Abstract

Patients hemodialysis with experience complaints of anemia, fatigue, sleep disturbances, and increased urea levels. Fatigue and sleep disorders are still a high problem in Indonesia. Increased urea levels can cause decreased appetite, poor nutritional intake and complaints of fatigue. The aim of the research was to analyze the effect of deep breathing exercise therapy combined with Orem self-care based aromatherapy on fatigue levels and sleep quality. The design in this research is quasi-experimental. Population of all hemodialysis patients at RSI Jemursari Surabaya. The sample size was 40 people, divided into 2 groups, namely the intervention group and the control group. The sampling technique was taken using a total sampling technique. Data were analyzed using the independent t-test a < 0.05 and looking at the difference in values using the delta test. The results of research conducted at RSI Jemursari Surabaya, showed that the average fatigue score in the intervention group before giving deep breathing exercise therapy, a combination of aromatherapy based on self-care Orem, was 36.90 and after being given the intervention, it was found to decrease by 15.90, while the control group did not. given any therapy, according to hospital standards of 34.65 and experienced a decrease of 19.65. Based on the independent t - test, it shows p = 0.003 and sleep quality shows p = 0.001, which means that deep breathing exercise therapy combined with aromatherapy based on Orem self-care has an effect on fatigue and sleep quality. Deep breathing exercise therapy a combination of aromatherapy based on Self-Care Orem according to standards, can reduce fatigue levels and improve sleep quality.

Abstract

Transurethral Resection of the Prostate (TURP) is a surgical procedure to treat benign prostate hyperplasia. The planned surgical procedure will make the patient feel anxious. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Islamic-based preoperative teaching on the anxiety level of TUR-P preoperative patients in the Azzara 2 hospital room. Islam Jemursari Surabaya. Quasi-experimental research design with a pre and post-test control group design approach. The sample size used 24 residential respondents, which were then divided into 12 respondents in the intervention group and 12 respondents in the control group. The procedure is performed when the patient is hospitalized until near the operation. Data collection was carried out by measuring the level of anxiety before and after the Islamic-based preoperative teaching. Data were then analyzed using the Willcoxon and Mann Whitney tests. The results showed that Islamic-based preoperative teaching affected reducing anxiety levels in pre-operative patients. TUR-P analysis of the Mann-Whitney test showed a p-value of 0.002. The conclusions of the study show that Islamic-based preoperative teaching can reduce patient anxiety levels, nurses should be able to apply Islamic-based preoperative teaching to overcome anxiety experienced by patients before surgery.Keywords: TUR-P, Islami Preoperative Teaching, Anxiety

Abstract

ABSTRAK Remaja akan menghadapi berbagai masalah yang kompleks terkait dengan perubahan fisik, kecukupan gizi, perkembangan psikososial, emosi dan kecerdasan yang akhirnya menimbulkan konflik dalam dirinya dan akan mempengaruhi kesehatannya. Kegiatan pengabdian pada Masyarakat ini berupa program “Healthy Youth Corner” yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan pada remaja, orang tua, serta kader terhadap kesehatan diri. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah dengan memberikan pelatihan, penyuluhan, dan sosialisasi. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan selama satu bulan dan diikuti oleh 42 remaja, orang tua, dan kader. Sebelum dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian, Sebagian besar (64%) responden memiliki pengetahuan danketerampilan kurang dan setelah mengikuti kegiatan pengabdian ini sebagian besar (69%) memiliki pengetahuan danketerampilan baik. Program Healthy Youth Corner dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan remaja terhadap diri. Rencana tindak lanjut yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan pendampingan serta peningkatan keterampilan berkelanjutan bagi kesehatan remaja. Kata Kunci: Kesehatan, Pemberdayaan Remaja, Program Healthy Youth Corner  ABSTRACT Adolescents will face various complex problems related to physical changes, nutritional adequacy, psychosocial development, emotions, and intelligence which ultimately give rise to conflicts within themselves and will affect their health. This community service activity is the "Healthy Youth Corner" program which aims to increase the knowledge and skills of teenagers, parents, and cadres regarding personal health. The method used in this community service activity is to provide training, counseling, and outreach. This activity was carried out for one month and was attended by 42 teenagers, parents, and cadres. Before carrying out service activities, the majority (64%) of respondents had poor knowledge and skills and after participating in this service activity the majority (69%)had good knowledge and skills. The Healthy Youth Corner program can increase teenagers' knowledge and skills regarding themselves. The follow-up plan that can be carried out is with assistance and continuous improvement ofskills for adolescent health. Keywords: Health, Youth Empowerment, Healthy Youth Corner Program

