Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan melihat pengaruh metode Latihan interval berbasis media bola terhadap kemampuan daya tahan pemain Taluk FC Ku 14-17. Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah masih kurangnya kemampuan daya tahan pemain Taluk FC Ku 14-17. Pada penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Populasi pada pemain Taluk Fc sebanyak 82 orang. Teknik penarikan sampel yaitu purposive sampling, dimana pengambilan sampel yang ditetapkan adalah pemain Taluk FC Ku 14-17 tahun dengan jumlah 30 orang terdaftar. Sedangkan yang aktif mengikuti latihan dan sudah pernah mengikuti tournament yang berjumlah 22 orang. Instrument penelitian menggunakan Yo-Yo Intermittent Recovery Test. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji-t dengan taraf signifikan ɑ=0,05 dan uji normalitas menggunakan liliefors. Dari hasil hipotesis dan pembahasan hasil penelitian dapat di tarik kesimpulan bahwa terdapat pengaruh metode latihan interval berbasis media bola terhadap kemampuan daya tahan pemain Taluk FC Ku 14-17. Hal tersebut ditandai pada hasil rata-rata tes awal sebesar 43 sedangkan hasil tes akhir terjadi peningkatan menjadi 47. Sehingga dapat diartikan bahwa perlakuan pemberian latihan melalui bentuk-bentuk metode latihan interval berbasis media bola yang diberikan berdasarkan program latihan yang telah disetujui dapat memberikan pengaruh yang baik terhadap kemampuan daya tahan pemain Taluk FC Ku 14-17. Abstract

Study purpose. Crescent kick performance is essential in pencak silat, yet limited evidence exists on how speed, flexibility, and leg muscle explosive power interact to determine this skill among young athletes, particularly given the suboptimal achievement in Kabupaten Pelalawan at the POPDA competition. This research examines the direct and indirect influences of these three biomotor components on crescent kick proficiency among young athletes aged 14-17 years in Pangkalan Kerinci District. Materials and methods. A quantitative approach with path analysis design was employed. The study population comprised 44 young pencak silat athletes aged 14 - 17 years in Pangkalan Kerinci District using saturated sampling. Data collection utilized a 30 meter sprint test, front split test, standing long jump test, and 10 second repetitive kicking test. Data analysis used Jamovi version 2.6.44. Results. Speed directly influenced crescent kick ability (0.657; p<0.001). Flexibility also demonstrated a direct effect (0.281; p<0.001). Leg muscle explosive power showed a direct effect (0.332; p<0.001). Speed exhibited an indirect effect through leg muscle explosive power (31.1%; p<0.001), while flexibility demonstrated a stronger indirect effect (63.4%; p<0.001). All three variables simultaneously influenced crescent kick ability (F=320; p<0.001; R²=0.960). The main strength is the use of path analysis, while the limitation is the cross-sectional design and 4% unexplained variance. Conclusions. Speed, flexibility, and leg muscle explosive power significantly affect crescent kick ability. Leg muscle explosive power functions as a partial mediator, particularly dominant in the flexibility crescent kick relationship. The theoretical implication enriches sports science knowledge regarding mediation mechanisms. Practically, training programs should integrate these three components systematically. Future experimental research is recommended to test training program effectiveness and consider additional factors such as coordination, balance, and psychological aspects.

Abstract

Soccer is a high-intensity intermittent sport characterized by repeated efforts of sprinting, jumping, and rapid directional changes, demanding highly developed anaerobic capacities. Despite growing scholarly interest in anaerobic training for soccer players, the diversity of training modalities, populations, and outcome measures has precluded definitive conclusions regarding optimal training configurations. This systematic review aimed to synthesize the available scientific evidence on the effects of anaerobic training interventions on physical performance outcomes in soccer players. Following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) 2020 guidelines (Page et al., 2021), a comprehensive search was conducted on the Scopus database, yielding an initial pool of 931 records. After removing 15 duplicate records, 237 records were screened based on title and abstract, of which 174 were excluded. Of the 63 full-text articles assessed for eligibility, 41 were further excluded due to irrelevant study designs, non-intervention nature, or populations outside the scope. Consequently, 22 studies published between 2021 and 2025 were included in the final synthesis. The findings indicate that sprint interval training, plyometric training, and combined anaerobic training programs significantly improve repeated sprint ability, sprint speed, explosive power, and change-of-direction performance in soccer players across various age groups and competitive levels. High-intensity interval training emerges as an effective and versatile approach when individualized according to training frequency, intensity, and recovery parameters. These results have important implications for sports scientists and coaches in designing evidence-based anaerobic conditioning programs. Future research should prioritize female populations, long-term follow-up assessments, and training periodization frameworks.

