Abstract

This study aims to analyze risk management strategies for non-performing financing (NPF) at BMT Nusantara Capem Sempu from a maqasid syariah perspective. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews and direct observation, and analyzed using SWOT analysis. The findings indicate that NPF arises from internal factors (weaknesses in feasibility analysis and post-disbursement monitoring) and external factors (economic instability among clients in the agricultural and trade sectors). Implemented strategies include preventive measures (strict feasibility analysis, prudential principles, and customer education) and curative actions (financing restructuring, persuasive collection, and collateral execution as a last resort). A key finding is that managerial decisions integrate financial, social, and religious values within the maqasid syariah framework. This integrated approach has proven effective in reducing NPF, enhancing member trust, and ensuring operational sustainability.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the financial health of PT Asuransi Takaful Keluarga for the 2025 period. The research novelty lies in integrating Risk-Based Capital (RBC) and Early Warning System (EWS) methods to comprehensively capture the solvency and operational performance of Islamic insurance. Using a descriptive-quantitative approach, secondary data from audited 2025 financial statements were analyzed based on OJK Regulation No. 71/POJK.05/2016. The findings indicate a highly healthy financial condition; RBC ratios for both Tabarru' and Corporate Funds are well above the regulatory minimum, supported by liquid and productive EWS indicators. However, over-capitalization is identified in the Corporate Fund due to conservative governance, and the Tabarru' Fund claim ratio approaches the ideal threshold. This study implies that the industry should optimize capital allocation and mitigate underwriting deficits, while providing regulators a reference to refine risk-based supervisory parameters in Islamic insurance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the soundness level of PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia Tbk. in 2025 using the Risk-Based Bank Rating (RBBR) method with the RGEC approach (Risk Profile, Good Corporate Governance, Earnings, Capital) and to identify the factors driving the disparity between capital strength and profitability. A quantitative descriptive method with a single case study design was employed. Data were sourced from 2025 audited financial reports and analyzed through NPF, FDR, ROA, BOPO, and CAR ratios, complemented by a qualitative GCG score review in accordance with SEOJK No. 6/SEOJK.03/2015. Findings reveal that Bank Muamalat achieved a Composite Rating of 2 (PK-2), classified as "Healthy". While the risk profile (NPF 2.34%, FDR 82%) and capital (CAR 26.37%) were exceptionally robust, profitability remained a critical concern with ROA at 0.3% and BOPO at 105%, indicating structural operational inefficiency. The study concludes that an "overcapitalization" phenomenon exists, where excessive capital strength has not translated into earnings efficiency, reflecting a potential agency problem. Practical recommendations include accelerating digitalization to reduce BOPO and optimizing capital allocation toward productive financing, such as the "Solusi Emas Hijrah" product, to enhance profitability aligned with maqasid shariah principles.

Abstract

: This study aims to analyze the soundness level of PT Bank Mega Syariah Tbk during the fiscal years 2024 to 2025 employing the RGEC method, encompassing Risk Profile, Good Corporate Governance, Earnings, and Capital. The soundness of Islamic banking constitutes a critical issue given the industry's sustained growth amidst increasingly complex economic challenges. This research addresses the analytical void concerning the bank's health assessment for 2025, which remains unexplored in prior studies, while simultaneously updating previous findings through newly published audited financial statements. The study adopts a descriptive quantitative approach utilizing secondary data derived from the audited annual financial reports for the 2024-2025 period. The analytical procedure involves computing financial ratios across each RGEC component, subsequently comparing the results against the composite rating criteria established by the financial services authority. The findings reveal that Bank Mega Syariah attained Composite Rating 1 with a very healthy predicate in 2024, subsequently shifting to Composite Rating 2 with a healthy predicate in 2025. This transitional shift is attributable to the increase in the Financing to Deposit Ratio exceeding the upper threshold of the very healthy category, while other indicators consistently maintained their ratings. This study confirms that the financial fundamentals of Bank Mega Syariah remain robust and resilient amidst the ongoing financing expansion strategy.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the marketing strategy of the Simpanan Hari Raya product at BMT Al-Yaman Sambimulyo Branch using the Segmenting, Targeting, Positioning (STP) and SWOT frameworks. A qualitative case study approach was employed, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that the product is marketed through personal selling, door-to-door services, service excellence, and social media. The STP analysis reveals that market segmentation encompasses geographic, demographic, psychographic, and behavioral characteristics, with the primary targets being BMT members, market traders, micro, small, medium-sized enterprises, and housewives. The product is positioned as a secure, accessible, and beneficial Islamic savings product based on the wadiah yad dhamanah contract, flexible deposits, no administrative fees, and parcel incentives. The SWOT analysis places BMT Al-Yaman in a strategic position that favors an aggressive strategy by leveraging internal strengths to capitalize on external opportunities. Key strategic priorities include strengthening service quality and product differentiation, expanding digital and community-based promotion, enhancing customer education, and developing employees’ digital marketing competencies. Integrating personalized and digital marketing approaches is therefore essential to expanding market reach, strengthening customer trust, and sustaining member loyalty.

Abstract

Introduction: hrough this research, the researchers plan to critically examine how power is distributed and whether there is a possibility of exploitation from within the ethnic-economic system in Banyuwangi Osing village community, where Islam and local wisdom interact very much. However, the past works have mainly gloriated local wisdom as if there is no structural injustice embedded in it. Methods: Employing an ethnographic design in the Glagah and Licin Districts, this research involved 28 key informants (customary leaders, women, farmers, philanthropic managers, and government officials) through snowball sampling. Data from triangulated in-depth interviews, participant observation, and FGDs were systematically analysed using Braun and Clarke's six-phase thematic analysis. Results: Interpretations via Maqasid al-Shari'ah show that the inclusion of Islamic ethics (direct zakat, the concept of "Apik/Becik", food barns, and paron) on one hand lowers transaction costs but on the other hand continues the unequal power structure. The three main elements (local production, kinship institutions, and kyai-customary leadership) are controlled predominantly by landowners and local elite. Disadvantaged groups (e.g. farm laborers, widows, persons with disabilities) as well as women are subject to structural subordination and social exclusion as a result of the dominant patriarchical hegemony. Conclusion and suggestion: The Osing ethno-economic system possesses robust community-based food resilience, yet its distributive justice is impeded by the dependency of vulnerable groups upon elites. This study concludes by emphasising the necessity of deconstructing asymmetric power relations and strengthening inclusive local institutions, rather than naively promoting the local model to a national scale.
