Abstract

Pada abad 21 ini, proses pembelajaran diharapkan mengembangkan empat kemampuan yaitu 4C (Critical thinking,Communication, Collaboration, Creativity). Pembelajaran abad 21 ini sudah diadaptasi dalam sistem pendidikan di Indonesia melalui Kurikulum 2013 dan disempurnakan dalam kurikulum merdeka. Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka (IKM) menekankan pada pembelajaran yang nyaman, mandiri, aktif, memiliki karakter, bermakna, merdeka dan lain-lain. Guru memiliki kebebasan dalam menentukan perangkat ajar yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan dan minat belajar peserta didik. Fenomena yang muncul kurikulum merdeka belum dapat terimplementasikan oleh guru-guru PAI SD. Guru-guru PAI di KKG Lubung Kilangan masih mengalami kesusahan dalam memahami Materi Esensial dan Pembelajaran bermakna serta pelaksanaan proyek profil Pancasila. Pada mitra pengabdian ini ditemui permasalahan utama yang relevan dengan penjelasan diatas. Dua permasalahan utama mitra pengabdian ini adalah sebagai berikut: pertama, bagaimana Implementasi kurikulum merdeka dalam bentuk model pembelajaran berdiferensiasi dan materi esensial. Kedua, bagaimana Implementasi proyek profil Pancasila dalam pembelajaran PAI. Dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan mitra tersebut, pengabdi menawarkan solusi dengan mengadakan Bimbingan Teknis Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka dalam Pembelajaran PAI SD di KKG PAI Kecamatan Lubuk Kilangan Kota Padang. Pembinaan diadakan dengan beberapa tahapan; Pertama, tahapan ekspektasi. Kedua, tahapan Internalisasi. Ketiga, tahapan Aktualisasi. Keempat, tahapan evaluasi dan keberlanjutan. Bimbingan teknis menggunakan metode Presentasi, Brainstroming, Diskusi, Workshop, Praktek dan Projek e-modul secara mandiri.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the factors contributing to students’ difficulties in classroom management during the Praktik Lapangan Kependidikan (PLK), a phenomenon that significantly impacts the effectiveness of teaching and the readiness of pre-service teachers in real classroom settings. The objective is to investigate the challenges faced by students of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) Study Program at Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP) in fulfilling pedagogical, professional, personal, and social competencies during the PLK period of July–December 2024. This research employed a qualitative case study approach, involving participants selected through purposive sampling based on their experiences in managing classroom-related challenges. Data were collected through preliminary questionnaires, structured interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The findings reveal both internal and external barriers affecting the four core areas of teacher competence. Internal barriers include limited understanding of student characteristics, difficulties in applying theory to practice, low communication and motivational skills, and weaknesses in classroom management and learning assessment. External barriers include limited preparation time, insufficient practical coursework, lack of professional guidance, restricted access to ICT, and challenges in school adaptation and collaboration. The study concludes that a reformulation of PLK preparation and mentoring strategies is essential to strengthen students’ professional readiness. The implications include the need to enhance practice-oriented curriculum, improve field supervision quality, and develop training grounded in real classroom contexts to foster comprehensive competence among novice teachers.

Abstract

The implementation of informal religious education such as the Taman Pendidikan al-Qur’an (TPA) for early childhood in Gang Bendi, Bukittinggi City, reflects a concerning condition, where religious educational activities have ceased due to the absence of child participation. This is especially troubling given the vital role of TPA in shaping children's character and morals from an early age. This study aims to describe the community’s socio-religious conditions, explore public perceptions of the urgency of Islamic Religious Education for young children, and analyze the opportunities and challenges in its implementation. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, using purposive sampling to select ten informants relevant to the study’s focus. The findings indicate that the low participation of early childhood children in TPA is influenced by weak socio-religious conditions and a limited perception of the importance of religious education. Key challenges identified include inadequate facilities and infrastructure. The study concludes that raising community awareness and encouraging active involvement in voicing educational needs to the government are critical factors in revitalizing effective Islamic education in Gang Bendi. These findings underscore the importance of strengthening collaboration between the community and government in supporting early childhood religious education.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the limited research on the role of Islamic Education (PAI) teachers in fostering students’ discipline in religious practices within the school environment, despite its significant impact on the development of students' religious character. The purpose of this study is to describe the role of PAI teachers in teaching, cultivating awareness of, and supervising the implementation of congregational Zuhur prayer among students at SMP Negeri 5 Sungai Limau. A qualitative method with a phenomenological approach was employed, involving 165 students and teachers as participants. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed descriptively. The findings reveal that PAI teachers play a role in three main aspects: first, teaching prayer discipline through direct instruction and role modeling; second, fostering religious awareness through motivation and spiritual habituation; and third, monitoring discipline by recording attendance and applying sanctions for non-compliance. These findings support Thomas Lickona’s character education theory, which comprises moral knowing, moral feeling, and moral action. The study concludes that the success of cultivating students’ discipline in worship is highly influenced by the consistency, exemplary conduct, and humanistic approach of PAI teachers. The implications include a theoretical contribution to the literature on character education based on religiosity, as well as practical recommendations for schools and parents to strengthen synergy in creating a supportive worship environment. This study also opens avenues for further research on the influence of social environment and family roles in shaping students’ religious discipline.