Abstract

Football is the most widely practised team sport in Southeast Asia, yet regional teams continue to underperform relative to international benchmarks, and the physical fitness evidence underpinning player development remains fragmented across countries and competitive tiers. This systematic review synthesises how physical fitness has been characterised among football players in Southeast Asia and how the reported profiles differ across competitive levels. The review followed the PRISMA 2020 framework. A Boolean search of Scopus using TITLE-ABS-KEY, combining football, physical fitness and Southeast Asian country terms, retrieved 4,122 records. Eligibility was restricted to English-language journal articles published in final stage between 2021 and 2025 that reported at least one standardised physical fitness outcome for football players sampled in a Southeast Asian country; reviews, non-player populations and studies without fitness outcomes were excluded. After duplicate removal, filtering and screening, 53 reports were assessed in full text and 22 studies were included. Aerobic capacity and linear speed dominated the evidence base, whereas flexibility, balance and anaerobic power were rarely profiled, and professional and female cohorts were markedly underrepresented. The findings support level-specific testing batteries and a harmonised regional normative database, and future work should prioritise longitudinal, cross-level and female-focused designs.

Abstract

The problem addressed in this study is the still-low level of kicking and striking coordination. This condition is evident in the suboptimal coordination of movements when performing combinations of kicking and striking techniques. This study aims to determine the effect of plyometric training on kicking and striking coordination abilities among students in the pencak silat extracurricular program at MAN 3 Padang. This study employed a quasi-experimental method using a one-group (pre-test) -(post-test) design. The sample consisted of 10 students selected using purposive sampling. The instrument used was a test of kicking and striking coordination ability. The results showed that the mean (pre-test) score of 34.30 increased to 39.60 on the (post-test) , with a mean difference of 5.30. The results of the hypothesis test using Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.001 < 0.05 indicate that plyometric training has a significant effect on the coordination of kicking and striking skills among students in the pencak silat extracurricular program at MAN 3 Kota Padang.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of Reactive Agility and Cone Drill training on dribbling ability among U-14 players of Putra Bumi Serambi Soccer School. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a Two Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample consisted of 20 players divided into two treatment groups, namely Reactive Agility and Cone Drill groups. The instrument used was the Zig-Zag Dribbling Test. Data were analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, Paired Sample t-test, and Independent Sample t-test at a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that Reactive Agility training improved dribbling ability by 6.06%, while Cone Drill training improved dribbling ability by 4.67%. The paired sample t-test indicated that both training methods significantly improved dribbling ability (p<0.05). However, the independent sample t-test showed no significant difference between the two methods (Sig.=0.058>0.05). Therefore, both Reactive Agility and Cone Drill training are effective methods for improving dribbling ability among U-14 soccer players. Football players should gradually integrate Reactive Agility and Cone Drill training into youth development programs to improve players' dribbling skills. Future research is recommended using a larger sample size, longer training duration, and combining both training methods to obtain a more comprehensive picture of effectiveness.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh latihan small-sided games terhadap akurasi passing pemain SSB Cemerlang. Penelitian menggunakan eksperimen semu dengan rancangan one-group pretest-posttest. Populasi berjumlah 65 pemain, sedangkan sampel 20 pemain kelompok usia U14–U17 dipilih melalui purposive sampling. Perlakuan dilaksanakan dalam 16 pertemuan, empat kali setiap minggu, dengan variasi situasi menang jumlah, sama jumlah, dan kalah jumlah. Akurasi passing diukur menggunakan tes short pass yang memiliki validitas 0,66 dan reliabilitas 0,69. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif, uji Shapiro–Wilk, uji Levene, dan uji-t sampel berpasangan pada taraf signifikansi 0,05. Rerata skor meningkat dari 52,70 ± 4,34 pada pretest menjadi 60,05 ± 5,54 pada posttest, dengan peningkatan rerata 7,35 poin. Hasil uji menunjukkan t(19) = 5,279; p < 0,001, interval kepercayaan 95% 4,44–10,26, dan ukuran efek dz = 1,18. Dengan demikian, latihan small-sided games memberikan pengaruh positif yang besar terhadap peningkatan akurasi passing pemain SSB Cemerlang

