Abstract

This study aims to examine the variables that impact the purchasing of disposable diapers by using an enlarged Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) framework. Two hundred thirty-two people in Surabaya who were familiar with the use of disposable diapers for either infants or the elderly were surveyed online. A quantitative explanatory approach was used to examine this data. Knowledge, Morality, Tradition, and Perceived Risk are new components of the extended TPB model that take into consideration the specific social and cultural context of Indonesia. For this data analysis, we turned to LISREL, which stands for Structural Equation Modeling. The results show that environmental consciousness, understanding, and ethics significantly affect intent, behavior, and result. Some elements that affect the intention to buy include subjective norms and perceived behavioral control; on the other hand, perceived risk and tradition have an adverse effect on these factors. Consistent with the TPB paradigm when applied to one-time use products, these findings highlight the role of moral and cultural factors in determining responsible consumption behavior. Adding more variables to the TPB model has expanded research on industrial and consumer decision-making behavior.

Abstract

PT.

Abstract

Abstract

The research gap that this study aims to fill is: increasing the reliability of the previously created simulation model and adopting a representation of uncertainty in the Basic Robochop production process time. This study analyzes the production process time of one basic Robochop unit using ARENA software-based simulation. The Basic Robochop (seven units) is modeled using an activity cycle diagram representing the arrival of its components based on historical data. The model then integrates the components into the production process until completion. The time between the arrival of 50 components of one Basic Robochop product is modeled with a random EXPO(1) minute, the 50 components are then assembled in the Basic Robochop production process which is modeled based on historical data of the previous manufacture of 7 Robochops with one worker, namely 129 + EXPO(1,380) minutes. The model produces a square error value of around 3%. The optimal number of replications obtained was 1,833, after five initial replications were carried out randomly. The simulation results show a decrease in process time from 24,670 minutes to 1,096 minutes in the alternative scenario.

Abstract

The growing demand for holistic healthcare services requires comprehensive evaluation of service quality beyond therapeutic outcomes. This study examines patient experience in acupuncture and herbal services at Griya Sehat UKDC by integrating servicescape and HEALTHQUAL dimensions and classifying service attributes using the Kano model to determine improvement priorities. A case study design with a survey approach was conducted involving 32 patients. Data were collected through paired functional and dysfunctional Kano questionnaires, followed by validity and reliability testing. The results show that 76.3% of service attributes fall into the one-dimensional category, indicating that patient satisfaction is primarily driven by service performance. Therapist competence, safety assurance, empathy, cleanliness, and treatment efficiency emerge as critical determinants. These findings suggest that improving core service execution has a direct linear impact on patient satisfaction in holistic healthcare settings.

Abstract

The cracker industry is an important part of Surabaya’s traditional culinary heritage and is largely operated by micro-scale enterprises with simple management systems. One such enterprise is the cracker business owned by Mrs. Ponining in East Surabaya. This business faces several challenges, including non-standardized production processes, inconsistent quality control, unsystematic financial record-keeping, and product packaging without a clear brand identity. This community service program aims to enhance the capacity of Mrs. Ponining’s cracker business through assistance in production, business management, and marketing. The interventions include the implementation of simple production standard operating procedures (SOPs), the application of 5S principles to improve workplace organization and hygiene, mentoring in simple yet systematic financial record-keeping, and the development of product packaging and labeling as business identity. Several constraints were encountered during implementation, such as limited time availability and the persistence of traditional business practices. However, these challenges were addressed through gradual mentoring and hands-on assistance tailored to the conditions of micro-scale enterprises. The results indicate improvements in product quality consistency, production efficiency, financial management orderliness, and product packaging. This program is expected to support the sustainability of the cracker business and serve as a model for empowering traditional micro-scale food enterprises in urban areas.