Abstract

The phenomenon of learning difficulties in Islamic Religious Education (IRE) subjects remains under-researched, despite its significant impact on students’ academic achievement. This study aims to identify the types of learning difficulties encountered, analyze their causal factors, and examine the IRE learning process in Grade XI Phase F at SMAN 3 Lubuk Basung. A qualitative case study approach was employed, involving 28 purposively selected students. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, and analyzed thematically. The findings reveal that students primarily struggle with memorizing ayat and understanding content that requires critical thinking skills. Contributing factors include low learning motivation, lack of parental support, and limited learning facilities. These findings reinforce the relevance of constructivist theory, which emphasizes the need to align teaching methods with students’ characteristics. The study concludes that adaptive learning strategies and a supportive learning environment are essential. Its implications contribute to theoretical discourse and offer practical recommendations for schools and educators to enhance the quality of IRE instruction, while also paving the way for future research on technology-based interventions or targeted support programs for students experiencing learning difficulties.

Abstract

Setiap model yang diterapkan dalam pendidikan pasti memiliki inovasi yang mempengaruhi tujuan yang ingin di capai. banyak cara yang dilakukan oleh setiap muslim untuk mendekatkan diri kepada Allah, salah satunya dengan pelaksanaan pendidikan spiritual dalam tarekat naqsabandiyah yang biasa dilaksanakan di Surau. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatahui bagaimana pelaksanaan pendidikan spiritual dalam tarekat naqsabandiyah di Surau Bateh Kenagarian Taeh Baruah. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan metode etnografi. Sumber data dari penelitian ini adalah Mursyid, Khalifah, dan salah satu murid dari Surau Bateh. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Seluruh hasil wawancara kemudian dianalisis secara sistematis melalui empat langkah kegiatan analisis yaitu pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwasanya pelaksanaan pendidikan spiritual dalam tarekat naqsabandiyah di mulai dengan bai’at yang tata cara di bimbing langsung Mursyid. Selanjutnya Murid akan melalui beberapa tahapan dengan tujuan mendekatkan diri kepada Allah Swt.

Abstract

Rendahnya kualitas guru di Indonesia mengindikasikan bahwa program pengembangan profesionalisme guru yang ada saat ini belum mencapai bentuk yang ideal. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana program kampus mengajar dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan profesionalisme guru prajabatan guna menjembatani kesenjangan antara teori dan praktik. Pertanyaan wawancara terbuka digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dari sebelas guru prajabatan, dua pengawas, dan dua kepala sekolah yang terlibat dalam program kampus mengajar dengan penempatan pengalaman profesional selama tiga bulan di sekolah dasar yang tersebar di seluruh Indonesia. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis data tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun program kampus mengajar mengalami berbagai tantangan, program ini dapat digunakan oleh para guru prajabatan untuk meningkatkan profesionalisme mereka dengan berbagi dan menerima pengalaman. Program kampus mengajar menawarkan pengalaman nyata dan otentik bagi para guru prajabatan dalam membimbing siswa, melaksanakan berbagai tugas administratif, dan belajar di tempat kerja, sehingga mereka memiliki pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang realitas kehidupan sekolah.

Abstract

Islamic education comprises three main aspects: aqidah (creed), ibadah (worship), and akhlak (morality). These aspects form the foundation of Silek Tuo, a traditional martial art of Minangkabau. However, over time, the Islamic educational values within Silek Tuo have begun to fade. One contributing factor is the declining presence of tua silek (elder masters), leading to a disruption in the transmission of these values to future generations. Additionally, Silek Tuo has lost its appeal among the community, particularly among the youth, who tend to prefer foreign martial arts such as taekwondo, karate, judo, kung fu, and others. These martial arts prioritize competition over the understanding and internalization of the values inherent in Silek Tuo. Another factor is the diminishing love for ancestral culture, resulting in the loss of regional identity, especially in Minangkabau. Consequently, the dakwah (Islamic propagation) values within Silek Tuo are not being effectively conveyed.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the limited research on the implementation of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model in the context of Islamic Education (PAI), despite the fact that low student participation in PAI classes significantly affects learning outcomes. The purpose of this study is to analyze the implementation of the Jigsaw model in enhancing student learning activity and its impact on cognitive, affective, and psychomotor learning outcomes in PAI subject in Class X-E1 at SMAN 2 Lubuk Alung. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method with an intrinsic single case study design. Participants included the PAI teacher and students of Class X-E1, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through participatory observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using an interactive analysis model involving data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the implementation of the Jigsaw model, conducted with thorough planning and consistent teacher guidance, was able to improve student learning activity and achieve a learning mastery rate of up to 65%. These findings reinforce the theory that social interaction and individual accountability within groups support learning effectiveness. The main conclusion highlights the critical role of the teacher’s adaptive function as a facilitator in optimizing student collaboration through the Jigsaw model. The implications include theoretical contributions to the literature on collaborative-based PAI learning and practical recommendations for teachers to improve the quality of planning and implementation of cooperative learning.

Abstract

This article focuses on development plans through education and local wisdom in the Mandeh Tourism Area, South Pesisir Regency, Indonesia. The research methods used in this study were desk study, participatory qualitative method through focus group discussions (FGD), and direct observation at the research site. The results of this study describe several points, namely: an analysis of the empowerment and local wisdom of the Mandeh Nagari community, and an analysis of the development potential of the Mandeh Tourism Area. The recommendation from this study is that education and empowerment of local wisdom are very strategic in encouraging the growth and sustainability of the Mandeh area as a leading tourist destination that provides greater benefits in terms of culture and economic perspective and must involve the active participation of the community, the private sector, the central government, the regional government, and the Nagari government.
