Abstract

Komunikasi dapat dikatakan sebagai bagian sentral dari keberhasilan penguasaan matematika. Dimilikinya kemampuan tersebut dapat membantu siswa untuk memperjelas dan mempertajam pemikiran ide-ide kreatif serta mendukung pemecahan masalah. Namun realitanya pengembangan kemampuan komunikasi matematis bukanlah hal yang mudah. Untuk itu, model pembelajaran Student Facilitator and Explaining (SFE) berbasis reflektif peta konsep dapat menjadi salah satu alternatif dalam mendukung peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk menginvestigasi peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang lebih baik antara yang menggunakan model pembelajaran SFE berbasis reflektif peta konsep dengan model konvensional, dan untuk mengetahui sikap siswa terhadap penerapan model SFE berbasis reflektif peta konsep dalam pembelajaran matematika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuasi eksperimen pada populasi penelitian yang terdiri dari 98 siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 8 Sumedang. Hasil analisis data indeks gain dalam penelitian ini melalui uji t dengan taraf signifikansi 5% menunjukkan thitung (7,1854) > ttabel (1,6779) dengan rata-rata indeks gain kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,67 yaitu lebih besar dari kelas kontrol sebesar 0,37. Dengan demikian, peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran SFE berbasis reflektif peta konsep lebih baik dibandingkan siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data angket, diperoleh rata-rata sebesar 4,07 sehingga dapat disimpulkan sikap siswa positif terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran SFE berbasis reflektif peta konsep dalam pembelajaran matematika.

Abstract

This study aims to describe mathematical literacy skills reviewed from cognitive styles of studdents. This study is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study consist of 4 students in grade VII A SMP Negeri 1 Ganeas in the odd semester for the 2023/2024. The instruments used in this study were a mathematical literacy ability test, the Group Embedded Figure Test (GEFT) test to find out the type of student cognitive style, and interview guidelines. The results of this study show that students with a field independent cognitive style have better mathematical literacy abilities than field dependent ones. Field independent students met almost all levels of mathematical literacy indicators, while field dependent students only met 3 levels of mathematical literacy abilities

Abstract

Abstract. Siamese pumpkin cultivation in Cipasang Village, Cibugel District, Sumedang Regency is seen as one of the leverage to reduce stunting and poverty. Siamese pumpkin contains various nutrients including vitamin B complex and folate, and is low in calories. In addition, these vegetables contain antioxidants, flavonoids, and other compounds that function to optimize children's cognitive development. One of the challenges in Siamese pumpkin cultivation in Cipasang Village is post-harvest sales where farmers often fall victim to middlemen because of low prices. Therefore, efforts are needed to develop the added value of chayote products through community service. The targets of community empowerment activities are farmers and MSMEs related to siamese pumpkin cultivation. Community service activities are carried out through the stages of preliminary study, implementation, and evaluation. The implementation stages start from making demplots on partner-owned land to prepare for seeding and planting chayote, planting as many as 50 plants as a pilot for residents, and introducing processed siamese pumpkin products. The yield of the plant showed good growth and began the production of fruits of fairly good size. Processed cultivation innovation in the form of flour and used as raw material for various finished preparations such as cakes and crackers. Abstrak. Budidaya labu siam di Desa Cipasang Kecamatan Cibugel Kabupaten Sumedang dipandang sebagai salah satu daya ungkit untuk menurunkan angka stunting dan angka kemiskinan. Labu siam mengandung berbagai nutrisi antara lain vitamin B kompleks dan folat, serta rendah kalori. Selain itu, sayuran ini mengandung antioksidan, flavonoid, dan senyawa lainnya yang berfungsi mengoptimalkan perkembangan kognitif anak. Salah satu tantangan dalam budidaya labu siam di Desa Cipasang adalah penjualan pasca panen dimana petani sering menjadi korban para tengkulak karena harga yang murah. Oleh karena itu diperlukan upaya mengembangkan nilai tambah produk labu siam melalui pengabdian masyarakat. Sasaran kegiatan pemberdayaan masyarakat adalah petani dan UMKM terkait budidaya labu siam. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan melalui tahapan studi pendahuluan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Tahapan pelaksanaan mulai dari pembuatan demplot di lahan milik mitra untuk persiapan penyemaian dan penanaman labu siam, penanaman sebanyak 50 tanaman sebagai percontohan bagi warga, dan pengenalan produk olahan labu siam. Hasil tanaman menunjukkan pertumbuhan yang baik dan mulai produksi buah dengan ukuran yang cukup baik. Inovasi budidaya olahan berupa tepung dan digunakan sebagai bahan baku aneka olahan jadi seperti kue dan kerupuk.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low mathematical problem solving ability of students. The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of better mathematical problem solving skills in students whose learning uses the Guided Discovery Learning (GDL) model with students whose learning uses conventional models, as well as to determine students' attitudes towards mathematics learning using Guided Discovery Learning (GDL). The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Based on the results of normalized gain data processing using t-tests and a significance level of 5%, results were obtained to increase the mathematical problem solving ability of students whose learning using the Guided Discovery Learning (GDL) model was better than conventional models. Based on the processing of student attitude questionnaire data obtained, it can be concluded that student attitudes are positive towards mathematics learning with the Guided Discovery Learning (GDL) model.

