Abstract

Students' lack of interest in learning mathematics has an impact on their memory of the material being taught. This is a challenge for educators to find the right learning method. So, it is necessary to develop learning methods with the help of games for arithmetic sequences and series. The aim of the research is to determine the feasibility, retention power and interest in learning after learning mathematics assisted by Math Maze on arithmetic sequences and series. The research method used is Design Research (DR) with an ADDIE design. Data was obtained through media expert validators and material experts as well as students. Data collection techniques include validation sheets, post-test and re-test, distributing questionnaires, and interviews. From the validation results, Math Maze is categorized as valid, retention power is categorized as high, and interest in learning is categorized as very high.

Abstract

Kewirausahaan merupakan salah satu kegiatan yang dapat meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat kecil di wilayah Indonesia. Kegiatan kewirausahaan dapat berwujud produk atau layanan jasa melalui suatu usaha yang kreatif. Berwirausaha merupakan solusi yang tepat untuk memberikan keterampilan kepada masyarakat desa. Program keterampilan kewirausahaan yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa Universitas Islam Nusantara di Kampung Jamuju, Desa Sindulang, Kabupaten Sumedang, bertujuan melakukan kegiatan pendampingan UMKM Camilan khas Jawa Barat yang difokuskan pada pengemasan produk dan pembekalan keterampilan digital marketing. Produk camilan UMKM diantaranya basreng (bakso goreng), makaroni, keripik kaca, opak singkong, dan kerupuk seblak. Metode pelaksanaan pendampingan dilakukan melalui survei lokasi dan pelatihan. Kegiatan pendampingan diawali dengan peninjauan lokasi guna mengetahui permasalahan yang dialami oleh pelaku UMKM. Permasalahan yang dialami oleh pelaku UMKM yaitu kurangnya pengetahuan dan pemahaman mengenai pemasaran produk. Pelaku UMKM melakukan pemasaran produk dengan cara menitipkan ke warung. oleh karena itu dilakukan inovasi teknik pemasaran UMKM. Kegiatan dilanjutkan dengan merencanakan inovasi kegiatan pendampingan dan pelatihan digital marketing bersama pelaku UMKM. Kegiatan pendampingan produk meliputi pembaruan logo kemasan yang lebih menarik serta melakukan pelatihan keterampilan digital marketing berupa pemilihan sarana media pemasaran secara online (melalui Shopee), membuat akun, dan mempromosikan produk pada akun Shopee. Kegiatan pendampingan UMKM berlangsung selama 15 hari. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan penjualan serta marketing dan produktivitas UMKM Camilan.

Abstract

Social Science Learning is a simplified social science for educational purposes covering aspects of historical science, economic science, political science, sociology, anthropology, psychology, geography and philosophy. And the definition of information and communication technology is a technology used to process data, including processing, obtaining, compiling, storing, manipulating data in various ways to produce quality information, namely relevant, accurate and timely information, which is used for personal, business , and government purposes is also strategic information for decision making Improving the quality management of Social Science learning based on media Information and communication technology aims to improve the quality of Social Science learning education in high school education, especially in the south of Jakarta. Information and communication technology also has several objectives and benefits, this research method, namely qualitative, is descriptive analysis. The descriptive method of analysis is a method or way of working in a problem solving by describing, describing, explaining and analyzing the research carried out. Of course, in this case, it is how the school provides educators with an understanding of social science learning based on information and communication technology to improve the quality of education.

Abstract

Latar belakang dari penelitian ini adalah rendahnya aktivitas pembelajaran matematika dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa di jenjang sekolah menengah pertama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana aktivitas pembelajaran matematika dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis yang terdiri atas empat komponen, yaitu fluency, flexibility, originality, serta elaboration melalui teknik pembelajaran berorientasi proses dengan panduan penyelidikan (process-oriented guided-inquiry learning/POGIL). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang mengacu kepada langkah-langkah model Hopkins. Penelitian ini terdiri dari empat siklus yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi, dengan semua siswa kelas VII-F SMP Al-Qonaah sebagai subjek penelitian. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi dan tes formatif. Berdasarkan analisis data tentang lembar observasi dan hasil tes formatif, menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas pembelajaran matematika dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa meningkat setelah menggunakan teknik process-oriented guided-inquiry learning (POGIL). Peningkatan terjadi disemua jenis aktivitas yang diamati baik pada kegiatan-kegiatan visual, lisan, mendengarkan, menulis, menggambar, metrik, mental, dan emosional.

