Abstract

Abstract. The female head of the family has a dual role, that is, a housewife and breadwinner to meet family needs. The study aims to analyze the effect of female head of household characteristics and group characteristics on participatory communication of groups and economic independence of women household heads. Respondents were Pekka groups in twelve villages in Batang City, Central Java, as many as 229 heads of households aged 22-74 years. The characteristics measured include 5 dimensions namely: age, education, marital status, number of dependents, and income. Data were analyzed descriptively and multiple linear regression testing was carried out. The results showed that there was a direct positive effect on the characteristics of female household heads in participatory communication and the economic independence of female household heads. and there is a direct negative effect on group characteristics on participatory communication and the economic independence of the female household headKeywords: regulation effect, female head of a family, Pekka group, economic independence Abstrak.Kepala keluarga perempuan memiliki peran ganda, yaitu, seorang ibu rumah tangga dan pencari nafkah untuk memenuhi kebutuhan keluarga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh karakteristik kepala rumah tangga perempuan dan karakteristik kelompok terhadap komunikasi partisipatif kelompok dan kemandirian ekonomi kepala rumah tangga perempuan. Responden adalah kelompok Pekka di dua belas desa di Kota Batang, Jawa Tengah, sebanyak 229 kepala keluarga berusia 22-74 tahun. Karakteristik yang diukur meliputi 5 dimensi yaitu: usia, pendidikan, status perkawinan, jumlah tanggungan, dan pendapatan. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan dilakukan uji regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh positif langsung pada karakteristik kepala rumah tangga perempuan dalam komunikasi partisipatif dan kemandirian ekonomi kepala rumah tangga perempuan. Selain itu, ada efek negatif langsung pada karakteristik kelompok pada komunikasi partisipatif dan kemandirian ekonomi kepala rumah tangga perempuanKata kunci: efek regulasi, kepala keluarga wanita, kelompok Pekka, kemandirian ekonomi Аннотация.Женщина как глава семьи играет двойную роль, то есть роль домохозяйки и кормильца семьи. Цель исследования - проанализировать влияние характеристики женщин как главы семьи и групповой характеристики на групповое совместное общение и экономическую независимость женщин как главы семьи. Респондентой была группа Pekka (Полномочия семей с женщинами как главами семьи) в двенадцати деревнях в городе Батанг, в Центральной Яве, 229 глав семьи в возрасте 22-74 лет. Измеренные характеристики включают 5 параметров, а именно: возраст, образование, семейное положение, количество иждивенцев и доход. Данные были проанализированы описательно, и было проведено множественное линейное регрессионное тестирование. Результаты показали, что непосредственное положительное влияние оказали характеристики женщин как глава семьи в совместном общении и экономической независимости. Кроме того, существует прямое негативное влияние на групповые характеристики на совместное общение и экономическую независимость женщин как глав семьи.Ключевые слова: Эффект регулирования, Женщина как глава семьи, Группа Pekka, Экономическая независимость.

Abstract

Social media have become an integral element of modern life. Internet accessibility has boosted the public's engagement in computer-controlled official and informal activities. However, many information sources contain unsupported, inaccurate, and erroneous material. In this circumstance, media literacy is a significant phenomenon in developing and non-developing nations. Due to the misuse of social media and lack of media literacy in Bangladesh, some unexpected communal acts of violence happened during the past decade. This study intends to emphasize, from a Bangladeshi viewpoint, the significance of media literacy in reducing rumors, misinformation, disinformation, and fake news. Using descriptive research methodologies, more than forty secondary data sources from Bengali, English, Russian, Indonesian, and Turkish literature, such as research papers, reports, news stories, publications, books, and theses, have been examined. In order to combat misinformation, rumors, fake news, and yellow journalism in developing nations like Bangladesh, where literacy rates are still low, it is imperative to increase media literacy levels. In this regard, governments and non-governmental groups should work collaboratively to fix the deficiencies in this process.

