Abstract

Research mapping related to river revitalization has been carried out on areas experiencing severe pollution to provide a roadmap for knowledge and answers to a number of environmental issues surrounding rivers. Therefore, this study aims to map a number of research publications regarding the Citarum River, which is an important area for people in West Java. This river is currently the most polluted in Indonesia, which led to the implementation of the revitalization program initiated by the government known as "Citarum Harum". The bibliometric method was used in this research to determine annual trends, keywords, field grouping, and location. The results showed a fluctuating increase in the number of research publications on the Citarum River. Furthermore, the mapping results showed that topics, study groups, and locations related to this river were unevenly distributed. These findings indicated the need for coordination from the “Citarum Harum” program coordinator or government to develop a research roadmap and direct the researcher to examine topics and raise issues related to locations that are yet to be studied.

Abstract

The igneous rocks of the Citirem Formation in the Ciletuh – Palabuhanratu UNESCO Global Geopark area petrographically not only consist of basalt, but also andesite, dacite, and gabbro. The characteristics of basalts Citirem Formation are composed of plagioclase 43% – 58% and olivine, mostly have amygdaloidal and aphanitic textures. Andesites are composed of 45% – 65% plagioclase, absence of olivine, mostly aphanitic and trachytic, some have intergranular textures. Dacite comprises 50% plagioclase, 20% quartz, and the absence of olivine, and aphanitic, intersertal textures. Gabbros are composed of 62% plagioclase, 6% – 12% olivine, with phaneritic texture. Based on the plot of the major elements vs SiO2 diagram, MgO, FeOt (Fe2O3+FeO), CaO, and TiO2 show a negative correlation with SiO2. In comparison, Na2O and K2O show a positive correlation with SiO2. The lithology of igneous rocks of Citirem Formation are basalt, trachybasalt, basaltic trachyandesite, trachyandesite, andesite, dacite and gabbro based on a plot of the Na2O+K2O vs SiO2 diagram for volcanic and plutonic rocks. The origin of magma type can be distinguished based on the plot of K2O vs SiO2 diagrams, the igneous rocks of Citirem Formation are divided into low-K, medium-K, high-K, and shoshonite magma series. Dacite STA 2, andesite STA 7, basaltic andesite STA 8, trachyandesite STA 10 and gabbro STA 14 are calc-alkaline based on triangular diagram Th-Hf-Ta-Zr-Nb. Gabbro STA 17 indicates IAT (island arc tholeiite), trachybasalt STA 19, basalt STA 20 and basaltic trachyandesite STA 27 are E-MORB, WPT (within plate tholeiitic), In contrast, trachybasalt STA 28 is WPA (within plate alkali). Primitive mantle long, NMORB-normalized REE patterns and chondrites-normalized show some rocks have distinctive patterns that have similarities with suprasubduction zone ophiolite rocks, MORB of Mirdita ophiolite, and some show similarities with patterns from OIB and E-MORB.

Abstract

Mount Talang is one of the active volcanos in Indonesia, it located at Kayu Aro District, Solok Regency, West Sumatera, Indonesia, and Mount Talang is part of Barisan Mountain and lies at Sumami segment which is part of the active Sumatera Fault. In groundwater flow, a fault zone can act as a sink, or as a barrier, when the fault zone highly permeable in relation to the host rock and the fault zone must trend so as to maximize its effects, preferably parallel with general trend of the groundwater flow. Six explorations well identified at the North West Slope of Mount Talang and only two explorations well productive to be converted as exploitation well, while the others dry. Base on the geological setting, the hypothesis is faults play the role for groundwater flow. Fault occurrence analyzed from the lithology of the Bore Log each well by developed 2D hydrostratigraphic model.  Keywords: Groundwater, Hydrostratigraphy, Borehole, Volcanic.

Abstract

Mining, which involves extracting minerals and utilizing natural resources, requires careful planning to ensure feasibility and safety. A critical aspect of open pit mine design is slope stability, influenced by geological characteristics, slope topography, and groundwater conditions. Slope stability analysis, using methods such as the Limit Equilibrium Method (LEM), which has been popular for decades for its convenience, evaluates the potential for slope failure and provides geometric slope design recommendations to reduce risk, improve operational efficiency, and ensure environmental sustainability. The research was conducted at PT Petrosea Tbk, with the mine site in Sebakis Village, Sebuku Subdistrict, Nunukan Regency, North Kalimantan, PT X region. The research object is a lowwall slope that requires stability analysis to prevent landslides. The slope safety criteria are based on the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Decree No. 1827 K/30/MEM/2018 guidelines, specifically 1.1. To perform the analysis, laboratory test data is required, including rock physical property tests and rock shear strength tests to obtain material property values. This data was then analysed using Rocscience Slide2 software by comparing three methods: Bishop, Janbu, and Morgenstern-Price. The analysis was conducted based on the actual conditions of each slope cut geometry. If the obtained safety factor does not meet the criteria of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Decree No. 1827 K/30/MEM/2018, then designing a geometry of lowwall slope is required. The geometric slope design used on the lowwall slope includes creating benches to flatten the slope level, and installing drain holes to decrease the ground water level.

