Abstract

Abstract This study aims to analyze the forms of coordination, the urgency of coordination, the obstacles encountered, and the optimization efforts made by the village government, the Civil Service Police Unit, the police apparatus, and the community in maintaining public order and tranquility in Kraksaan Wetan Village, Probolinggo Regency. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, documentation studies, and focus group discussions. The findings reveal that coordination takes place through vertical and horizontal relationships, routine and incidental meetings, community involvement through neighborhood forums and Community Protection Units, as well as the use of communication technology. This coordination is important for improving supervision effectiveness, reducing overlapping duties, accelerating the handling of social problems, and increasing community participation. The obstacles encountered include limitations in human resources and facilities, differences in perception among personnel, less than optimal community participation, as well as bureaucratic and regulatory hurdles. Optimization efforts are carried out through strengthening regular communication, improving the capacity of apparatus and Community Protection Units, developing information technology, policy advocacy, and cross-sector synergy. Abstract

This study explores nurses’ experiences following patient safety incidents and the implementation of a just culture in mental hospitals from a human resource management perspective. A qualitative phenomenological approach was used through in-depth interviews with 12 nurses and thematic analysis. The findings show that patient safety incidents cause anxiety, guilt, fear, and emotional distress while encouraging professional reflection and increased vigilance. Just culture was perceived as a constructive and non-punitive approach that emphasizes balanced accountability between individual and system factors. Organizational support, workload management, workforce planning, and continuous patient safety training were identified as essential strategies for reducing post-incident impacts. The study concludes that integrating a just culture with human resource management practices supports organizational learning and sustainable patient safety improvement. However, the qualitative design, limited number of participants, and single-hospital setting may restrict generalizability. This study contributes to the understanding of post-incident nursing management through organizational support and learning-oriented approaches.

Abstract

The implementation of the INA-CBGs prospective payment system requires hospitals to ensure that reimbursement tariffs adequately cover actual treatment costs, particularly for stroke, which is a high-cost catastrophic disease. Differences between INA-CBGs tariffs and actual hospital costs may affect hospital financial sustainability. This study aimed to analyse the differences between actual hospital costs and INA-CBGs tariffs in inpatient stroke cases and to identify the effects of length of stay, stroke severity, stroke type, complications, and Cost Recovery Rate (CRR) on these cost differences. This quantitative retrospective study used secondary data from medical records and BPJS claims of 101 inpatient stroke cases selected using total sampling, including all eligible stroke inpatients treated at RSUD dr. Abdul Aziz Singkawang in 2024. Data were analysed using descriptive analysis, t-tests, logistic regression, and CRR calculations. Total actual hospital costs exceeded INA-CBGs reimbursement, resulting in a financial deficit and an overall CRR of 93%. Stroke severity and stroke type significantly influenced cost differences, while length of stay and complications showed indirect effects through increased resource utilisation and prolonged hospitalisation. Severe haemorrhagic stroke cases generated the largest financial losses. Differences between actual costs and INA-CBGs tariffs are influenced by multiple interrelated factors. Severe stroke cases, particularly haemorrhagic stroke, create the greatest financial burden. Tariff evaluation and improved hospital cost management are required to enhance financial efficiency.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze strategies for strengthening entrepreneurship education through the alignment of faith-based institutional policies and the Teaching Factory (TeFa) learning model. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, with data collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. Data were analyzed thematically to capture the dynamics between institutional governance, value systems, and vocational entrepreneurship learning. The findings indicate that institutional policies play a dual role as regulatory constraints and value-reinforcing mechanisms within a protective–educational framework. Key challenges identified include regulatory paradoxes, a persistent gap between theoretical learning and entrepreneurial practice, and an underdeveloped entrepreneurship ecosystem. To address these challenges, the study proposes three strategic approaches: (1) a tripartite collaboration model involving educational institutions, governing authorities, and industry partners; (2) the integration of institution-owned enterprises as a platform for implementing TeFa-based entrepreneurship learning; and (3) a multi-layered supervision system to ensure consistency with institutional values and governance. The study theoretically contributes an integrative model that bridges faith-based institutional values with industry-oriented vocational entrepreneurship education. Practically, it provides strategic insights for developing sustainable, value-based entrepreneurship ecosystems within faith-based vocational education settings.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effects of integrity, competence, and work environment on employee performance at Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) in the Malang Raya area, with work motivation and organizational commitment as mediating variables. The study employed a quantitative, explanatory design. Data were collected from 90 BSI employees through a questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that integrity (β = 0.173; p = 0.027), competence (β = 0.158; p = 0.043), and work environment (β = 0.189; p = 0.013) have positive and significant effects on employee performance. In addition, work motivation (β = 0.336; p < 0.001) and organizational commitment (β = 0.358; p < 0.001) also significantly influence employee performance. Mediation analysis shows that work motivation and organizational commitment act as significant partial mediators, with indirect effect coefficients ranging from 0.090 to 0.117. The coefficient of determination indicates that the proposed model explains 70.3% of the variance in employee performance (R² = 0.703). This study contributes theoretically by developing a dual-mediation employee performance model in the context of Islamic banking and provides practical implications for human resource management at Bank Syariah Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of work discipline and work motivation on the performance of educational staff, with organizational commitment as a mediating variable, in educational staff at the Faculty of Law, Brawijaya University, Malang. The approach used is quantitative with a survey and explanatory design. The entire population consisting of 46 people were used as respondents through a census technique. Primary data were collected using a Likert-scale-based questionnaire and analyzed using path analysis using SPSS version 26. The results show that work discipline and work motivation have a positive and significant effect on performance, both directly and indirectly through organizational commitment as a mediating variable. This means that increasing work discipline and motivation not only has a direct impact on improving performance but can also strengthen performance through increasing organizational commitment. These findings emphasize the importance of building a work culture that supports discipline and motivation, as well as strengthening organizational commitment as a foundation for improving educational staff performance. Therefore, policies and leadership are needed that are able to encourage the development of these three aspects in an integrated manner to achieve sustainable work effectiveness in the higher education environment.
