Abstract

ABSTRACT. The learning process of biotechnology material in SMA and MA Kubu Raya still has problems such as the lack of learning media that only textbooks and LKS. The textbooks and LKS have drawbacks, including only showing a few images, too much writing and material that does not yet contain the potential of local West Kalimantan biotechnology. So that development is carried out, namely the flip book that has gone through a validation process. However, the untrue response to the flip book is unknown, so the purpose of this study was to determine the teacher's response to the West Kalimantan-based biotechnology flip book learning typical of the Kubu Raya High School. The method used is descriptive with quantitative and qualitative approaches. The data collection tool in this study was using a closed questionnaire. Determination of the sample using purposive sampling technique with consideration of the area and school accreditation. The results showed that the average response of teachers of SMA and MA Kubu Raya to flip books in aspects of attraction was 84.99%, material aspects 82.34%, language aspects 84.73%, and media aspects 74.73%. Based on the results of the research conducted, it can be concluded that the teacher's response to the West Kalimantan-based biotechnology flip book learning typical of SMA Kubu Raya has positive criteria based on aspects of interest, material aspects, language aspects and media aspects. ABSTRAK. Proses pembelajaran materi bioteknologi di SMA dan MA Kubu Raya masih memiliki permasalahan seperti kekurangan media ajar yang hanya menggunakan media berupa buku paket dan lembar kerja siswa (LKS). Buku paket dan LKS tersebut memiliki kekurangan antara lain hanya menampilkan sedikit gambar, terlalu banyak tulisan dan materi belum memuat potensi bioteknologi konvensional lokal Kalbar. Sehingga dilakukan pengembangan yaitu flip book yang telah melalui proses validasi. Namun respon giru terhadap flip book tersebut belum diketahui sehingga tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui respon guru terhadap flip book pembelajaran bioteknologi berbasis fermentasi khas Kalimantan Barat di SMA Kubu Raya. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Alat pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini ialah dengan menggunakan angket tertutup. Penentuan sampel dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan pertimbangan wilayah dan akreditasi sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata respon guru SMA dan MA Kubu Raya terhadap flip book pada aspek ketertarikan sebesar 84,99%, aspek materi 82,34%, aspek bahasa 84,73%, dan aspek media 74,73%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa respon guru terhadap flip book pembelajaran bioteknologi berbasis fermentasi khas Kalimantan Barat di SMA Kubu Raya memiliki kriteria positif berdasarkan aspek ketertarikan, aspek materi, aspek bahasa dan aspek media.

Abstract

Selection of the use of instructional media is necessary to create effective and innovative learning conditions that support the learning process, one of which is the articulate storyline media. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of articulate storyline media on student interest and retention. The research method used is Quasi Experimental Design with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The treatment in the experimental class (XI IIS 2) used articulate storyline media and in the control class (XI IIS 1) used PPT. Data collection techniques using measurement techniques and questionnaires. Data collection tools used are tests and questionnaires. The results of the study show that the use of articulate storyline media is effective for students' interest and retention. The interest of the students in the experimental class differed significantly from that of the control class (independent samples t-test value of 0.000) and was influenced by the treatment by 55.4% (Effect Size value of 1.00). The retention of students in the experimental class was significantly different from the control class (U-Mann Whitney value 0.006) and was affected by the treatment by 51.6% (Effect Size value 0.92).

Abstract

Edugame dapat dimanfaatkan untuk mengurangi dan menghilangkan rasa bosan siswa saat mengikuti proses pembelajaran. Edugame yang menyenangkan dapat dibuat dan dikembangkan oleh guru sesuai dengan tujuan pembelajaran yang ingin dicapai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatahui kevalidan media edugame berbasis android sebagai penunjang pembelajaran materi virus kelas X SMAS Mujahidin Pontianak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development dengan mengadaptasi model pengambangan Alessi dan Trolip. Langkah dalam penelitian ini yaitu; (1) perencanaan (Planning), (2) perancangan (design), (3) pengembangan (depelopment). Pengambilan data menggunakan angket validasi yang diisi oleh validator ahli. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan media edugame valid pada aspek materi sebesar 83%, aspek media sebesar 91,33%, aspek bahasa 92,59%. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah media edugame berbasis android layak digunakan.

