Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini ialah meningkatkan ketrampilan guru dalam menulis artikel ilmiah. Metode kegiatan menggunakan sosialisasi formal. Sasaran kegiatan ini ialah guru SMAN 1 Amuntai Utara sebanyak 30 orang. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa para guru telah mengetahui secara tepat mekanisme dan sistematika penulisan artikel ilmiah, serta proses publikasi artikel  ilmiah. Hasil kegiatan ini diharapakan para guru mampu mengaktulisasikan pengetahuan yang diperoleh selama kegiatan sehingga dapat meningkatkan profesionalitas dan kompetensi guru. Community service aims to improve the teacher's skills in writing scientific articles. The method of activity uses formal socialization. The target of this activity is 30 teachers of SMAN 1 Amuntai Utara. The results of the events showed that the teachers knew the mechanism and system of writing scientific articles, as well as the process of publishing scientific articles. It hoped that the results of this activity would enable the teachers to be able to activate the knowledge gained during the event to increase the professionalism and competence of teachers.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang penerapan model project based learning dengan tugas mind-map materi larutan penyangga. Tujuandari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan keterampilan berpikir kreatif dan hasil belajar peserta didik yang belajar menggunakan pendekatan saintifik dengan model pembelajaran project based learning dengan tugas mind-map dan peserta didik yang belajar menggunakan pendekatan saintifik pada materi larutan penyangga. Penelitian ini menggunakan quasi experiment dan desain nonequivalent control group. Sampel penelitian, yaitu kelas eksperimen adalah XI MIPA 4 dan kelas kontrol adalah XI MIPA 2 MAN 2 Model Banjarmasin. Sampel diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik tes dan non-tes digunakan untuk pengumpulan data. Uji Mann Whitney digunakan untuk analisis data. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan berpikir kreatif dan hasil belajar peserta didik berbeda antara yang belajar menggunakan pendekatan saintifik dengan model pembelajaran project based learning dengan tugas mind-map dan yang belajar menggunakan pendekatan saintifik pada materi larutan penyangga.

Abstract

Penelitian mengenai pengembangan e-modul berbasis mikroskopis untuk melatih keterampilan berpikir kreatif peserta didik pada materi larutan hidrolisis garam dan larutan penyangga di SMA Negeri 5 Banjarmasin ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan dari e-modul yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian R&D dengan model 4D. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI MIPA 2 SMA Negeri 5 Banjarmasin sebanyak 33 orang pada uji coba kelompok kecil dan uji coba kelompok besar. Data diperoleh melalui angket observasi awal, validasi, keterbacaan, angket respon peserta didik dan guru, lembar observasi kompetensi guru menggunakan e-modul dan mengelola kelas serta tes hasil berpikir kreatif. Hasil analisis validitas dari validator menunjukkan e-modul yang dikembangkan berkategori sangat valid. Kepraktisan e-modul yang diuji coba kelompok kecil, uji coba kelompok besar, dan uji coba terbatas menunjukkan kategori sangat praktis. Keefektifan pada uji coba terbatas menunjukkan e-modul yang dikembangkan efektif dengan N-gain berkategori tinggi. Dengan demikian, disimpulkan e-modul praktikum biokimia layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

