Abstract

The advancement of information technology has brought significant changes to library management, shifting from conventional systems toward the Smart Library concept, which is more modern, efficient, and interactive. This study aims to implement fast-scanning technology based on QR Code and RFID in the management system for book collections, borrowing, and returning processes at SMK Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan. The research adopts a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the prototyping model, which includes stages of needs analysis, system design, implementation, and limited testing within the school environment. The implementation results show an increase in library service efficiency by up to 65% compared to the manual method, along with a reduction in recording errors and improved convenience for students in locating and borrowing books. Therefore, the application of a Smart Library system utilizing fast-scanning technology has proven to be effective and feasible as an innovative digital solution to support the transformation of library services in vocational schools

Abstract

The rapid growth of e-commerce and the popularity of live commerce have created a new competitive landscape for marketplaces in Indonesia, necessitating a deeper understanding of the factors that drive consumer purchase intention. This study aims to analyze the influence of two key elements: Streamer Credibility (the human element) and Interactive Features (the technological element) on Consumer Purchase Intention within the context of live shopping. This study employs a quantitative approach using a survey method, with data collected via an online questionnaire from 100 respondents who are active users of live shopping features on marketplace applications in Indonesia. Data were analyzed using path analysis with Smart-PLS software. The findings reveal that Interactive Features have a strong, significant, and positive influence on Consumer Purchase Intention (path coefficient = 0.730; T-statistic = 10.134). Conversely, and contrary to common assumptions, Streamer Credibility was found to have no significant direct influence on Purchase Intention (path coefficient = 0.006; T-statistic = 0.056). However, the study also found that Interactive Features significantly and positively influence Streamer Credibility perception. The study concludes that the technological aspect (Interactive Features) plays a more dominant role than the human aspect (Streamer Credibility) in directly driving consumer purchase intention within the live commerce ecosystem. This implies that for business practitioners, the main priority should be investing in a seamless and engaging interactive experience as a key strategy to boost sales.

Abstract

The halal cosmetics industry is experiencing rapid growth, driven by increasing consumer awareness, particularly among Millennial and Gen Z consumers. This study aims to present a holistic analysis of the factors driving consumer purchase intention towards halal cosmetics in North Sumatra and to formulate the strategies implemented by producers in response to market dynamics. Employing an explanatory sequential mixed-methods design, the research combines a quantitative survey of 400 Millennial and Gen Z respondents with qualitative in-depth interviews with seven industry stakeholders. The quantitative analysis utilized Partial Least Squares-based Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), while the qualitative analysis employed thematic analysis. The results from the structural model analysis demonstrate that consumer purchase intention is strongly and directly influenced by two core psychological pillars: attitude toward halal products and consumer trust, with the model's predictive power reaching 72.4%. Positive attitude is significantly shaped by the individual's level of religiosity and adequate halal knowledge. Trust, conversely, is cultivated by consumer perception of product quality, positive brand image, and the formal assurance of halal certification. A crucial finding confirms that the influence of product quality and brand image on purchase intention is fully mediated by the trust variable. Halal cosmetic producers in North Sumatra acknowledge the dual market demands, where halal certification is a basic prerequisite, while superior product quality is a competitive necessity. Furthermore, digital marketing via influencers and electronic word-of-mouth (e-WOM) is highly effective in building brand image, yet it does not directly foster deep trust, indicating the fragility of digital reputation if not supported by strong product substance. The most significant operational challenge lies in maintaining the integrity and traceability of the halal supply chain from upstream to downstream. The main conclusion of this study is that success in the modern halal cosmetics market demands an integrated strategy that moves beyond regulatory compliance, focusing consistently on enhancing product quality and supply chain transparency to build authentic and sustainable consumer trust.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze and determine the impact related to the international conflict that occurred in the Middle East between the State of Israel and Palestine on the economic and business sectors in Indonesia. The many products and companies from the United States operating in Indonesia have become the target of anger among the Indonesian people due to rumors stating that the United States is the mastermind behind the conflict. The cause of this issue resulted in many calls for a boycott of products and companies originating from the United States, causing various problems in terms of company income and the fate of the employees who worked at the company. Of course, if these American products are boycotted by the Indonesian people, the company's sales will decrease, causing company losses which will also have an impact on reducing operational costs which will result in a reduction in workforce at each company so that it could become a new problem for Indonesia which causing the unemployment rate to increase due to this problem.