Abstract

Animated video media can make students interested in learning. The objectives of this research are, 1) To determine the differences in learning outcomes and learning activities of class class X student activities between classes that use animated video media and classes that use powerpoint media. The research sample was all students in class X Mia 1 and Mia 2. Data were collected using the test method in the form of multiple-choice questions and observation sheets. Data analysis uses quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. Based on the research results, it was obtained using the t-test there was a significant difference in student activity in class of 0.048, and in learning outcomes there was a significant difference of 0.000. Based on the Effect Size results, activity results were obtained at 0.51 and student learning outcomes at 0.50, including in the medium category.

Abstract

From the results of interviews with teachers at the IT Baitul Qur'an junior high school, information was obtained that in carrying out learning, teachers used textbooks and worksheets to convey the sub-material of additives. However, these teaching materials have several shortcomings, such as material that is difficult to understand, explanations that are incomplete, and do not display information or examples on the material being explained. This research aims to produce a pocket book media based on the ethnobotany of the Malay tribe of West Kalimantan on the sub-material of additives for class VIII junior high school. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D), with the Alessi and Trolip development model. This research stage has three stages, namely planning, design and development. The results of the research show that the pocket book media based on the ethnobotany of the West Kalimantan Malay tribe that was developed obtained a feasibility score on the media aspect of 92.50% (very valid), the material aspect of 91.67% (very valid), and the linguistic aspect of 90.48 % (very valid). Meanwhile, the results of students' responses to the pocket book based on ethnobotany of the Malay tribe of West Kalimantan obtained a score of 90.14% with very strong criteria. Therefore, it can be concluded that the ethnobotany-based pocket book media that was developed is very suitable for use and received a positive response from students.

Abstract

Pada pembelajaran biologi materi animalia, khususnya pada praktikum amfibi, digunakan kunci identifikasi dikotom yang masih sulit dipahami siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media power point interaktif dengan bantuan hyperlink yang valid untuk mempermudah siswa dalam praktikum identifikasi amfibi. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE. Pengembangan ADDIE terdiri dari 5 tahapan yaitu analisis (analysis), desain (design), pengembangan (development), implementasi (implementation) dan tahap evaluasi (evaluation). Pada penelitian ini dibatasi hingga tahap pengembangan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui validasi ahli dengan menggunakan angket validasi. Hasil validasi menunjukkan media power point interaktif untuk identifikasi amfibi ini mendapatkan nilai kevalidan pada aspek materi sebesar 89% (Sangat Valid), aspek media sebesar 96% (Sangat Valid) dan aspek bahasa sebesar 97% (Sangat Valid). Dapat disimpulkan media power point interaktif sangat valid untuk digunakan pada identifikasi amfibi.

Abstract

Hasil wawancara dengan guru biologi di SMA Al-Rahmah Sekadau diperoleh informasi bahwa pembelajaran pada materi ekosistem di kelas X sudah menggunakan bahan ajar berupa buku paket dan lembar kerja siswa (LKS). Namun, bahan ajar tersebut masih memiliki kekurangan diantaranya belum menampilkan informasi mengenai kearifan lokal masyarakat sekitar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media modul pembelajaran biologi berbasis kearifan lokal di Kawasan Hutan Adat Tawang Panyai Kabupaten Sekadau pada materi ekosistem. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah Research and Development (R&D), dengan model pengembangan Alessi dan Trollip. Tahapan penelitian ini memiliki tiga tahap yaitu planning, design dan development. Hasil penelitian menunjukan media modul pembelajaran biologi berbasis kearifan lokal yang dikembangkan mendapatkan nilai kelayakan pada aspek media sebesar 79,63% (valid), aspek materi sebesar 81% (sangat valid), dan aspek bahasa sebesar 79,76% (valid). Sedangkan untuk hasil respon siswa terhadap modul pembelajaran biologi berbasis kearifan lokal diperoleh nilai sebesar 79,41% dengan kriteria kuat. Maka dari itu dapat disimpulkan media modul pembelajaran biologi berbasis kearifan lokal yang dikembangkan layak digunakan dan mendapat respon positif dari siswa.

