Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to produce an Ethnoscience-Based Electronic Handout on Biodiversity Materials for Class X SMA. The research was carried out at the Biology Education Study Program, FKIP UNRI and at SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru for students at SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru from August to December 2021. This type of research used the ADDIE model. The instruments used are validation sheets and response questionnaires. The results showed that the well-developed electronic handouts were appropriate to be used as additional teaching materials in the learning process in schools to increase students' knowledge and understanding of biodiversity materials in facilitating students to build their own knowledge. The results of the validation of the Ethnoscience-Based Electronic Handout on Biodiversity Materials for Class X SMA shows that the electronic Handout that has been developed is in the very valid category with an overall average score of 3.51. The results of the first stage of the trial obtained an average score of 3.37 and the results of the second stage of the trial obtained an average score of 3.38 in the very good category.Key Words:Electronic Handout, Ethnoscience, Biodiversity.

Abstract

Abstract : Research has been conducted to determine the composition and structure of tree and pole strata vegetation in the mangrove forest of Teluk Pambang Village, Bengkalis Regency in March-November 2018. The research used a survey method and Belt Transec along 100 m with an observation plot measuring 20 x 20 m for tree strata and 10 x 10 m for pole strata. The parameters in this study are the composition of type, density, frequency, dominance, important value, and diversity index. The result of research showed that there were 15 species of mangrove forests in Teluk Pambang Village, namely Xylocarpus granatum, Rhizophora mucronata, Rhizophora apiculata, Rhizophora stylosa, Bruguiera cylindrica, Bruguiera gymnorrhiza, Bruguiera sexangula, Bruguiera parviflora, Ceriops tagal, Ceriops decandra, Lumnitzera littorea , Sonneratia alba, Sonneratia caseolaris, Avicennia alba, and Scyphypora hydrophyllacea. The important value index of influential tree strata are Xylocarpus granatum (St.I), Bruguiera cylindrica (St.II and III), Rhizophora apiculata (St. IV) and Sonneratia alba (St.V). In the pole strata of the influential species, Bruguiera cylindrica (St.I, II and III), Rhizophora apiculata (St. IV) and Avicennia alba (St.V). Diversity index of mangrove tree strata and pole vegetation in the mangrove forest area of Bengkalis Regency, which ranged from 0.64 to 1.98 for tree strata and 1.01-2.13 for pole strata. The results of the study can be used as a handout on the concept of the ecosystem.Keyword : Composition Of Type, Vegetation Structure, Handout

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine students' perception of the implementation of cooperative learning model type Teams Games Tournament (TGT) and its relationship to learning outcomes ipa biology class VII MTs Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru. This study was conducted in May and July 2016. The sample in this study were 48 students of class and class VIIa5 VIIb4 2015/2016 school year and one science teacher. The parameters of this study (1) The students 'perception of the implementation of cooperative learning model type Teams Games Tournament (TGT) with six indicators, namely: attention, hope, motivation, needs, value systems, and personality type, (2) the relationship of students' perceptions of learning model application TGT cooperative with IPA Biology student learning outcomes. Instrument perception propagated through a closed questionnaire, the whole item questionnaire valid and reliability, koofesian reliability Cronbach Alfa of 0, 918. The data collected was analyzed mengguanakan 20:00 SPSS for windows. The results of data analysis showed that students' perceptions of 4.12 (Good). Students' perception of the implementation of cooperative learning model TGT learning outcomes Biology IPA has a close relationship (r = 0.494) in the class VII MTs Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru.