Abstract

The formation of a Pancasila student profile in students is a form of necessity for a teacher, this is because the Pancasila student profile is a reflection of the success of the education process in Indonesia. The project to strengthen the Pancasila student profile is one of the steps taken in realizing the Pancasila student profile. Entrepreneurship is one of the general themes that can be used as a theme that can be studied by students. The real action in the project with the theme of entrepreneurship is through market day activities. This research was conducted at the international green school Sumedang. The results showed that the market day activities that are usually carried out in schools provide an inculcation of an entrepreneurial attitude to students. This can be seen when students create concepts that will be sold, determine the materials to be processed, process raw materials into ready-to-sell materials, market them, and analyze the advantages and disadvantages they get. In addition, the profile of Pancasila students also develops at every stage carried out in the Market Day project.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low ability of understanding mathematical concepts. One of the ways to improve the ability of understanding mathematical concepts was using Mind Mapping learning model. The purpose of this research was to determine the improvement of the ability of understanding mathematical concepts on cubes and blocks material using the Mind Mapping learning model. Furthermore, the Mind Mapping learning model was used to assess the attitudes of students toward mathematics learning. The method used in this research was quasi-experimental method. This research was conducted in two classes of VIII at SMPN 4 Situraja which functioned as an experimental class and a control class. The instruments used were tests of understanding mathematical concepts and student attitude questionnaires which given at the beginning and end of the lesson. The results of the analysis showed that the improvement of the ability of understanding mathematical concepts of students who used the Mind Mapping learning model was better than students who used conventional models

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa SMP ditinjau dari resiliensi matematis pada materi perbandingan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan sampel penelitian terdiri dari 30 siswa kelas VIII A SMP Negeri 1 Surian. Sedangkan subjeknya diambil sebanyak 6 siswa yang masing-masing memiliki resiliensi matematis tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Untuk memperoleh informasi mendalam, tahapan penelitian yaitu 1) memberikan angket resiliensi matematis, 2) memberikan soal tes koneksi matematis, dan 3) wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan kategori resiliensi matematis tinggi dan sedang mampu menerapkan hubungan konsep matematis dengan kehidupan sehari-hari, sedangkan siswa dengan kategori resiliensi rendah tidak dapat menyelesaikan soal koneksi matematis dengan baik pada setiap indikatornya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) dalam konteks pengajaran matematika. Kemampuan berpikir kreatif adalah kompetensi penting di era globalisasi, khususnya bagi siswa SMK yang diarahkan untuk terjun langsung ke dunia kerja. Penelitian ini menerapkan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, dengan melibatkan siswa kelas XI sebanyak 27 orang di salah satu SMK di Kabupaten Indramayu sebagai subjek penelitian. Data dikumpulkan melalui pemberian tes berupa empat soal uraian yang mencakup 4 indikator utama kemampuan berpikir kreatif, yaitu: kelancaran (fluency), keluwesan (flexibility), keaslian (originality), dan elaborasi (elaboration). Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel masih tergolong rendah , dengan rata-rata 43,5% siswa telah mencapai skor maksimum. Persentase pada indikator keaslian (originality) yaitu 56%, indikator kelancaran (fluency) yaitu 52%, indikator keluwesan (flexibility) 48%, dan persentase terendah ditemukan pada indikator elaborasi (elaboration) sebanyak 18%. Hasil ini diharapkan dapat membantu pendidik dalam mendesain pembelajaran yang lebih efektif untuk meningkatkan kreativitas siswa.

Abstract

The ability to understand mathematical concepts is one of the most important abilities and must be owned by every student. However, the reality on the ground, according to the results of observations and interviews with an elementary school (SD) teacher in Sumedang Regency, is known that in learning mathematics, the ability to understand mathematics is still relatively low. One of the media that is expected to improve the ability of students to understand mathematical concepts is dienes block media. This study aims to determine whether there are differences in the ability to understand mathematical concepts between students who receive learning using Dienes block media and students who learn without using Dienes block media in addition material. The method used in this study was quasi-experimental with nonequivalent pre-test-post-test control group design. The instrument used is a test of ability to understand mathematical concepts (pre-test and post-test). The population in this study were all grade II students at SDN Cilengkrang 2022/2023 with a total of 54 people. The sample used was the total sample, namely class II A which consisted of 29 students as the control class and class II B which consisted of 25 students as the experimental class. In the learning process, the experimental class used Dienes block media and the control class did not use Dienes block media. Based on the results of data analysis, it was concluded that there were differences in the ability to understand mathematical concepts between students who received learning using Dienes block media and students who received learning without using Dienes block media in addition material. Students who receive learning with Dienes block media have the ability to understand mathematical concepts better than students who learn without Dienes block media.

Abstract

This study was driven by the low mathematical problem-solving abilities of students. To address this issue, Think Talk Write (TTW) learning model, supported by GeoGebra software, was implemented as an intervention. The research aimed to determine whether students taught using the TTW learning model assisted by GeoGebra demonstrate greater improvement in mathematical problem-solving skills compared to those taught through conventional methods. This quasi-experimental study employed a quantitative approach with a non-equivalent control group design. The sampel in this research was class VII-G, with 28 students and Class VII-H, with 26 students. Data were collected using a mathematical problem-solving ability test and analyzed quantitatively. The gain index results indicated that the experimental class experienced a higher improvement in problem-solving skills than the control class. Furthermore, the t' test at a 5% significance level confirmed significant differences in mathematical problem-solving abilities between the two groups. Thus, it can be concluded that the TTW learning model assisted by GeoGebra software significantly enhanced students' mathematical problem-solving abilities compared to conventional learning methods.