Abstract

Learning in the industrial era 4.0 requires students to be able to have critical thinking skills, creative, communicative, collaborative, meaningful, interesting, applicable, adaptive, and contextual, and have selling points to foster student entrepreneurship. Biology is one of the subjects that can be applied to foster students' entrepreneurial spirit through Biopreneur activities. The entrepreneurial attitude of students cannot just grow but must be instilled early. Based on the results of observations and interviews with biology teachers at SMAIT AL-FITYAN Kubu Raya, information was obtained that students had never been given learning about biopreneurs. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out Biopreneur service activities for making cheese using kandis acid as a coagulant to replace rennet to foster students' entrepreneurial attitudes at SMAIT AL-FITIYAN. The methods that will be used in the service activities are; giving pre-test, socialization activities about cheese and the use of kandis acid; cheese making training; and evaluation of service activities by giving post-tests and response questionnaires. Based on the results of the questionnaire analysis, information was obtained that 100% of the participants had never participated in similar activities and thought that the material provided was new and the material that had been given was easy to practice again. As for the clarity of the material, the participants gave a very good response with a score of 81.25%. Participants also gave a very good response with a score of 100% regarding the location of activities that were easy to reach. For the services provided by the committee, participants gave a very good response of 100%. Based on the results of the activity, it can be concluded that the training provided was able to increase the participants' knowledge by 12.8% and the average participant response to the activity was 90.62% with a very good category. Thus, the training conducted can run effectively

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance the competency of teachers in creating Educational Play Tools (APE) from waste materials at TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Kubu Raya. Early childhood education involves learning through play, making APE an essential component in the learning process. This activity was conducted on September 20, 2023, at the Auditorium of Muhammadiyah University Pontianak, involving 15 teachers from 8 institutions affiliated with the Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Teachers' Association (IGABA) Kubu Raya. The methods used included lectures, demonstrations, and Q&A sessions. The training consisted of three stages: providing material on APE, practical APE creation, and mentoring and monitoring. Evaluation was conducted using participant response questionnaires, covering four indicators: previous training experience, increased environmental awareness, new knowledge gained, and the ability to create APE after the training. The results showed that 100% of the participants could create and use APE in their teaching. Additionally, the training provided a new experience for 66.7% of the participants who had never attended similar training before. APEs were made from recycled materials such as cardboard, plastic bottles, and fabric, also raising participants' environmental awareness. In conclusion, this training effectively improved teachers' competency in creating APE, which is expected to enhance the quality of early childhood education at TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Kubu Raya. Documentation of APE usage in schools demonstrated successful implementation, with various types of APE designed to activate different aspects of child development.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences in student learning outcomes at SMA Negeri 1 Belimbing on biodiversity material taught with infographic videos and determine the magnitude of the influence of infographic videos on biodiversity material on student learning outcomes at SMA Negeri 1 Belimbing. This study uses an experimental method with a form of quasi experimental research (Quasi Experimental Design) based on the research design of Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The samples in this study were class X2 as the experimental class and class X4 as the control class determined by simple random sampling technique. Based on the results of the study, the difference in student learning outcomes with the percentage of completeness of the experimental class posttest score was 90% and the control class was 51.613%. The results of the effect size calculation are 1,669 with a large percent nonoverlap of 73,4%, so it is included in the large category and there is an influence of infographic videos on biodiversity material on student learning outcomes at SMA Negeri 1 Belimbing. Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar siswa materi keanekaragaman hayati yang diajarkan dengan video infografis dan mengetahui besarnya pengaruh video infografis pada materi keanekaragaman hayati terhadap hasil belajar siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Belimbing. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan bentuk penelitian eksperimen semu (Quasi Experimental Design) berdasarkan rancangan penelitian Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu kelas X2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X4 sebagai kelas kontrol yang ditentukan dengan teknik simple random sampling. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian perbedaan hasil belajar siswa dengan persentase ketuntasan nilai posttest kelas eksperimen sebesar 90% dan kelas control sebesar 51,613%. Hasil perhitungan effect size yaitu sebesar 1,669 dengan besar percent nonoverlap sebesar 73,4% maka masuk dengan kategori besar dan terdapat pengaruh video infografis pada materi keanekaragaman hayati terhadap hasil belajar siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Belimbing.