Abstract

This research wants to explain how TikTok has become an informative medium for Generation Z. In the Information Age, technology and the internet make it easier for people to search for information. Sharing information is easy to access through websites or social media platforms. One of the rising stars whose users are increasing is the TikTok application. This social media application for sharing videos made by Bytedance continues to improve. In 2022, based on the databox, it was recorded that its use will reach 1.4 billion users worldwide. Business of Apps data in 2021 shows that almost 60% of its users are Gen Z. TikTok has developed into a place for people to get information. In this research, the researcher explains how the phenomenon of using the TikTok application as a new information media for Generation Z is in a case study in Lagoa Village, North Jakarta. The research method is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques with interviews, observation, and literature study. The research results show that TikTok has emerged as a new information medium that is popular among the public, with users using it to share knowledge, insights, and information in various fields. The TikTok application has a very high impact on society. Very high is meant here; the information obtained from the TikTok application makes people confident to act after being exposed to information that interests them. Abstrak Penelitian ini ingin menjelaskan bagaimana TikTok menjadi media Informatif kalangan Generasi Z. Era Informasi, teknologi dan internet mempermudah orang melakukan pencarian informasi. Berbagi informasi begitu mudah di akses melalui website ataupun berbagai platfom media sosial. Salah satu rising star yang meningkat penggunanya ada Aplikasi TikTok. Aplikasi media sosial untuk berbagi video besutan Bytedance ini meningkat terus. Tahun 2022, berdasarkan databoks tercatat penggunaannya mencapai1.4 Miliyar pengguna diseluruh dunia. Data Business of Apps pada 2021 memperlihatkan hampir 60% penggunanya adalah Gen Z. TikTok berkembang menjadi salah satu wadah masyarakat memdapatkan informasi. Dalam penelitian peneliti ini menjelaskan bagaimana fenomena penggunaan aplikasi TikTok sebagai media informasi baru Generasi Z di studi kasusnya di Kelurahan Lagoa, Jakarta Utara. Metode penelitian adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan wawancara, observasi dan studi literatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukan TikTok muncul menjadi media informasi baru yang populer di kalangan masyarakat, dengan pengguna yang memanfaatkannya untuk berbagi pengetahuan, wawasan, dan informasi dalam berbagai bidang. Aplikasi TikTok memberikan dampak yang sangat tinggi kepada masyarakat. Sangat tinggi yang dimaksud di sini, informasi yang didapat dari aplikasi TikTok membuat masyarakat yakin untuk bertindak setelah terpapar sebuah informasi yang menarik menurut mereka.

Abstract

The development of information technology enables libraries to improve the effectiveness and the efficiency of services to users by utilizing social media as a communication tool. UPNVJ Library chose Instagram as a platform because of its popularity and suitability of features with utility. The purpose of this study is to analyze the strategy applied by UPNVJ Library in utilizing Instagram as a communication media to improve services to users. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach to explore the strategy of UPNVJ Library to use Instagram. The results of the study showed that UPNVJ Library uses Instagram as a communication media by using four pillars of social media strategy, namely communication, collaboration, education, and entertainment when providing information through content. In addition, UPNVJ Library adjusts a good strategic communication to notice the most aspec like caption, hashtag, story, highlight, direct message, comment, and like. The another factor which is related to planning content. However, this research found some obstacles in managing Instagram UPNVJ Library’s, the weakness of staff, the least followers in civitas, the difficulty to find them, and hot to make the captions. So to control this researches to recommended some solution, as a increase the staff, make the formation and the training, promotion and hation and make the riset socialization and make the riset of the another account library Instagram so can make the inspiration for other, the references about them and another interesting and relevant.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Social media is one of the most popular media in Indonesia, including Instagram. Instagram is a social media platform that allows users to upload content such as texts, photos, and videos on the feed, stories, and reels Instagram. Instagram users can communicate with other individuals or organizations by giving likes and comments on photos and videos. However, the messages received can contain something positive or negative that can affect mental health. Mental health disorders can cause uncomfortable feelings such as feeling guilty, anxious, afraid, or comparing oneself to the content displayed on social media. This article explains the results of research on the phenomenon of increasing mental health problems in the productive age group. The effort made to address this issue is by providing information and communication about mental health on social media, including Instagram. This research aims to measure interpersonal communication related to mental health on the Instagram platform using the encoding-decoding theory. The method used is qualitative descriptive by conducting interviews with 6 active followers of the @ibunda.id Instagram account. The results show that there is a difference in how followers interpret the information and communication presented in the content on the account, some followers accept all the information presented, and other followers have a different opinion about the meaning of the information presented. Keywords: Encoding-Decoding Theory; Interpersonal Communication; Mental Health ABSTRAK Media sosial adalah salah satu media yang sedang populer di Indonesia, termasuk Instagram. Instagram adalah media sosial yang memungkinkan pengguna untuk mengunggah konten-konten berupa teks, foto, dan video di feed, stories dan reels Instagram. Pengguna Instagram dapat berkomunikasi dengan individu atau organisasi lain melalui memberikan like dan komentar pada foto dan video. Namun, pesan yang diterima dapat berisi sesuatu yang positif atau negatif yang dapat mempengaruhi kesehatan mental. Kesehatan mental yang terganggu dapat menyebabkan perasaan tidak nyaman seperti merasa bersalah, cemas, takut, atau membandingkan diri sendiri dengan konten yang ditampilkan di media sosial. Artikel ini menjelaskan hasil penelitian tentang fenomena meningkatnya masalah kesehatan mental pada kelompok usia produktif. Upaya yang dilakukan untuk menangani masalah ini adalah dengan memberikan informasi dan komunikasi tentang kesehatan mental di media sosial, termasuk Instagram. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur komunikasi interpersonal terkait kesehatan mental di platform Instagram menggunakan teori encoding-decoding. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan melakukan wawancara terhadap 6 orang followers aktif akun Instagram @ibunda.id. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan dalam cara followers menafsirkan informasi dan komunikasi yang disampaikan konten-konten di akun tersebut, ada followers yang menerima semua informasi yang disajikan, dan followers lainnya memiliki pendapat yang berbeda tentang makna informasi yang disampaikan. Abstract

