Abstract

INSTRUMENTS DEVELOPMENT OF ADOLESCENT ADJUSTMENT. The research aims to produce a product in the form of a questionnaire instrument or self-adjustment questionnaire. The product is designed as a tool to identify self-adjustment. The method used is Research and Development. The purpose of research and development is to produce a particular product and test the effectiveness of a product. The stages of developing adolescent self-adjustment instruments are (1) potential problems, data collection, (3) product design, (4) design validation, and (5) usage trials. The results of the trial using the adolescent self-adjustment instrument with 62 statement items resulted in 40 items being declared valid and 22 items being declared invalid.

Abstract

Learning motivation plays a crucial role in determining students’ engagement and academic persistence, particularly at the junior secondary level where adolescents experience significant cognitive, emotional, and social transitions. This study aims to describe and analyze the learning motivation of eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Ciruas in the 2025/2026 academic year, along with the factors influencing it. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed to capture students’ subjective experiences and contextual learning dynamics. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation involving three eighth-grade students, a guidance and counseling teacher, and the vice principal for curriculum affairs. Data analysis followed Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, supported by source triangulation to ensure credibility. The findings indicate that students’ learning motivation ranges from moderate to high and is shaped by both internal and external factors. Internally, motivation is driven by students’ desire to succeed, self-confidence, learning awareness, and future aspirations. Externally, supportive teacher–student relationships, positive peer interactions, recognition through verbal appreciation, engaging learning activities, and a safe, well-facilitated school environment contribute significantly to sustaining motivation. The role of guidance and counseling services is pivotal in strengthening intrinsic motivation and helping students connect present learning with future goals. Overall, students’ learning motivation emerges as a dynamic interaction between individual agency and the school environment, highlighting the importance of a holistic and human-centered educational approach.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil motivasi belajar pada siswa pengurus osis SMK Negeri di Kota Serang yang didasarkan pada teori motivasi yang dikembangkan oleh Ryan dan Deci yaitu Self-Determination Theory (SDT). Motivasi belajar sangat memiliki peranan penting bagi aktivitas belajar siswa karna merupakan faktor yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan siswa dan dapat memunculkan perilaku positif dalam kegiatan belajar. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan berdasarkan fenomena yang terjadi dilapangan, yaitu masih terdapat siswa pengurus osis yang memiliki tingkat motivasi belajar yang kurang, bahkan sulit fokus untuk menentukan kegiatan belajar atau kegiatan di keorganisasiannya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif studi deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk menyajikan gambaran mengenai tingkat motivasi belajar pada siswa pengurus osis. Pengumpulan data dengan cara membagian instrument atau kuesioner motivasi belajar. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu siswa pengurus osis SMK Negeri di Kota Serang masa jabatan 2023/2024 yang berjumlah 321 orang. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan gambaran umum motivasi belajar yaitu sebanyak 285 siswa pengurus osis dengan presentase 88,8% berada pada kategori tinggi, dan 36 siswa pengurus osis dengan presentase 11,2% berada pada kategori sedang. Artinya siswa belajar secara sadar dan mengalami keinginan untuk belajar karna adanya kepentingan personal. Hasil dalam penelitian ini berupa rancangan pemberian layanan informasi menggunakan media bimbingan dan konseling yang tujuannya untuk membantu motivasi belajar pada siswa pengurus osis yang dapat di pajang dalam mading osis atau di share melalui media sosial