Pengembangan Electronic Chemistry Pocket Book (E-CPB) terintegrasi mind mapping pada materi koloid berbasis lahan basah bertujuan untuk mengetahui validitas, praktikalitas dan efektifitas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah PPE yang terdiri dari (planning) (production), dan (evaluation). Subjek penelitian ini yaitu 32 orang peserta didik kelas XI MIPA 2 SMA Negeri 2 Banjarmasin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa e-book yang dikembangkan dinyatakan valid dari aspek kelayakan isi 94,54%, penyajian 87,27%, bahasa 86,81% dan media 93,75% dengan kategori masing-masing sangat valid. E-book yang telah memenuhi memenuhi aspek praktikalitas dilihat dari angket keterbacaan e-book pada uji perorangan memperoleh rata-rata 3,44 dan kelompok kecil memperoleh rata-rata 3,4 dengan kategori sangat baik. Angket respon guru dan peserta didik memperoleh skor masing-masing 3,4 dengan ketegori sangat baik. Lembar praktikalitas menggunakan e-book rata rata 3,42 hari pertama, 3,60 hari kedua, 3,67 hari ketiga kategori sangat baik serta lembar praktikalitas guru mengelola kelas rata-rata 3,31 hari pertama, 3,64 hari kedua, 3,71 hari ketiga dengan ketegori sangat baik. E-book juga telah memenuhi aspek efektifitas yang dilihat berdasarkan N-gain 0,86 termasuk dalam kategori tinggi.

Abstract

Misconceptions are errors in a concept that must be identified early; it is essential so that it does not become the cause of errors in the next concept. This study aims to analyze the causes of misconceptions of class X students at SMK Negeri 2 Banjarmasin on acid-base material, which was measured using a four-tier diagnostic test instrument. This research method is descriptive quantitative-qualitative. They collect data using test techniques with four-tier diagnostic test instruments and non-tests through interviews. The results showed that 41.46% of students experienced misconceptions of acid-base theory sub-concepts by 46.73% (medium category), the nature of acid-base solutions had misconceptions of 29.44% (low category), acid-base indicators had misconceptions of 41, 43% (medium category), acid strength (pH) 44.86% (medium category) and the calculation of the pH of the solution concentration of 44.86% (medium category). The causes are misconceptions of wrong intuition, associative thinking, students' abilities, and learning interests. Keywords: misconception, four-tier ,acid base

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine teacher and student activities as well as to improve student learning outcomes. This research used Classroom Action Research (CAR). This research was conducted in two cycles. This research was conducted in class IV-A of SDN Melayu 2 with 22 students. The data were analyzed qualitatively, namely teacher and student activities, and quantitatively, namely student learning outcomes. The data generated from the instrument sheet, observation sheets and learning outcomes tests were then analyzed using descriptive techniques and described in the form of tables and graphs, then students understood using the criteria for each indicator of the achievement of teacher activities and activities, as well as the achievement of mastery learning and individually classic. The study's findings showed that the teacher's activity in cycle 1 obtained a score of 19 "Good" criteria, increasing in cycle 2 to 22 with "Very Good" criteria. Student activity also increased in cycle 1, obtaining 55% with the criteria of "Enough Active" and increased in cycle 2 to 86% with the "Very Active" criteria. Likewise, student learning outcomes in cycle 1 obtained 64% of students who completed and increased in cycle 2 to 86% of students who completed. Based on the results of this study, there was an increase in teacher activities, students’ activities, and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Adanya guru-guru yang mengalami kendala dalam pengelolaan pembelajaran daring karena kurang memahami model-model pembelajaran yang digunakan. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman guru-guru terhadap penerapan Model Scientific Critical Thinking (SCT) di era daring dalam upaya meningkatkan self-regulation, berpikir kritis, dan self-efficacy bagi peserta didik. Adapun jumlah peserta kegiatan pengabdian sebanyak 77 orang yang terdiri atas guru-guru tingkat SMA dan SMK se-Kalimantan Selatan dan mahasiswa FKIP ULM. Kegiatan pengabdian menggunakan aplikasi zoom cloud meeting pada bulan Oktober-Desember 2021. Tahap persiapan dimulai dengan melakukan diskusi dengan guru-guru terkait permasalahan yang dihadapi dalam proses pembelajaran daring, penyusunan panduan dan materi sosialisasi. Tahap pelaksanaan berupa penyampaian materi tentang Model SCT dan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Tahap evaluasi dengan membagikan kuesioner dalam upaya mengukur pemahaman dan antusias peserta terhadap Model SCT. Adapun hasil yang diperoleh adalah guru-guru lebih memahami Model SCT beserta kelebihan dan kekurangannya dalam proses pembelajaran serta antusias untuk menerapkannya di sekolah sebagai usaha untuk meningkatkan self-regulation, berpikir kritis, dan self-efficacy bagi peserta didik.Some teachers experience problems managing online learning because they do not understand the learning models. This service aims to increase teachers' understanding of applying the Scientific Critical Thinking (SCT) Model in the online era to increase students' self-regulation, critical thinking, and self-efficacy. The number of participants in the community service activity was 77 high school and vocational school teachers from South Kalimantan and ULM FKIP students. Community service activities use the zoom cloud meeting application in October - December 2021. The first step in the planning stage is to discuss with teachers the difficulties of online learning. Next comes the creation of guidelines and outreach materials. Delivering information on the SCT Model and students' critical thinking abilities is part of the implementation step. During the evaluation stage, questionnaires were distributed to participants to gauge their knowledge of and excitement for the SCT Model. The results are that teachers better understand the SCT Model and its advantages and disadvantages in learning. They are enthusiastic about implementing it in schools to increase student self-regulation, critical thinking, and self-efficacy.

