of ships at BKI Branch. Main Surabaya Class. Design/methodology/approach: The model used in this study is the AHP – COPRAS model which is combined in selecting surveyors who will conduct periodic surveys. There are three levels in the AHP chart, namely objectives, criteria, and alternatives. The AHP chart aims to find suppliers that match field conditions and needs. The results of AHP processing are separated for each class of company ship so that the criteria and alternatives for each company can be known. The next stage is an analysis using COPRAS. This method is used to provide an assessment of each surveyor using the criteria and alternatives that have been identified in the AHP process. Calculations on COPRAS also use the weights generated from the AHP. In the final stage, different scores are obtained for each surveyor for each class of company served. Findings: There are five categories of ships studied, namely General Cargo Ship, Oil Tanker Ship, Offshore Service Vessel, Container Ship, and Passenger Ship. Experience in the maritime industry and experience carrying out survey activities are the most important criteria in selecting surveyors for all types of ships. Next is networking and track record alternately ranking second and third. Training and discussion became the last criteria that were considered important by the respondents. MN is the surveyor who gets the highest utility score for all types of surveys. This shows that the MN surveyor is the most suitable for all types of surveys available. AC and TB surveyors have ranked second and third alternately for the magnitude of utility value. Followed by other surveyors. Recommendations that can be given to companies regarding the assignment of surveyors who handle periodic surveys of ships at shipping companies in East Java are: The company already has criteria for the selection of surveyors, but the company can use the utility value generated from this study as consideration for selecting surveyors, and the company needs to evaluate the surveyor selection process that has been implemented in the company.