Abstract

Nyeri pada anak merupakan pengalaman sensorik dan emosional yang tidak menyenangkan, sering muncul akibat prosedur medis seperti suntikan, infus, atau pengambilan darah. Minimnya pemahaman orang tua, ketiadaan SOP, serta kurangnya media edukasi memperburuk kondisi ini.Tujuan pengabdian Masyarakat adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterlibatan orang tua dalam manajemen nyeri anak melalui penyuluhan kesehatan, sehingga dapat mengurangi trauma rawat inap dan mempercepat pemulihan.Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat berupa penyuluhan kesehatan diberikan kepada orang tua atau wali pasien di ruang anak. Materi meliputi konsep nyeri anak, tanda-tanda nyeri, serta teknik penanganan nyeri nonfarmakologis seperti distraksi dan relaksasi. Penyuluhan diharapkan meningkatkan pemahaman orang tua mengenai pengelolaan nyeri secara komprehensif, menumbuhkan keterlibatan aktif dalam mendampingi anak, serta mendorong penerapan manajemen nyeri nonfarmakologis di lingkungan rumah sakit

Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah: (1) meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam manajemen pembelajaran digital, (2) membentuk kebiasaan hidup bersih siswa, dan (3) memperkuat pengelolaan pembelajaran numerasi dasar. Mitra sasaran meliputi 10 guru MI Darul Ulum dan ±60 siswa SD (kelas 4–5) di Nafisa Foundation. Metode pelaksanaan berupa workshop, pendampingan, penyuluhan. Program pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Mojosarirejo, Driyorejo–Gresik (1 Juli–4 Agustus 2025). Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pre–post test, angket, observasi, dan wawancara singkat.  Hasil pengabdian masyarakat menunjukan 1) pelatihan LMS berbasis Moodle meningkan keterampilan digital, sebelum kegiatan 100% guru belum pernah login dan 90,9% belum memahami pembuatan akun; setelah workshop 87,5% guru berhasil login mandiri. 2) Penyuluhan  personal hygiene anak usia sekolah dasar di nafisa foundation pada 28 siswa meningkatkan skor rata-rata pengetahuan dari 7,45 (pretest) menjadi 10,00 (posttest), perbedaan signifikan (p < 0,001), 3) Pada ranah numerasi, kemampuan perencanaan pembelajaran guru meningkat: penyusunan TP dari 3/15 menjadi 15/15, CP dari 4/15 menjadi 15/15, dan penggunaan konteks lokal dari 2/15 menjadi 15/15; sekitar 80% siswa melaporkan keterlibatan dan minat belajar yang lebih tinggi. Secara kualitatif, guru menjadi lebih percaya diri mengelola pembelajaran digital dan merancang numerasi berbasis aktivitas; siswa menunjukkan antusiasme dan praktik kebersihan yang lebih baik. Kegiatan ini efektif memperkuat kesiapan sekolah menuju ekosistem pendidikan sehat dan berkualitas. Kata kunci: LMS moodle; personal hygiene; numerasi; guru sekolah dasar. Abstract The objectives of this community service program are to: (1) enhance teachers’ competencies in digital learning management, (2) cultivate students’ clean and healthy habits, and (3) strengthen the management of basic numeracy instruction. The partner institutions include 10 teachers from MI Darul Ulum and approximately 60 primary students (grades 4–5) at the Nafisa Foundation. The activities consisted of workshops, mentoring, counseling. The program was implemented in Mojosarirejo Village, Driyorejo–Gresik, from 1 July to 4 August 2025. Evaluation employed pre–post tests, questionnaires, observations, and brief interviews. The results show that: (1) Moodle-based LMS training improved digital skills—prior to the activity, 100% of teachers had never logged in and 90.9% did not understand account creation; after the workshop, 87.5% were able to log in independently. (2) Personal-hygiene counseling for 28 elementary students at the Nafisa Foundation increased average knowledge scores from 7.45 (pretest) to 10.00 (posttest), a significant difference (p < .001). (3) In numeracy, teachers’ lesson-planning capacity improved: formulation of Learning Objectives (TP) rose from 3/15 to 15/15, Learning Outcomes (CP) from 4/15 to 15/15, and the use of local context from 2/15 to 15/15; about 80% of students reported higher engagement and interest. Qualitatively, teachers became more confident in managing digital learning and designing activity-based numeracy, while students showed greater enthusiasm and better hygiene practices. Overall, the program effectively strengthened schools’ readiness for a healthy, high-quality educational ecosystem. Keywords: moodle LMS; personal hygiene; numeracy; elementary school teachers.
