Abstract

Weather changes play a crucial role in key sectors in Indonesia, such as agriculture and fisheries. However, limited weather data in all regions is an obstacle. This research proposes an innovative Arduino-based weather monitoring instrument that is flexible, economical and increases data availability in Indonesia. The ergonomic and flexible design of the Portable Weather Station allows mobility without dependence on building structures. With real-time monitoring using sensors for temperature, humidity, air pressure, wind speed and wind direction, this tool provides comprehensive information. Field testing shows good operation. The diversity of sensor parameters and efficient design make the Portable Weather Station innovative. Optimizing energy use and integration of advanced technologies, such as remote monitoring and cloud data processing, are recommended. The benefits involve easy and accurate access to weather information, supporting vital sectors. With continuous monitoring and evaluation, the Portable Weather Station has the potential to be an effective solution in dynamic weather monitoring, advancing sectors such as agriculture, fisheries and environmental policy, and creating communities that are more resilient to climate and economic change.

Abstract

Meskipun keadaan ekonomi di Indonesia melambat di tahun 2015, industri ritel masih diprediksi akan terus berkembang hingga tahun 2017. PT Matahari Department Store Tbk (Matahari atau Perseroan) adalah salah satu perusahaan ritel terkemuka di Indonesia. Setiap eksekutif sadar betul akan pentingnya kepuasan pelanggan setia. Namun, tidak semua eksekutif memahami pentingnya menciptakan kepuasan dan loyalitas di tingkat karyawan. Kepuasan kerja juga memiliki kaitan dengan kinerja organisasi. Kasus yang terutama terjadi di industri jasa, di mana para pekerja yang tidak puas kerap memicu ketidakpuasan banyak pelanggan. Para manajer dapat secara potensial meningkatkan motivasi para karyawan melalui berbagai usaha untuk meningkatkan kepuasan kerja.. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah metode explanatory research. Pemilihan sampel menggunakan puposive sampling. Sampel yang digunakan adalah 86 orang karyawan Matahari Departement Store cabang Paragon kota Semarang. Metode analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Analisis Regresi Linear Berganda. Studi menunjukkan bahwa ada tiga cara untuk meningkatkan kepuasan kerja para karyawan: pertama, bahwa kompensasi merupakan faktor terkuat yang secara langsung berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan kerja mereka, kedua, faktor lingkungan kerja yang baik akan mampu menciptakan motivasi mereka yang akan berdampak pada kepuasan kerjanya, dan ketiga, faktor yang dapat meningkatkan kepuasan kerja adalah desain kerja yang jelas akan mampu menciptakan motivasi kerja mereka, yang pada akhirnya akan berdampak pada kepuasan kerja mereka. Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of work discipline, work motivation, organizational commitment on job satisfaction in improving nursing performance. The research respondents were nurses in the city of Semarang. The sample used in this study was determined by a non-probability sampling method, which obtained a sample of 190 respondents. The data in this study were obtained using a questionnaire method, which was filled independently. The analysis used in this study used multiple linear regression. This study proves and concludes that work discipline, work motivation, and organizational commitment positively affect job satisfaction. work discipline and organizational commitment positively affect nursing performance. However, work motivation and job satisfaction do not affect nursing performance. The research findings can be used as management consideration to improve the nursing performance in Semarang Indonesia and other countries with similar characteristics by applying the model to increase performance. The research is an original one. The findings add a discourse concerning the effect of work discipline, work motivation, organizational commitment, and job satisfaction on performance in nursing institutions in a developing country, Indonesia. Nursing institutions can consider the model to enhance nursing performance. Researchers can widen the scope of research for future research to overcome the problem of the generalization of research findings.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of work environment, training, and competence on work satisfaction in improving employee performance. The object in this study is PT. Asaputex Jaya, located in Tegal City, engaged in woven sarong’s trading business with the Korma Tree brand. The sample used in this study was determined by a simple random sampling method, obtaining 105 respondents. The data in this study were obtained through a questionnaire that was filled out independently. The analysis used in this study uses the analysis method of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). This study proves and concludes that: work environment and work training have a significant positive effect on work satisfaction. However, competence does not affect work satisfaction. Besides, the work environment negatively affects employee performance, and work training does not affect employee performance. Also, competence and work satisfaction have a significant positive effect on employee performance. Further research must develop more varied models to provide different research findings, such as adding work stress variables, work motivation, work discipline, and others.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan mengevaluasi hubungan antara Kepuasan Kerja, Motivasi Kerja, dan Komitmen Pegawai yang mempengaruhi Kinerja Pegawai. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada Dinas Kepemudaan dan Olahraga Kota Semarang. Metode analisis pada penelitian ini menggunakan data primer kuantitatif, menggunakan metode penelitian analisis linier berganda, tahap uji yang dilakukan adalah: uji validitas, reliabilitas, normalitas, heteroskedastisitas, multikolinieritas, regresi linear berganda, uji F, uji t dan koefisien determinasi. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner dengan menyebarkan dan data valid yang berhasil dikumpulkan sebanyak 103 responden. Metode pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini adalah sensus sampling. Alat bantu pengujian yang digunakan adalah SPSS. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa variabel Kepuasan Kerja, Motivasi Kerja, dan Komitmen Pegawai secara parsial berpengaruh positif terhadap Kinerja Pegawai. Sedangkan secara simultan variabel Kepuasan Kerja, Motivasi Kerja, dan Komitmen Pegawai berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Kinerja Pegawai.