Abstract

The meeting point of artificial intelligence and wearable sensing has quietly reshaped precision sport psychology. Athletes can now be monitored continuously, with cognitive and emotional states tracked at the individual level, something traditional self-report methods never quite captured. Yet the evidence on how AI actually turns physiological signals into psychological insight is scattered across sport science, engineering, and digital health. This systematic review follows the PRISMA 2020 framework to pull that evidence together. A structured Scopus search returned 112 records published between 2020 and 2025. After duplicates were removed and screening ran in two stages, 74 studies fell away at the title-and-abstract stage and 28 more after full-text assessment. That left 10 studies for qualitative synthesis, with 40 contextual records supporting the analysis. Eligible studies had to involve athlete populations, wearable physiological sensing, AI or machine-learning techniques, and psychological, cognitive, or affective outcomes. Three themes stood out. Electroencephalography combined with deep learning dominates cognitive-state classification. Multimodal integration of cardiac, electrodermal, muscular, and respiratory signals supports emotion and stress recognition. And telling psychological stress apart from physical stress remains the core methodological hurdle. What the evidence shows is that personalized, real-time psychological feedback is technically within reach, but it is still held back by small samples, laboratory settings, and limited external validation. Future work should push toward ecologically valid field studies, standardized labeling of psychological states, explainable AI models, and stronger data privacy for athletes. That is the path to real deployment in competitive sport.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the physical condition of students in the Basic Tarung Derajat learning process at the Faculty of Sport Science, Universitas Negeri Padang. This research is a descriptive study with a sample of 30 students determined using the total sampling technique. The research instruments used were the Agility T-Test, Push-Up Test, 30-Meter Sprint, Bleep Test, and Standing Broad Jump. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics in the form of frequencies and percentages. The results showed that agility fell into the moderate category with a percentage of 33.33%, arm muscle strength fell into the good category with a percentage of 36.67%, speed fell into the moderate category with a percentage of 36.67%, endurance fell into the moderate category with a percentage of 43.33%, and explosive power fell into the moderate category with a percentage of 40.00%. Overall, the physical condition of students in the Basic Tarung Derajat learning process was in the moderate category. Based on these findings, it is recommended that students engage in regular physical conditioning exercises, and that lecturers or coaches design more targeted training programs to improve students' physical abilities. Abstract

Small-sided games, or SSGs, have become a mainstay of modern soccer coaching, yet the field is still fragmented when it comes to how task constraints translate into actual performance. This systematic review set out to synthesise the evidence on how pitch size, player number, and game format influence the physical, physiological, and technical-tactical performance of soccer players, and to pinpoint which design characteristics are most useful for development. The review followed the PRISMA 2020 framework, using a structured Boolean search of Scopus restricted to title, abstract, and keywords. The search turned up 843 records. After removing 15 duplicates, 828 records were screened, 42 full-text reports were assessed for eligibility, and 18 studies ultimately met all the inclusion criteria. Every included study was appraised with the Mixed Methods Appraisal Tool, and the findings were integrated through thematic synthesis. The evidence pointed in a fairly consistent direction: larger pitches and greater area per player amplify locomotor and physiological demand, whereas smaller formats increase technical-action density and neuromuscular load. Bout duration, player number, and rule constraints also modulated internal load and decision-making. For practitioners, the review clarifies dose-response relationships, highlights maturation and playing level as moderating factors, and lays out priorities for standardised, longitudinal, and sex-balanced research.
