Abstract

Minimnya media pembelajaran yang memanfaatkan potensi lokal Kalimantan Barat dalam pembelajaran bioteknologi menyebabkan media pembelajaran hanya terfokus pada buku ajar. Sehingga pembelajaran menjadi kurang inovatif. Guru mengalami kesulitan dalam membuat media pembelajaran karena guru masih kurang pengalaman dan pemahaman tentang penyediaan media pembelajaran. Sehingga perlu dibuat media pembelajaran dengan memanfaatkan potensi lokal Kalimantan Barat yang dapat menunjang proses pembelajaran bioteknologi. Bentuk pelaksanaan program kegiatan pengabdian sebagai wujud realisasi masalah dari beberapa tahapan yaitu Pelatihan pengalihan BAL Tempoyak sebagai media pembelajaran biologi, Pendampingan penyusun sarana pembelajaran implementasi BAL Tempoyak dalam pembuatan yoghurt, dan evaluasi pengabdian. kegiatan . Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian adalah peningkatan pengetahuan, keterampilan dan kompetensi guru dalam membuat media pembelajaran dengan menggunakan potensi lokal yang dituangkan dalam RPP dan LKPD. Peserta memberikan respon yang positif terhadap kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dengan proporsi rata-rata yang besar yaitu 75%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan bakteri asam laktat tempoyak untuk media pembelajaran biologi yang inovatif dapat menjadi ide kreatif dan inovatif yang baik untuk membuat perangkat pembelajaran.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pendahuluan yang bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi potensi lokal yang ada di daerah Kapuas Hulu sebagai sumber belajar biologi yang sesuai dengan kompetensi dasar pada kurikulum 2013. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik survei melalui pendekatan deskriptif eksploratif. Partisipan dalam Penelitian ini adalah guru biologi dari 3 sekolah menengah atas di kecamatan Putussibau kabupaten Kapuas hulu yang berjumlah 5 orang guru. Pemilihan sample menggunakan Teknik purposive sampel. Instrument penelitian ini menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi berupa gambar. Hasil kajian terdapat 14 potensi lokal di kabupaten Kapuas hulu. Terdiri dari 6 jenis sumber daya alam 3 flora 3 fauna, 1 Kawasan konservasi, 3 kuliner, 1 seni, 2 kerajinan dan 1 upacara adat. Pengelompokkan potensi lokal dapat dikaitkan dengan mata pelajaran biologi di SMA. Potensi lokal dapat dikategorikan pemanfaatannya dalam bidang Pendidikan, yaitu sumber daya alam dan Kawasan konservasi dapat di jadikan sebagai kegiatan praktikum pada pembelajaran dengan bantuan (LKPD), selanjutnya kuliner lokal dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai kegiatan praktikum pada perangkat pembelajaran (RPP), potensi lokal seni, kerajinan dan upacara adat dapat dijadikan sebagai referensi tambahan untuk program pengayaan perangkat pembelajaran ( RPP).

Abstract

Pembuktian oksigen sebagai hasil reaksi terang fotosintesis dapat diamati melalui metode praktikum di laboraturium. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan guru mata pelajaran biologi dan siswa kelas XII IPA SMAN 1 Hulu Gurung diketahui bahwa guru menggunakan penuntun praktikum yang terdapat di dalam buku paket. Penuntun praktikum ini hanya menampilkan sedikit gambar pada cara kerja sehingga siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami cara kerja dan menggunakan alat praktikum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan penuntun praktikum fotosintesis berbasis audio visual yang lanyak digunakan berdasarkan aspek kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan. Pengembangan penuntun praktikum fotosintesis berbasis audiovisual ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan model 4-D, yaitu tahap pendefinisian, perancangan, pengembangan dan penyebaran, tetapi tahap penyebaran tidak dilakukan. Hasil peneltian menunjukkan kevalidan pada aspek bahasa sebesar 83,33% (sangat valid), aspek materi sebesar 84,03% (sangat valid) dan aspek kegrafikan sebesar 84,72% (sangat valid). Berdasarkan uji coba skala kecil dan skala besar, kepraktisan penuntun praktikum fotosintesis berbasis audio visual bernilai posistif. Keefektifan media pembelajaran diperoleh berdasarkan nilai postest. Ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 77,77% yang menunjukkan bahwa penuntun praktikum fotosintesis berbasis audiovisual dinyatakan efektif. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah penuntun praktikum fotosintesis berbasis audio visual yang telah dikembangkan dapat dikatakan valid, praktis dan efektif.

