Abstract

Gunung Badak Complex is located in Ciletuh Palabuhanratu UNESCO Global Geopark, which preserves significant records of tectonic evolution in Southern West Java. This research aims to characterize igneous rocks and interpret tectonic implications. The methodology includes petrographic analysis, major element geochemical characterization using X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF), and trace elements and Rare Earth Element (REE) analysis using Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) from 8 selected samples. The results identify three distinct rock groups consisting of diorite (SiO 51.5-52.48%), basalt (SiO 50.69-52.52%), and serpentinized peridotite (SiO 40.59%, MgO 34.63%). Diorite and basalt exhibit tholeiitic affinity with low KO (0.25-0.69%), Mg# 49.67-58.13, indicating early-stage island arc magmatism. Serpentinized peridotite exhibits residual harzburgite characteristics with Mg# 89.29. Trace element geochemistry shows enrichment of LILE (Cs, Ba, Pb, Sr) relative to HFSE (Nb, Zr), with negative Nb-Ta anomalies and La/Nb ratios of 2.21-3.75 typical of subduction environments. Diorite-basalt displays moderate LREE enrichment ((La/Yb)N 1.40-2.63), while serpentinized peridotite shows LREE depletion ((La/Yb)N 0.54). Dy/Yb ratios (1.20-1.91) indicate magma sources from partial melting of spinel peridotite at depths 50 km. The geodynamic model indicates that serpentinized peridotite originated from lithospheric mantle in a supra-subduction zone (SSZ) environment during Eocene subduction initiation, while diorite and basalt formed during early Miocene island arc magmatism (~22 Ma).

Abstract

Developing sustainable tourism necessitates innovative approaches that integrate environmental conservation, community engagement, and effective knowledge transfer. This study investigates the power of storytelling and knowledge management as catalysts for social transformation within educational tourism along Indonesia's highly polluted Citarum River. Using a mixed-methods approach, the research collected quantitative data from 79 university students via questionnaires assessing their knowledge and perceptions of the Citarum River and sustainable tourism. Qualitative data came from a content analysis of "Menjaga Citarum" (Preserving Citarum) educational materials, which wove together historical narratives, ecological facts, and local cultural values. The findings reveal that storytelling, when combined with direct environmental action and participatory learning, significantly boosts students' environmental awareness and emotional engagement. Participants showed a greater understanding of pollution issues and a stronger commitment to sustainable behavior, highlighting the importance of community-based knowledge systems. This study demonstrates how local narratives and experiential learning can foster ecological responsibility and social engagement, offering practical guidance for impactful educational tourism programs.

Abstract

This study aims to provide an overview of how public value research topics developed from 2001 to 2020. The mapping is expected to provide an overview of the development of research and provide input on the topic of public value research. This study uses the Scopus database from 2001 to 2020 to calculate citation analysis using the Publish or Perish (PoP) application and mapping publications using the VOSViewer application. From the analysis of literature studies based on the Scopus database from 2001 to 2020 272 journal articles are discussing public value research, it was found that the most publications were in 2019 (47 publications) and the highest research was dominated by the United Kingdom (65). For the highest number of citations, the publication with the title "From new public management to public value: Paradigmatic change and managerial implications" was 368 citations. Social science subjects are the most discussed in research on public values. The results of the visualization with the VOSViewer application for a public value research network visualization map are divided into 4 clusters. Density visualization maps can be seen that research on the topic of public value with the subject of performance management and cultural policy is still small, so there is still a chance for research. Based on the analysis of the research topic of public value, there is still a large enough opportunity for research to be carried out, especially in Indonesia based on the Scopus database, researchers have not researched the topic of public value research.

Abstract

This study explores how Instagram is utilized as a strategic communication tool to campaign for environmental engagement, specifically in promoting river cleanup initiatives among youth audiences. By employing a quantitative content analysis of eleven Instagram posts related to river cleanup efforts conducted between December 2024 and June 2025, we examine audience interaction metrics such as views, reach, likes, and engagement across different age groups. The findings highlight that the 18–34 age demographic is the most responsive to environmental messaging on social media, accounting for over 70% of total engagement. Posts featuring direct community involvement, promotional content, and educational messaging were identified as key content pillars driving higher interaction rates. These pillars demonstrate the importance of message framing in digital environmental advocacy. The study affirms Instagram’s potential as an effective platform for fostering eco-conscious behavior and youth participation through visual storytelling and targeted communication strategies.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Ciliang Village has tourism potential, namely nature, culture, and cuisine. One of the famous there is Batu Hiu Beach. However, this potential has not been explored optimally, as can be seen from the status of the developing village index in 2022 which still has the title "Developing". This research was conducted to identify the potential of the Ciliang Village area and determine a strategy for developing a potential tourist attraction. This research was conducted in the Ciliang Village Tourism Area, Parigi District, Pangandaran Regency. Data collection was carried out through interviews and observations then supported by the results of the documentation. Data and information are described descriptively. Based on the results of field observations and in-depth interviews, the strategy for developing tourist attractions by implementing the CBT concept can be started by conducting counseling and introducing the CBT concept, its benefits, and its impacts. This counseling can begin to be socialized to the closest stakeholders such as Pokdarwis and will then be disseminated to the surrounding community. Hopefully, with this development strategy, the Batu Hiu Beach tourist area can increase tourist visits.

Abstract

The development of tourism villages is a key strategy for local economic growth, yet many fail to progress beyond their initial designation due to a lack of stakeholder synergy. This study addresses this implementation gap by analyzing the roles and collaborative dynamics of stakeholders in Cilengkrang Village, a nascent tourism destination in Bandung Regency, Indonesia. Utilizing the Pentahelix framework—which comprises government, business, academia, community, and media—this research aims to diagnose the foundational barriers hindering its development. A qualitative descriptive method was employed, gathering data through in-depth interviews, passive participatory observation, and document analysis, which were then triangulated to ensure validity. The findings reveal a fractured collaborative framework where stakeholder roles are underdeveloped and poorly integrated. The government's top-down designation has not been matched by bottom-up community activation, evidenced by the absence of a formal Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis). The business, academic, and media helices are found to be either disconnected from the tourism sector or entirely absent. This study concludes that this stagnation stems from a fundamental deficit in human resource capacity across all five nodes, specifically a lack of tourism-specific knowledge, collaborative skills, and entrepreneurial awareness. Therefore, the primary implication is that foundational human resource development, beginning with the government's facilitation of a community-based tourism institution, is the most critical prerequisite for unlocking the village's potential and building a functional, synergistic Pentahelix model.
