Abstract

The abundance potential of Natural Resource (SDA) and Human Resources (HR) are still not providing a great space for the improvement of welfare for the mothers in Cantuk village, Banyuwangi. The data shown that most of housewives of Rampan Hamlet, Cantuk Village, were still many unemployed. However, on the one hand they had culinary skills in particular and traditional cuisine. Some culinary effort had been developed, one of which attempt to make banana, one of them was the banana chip business, but this effort did not last long because the product marketing was not maximized. From the background, through Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, mentoring housewives’ community in strengthening the capacity of traditional culinary product sales through “Jajanan Bengi Tombo Kangen” Bazaar. The results of this mentoring were able to mobilize the housewives who were members on Moslem Al-Hikmah Rampan Hamlet, and various Hamlet around Cantuk Village to initiate and realize traditional food marketing regularly. Through this Bazaar, variety housewives’ traditional products such as pancake, cenil, klepon, and other traditional food could be distributed and sold so well, as to increase their family's income from selling traditional food in "Jajanan Bengi Tombo Kangen" Bazaar.

Abstract

This community service research focuses on addressing financial management challenges faced by PP Mukhtar Syafa'at, an Islamic boarding school in Banyuwangi. Established in 1990 with a substantial student population, the school grappled with manual financial recording, leading to errors, omissions, and decentralized contributions handling. This study employed Participatory Action Research (PAR) to implement an integrated financial management solution, introducing computerized recording and an accompanying application. As a result, the school transitioned from a manual to an integrated system, bolstered by computerized recording and a financial reporting application, enhancing administrative accountability and accuracy in financial reporting.

Abstract

إن امراض التطرف خطيرة جدا‚ وفسد أسلوب المجتمع عند وجود المتطرفين فيه ومع ذالك وجود السؤال التطرف ما أسبابه وما علاجه فى المجتمع. أسّست هذه الرسالة على تفتيش الكتب صغارها وكبرها فى هذا الموضع. الحاصل من أسبابه التطرف الأسباب الدّينية والأسباب اللإجتماعيّة والأسباب السياسية والعلاج من التطرف هو اثنان : العلاج من التطرف بالقرأن الكريم والعلاج من التطرف بالسنة النبوية الشريعة. العلاج من التطرف هو الأيات التي تحث على الوسطية والإعتدال وكيفية الأمر والنهى والتيسير والرحمة ورفع الحرج والإحتكام إلى الشريعة والتزام التقوى وعدم البغي. وأماالأحاديث التى تحث هى العلاج من التطرف منها الأحاديث التى تحث على ترك الغلو وترك الإنعزال المذموم والأمر والنهى والتعاون ومرعاة حق المسلم وعدم التسرع فى التكفير وأهمية حسن الإتباع.

Abstract

The madrasa committee has an important role and function in building a culture of quality at MAN 2 Banyuwangi. The superior quality of MAN 2 Banyuwangi is the main target in madrasa management. This research aims to: (1) analyze the role and function of the madrasa committee in building a quality culture at MAN 2 Banyuwangi, (2) analyze the appropriate strategy for the madrasa committee to implement in building a quality culture at MAN 2 Banyuwangi, (3). identify the obstacles faced by the madrasa committee in building a culture of quality at MAN 2 Banyuwangi. This research includes field research using a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques in this research used observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis uses Miles and Huberman's interactive analysis which consists of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this research: (1) the role and function of the committee in building quality is to be a controller, a mediator, and a manager of donations. (2) Strategy for building a quality culture at MAN 2 Banyuwangi, the committee team created 6 strategies, namely: utilizing committee figures, building networks, collaborating with community leaders, building public trust, branding image and regular meetings. (3) The obstacle for madrasah committees in building a quality culture is the different paradigms of each HR party which influence the performance of the committee, the awareness of committee members and the busyness of each member so that there is less focus on performance.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to analyze the characteristics of transformative leadership by a Kyai at a pesantren-based campus, specifically at Universitas Nurul Jadid (UNUJA) in Paiton, Probolinggo. This qualitative research utilizes a case study methodology. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation. The data analysis process involved data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The study is grounded in Bernard M. Bass's theory of transformational leadership and Michael Armstrong's performance theory. The results indicate that Kyai Abdul Hamid Wahid, as the rector of Universitas Nurul Jadid, implements transformative leadership in several ways: 1) as an Agent of Change, he transformed IAI Nurul Jadid, STT Nurul Jadid, and STIKES Nurul Jadid into Universitas Nurul Jadid; 2) as a Master Planner, he formulated the milestones for Universitas Nurul Jadid as an international Islamic university.