Abstract

Sports for some people are not only a necessity of daily life but also have been considered a lifestyle. Aside from being a regular alternative to keeping the body fit, it has many other benefits. The rapid development of this lifestyle of sports in urban communities is characterized by the increasing number of community groups that routinely do the type of exercise that can be done in between the limitations of time. Cycling is one of the activities that are much in demand by urbanites, as this type of sport activity gives both convenience and an outlet for an engaging fun. The emergence of cycling groups in urban communities is a reflection of the need for exercise routines that also provides outdoor recreation. There are various kinds of motivations for cyclists, from just wanting to exercise, to travel, to save fuel and avoid traffic, to minimize the effects of air pollution, or to look for new experiences and challenges, including new friendships or as an output of self-actualization. This research uses a qualitative descriptive phenomenological method, as well as a non-random purposive sampling technique on two urban bicycle groups, namely TOC and JGS-SCAM. Data collection was done by using the Google questionnaire application and the data was analyzed interactively by the model of Miles, Huberman, Saldaňa, and the application of second cycle data coding. The questionnaire results obtained were able to classify and characterize the urban cyclists based on their characteristics and motivation, and also determined the strategies for developing urban cyclist tourism by analyzing internal IFAS and external EFAS factors from the motivational characteristics of the urban cyclist, then the strategies were determined by using the SWOT method, ultimately cummulating into plans to develop a cycling tourism for urban communities.

Abstract

West Java region is tectonically active area because it is close to the subduction zone between the Eurasian continental plate with the Indo-Australian oceanic plate. This led to the high intensity of the presence of active faults, either already identified or not. Jatinangor areas as education city is now growing very rapidly filled by a variety of campus facilities. There are four major colleges (UNPAD, ITB, IKOPIN, STPDN) and various supporting infrastructure. With the increasing number of population and limited land can be built, the various geological resources in this area should be managed as well as possible, including land resources as part of the various geological resource potential that can be developed to meet the needs and desires of humans. The existence of various lineament of morphology around the area Jatinangor considered as a continuation of the path which uncategorized Lembang Fault is active. A number of earthquake ever recorded in the past has the epicenter around this fault. This study aims to explain the importance of the identification of active faults in disaster mitigation efforts on the limited land resources but must meet the needs of the growing population. The results showed that there are a number of alignment around G. Manglayang that can be associated with kemenrusan Lembang Fault. At the southern foot of Mt. Manglayang spread a general lineament trending north-south and northwest-southeast which is straightness lembahan and hills. In geomorphological generally show the characteristics of active faults that are vulnerable to earthquake activity. This will limit the different characteristics of land that can be built because it must take into account the values of dynamic bearing capacity as the earthquake disaster mitigation efforts in the future. In addition, it is also necessary mitigation efforts related to disaster education to all stakeholders in the area of research.

Abstract

Geoelectric measurements committed in an attempt to obtain the presence, depth, thickness, number and spread of the aquifer. From the interpretation of Schlumberger geoelectric method (Sounding) acquired seven units of lithology, three units are classified as permeable layer, and four units as impermeable layers. The layer that functions as the aquifer has a resistivity value between 200-400 Ωm which is interpreted as a breccia with component-gravel gravel unit, 100-200 Ωm which is interpreted as breccia matrix supported by granule-sized components peble unit, and 50-100 Ωm which is interpreted as breccia matrix supported with gravel-sized component unit. Distribution of the three rocks in the study area is dominated by a nearly breccia grain supported. While units with resistivity values above 400 Ωm and under 50 Ωm interpeted as an impermeable layer-semipermeable. Faults that developed in the study area has direction a northwest-southeast. Those fault caused the fracture system that developed on volcanic deposits in this area. Therefore the zone bounded by two faults are thought to have better porosity values as the aquifer is supported by fracture with a higher intensity in surrounding area.

Abstract

Abstract

Kabaena Island in Southeast Sulawesi has biodiversity, coastal landscapes, mountains and mineral content as the strength of sustainable development goals number 15 (SDGs 15). Currently, mining activities have had a negative impact on local communities in the economic, social, environmental, sanitation and health sectors due to natural degradation. This research aims to identify the tourism potential of Kabaena Island which can be promoted through digital strategies and design innovative digital marketing strategies to increase exposure of Kabaena Island tourism and support environmental sustainability. This research uses a qualitative descriptive analysis method to collect data using Google Maps analysis. A previous literature review shows that there is still minimal discussion regarding biodiversity and mineral content on Kabaena Island, which discusses the development of tourism destinations. Kabaena Island tourism development requires collaboration between government, academics and local communities to create sustainable development based on SDGs. The focus includes mining governance, creative economy, conservation and education, with digital marketing via Google Maps, destination branding and social media content. Collaboration with travel agents and business partners will support the local economy. Seminars or dissemination on sustainable development are important to strengthen governance and policies that support the community and preserve the environment.