Abstract

Abstract : Module is a unit of planned learning program, designed to help learners achieve learning objectives. The use of the Module will be able to enhance the student's active role in learning. This study aims to produce high school biology learning modules by utilizing the results of studies on the composition of plant species in post-fire peatlands. For this purpose, we have conducted a survey study in Rimba Panjang Village, Kampar District, Riau Province in February-October 2017. The quadratic method and purposive random sampling technique were applied on the gradient of fire incident 2009, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. Parameters observed were species composition of each vegetation level (seedling, sapling, and tree). Vegetation analysis obtained 9 Species seedling, Acacia mangium, Evodia roxburghiana, Macaranga triloba, Eugenia pelyta, Melastoma malabathricum, Lantana camara, terma virgata, Cratoxylon arborescens and Ilex cymosa. Five saplings species are Acacia mangium, Evodia roxburghiana, Macaranga triloba, Eugenia pelyta, and Ilex cymosa, as well as 5 trees species, namely Acacia mangium, Evodia roxburghiana, Eugenia pelyta, Cratoxylon arborescens, and Ilex cymosa. It can be concluded that vegetation regeneration in long-burnt peatlands is relatively better compared to relatively new land burns. The composition of the species can be utilized for the development of learning module of High School Biology class X on Ecosystem Component (KD 3.10) and Environmental Change and its impact to the life of Class X (KD 3.11). It is recommended to test the use of the generated modules and the benefits of enriching student learning materials in a classical way. Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of learning science class VII SMPN 1 Sinaboi Satu Atap in the academic year 2015/2016 with the implementation of cooperative learning model Think Pair Share. This research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles were conducted in March and April 2016. The subject of this research was the seventh grade students in the academic year 2015/2016 with a total of 25 people consisting of 12 students and 13 female students. The parameters in this study were (1) learning oucomes student consisting of absorption, mastery learning and appreciation of the group, (2) student learning activities and (3) the activities of teachers. The result showed that the absorption of the value of daily tests on the first cycle is 71.6 and increased in the second cycle becomes 73.4. Mastery learning students in the first cycle as many as 14 (56%) of people had increased in the second cycle to 17 (68%). Then the student activity also increased from 88.64% in the first cycle to 98.83% in the second cycle. The activities of teachers in the learning process in the first cycle average is 89.28% with both categories and increased in the second cycle with the average 96.43% and included a very good category. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus yang dilakukan pada bulan Maret sampai April 2016. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII Tahun Pelajaran 2015/2016 dengan jumlah 25 orang yang terdiri dari 12 siswa dan 13 siswi. Parameter dalam penelitian ini adalah (1) hasil belajar siswa yang terdiri atas daya serap, ketuntasan belajar dan penghargaan kelompok, (2) aktivitas belajar siswa dan (3) aktivitas guru. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa daya serap dari nilai ulangan harian pada siklus I yaitu 71,6 dan meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 73,4. Ketuntasan belajar siswa pada siklus I yaitu sebanyak 14 (56%) orang mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II menjadi 17 (68%). Kemudian aktifitas siswa juga meningkat dari 88,64 % pada siklus I menjadi 98,83% pada siklus II. Aktifitas guru dalam proses belajar mengajar pada rata siklus I adalah 89,28% dengan kategori baik dan meningkat pada siklus II dengan rata-ratanya 96,43% dan termasuk kategori amat baik. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) siswa kelas VII SMPN 1 Sinaboi Satu Atap Tahun Pelajaran 2015/2016.Kata kunci:Cooperative, Think Pair Share, Learning outcome, IPA

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the structure community of soil surface insect in palm oil plantation in the village of Kepenuhan Tengah Of Rokan Hulu Regency and to produce a design learning resources in the form of pocket books. The study was conducted at the oil palm plantation in the village of Kepenuhan Tengah Of Rokan Hulu Regency and at the Biology Education Laboratory of the Teaching and Education Faculty of the University of Riau in August 2019 to September 2019. This research uses survey method. The location was chosen based on purposive sampling by considering the age factor of oil palm plantations. The parameters in this research are diversity index (H'), dominance index (C), importance index (INP), species composition, supporting parameters include soil temperature, soil moisture, and soil pH. The results obtained by the structure of land surface insect communities was found to have a moderate the level of diversity in the range 1.51-2.25. The dominance index of soil surface insects is relatively low, ranging from 0.12 to 0.31. The highest importance index of the four stations was found at station IV, Anoplolepis gracilipes species with INP 61.21%. The composition of soil surface insects was found 5 orders, 10 families and 14 species with the highest proportion is Hymenoptera which is equal to 52.53%. The results of the study have been made as a source of learning biology in the form of a Class X high school pocketbook on Ecosystem Materials.Key Words: Composition Pocket Book, Soil Surface Insects, The Structure Community