Abstract

Visionary leadership is characterized by leaders who possess a clear vision to achieve the organization's goals. This study is motivated by the current developments that demand school leaders to innovate and advance to compete with other educational institutions. The aim of this research is to explore the development of quality management at MTs Al-Furqon Pasir Sakti through the visionary leadership style of the school principal. This involves the creation, formulation, and implementation of the school vision, with the principal's role being pivotal. The objective is to become visionary leaders to advance the school and achieve high quality standards. This qualitative descriptive research involved the school principal, vice principals, teachers, and students. Data collection methods included interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis involved reviewing all data, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The findings indicate that the principal's visionary leadership in developing quality management at MTs Al-Furqon Pasir Sakti focuses on quality functions and management processes including planning, organizing, managing, monitoring, and evaluating. The steps in visionary leadership include: (1) Creating the school's vision and mission based on its ideals and contextual situation, (2) Formulating a unique and unprecedented vision, socializing the principal's ideas, and gathering feedback from all members, (3) Guiding and motivating the principal to realize the vision through concrete actions, and (4) Enhancing student capabilities and improving school quality. Consequently, MTs Al-Furqon Pasir Sakti has an excellent class program designed by the principal, taking into account the unique talents of the students.

Abstract

The character of santri is one of the objectives of implementing educational supervision in Islamic boarding school education units. The aim of this research is to analyze and interpret the implementation of educational supervision in forming the character of santri in the educational unit at the Darussalam Islamic Boarding School Blokagung Banyuwangi, East Java, Indonesia. This research approach method uses a qualitative case study with key informants, the Head of education and teaching and members of the quality assurance unit using the Miles and Huberman interactive analysis model. The research results show that the character of santri who require continuous coaching is related to increased behavior, responsibility, honesty, discipline, thriftiness, caring and independence. Implementing supervision of santri character education as an evaluation of the implementation of institutional quality assurance by continuing to improve coordination, communication and collaboration in handling student problems. Integrated development that is controlled through standard operating procedures as an evaluation of the results of monitoring the character of santri and improving governance can be an effort to improve the quality of education.

Abstract

Pesantren as religious educational institutions are required to direct students to have strong religious knowledge. However, in its development, pesantren also equip students with more worldly sciences such as entrepreneurial knowledge as taught at the Fathul ulum Ngoro Islamic boarding school, Jombang. From previous studies, we can conclude that the cultivation of entrepreneurial values and principles is important to be applied to students and pesantren so that in the midst of this global arena, students and pesantren still survive and can fill posts in the field of work in the community. Keywords : Entrepreneurship for Santri Pondok Pesantren in the Era of Globalization Abstrak : Pesantren sebagai lembaga pendidikan keagamaan dituntut untuk mengarahkan santri memiliki bekal ilmu agama yang kuat. Namun, dalam perkembangannya pesantren juga membekali santri dengan ilmu-ilmu pengetahuan yang lebih duniawi seperti pengetahuan enterpreneur sebagaimana diajarkan di pondok pesantren Fathul ulum Ngoro, Jombang. Abstract

Strategi manajemen kepala sekolah memiliki fungsi penting dalam meminimalisir terjadinya konflik serta meningkatkan peluang keberhasilan tujuan sekolah melalui pengendalian konflik pendidikan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis identifikasi potensi konflik, klasifikasi potensi konflik dan strategi manajemen kepala sekolah dalam mengelola konflik pendidikan. Pendekatan penelitian ini yaitu kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Adapun lokasi penelitian ini adalah di SMP Roudlotussalam Watukebo Blimbingsari Banyuwangi. Informan kunci dalam penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah, guru bimbingan konseling, wakil kepala bidang kesiswaan dan komite. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Untuk menguji kredibilitas data maka peneliti melakukan triangulasi. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan model analisis interaktif Miles, Huberman dan Saldana yaitu kondensi data, display data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini (1) identifikasi konflik dengan observasi, laporan dan interaksi langsung, (2) mengklasifikasi potensi konflik serius atau tidak, perlu penanganan serius atau tidak, bertujuan untuk mencari solusi dan strategi tepat, (3) manajemen strategi kepala sekolah melalui:  Pertama, perencanaan analisis setiap bulan melalui rapat dengan melibatkan kepala sekolah, guru bimbingan konseling, wakil kepala bidang kesiswaan dan komite. Kedua, penyelesaian konflik dengan musyawarah melibatkan mediator (komite). Ketiga, evaluasi konflik melalui rapat setiap bulan untuk menyelesaikan dan mengantisipasi konflik dengan melibatkan pihak terkait.

Abstract

Management of learning values, as is known as TQM, is a procedure for continuously strengthening performance at every level of operation or process in every functional zone in a particular organization with a broad background, namely the use of human resources and a lot of existing capital. Meanwhile, "Ross and William Mantja" define TQM as the unification of functions and processes in an organizational framework in order to obtain optimal value in terms of quality of goods and income from sustainable products and services. This received a breath of fresh air with the existence of Law No. 20 of 2003, concerning the national education system. Government regulations and other laws recognize that madrasas are public schools with Islamic characteristics.Referring to the explanation above, seeing the very importance of quality management in educational institutions, and the very importance of making continuous improvements (Continuous Improvement) in Quality Culture, the researcher wants to carry out research with the title "Analysis of Continuous Improvement in Madrasah Quality Culture in Banyuwangi Regency." This research is in the form of a qualitative descriptive study seen from an educational perspective using interview, observation and documentation data collection instruments. It is called qualitative because the nature of the data collected is analyzed qualitatively, not quantitatively using certain measuring instruments.Continuous Improvement or continuous system improvement is one of the ten main elements in TQM. Every product and/or service is produced by utilizing certain processes in a system.
