Abstract

Increasing teacher competency is a process that cannot be done instantly. Teachers must always be provided with new knowledge that can be applied to their own needs and institutions. Computer-based learning will greatly help educators in the current era of Information and Communication Technology, especially vocational teachers who teach in productive fields (engineering subjects). The problem faced is the inability of teachers to use computers as learning media. Teachers only use computers to present powerpoint media, even in practical subjects. The teacher has not been able to utilize software engineering that will assist in the practical learning process, such as AutoCAD software in learning Drawing Engineering and PLC software in learning control systems. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct integrated and comprehensive training for teachers in utilizing computers as learning media especially in the use of software engineering. All Muhammadiyah 1 Padang Vocational Middle School teachers and SMK Dhuafa Nusantara Padang were invited to take part in engineering training. In the implementation of the activity there were 15 teacher participants. The training material consisted of the introduction and use of AutoCAD software, and PLC software. The results of this training show that more than 90% of participants have been able to use AutoCAD and PLC software. Besides that, there was an increase in motivation and enthusiasm from the teacher to show performance, both in the use of software for classroom learning and in daily life as a professional who always tried to improve his competence.

Abstract

Guru diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kompetensi salah satunya dalam penguasaan Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK). Hal ini diperlukan untuk mendukung kegiatan pembelajaran yang menarik, efektif dan efisien. Oleh karenanya, perlu diadakan suatu kegiatan atau pelatihan untuk menambah pengetahuan/wawasan dan keterampilan guru tentang TIK. Pelatihan yang diberikan diharapkan dapat diaplikasikan guru dalam penggunaan media teknologi informasi untuk meningkatkan efektifitas dan efisiensi dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar. Berdasarkan kondisi yang terjadi sekarang terdapat beberapa masalah yang akan diatasi pada kegiatan ini, antara lain pemanfaatan penggunaan smartphone oleh guru dan peserta didik masih sebatas pada alat komunikasi dan hiburan, padahal dapat dioptimalkan penggunaannya sebagai media pembelajaran berbasis android. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kompetensi pedagodik guru dan kemampuan guru dalam membuat media pembelajaran yang interaktif. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini adalah ceramah, demonstrasi dan praktik. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket mengenai persepsi peserta terhadap pelaksanaan pelatihan. Indikator keberhasilan pelatihan ini meliputi tingkat pembelajaran, tingkat perilaku, tingkat reaksi dan tingkat hasil. Hasil yang diperoleh dari pengolahan data keseluruhan indikator adalah peserta setuju bahwa pelaksanaan pelatihan  telah berjalan dengan baik, dimana sebagian besar peserta berpandangan bahwa pelaksanaan pelatihan telah memberikan manfaat yang mendalam dan sangat membantu dalam peningkatan kualitas diri peserta.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the teacher who only explains the material to be practiced verbally, and the series of pictures that will be practiced are illustrated by the teacher on the board, and the teacher directly instructs students to do the practice. This makes it difficult for students to understand and analyze the working principles of the control system, and so far students are only able to assemble and operate the circuit but students have not been able to explain how the circuit can operate. Therefore we need learning media that can support this, one of them is by applying Festo Fluidsim simulation learning media. This type of research is a descriptive study with quasi-experimental methods with the design of One Group Post-test Only. From the results of the study obtained an average post-test score of 76.63. With the t test analysis obtained t count = 2.754 which is greater than the table = 2.492 at the 0.01 significance level. Thus it can be concluded that there is an increase in student learning outcomes after the application of simulation software in the learning process of MSPEM class XI TITL SMKN1 Tilatang kamang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana perencanaan   perangkat   pembelajaran, kesesuaian perangkat pembelajaran dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran  pada mata pelajaran Dasar Program Keahlian kelas X Kompetensi Keahlian Teknik Instalasi Tenaga Listrik di SMKN 1 Tilatang Kamang. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian evaluasi dengan model yang digunakan adalah model kesenjangan. Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen angket. Hasil penelitian pada aspek perencanaan perangkat pembelajaran termasuk kategori sangat baik dengan nilai rata-rata 84,67 dari nilai ideal tertinggi 96. Pada aspek kesesuaian perangkat pembelajaran termasuk kategori sangat baik dengan nilai rata-rata 121 dari nilai ideal tertinggi 132. Serta pada pelaksanaan pembelajaran termasuk kategori sangat baik dengan nilai rata-rata 85,33 dari nilai ideal tertinggi 96.