The campaign narrative for the dissolution of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) invited many comments from netizens on social media to develop into a digital social movement to urge the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) to be dissolved because one of its members was arrested by the police regarding the issue of terrorism. This news had become a trending topic on Twitter and threatened the existence of MUI as a forum for Islamic community organizations in Indonesia. To analyze these problems, researchers used the Network Society theory with a quantitative approach and the Social Network Analysis (SNA) method to analyze it. This study aims to analyze actors’ conversations in voicing new social movements through the #BubaranMUI hashtag. Through the spread of a communication network on the hashtag #BubarkanMUI, it was found to be an effort of a digital social movement that was echoed by political actors through a single Twitter account as well as building fake accounts as alter egos for intermediaries and network close relations to spread negative comments about MUI and spread communication networks as a public call through media atwitter and gain support from Twitter users to disband the MUI.

Abstract

In support of SDGs program no. 2 Zero Hunger, the fulfillment of food supply, especially the availability of rice for national food, must be considered. The government through Kementerian Pertanian RI  with Kementerian Badan Usaha Milik Negara (BUMN) appointed PT Pupuk Indonesia and released an application, namely the integration of Pupuk Bersubdi (i-Pubers). Launching i-Pubers is a form of communication of innovations from government programs. The acceptance of the application is a TAM model with an innovation diffusion approach so that i-Pubers can answer the needs of farmers about the effective and efficient redemption process of subsidized fertilizers. The purpose of this study is to describe and explain the implementation of the TAM model innovation in the i-Pubers application in the subsidized fertilizer redemption process. This research uses a qualitative research method with descriptive analysis, while the data collection method is through interviews, document studies, and observations with informants of a partner owners, farmers, and farmer. The results of the research with these informants show that the Barito Kuala community consisting of Farmers, Agricultural Extension Officers, and Subsidised Fertiliser Kiosk Owners or Kiosk Partners are coils that each other has a role to succeed in using i-Pubers. Community acceptance of the i-Pubers application is a form of acceptance because the application is easy and useful in supporting fertilizer needs in Barito Kuala Regency.Keywords: Diffusion of Innovation, TAM, i-Pubers

Abstract

This research explains how YouTube has become a financial literacy medium for the millennial generation. The current technological era has made YouTube a video-based social media platform popular with many groups because it is considered more interactive and shows more real phenomena, providing more detailed and extensive information. This makes YouTube the most widely used social media in 2019. Various information is available on YouTube which is content from users who have YouTube channels. One piece of information that is widely spread is information about financial literacy. Financial literacy is considered important for the millennial generation to understand as a generation belonging to a productive group that influences economic activities to be wiser in consumption activities. The millennial generation is considered to have problems with financial issues because they have an extravagant, consumptive lifestyle driven by information from the media and technology. This research discusses YouTube content that can be used as a financial literacy medium for the millennial generation using literature study research methods and taking data sources from three YouTube channels in Indonesia. The results of this research show that YouTube can be used as social media that provides financial literacy information and has an influence on financial understanding for the millennial generation in the digital space.

Abstract

Dalam pandangan determinisme sosial bahwa teknologi bersifat netral, sehingga ada peranan struktur dan sosial yang mempengaruhi cara pandang dan kontrol terhadap teknologi. Mobile Legend sebagai permainan digital kini sangat digemari di Indonesia. Sedangkan layanan video streaming YouTube sebagai bagian dari teknologi juga popular digunakan untuk pemasaran bisnis. Nyatanya keduanya bisa saja bersifat destruktif akibat dari kuasa elit. Melalui sudut pandang determinisme sosial dan analisis konten pada Mobile Legend Bang Bang (MLBB) Youtube Video Streaming, peneliti dapat melihat bagaimana proses Youtube Video Streaming dapat dijadikan sebagai media periklanan dalam perjudian online.

Abstract

Kebiasaan membuang sampah sembarangan seolah sudah menjadi budaya dalam masyarakat. Penelitian ini akan menganalisa peran dan pendekatan Pandawara Group dalam menggunakan media baru untuk mendorong dan mengkampanyekan kebersihan lingkungan dengan menggunakan media sosial terutama TikTok. Penelitian ini menekankan manfaat kampanye tersebut terhadap kesadaran masyarakat dan perubahan perilaku dalam menjaga kebersihan lingkungan terutama Sungai dan Pantai melalui analisis konten media sosial mereka. Penemuan dari penelitian ini memberikan pemahaman yang penting tentang seberapa efektif media baru dalam membantu upaya keberlanjutan dan menjaga lingkungan yang lebih bersih dan sehat.