Abstract

The presence of learning media in teaching and learning activities has an important meaning. This study aims to develop a pocket book media based on mind mapping on class VII living things classification material. This research uses the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Data collection was carried out using a validated questionnaire for material experts, linguists, media experts, and student response questionnaires. The results showed that the developed mind mapping-based pocket book media scored 85% for the media aspect (very feasible), 85% for the language aspect (very feasible), and 94% for the material aspect (very feasible). While the results of student responses used 2 development trials, namely small-scale trials of 90.96% (Very Positive) and large-scale trials of 92.41% (Very Positive). It can be concluded that the pocketbook media developed is very feasible and gets a very positive response from students so it can be used in learning class VII living things classification material.

Abstract

Misconceptions often occur in education, especially in biology.  Misconceptions can occur outside of school. In addition, there are preconceptions of other sources.  Sources of these preconceptions are, for example, films with unorganized science-fiction themes. Film  The most popular children's animation in the community today is Upin & Ipin. Study  This study aims to find out the misconceptions in the Upin & Ipin film with the theme  learning biology material on viruses, ecosystems, and environmental pollution. Which method  used in this research is descriptive method with qualitative data approach. Technique  data collection uses observation and documentation while data collection tools  in the form of observation sheets and documentation tools in the form of video files for the film Upin & Ipin season 11 with the Erase Virus 1-3, Season 10 with the title Ecosystem part 1-3, Season 7 with the title Dangers of Jerebu part 1-3. The results of the analysis of misconceptions of the film Upin & Ipin are the most in episodes  the Erase Virus. There are 5 concepts that experience misconceptions with the category of misidentification by 71.42% with high level category and there are 2 concepts with category  oversimplification of 28.57% in the low level category. For Upin & Ipin film episode Ecosystem and Dangers of Jerebu there are 9 concepts but there are no misconceptions. Based on  From this research, it can be concluded that there are misconceptions in Upin & Ipin film season 11 episodes the Erase Virus part 1-3.

Abstract

Pandemi covid-19 menyebabkan terjadinya transfomasi pembelajaran dari luring menjadi daring. Perubahan tersebut membawa konsekuensi yaitu berkembangnya penggunaan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis digital. Salah satu aplikasi yang dapat digunakan yaitu articulate storyline, yang dapat memfasilitasi guru dalam membuat media ajar berbasis digital. Sehingga dapat mengakomodir peserta didik dalam proses pmebelajaran. Berdasarkan letak geografis, sebagian besar Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) diwilayah Kota Pontianak dan Kabupaten Kubu Raya berada pada daerah dengan cakupan jaringan internet yang memadai. Namun, pembuatan media ajar berbasis digital belum banyak dilakukan oleh guru diarea tersebut. Maka dari itu perlu dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian untuk meningkatkan keterampilan guru di wilayah Kota Pontianak dan Kabuaten Kubu Raya. Metode yang akan digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian yaitu; kegiatan pelatihan pembuatan media pembelajaran menggunakan aplikasi articulate storyline; praktik dan pendampingan pembuatan media pembelajaran menggunakan aplikasi articulate storyline; dan evaluasi kegiatan pengabdian. Kegiatan pengabdian dihadiri oleh 21 guru yang berasal dari 10 SMA Negeri dan Swasta di wilayah Kota Pontianak dan Kabupaten Kubu Raya. Hasil angket menunjukkan bahwa  84,6% peserta pelatihan belum pernah mengikuti kegiatan pelatihan pembuatan media pembelajaran menggunakan Articulate Storyline, 92,3% materi pelatihan yang diberikan menambah pengetahun baru bagi peserta, 76,9% peserta menilai kegiatan pelatihan dapat dilakukan kembali kepada para guru lainnya dan dapat membantu guru dalam menyiapkan media ajar, 92,3% peserta menilai materi pelatihan relevan untuk pembelajaran di era blended learning, dan 100% peserta setuju untuk menerapkan materi pelatihan dalam membuat media ajar.

