Abstract

Abstract: Changes in the environment and human activity at this time is one of the causes of water pollution in various waters such as rivers, lakes, reservoirs and at sea. This study aims to determine the quality of the waters of the Indragiri River based on indicators of the macrozoobenthos community. The study was conducted in March - December 2019 along the Indragiri River in Kuantan Singingi Regency and was identified in the FKIP Biology laboratory of the University of Riau. Research results are integrated to design handouts. Determination of the research station by purposive random sampling by setting 5 stations and 3 random sampling times. Biological parameters observed were species composition, density, diversity index, species richness index, dominance index, and community similarity index. Physico-chemical parameters measured are temperature, pH, brightness, current strength, and DO. Data were analyzed descriptively. Based on the analysis, there were 6 types of macrozoobenthos composition. Based on the composition of the type of quality of the Indragiri River classified as moderate to severe. Based on the diversity index of macrozoobenthos, the quality of the waters of the Indragiri River is classified as heavily polluted to very heavy and the measurement results of the physical physics factors of the Indragiri River waters are classified as mild to severe. The results of research on the quality of the waters of the Indragiri River are used as material for the design of material handouts for environmental changes, specifically water pollution.Key Word : Macrozoobenthos, Physic-Chemical Water Factor River Water Quality.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the structure of weed communities on oil palm plantations in the village of Kepuhi Tengah in Rokan Hulu Regency and the design of learning resources in the form of pocket books. The study was conducted on oil palm plantations in the village of Kepuhi Tengah in Rokan Hulu Regency and in the Biology Education Laboratory of the Teaching and Education Faculty of the University of Riau in August to September 2019. This study used a survey method. By taking a purposive random sampling aside and considering the age factor of oil palm plantations, and determining the plot is done randomly through a lottery. The parameters in the study are, important value index, diversity index, composition, and similarity index. The parameters include soil moisture, soil temperature, soil pH and light intensity. The results obtained by the Community Structure of weeds in oil palm plantations found the level of weed diversity consisting of 47 species of weeds classified into 35 families dominated by Paspalum dimidiatum of 2217 individuals and the highest proportion of weeds in oil palm plantations was the Melastomataceae family of 19.05% . Weed Diversity Index ranged from 1.74-2.33. The highest importance index was found at station II, Lophatherum gracile species with NP 78.12% and the lowest was found at station I, Drynaria quercifolia with NP 0.76%. Weed similarity index was found to be relatively low, ranging between 029-0.55. The results of the study have been made as a source of biology class X high school learning on ecosystem material in the form of pocket books.Key Words: Pocket Book, Weed at Oil Palm Plantation, Community Structure, Composition.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to describe scientific attitude of students on biology subject participants by teachers candidates PPG-SM3T at state Senior High School in Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru academic year 2015/2016. This study was conducted in Oktober 2015 until Maret 2016. Instruments that used is classroom observation sheets and enclosed questionnaire. Observed scientific attitude is composed of five indicators, curiosity, cooperation, responsibility, dicipline, and conscientious. Observation sheets filled based on descriptions that have been determined. Questionnaire consists of 16 statements. All the items of enclosed questionnaire is valid and reliable, the reliability coefficient using alpha Cronbach of 0,821 Samples in this study were 106 students who are taught by teacher candidates PPG-SM3T program at state Senior High School in Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru. Data that have been collected analyse by descriptive. The results of the data’s analysis showed that the scientific attitude of students who are taught by a teacher candidates PPG-SM3T program at state Senior High School in Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru categorized “good” by average 82,86% based on observations and 80,74% based on questionnaires. This suggests that the scientific attitude of students who are taught by a teacher candidates PPG-SM3T program are quite good on biology subject.Key Words: Teacher candidates PPG-SM3T program, Scientific attitude of student, Biology subject

Abstract

Abstrack: This study aims to determine the relationship of interest with student learning outcomes on learning biology class XI SMA Negeri 14 Pekanbaru.Penelitian conducted in January to February 2017. This type of research is a correlation research that aims to see whether there is a relationship between two variables or multiple variables. The subjects of this study were students of class XI IPA 1 academic year 2016/2017 which amounted to 34 students consisting of 22 female students and 12 male students. The sample determination was done by survey method. The research instrument used is a closed questionnaire consisting of 25 statements and 5 indicators of feelings of pleasure, interest, student attention, student involvement and student learning outcomes that comprise aspects of cognitive aspects. The data collected was analyzed using SPSS version 20.00 for windows based on the calculation using Likert scale to know the relationship of interest with learning outcomes. The results showed that the relationship of interest with student learning outcomes on the cognitive aspect to get the value of calculation r of coefficient of product moment correlation is 0.602 which means significant 5% significance level (0.349). Furthermore it can be said that rhitung ≥ rtabel, so the hypothesis accepted and the nature of the relationship of interest with cognitive learning outcomes is positive with strong category.Keywords: Student's Interest And Learning Outcomes, Correlation

Abstract

Abstract : Interesting teaching materials in the learning process are usually printed and illustrated in one of the visual dictionaries. Visual Dictionary is one of the illustrated and constant teaching materials that facilitates learners to understand learning. This study aims to produce a visual dictionary of Biology High School learning using the results of a study on ecosystems in post-fire peatlands. For that reason, a survey was conducted in Rimbo Panjang Village, Kampar District, Riau Province in February - October 2017. Quadratic methods and purposive sampling techniques were applied to gradient fire events 2009, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. The paramaeter were observed i.e. type composition, environmental factors and distribution pattern of vegetation. The data were analyzed using Dispers Morista Index descriptively and qualitatively. Based on the results of the research, 32 species and 21 basic vegetation families were found in post-fire peatlands. Distribution pattern of peatland vegetation shows that distribution patterns tend to be more random than clustering patterns. The result of this research can be used for the development of visual dictionary of Class X Biology (KD 3.10). Testing using visual dictionaries generated and the benefits of enriching the learners' learning materials are classically important for further action. Abstract