Abstract

The learners’ conceptual understanding has become one of the leading research areas conducted by educational researchers. Both students and current educators should actively work to improve their understanding of alternative conceptions and deepen their conceptual knowledge. One of the essential concepts in chemistry learning is colligative properties. This research is a literature review that discusses vapor-pressure lowering and boiling-point elevation, parts of colligative properties concept. The method used a meta-analysis review that combined the results of multiple studies that required a systematic approach to research of the literature. A preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analysis or known as PRISMA process was used for study selection. The following literature review was summarized based on various studies from Indonesia, United States of America (USA), Turkey, and Greece. The aims of this review were to provide important details from several previous studies to help researchers obtain complete sources. The findings were also expected to provide the learner with the correct understanding of chemistry, especially in vapor-pressure lowering and boiling-point elevation concepts.

Abstract

Science process skills play a crucial role in constructing knowledge and fostering the ability to independently solve problems. Despite their significance, the science process skills of students across various educational levels remain at a relatively low level. This research seeks to evaluate the science process skills of students and their responses to learning about colloids through a blended learning-based guided inquiry approach. The research employs a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group setup. The sample, drawn through cluster random sampling, consists of students from Class XI MIPA 1 at SMAN 11 Banjarmasin, divided into two groups. Group A, the experimental class, engages in blended learning-based guided inquiry, while Group B, the control class, follows the guided inquiry model. Data collection involves tests to assess students' science process skills and non-tests to gauge their responses. The analysis entails descriptive techniques and t-tests. The findings indicate (1) discernible differences in science process skills between classes employing blended learning-based guided inquiry and guided inquiry alone, and (2) a positive response from students towards the blended learning-based inquiry model.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang implementasi model SCT melalui pembelajaran daring terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis dan self regulation peserta didik SMAN 4 Banjarmasin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) perbedaan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik, (2) perbedaan self-regulation peserta didik setelah mengikuti pembelajaran menggunakan model SCT dengan model pembelajaran konvensional dalam pembelajaran daring pada materi hidrolisis garam. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi experiment dengan desain penelitian non equivalent control group design. Sampel penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI MIPA 4 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI MIPA 3 sebagai kelas kontrol di SMAN 4 Banjarmasin. Variabel bebas adalah model pembelajaran, sedangkan variabel terikat adalah keterampilan berpikir kritis dan self-regulation. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik test dan non-test. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan inferensial menggunakan uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) terdapat perbedaan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik antara kelas eksperimen dan kontrol (2) terdapat perbedaan self-regulation peserta didik antara kelas ekperimen dan kelas kontrol. Kelas eksperimen dengan penerapan model pembelajaran SCT lebih baik dibanding kelas kontrol dengan penerapan model pembelajaran kovensional untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan self-regulation peserta didik pada materi hidrolisis garam.