Abstract

The impact of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 on education is to position education for modern learning. Modern learning must certainly involve learning media that can optimize the learning process. This study aims develop flash card media of lactic acid bacteria diversity of traditional food Pakati’ng Rape’ based on augmented reality. This research uses a research and development (R&D) method with the Alessi and Trollip development model and involves 9 validators to validate flash card learning media. This research instrument uses validation sheets consisting of language validation sheets, media validation sheets and material validation sheets with quantitative analysis techniques. For the practicality test, there is a student response questionnaire instrument. The results of this study are the development of flash card media diversity of lactic acid bacteria traditional food Pakati’ng Rape’ based augmented reality has been declared feasible with an average of 90.39% (is very practical). Based on the result of student responses, the average wa 79% (practical) in the small-scale test and 80% (practical) in the large-scale test. Flash card media diversity of lactic acid bacteria tradisional food Pakati’ng Rape’ based on agumented reality to be valid and practical so that it can be used in learning.

Abstract

Selection of bacteria in yoghurt fermentation is important to produce yoghurt with good quality. Tempoyak lactic acid bacteria is potential to be yoghurt starter culture becouse tempoyak fermentation has similarities in producing lactic acid such as yoghurt. This study aimed to isolate and identify the lactic acid bacteria (LAB) from tempoyak which will be used as a yoghurt starter culture. The methods used in this study included isolation and selection of acid-producing bacteria, lactase and protease activity test, identification of morphology and biochemistry as well as testing the quality of the yoghurt. The results of the study obtained 32 isolates of the LAB with the same characteristic colony, include the round shape, cream-coloured with convex elevation and, smooth surface and entire edge. Selection of acid-producing bacteria obtained 12 isolates with the ability to produce clear zones on MRSA + CaCO3 media ≥ 0.7 cm. Selection of lactase-producing LAB obtained six strains and the protease test obtained two superior strains. Two superior strains namely Tp 12 and Tp 28 have characteristics of coccus, gram-positive, negative catalase, non-endospore and non-motile forms. The organoleptic and several quality tests showed yoghurt using Tp 12 as starter has higher acceptability, the highest levels of lactic acid and lactose levels with values respectively 4.25, 0.84% and 24.53%. This study obtained the LAB strain which can be used as yoghurt starter culture. Tp 12 strain can be used to improve the quality of yoghurt and become a commercial starter that can be applied to various fermented products.

Abstract

This study aims to identify students' scientific reasoning abilities in biology lessons during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research uses descriptive qualitative and quantitative methods. Sampling used a table for determining the number of samples from a certain population with an error rate of 10%, amounting to 131 students. The research samples were 23 students of class VIII A, 23 students of VIII B, 23 students of VIII C, and 23 students of VIII D. The data collection used the scientific reasoning ability test method in the form of an essay. Based on the results of the scientific reasoning ability test, students fall into the less category, namely as much as 55.43%. The research obtained can be concluded that the scientific reasoning ability of students is in the poor category, especially in the indicators of compiling and providing reasons or evidence for the correctness of the solution, drawing conclusions from statements

Abstract

The learning media in SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pontianak quite varied, but they are limited to print media that do not contain local potential. One media that expected to be used by students of SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pontianak in learning Biology is digital comics. The purpose of this study is to produce digital comic learning media based on the local potential of West Kalimantan which is valid and to get a positive response from students. This research was carried out in the even semester of the 2021/2022 academic year using Research and Development with a modified 4D model, namely, Define, Design and Develop without Dissemination. The data collection technique was a validation questionnaire filled in by 9 validators on aspects of media, material and language. Student responses were measured using a questionnaire on small-scale trials and large-scale trials. The results showed that the developed digital comic media obtained very valid scores on the media aspect (92.38%) and language aspects (82.42%), while on the material aspect it obtained a valid value (79.58%). Students gave very positive responses in small-scale trials (96%) and large-scale trials (99%). It was concluded that the media developed are valid and acknowledged very positive responses from students.