Abstract

The perspective of the majority of individuals reflects the view that working from home is actually more tiring compared to the experience of working face-to-face. WFH workers are often faced with difficulties in managing and optimizing the use of their time, even though they are physically at home. This research aims to conduct an in-depth evaluation of the impacts that influence digital fatigue experienced by workers in the virtual office era, especially those with Sandwich Generation status. Quantitative methods with the SEM-PLS approach were used with a census sample of 582 respondents. The findings indicate that the digital fatigue experienced by the Sandwich Generation is not influenced by work pressure. This research makes a contribution by placing a focus on sandwich generation workers. This creates novelty because it brings a specific dimension of the sandwich generation into the virtual office context.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to develop a model of the relationship between knowledge sharing, integrity, organizational commitment and work productivity of Bank Contact Center employees. The research respondents consisted of 150 employees who worked in banking in the Contact Center section. Primary data was obtained by distributing questionnaires via Google Form. Data analysis uses the Structural Equation Model method with the SmartPLS application version 3.0. Three stages of testing were held: measurement model testing, structural model testing, and indirect effect testing. The research results show that knowledge sharing and integrity have a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment and work productivity. Organizational commitment partially mediates the effect of knowledge sharing and integration on work productivity.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of the work environment, organizational culture, and leadership style on employee work discipline at Apac Inti Corpora. A quantitative approach was used, with a questionnaire distributed to 279 employees selected as the sample, calculated using the Slovin formula with a 5% margin of error, from a population of 2,514 employees. The sampling technique applied was random sampling to ensure that the selection process was random and representative of the entire population. The collected data was analyzed using SPSS 25 software to examine the relationship between the three independent variables and one dependent variable. The leadership style variable specifically assesses staff perspectives on their supervisor's leadership style. The results of the study show that the work environment does not have a significant positive impact on work discipline. However, organizational culture and leadership style were found to have a significant positive effect on employee work discipline. Specifically, these findings indicate that a conducive work environment, supportive organizational culture, and effective leadership style can enhance employees' work discipline in performing their roles and responsibilities.

Abstract

Untuk menarik perhatian mahasiswa terhadap kewirausahaan, sangat penting untuk memperhatikan program wirausahaan merdeka, self efficacy, dan tolerance for risk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji keterkaitan antara minat berwirausaha mahasiswa Universitas Dian Nuswantoro dengan tiga faktor: program kewirausahaan merdeka, self efficacy, dan tolerance for risk. Dalam penelitian ini, digunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan melibatkan 151 responden yang dipilih melalui teknik pengambilan simple random sampling dengan syarat mahasiswa Udinus yang pernah mengikuti program wmk pada tahun 2023. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner, dan analisis dilakukan menggunakan perangkat lunak IBM SPSS versi 26. Berbagai jenis uji, termasuk validitas dan reliabilitas, asumsi klasik, regresi linier berganda, serta pengujian hipotesis dilakukan. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa Universitas Dian Nuswantoro cenderung lebih berminat untuk memulai usaha mereka sendiri jika memiliki tingkat tolerance for risk, self efficacy, serta mengikuti program wirausaha merdeka.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the influence of leadership style and work environment on organizational citizenship behavior of employees of Perum Perhutani, Central Java regional division in Semarang city. This study uses quantitative methods. Data collection using questionnaire instruments that are distributed directly, and analysis using IBM SPSS Statistics. The results show that leadership style has a positive effect on OCB, while the work environment does not affect OCB. Therefore, Perum Perhutani is expected to improve its work environment so that loyalty and organizational citizenship behavior increase. Further researchers are expected to explore other related objects and variables, such as in the banking sector, and employee satisfaction in further research.