Abstract: This study was conducted to determine the effect of nutrient concentrations on plant growth AB Mix the spinach with hydroponic techniques wick system as well as the design for the development of learning handout on SMP IPA in March-May 2016. The study was carried out by two phases: an experiment: the effect of nutrient concentrations AB Mix the spinach plant growth (Amaranthus tricolor L.) with hydroponic techniques and the wick system design stage handout science teaching junior high school. The study used an experimental method performed in Greenhouse Natural Laboratory Biology Education Studies Program FKIP Riau University Pekanbaru. Sampling was done by completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 3 replications. The parameters in this study were plant height, leaf number, fresh weight and dry weight of plants. Based on the results of analysis of variance (Anova) at 5% level, giving AB Mix nutrient concentrations showed significantly affect plant growth amaranth (Amaranthus tricolor L.). Mix AB Award nutrient solution with a concentration of 1400 ppm produced growth of crop plants spinach (Amaranthus tricolor L.) is best reached 34.7 cm height, number of leaves strands 9.33, 11.88 g wet weight and dry weight of 0.99 g , Based on the analysis of the potential of the research results can be used as a handout designed development on biotechnology concept for junior high school students.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the amount of litter production in the traditionalForestDistrictof Jake Village, Kuantan Singingi Regency and produce a learning handout design on ecosystem material in class X high school. The research took place in April-May 2019. The study consisted of two stages, namely the analysis stage of average forest litter production and the handout design stage. The stage of field data collection was carried out with descriptive research, data collection by survey methods, determination of sampling points by purposive random sampling. The parameters in this research are the composition of Jake Indigenous Forest Littering Forest and the supporting parameters in the form of environmental factors that affect litter production. The results of thestudy were obtained by calculating the production of Jake Indigenous Forest Prohibition Litter to meet the needs of organic materials needed in the forest ecosystem. Abstract

Abstract: The explanation on bacterial topic in the main teaching materials used by the teacher is general and is not explained in detail, the examples given are universal and not contextual which have an impact on low student learning achievements. Thus, teachers are required to be able to create a learning process that is more innovative, factual, and contextual. Handout can be desiagning for Teaching materials on bacterial topic. This study aims to determine the potential of biology handout design on bacterial topic for Senior High School Grade X. This research was conducted at FKIP, Riau University in December 2020-March 2021. This study used the ADDIE model, which is analysis and design stages. The results showed that the analysis phase, by analyzing the curriculum, syllabus, KD, and the material in accordance with the results of the study. The design stage is designing learning tools in the form of a syllabus and lesson plans, and designing a handout consisting of a cover, foreword, contents, study instructions, (KI, KD, and IPK), introduction, elaboration of subject matter, evaluation, and reference sources. The conclusion is the biology handouts design on KD 3.5 and KD 4.5 specifically for bacterial topic can be used as handout teaching materials for Senior High School student Grade X.Key Words: Handout. Abstract

Abstract: The study was conducted to collect data about utilization of medicinalplants the indigenous Rumbio Commnunities from July until August 2015. The resultsare used to developing learning module on the concept of Biological Diversity in theSenior High School Grade X. This study consisted of 2 stage, the first stage is the stageof data collection species of medicinal herbs with survey methods (interviews andobservation). Parameters in this study are the types of medicinal plants in theenvironment of indigenous peoples and utilization of Rumbio Communities. Data wereanalyzed with descriptive methods. The second stage is the development of learningmodule of the first stage of the research results. The second stage development moduleADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) conductedinto 3 stages: analyze, design, development. Results of this study found 73 species of 38families of plants used in traditional medicine in Indigenous Communities Rumbio.Parts of the plant most widely used are the leaves as many as 60 species, habitattraditional medicinal plants are most numerous in the yard as many as 56 species, theefficacy of traditional medicinal plants most, namely to treat gastrointestinal diseases(stomach aches, colds, dysentery, diarrhea and gastritis) as many as 15 species, theprocessing of traditional medicinal plants are most that by boiling as many as 68species, and then how to use traditional medicinal plants are most that by mouth asmuch as 65 species. Results mean learning assessment module validation is valid withthe average assessment is 4.15. Thus, the learning module can be tested on subjects inSenior High School Biology grade X.Keywords: Plant Medicine , Indigenous Rumbio Commnunities, Learning Module.

Abstract

Abstract: Descriptive research has been conducted to reveal the students' perceptions of the implementation of authentic assessment (authenthic assessment) in the course of technique and management of laboratoryin the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education University of Riau Academic Year 2013/2014. This research was conducted in December 2013 to January 2014. Subjects were students of the 1st semester of Biology Education, Academic Year 2013/2014 amounted to 54 people consisting of 7 men and 47 women. Parameters measured were perceptions of students with indicators of knowledge (Knowledge), reasoning (reasoning), skills (Skill), work (Product), and attitude (Affect). The results showed student perceptions on the implementation of authentic assessment (authenthic assessment) in the course of technique and management of laboratoryin in good categories. Perceptions of students for indicators Knowledge (Knowledge) was 3:44 (good category), indicators of reasoning (reasoning) is 3:24 (good category), indicators of skill (Skill) is 3:47 (good category), the indicator works (Product) is 3.25 (good category) , attitude indicator (Affect) was 3:28 (good category).Keywords: perception, assessment, authentic assessment, technique and management of laboratory
