Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of generative learning model on theability of student analysis on matter of human nervous system at XI IPA class at Musi Rawas. This research uses quasi experiment method of non-equivalent control groupdesign. The research population is the students of XI IPA class with sampling technique using non probability of purposive sampling. Based on the analysis result, it shows that the mastery in the experimental class is 67,7% higher than the control class that is 55,3%. The improvement of analytical ability can be seen from the value of N-gain with the experimental class has a value of N-gain of 0,53 and the control class is 0,19 with low category. The results of hypothesis testing using t-test obtained by value tarithmetic =3,969 and ttable =1,670 confidence level of 95%, ( = 0,05). The data shows that t arithmetic >t table , then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that the generative learning model has an effect on the students' analysis ability at XI IPA class. Keywords: analytical skills, nervous system, generative learning

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of application guided inqury model in improving the students' scientific attitude in X class on the fungi concept. This research design used Non-equivalent Control Group Design with Quasi Experimental method. Implementation of research involving 72 students in one of high school at Palembang. The research instrument used is in the form of observation sheet test and questionnaire. The data were analyzed using Microsoft Excel and SPSS 15 program. The statistical results showed that the implementation of learning using guided inquiry learning model is better than Direct Intruction (DI) learning model. Inquiry learning model is guided in improving students' scientific attitude on Fungi material in X Class. Keywords: learning model, guided inquiry, scientific attitude, fungi concept

Abstract

One of the methods that can be applied to achieve learning goal is the problem solving learning method. Problem solving method is a way or means of presenting lessons by encouraging learners to seek and solve a problem in order to achieve teaching objectives by relating experience and logic. Problem solving methods used to provide learning stimuli to learners to make them think real and analyze, solve problems and then take the conclusions of the problem. This research design using Non-equivalent Control Group Design with Quasi Experimental method (quasi experiment). The sample of this research is 80 students. Based on the results of student ability analysis shows that the implementation of learning using problem solving method is better than conventional learning. The result of the analysis of the average increase of mastery of students’ experimental analysis of the experimental class reached 33,3% while the students' analysis ability in the control class was 19,2%. Keywords: analysis ability, learning method, problem solving