Abstract

This becomes a challenge for educators to find the right learning method. When studying arithmetic sequences and series, a strong memory really helps students' understanding. In this research, the mathematical maze is used as a learning method to strengthen student retention. The aim of the research is to describe the retention of student learning outcomes after mathematics learning assisted by Math Maze on arithmetic sequences and series. This research uses a qualitative approach. The data collection process was carried out by post-test and re-test. Based on the results of data analysis, it was concluded that the retention of student learning outcomes in learning arithmetic sequences and series through the mathematical maze was relatively high. This means that the math maze can be an alternative to learning mathematics.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the pattern of human life, including the education sector. The rapid development of digital technology is very helpful in overcoming learning problems during a pandemic as well as accelerating digital transformation in the education sector, both online learning methods and the use of digital simulations as learning technology. This study aims to measure the level of digital literacy skills of students based on the characteristics of students entering the new normal era. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach. The population is all students studying in Depok City with a sample of 410 students obtained by random sampling. The results of the study showed that the level of student digital literacy skills of 75.3% could be included in the Good category. There is no significant difference in the level of digital literacy ability based on gender and student residence, but there is a different trend based on age and year of study, where the higher the age or year of study the higher the level of digital literacy ability, and based on the source of tuition fees for scholarship recipients. Full level indicates a higher level of digital literacy ability. In conclusion, the level of digital literacy of students could be included in the Good category. There is no difference in the level of digital literacy ability based on the gender and place of residence of students, but there are different trends based on age, year of study, and source of student tuition fees.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the unavailability of determinant matrix teaching materials that meet students' needs and curriculum standards and students' low critical thinking skills, so a determinant matrix teaching module is needed that complies with curriculum standards and facilitates critical thinking skills. Teaching modules are developed using the Project-Based Learning model. This mixed-methods research aims to determine teaching modules' validity, practicality, and effectiveness. This article is a design research report using the Plomp model. The data sources in this research are material expert validators, media experts, educational practitioners, and respondents. The instruments used are validity sheets for material experts, media experts, description tests, observation of the learning process, and critical thinking ability tests. The results of data analysis in this research concluded that the teaching module that had been developed was very valid, practical, and effective. The developed instructional materials are believed to support learning that emphasizes critical thinking. In conclusion, the teaching materials incorporate exercises that enhance critical thinking skills using case presentations. Furthermore, it is suggested that the module be used as an alternative teaching tool and that further research be done with different data, materials, or other mathematical abilities.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas konsep etnomatematika melalui alat musik tradisional Celentung dan batik bermotif cupat manggu sebagai bagian dari budaya Sunda di Kabupaten Garut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil eksplorasi etnomatematika dengan mengidentifikasi unsur-unsur matematika yang terdapat dalam alat musik tradisional, serta pola geometris dan simetri dalam motif batik Garut. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian deskriptif kualitatif untuk memberikan penjelasan mendalam dan komprehensif tentang fenomena yang diteliti. Selain itu, pendekatan etnografi diterapkan untuk memandu metodologi penelitian. Sumber data berasal dari tokoh masyarakat di Leles, Kabupaten Garut. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, dengan instrumen utama penelitian adalah peneliti sendiri. Analisis data yang digunakan mengacu pada model Miles dan Huberman, meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa budaya Sunda kaya akan konsep matematika, seperti pola, pengukuran, dan proporsi, yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai media pembelajaran matematika yang kontekstual dan menarik. This article explores the concept of ethnomathematics through the traditional Celentung musical instrument and the Cupat Manggu batik motif, both of which are part of Sundanese culture in Garut Regency. This study aims to describe the results of ethnomathematics exploration by identifying mathematical elements found in traditional musical instruments, as well as geometric patterns and symmetry in Garut batik motifs. This study employs a qualitative descriptive research design to provide an in-depth and comprehensive understanding of the phenomena under investigation. Furthermore, an ethnographic approach was applied to guide the research methodology. Data sources came from community leaders in Leles, Garut Regency. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation, with the researcher herself as the primary research instrument. The data analysis method used refers to the Miles and Huberman model, which encompasses data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing/verification. The results reveal that Sundanese culture is rich in mathematical concepts, such as patterns, measurement, and proportion, which can be utilized as contextual and engaging mathematics learning media.

Abstract

Berpikir kreatif merupakan salah satu keterampilan yang dilatihkan dalam pembelajaran matematika. Berdasarkan wawancara dengan pendidik di salah satu sekolah di Kabupaten Bandung, siswa masih sering menganggap matematika itu sulit dan membosankan. Siswa masih kesulitan memahami materi dasar salah satunya segi empat. Terdapat permasalahan dalam proses pembelajaran yaitu: Siswa mengalami keterbatasan dalam menjawab soal materi segi empat, dan partisipasi belajar siswa masih sangat rendah yang mengakibatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa kurang terlatih. Penelitian ini mengimplementasikan Permainan Pos Math yang mempunyai fasilitas untuk melatih keterampilan berpikir kreatif sebagai solusi dari permasalahan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada pembelajaran segiempat dengan menggunakan permainan pos math. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan partisipan siswa kelas VII SMP sebanyak 41 orang. Instrumen tes digunakan untuk pengumpulan data. Lembar jawaban siswa dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik constant-comparison. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diperoleh nilai rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa sebesar 83,17 sehingga termasuk dalam kategori sangat kreatif. Simpulan utama penelitian ini adalah bahwa post-math game sangat baik digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika, khususnya untuk materi segi empat. Salah satu implikasi hasil penelitian ini adalah peneliti dapat menawarkan penerapan post-math game untuk pembelajaran segi empat pada kelas yang relevan. Creative thinking is one of the skills trained in mathematics learning. Based on interviews with educators at one of the schools in Bandung Regency, students still often think mathematics is difficult and boring. Students still have difficulty understanding basic material, one of which is quadrilaterals. There are problems in the learning process, namely: Students experience limitations in answering rectangular material questions, and student learning participation is still very low, which results in students' creative thinking abilities being poorly trained. This research implements the Pos Math Game which has facilities for practicing creative thinking skills as a solution to this problem. This research aims to describe students' creative thinking abilities in quadrilateral learning using pos math games. This research used a qualitative approach with 41 class VII junior high school students as participants. Test instruments were used for data collection. Students' answer sheets were analyzed using the constant-comparison technique. Based on the results of the analysis, the average score for students' creative thinking abilities was 83.17, so it was included in the very creative category. The main conclusion of this study is that post-math games are very good to use in learning mathematics, especially for quadrilateral material. One implication of the results of this study is that researchers can offer the application of post-math games for quadrilateral learning in other classes.