Abstract

Abstract: The research was conducted to inventory the types of traditional medicinal plants in the Sub-district Peranap Indragiri Hulu Regency on 9-25 March 2018. This research consists of two stages. The first is collecting data of medicinal plant species in the sub-district Peranap by survey method and snowball sampling technique by determining the key respondents (interview and field observation). Data were analyzed by descriptive. The second stage is the design of pocket book biodiversity of traditional medicinal plants from the results of research. The study found 106 plant species from 54 plant families with the largest number of species available in the family Lamiaceae and Zingiberaceae that is 7 species. A total of 74 species are used to treat diseases of the digestive system. Part of medicinal plant which is used is leaf (47,9%), way of processing plant which is widely used that is boiled (42,5%), then how to use medicine which is widely used that is drunk (59, 8%). Of the 106 species of plants found there are 7 types of potential (species of plants that nutritious and not widely known to the public) in Sub-District Peranap. Based on the analysis of the potential of senior high school biology syllabus, there are 8 Basic Competencies and Science of junior high school 7 Basic Competence related to the result of research designed to be a learning supplement in the form of pocket book on the material of biodiversity utilization effort.Keywords: Inventory, Medicinal Plant, Sub-district Peranap, Pocket Book.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to (i) describe the character of environmental care students of class XI SMA N 1 Pekanbaru; (ii) to know the relationship between the character of environmental care and mastery of ecosystems concept; (iii) to know the relationship between the character of environmental care and mastery of environmental change concepts. This research was conducted in Juli-Agustus 2018. The sample in this study amounted to 50 students determined based on random sampling techniques.The instrument consisted of environmentally caring character questionnaires, description test of ecosystem and description test of environmental change. The data obtained were analyzed using the correlation test product moment at the level of 5%, test of determination, and descriptive analysis. The results of the study showed that (i) the character of the environmental care students of class XI of SMA N 1 Pekanbaru showed an average of 82.6% in the good category; (ii) there is a significant relationship between the character of environmental care and the mastery of ecosystem concepts of 0.676 with a strong category and the coefficient of determination (r2) is 0.457; (iii) there is a significant relationship between the character of environmental care and mastery of the concept of environmental change of 0.784 with a strong category, and the value of the coefficient of determination (r2) is 0.614. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that the character of environmental care students of class XI SMA N 1 Pekanbaru is included in the good category, there is a strong relationship between the two variables.Key Words: Ecosystem, Environmentally Caring Character, Environmental Change, Mastery Concepts

Abstract

Abstract: This study was conducted to determine the effect of concentration  liquid organic fertilizer on the growth of lettuce with a wick system engineering and design for the development of science junior high school learning modules in March-May 2016. The study was carried out by two phases: an experiment: the effect of the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer BioSAR 003 on the growth of lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) with hydroponic techniques wick system and module design phase: analysis of the potential for development teaching materials of science junor high school learning modules, The study used an experimental method by conducting experiments in Greenhouse of Biology Education Laboratory University of Riau, Pekanbaru. Sampling was done by completely randomized design consisting of 4 treatments and 3 replications. The parameters in this study were plant height, leaf number, fresh weight and dry weight of plants. Based on the results of analysis of variance at 5% level, giving the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer BioSAR 003 showed significantly affect the growth of lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.). Liquid organic fertilizer BioSAR 003 with a concentration of 30 cc resulted in the growth of lettuce plants (Lactuca sativa L.) is best reached 18.16 cm high, the number of strands of 9.66 leaves, wet weight of 10.63 g and 0.30 g dry weight. Based on the analysis of the potential of the research results can be used as a module designed development on biotechnology concept for junior high school students.

Abstract

Abstracts: The descriptive research has conducted to determine students perceptions VII.4 grade SMPN 2 Tambang of the application of cooperative models of TPS (Think Pair Share) in science teaching Biology Academic Year 2015/2016. The research was conducted in SMP Negeri 2 Tambang. This research was held in April and May 2016. The sample was grader VII.4 totaling 20 students. This study begins with the first made the implementation of cooperative model TPS to students. After Biology learning with the implementation of TPS type cooperative model is completed, a questionnaire distributed to 20 students. The questionnaire distributed contains 30 statements using five indicators which are attention, expectations, needs, system of values, and personality type. The type of questionnaire used was a enclosed questionnaire. The number of items prepared in accordance with the need to be able to represent the students perception of learning strategies and biology for students perception of the implementation of learning model TPS. Then data tabulated based on answers to the questionnaire of each item is given a score, for the items in question consists of five alternatives. Answers were analyzed using a graduated scale (rating scale) by using a value-shaped figure results. The average perception of students towards science biology teaching after implementation of cooperative model tps at each indicator in a row is 4.51 (Good), 4.53 (Good), 4.7 (Very Good), 4.6 (Good), 4.66 (Good). The results showed that the students perception of the implementation of the cooperative model TPS in science teaching Biology is good with average 4.6.Keywords: Descriptive, cooperative model of think pair share, biology