Abstract

Increasing teacher competence in managing digital electronics learning in Vocational High Schools must always be managed and improved. This activity can be carried out by training in developing digital engineering learning media, especially regarding logic gates. The trainees work together in teams to complete the given topic, which begins with the design and simulation and then practices in completing assigned instructional media. At the end of the scenario an evaluation of the work carried out and an evaluation of the course of the training activities. From the evaluation results it was found that there was an increase in the competence of vocational teachers in Pesisir Selatan District in mastering learning media, and from the results of the questionnaire analysis, it was concluded that the participants gave a positive response to the implementation of the training.

Abstract

SMK N 1 Painan and SMK N 1 Koto XI Tarusan develops a new study program namely Audio Video Engineering, one of the objectives is to prepare students to have the skills to enter employment. Based on the results of surveys and interviews conducted with the school, the problems that are being faced are where the Audio Video Technique is more directed to the electronic field but in all teaching and learning activities, especially practical activities using electrical-related equipment, such as power supplies. The power supply is a basic knowledge of electricity that is not specifically studied in the field of Audio Video Engineering. Likewise, during the Industrial Work Practice, the same problems were encountered in the field. Overcoming these problems is held a skills training carried out in the form of theory and practice to increase knowledge about how to design power supplies, calculate the needs of components and assemble power supplies. A power supply that will be made with variable output or variable. The training was targeted to produce a product in the form of a Power Supply prototype. This product is expected to be used by the next student as a place to increase knowledge about the power supply. Good for the learning process in the classroom, especially practical learning or as preparation for students who will do industrial practice or internship so that existing problems can be addressed properly.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan modul pembelajaran Dasar Listrik dan Elektronika (DLE) yang valid dan praktis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan Model 4D. Subjek penelitian ini siswa kelas X TITL SMK Negeri 1 Padang yang terdaftar pada semester 2 tahun ajaran 2019/2020. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh validitas modul pembelajaran adalah 90,66% dengan kategori valid. Uji Praktikalitas dengan reponden guru adalah 87,61% dan siswa nilai rata-rata 90,16% menyatakan modul pembelajaran DLE adalah sangat praktis. Disimpulkan bahwa modul pembelajaran DLE adalah valid dan praktis dalam proses belajar mengajar untuk Dasar Listrik dan Elektronika.

Abstract

Teacher competence must be increase by carried out continuously, because the success of learning is the responsibility of educators. Technology-based learning will help educators in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era, especially vocational teachers who teach in the productive field (engineering subjects). The problem faced is the inability of teachers to use computers as learning media. The teacher has not been able to utilize software engineering that will help in the process of practical learning, such as NI Multisim and Proteus software in learning electrical circuits and electronic circuits. Therefore, integrated and comprehensive training is needed for teachers to utilize software engineering. The training was attended by 15 teachers who taught on productive subjects (Engineering). From the results of this training it appears that all participants can already use NI Multisim and Proteus software. Based on the questionnaire indicators that have been analyzed it can also be seen that most of the participants are of the view that the implementation of the training has provided profound benefits and is very helpful in improving the participants' quality

Abstract

One of the advantages of Vocational High School (SMK) is that graduates are ready to work. For this reason, students must be equipped with skill abilities in accordance with existing technological developments. In the last few years, the development of digital technology has been very advanced which has caused Vocational High School to be required to prepare their students to adapt to existing developments. SMKN 1 Painan is one of the productive Vocational Schools that develops new study programs namely Audio Video Engineering (TAV), one of the objectives is to prepare students to have the skills to enter employment. The obstacle faced by SMKN 1 Painan is to follow the development of digital technology, especially in terms of facilities, this is because the TAV study program is still new. Through the creation of logic gate learning media, it is expected to help the obstacles faced by SMKN 1 so that the existing problems can be addressed properly

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan modul pembelajaran Pekerjaan Dasar Elektromekanik (PDE) yang valid dan praktis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan Model 4D. Subjek penelitian ini siswa kelas X TITL3 SMK Negeri 5 Padang yang terdaftar pada semester 2 tahun ajaran 2019/2020. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh validitas modul adalah 90% dengan katagori valid. Uji praktikalitas dengan responden guru nilai rata-rata 86,33% dan siswa nilai rata-rata 86% menyatakan modul pembelajaran PDE adalah sangat praktis. Disimpulkan bahwa modul pembelajaran PDE adalah valid dan praktis digunakan dalam proses belajar mengajar untuk Pekerjaan Dasar Elektromekanik.
