Abstract

Sumatera Selatan merupakan salah satu provinsi bagian dari Pulau Sumatera yang mempunyai luas wilayah 91.806,36 km2 . Provinsi Sumatera Selatan secara administrasi menjadi 13 (tiga belas) Kabupaten dan 4 (empat) kota dengan jumlah desa sebanyak 2.823 desa, 363 kelurahan dan 231 kecamatan. Luas wilayah dan banyaknya kota maupun kabupaten yang ada di wilayah Sumatera Selatan, masing masing memiliki potensi lokal yang berberda-beda. Setiap daerah memiliki keunggulan yang berbeda-beda yaitu potensi alam, budaya, sejarah, buatan, kuliner, wisata religi, dan agrowisata. Keunggulan lokal Sumatera Selatan adalah potensi daerah yang dapat dikembangkan sebagai sumber belajar peserta didik. Keunggulan lokal yang ada di Sumatera Selatan diharapkan dapat dijadikan sumber belajar Pendidikan STEM di Sekolah Dasar dan Menengah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran reciprocal teaching terhadap keterampilan metakognitif peserta didik kelas XI SMA Unggul Negeri 4 Palembang pada materi sistem ekskresi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Pre-Eksperimental dengan desain penelitian One Group Pretest-Posttest. Pemilihan sampel penelitian menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling. Pengambilan data dilakukan di kelas XI MIPA 3 SMA Unggul Negeri 4 Palembang dengan jumlah peserta didik sebanyak 29 orang. Keterampilan metakognitif dinilai dari jawaban peserta didik atas soal uraian keterampilan metakognitif yang meliputi keterampilan perencanaan, pengawasan, dan evaluasi. Penskoran jawaban dilakukan menggunakan rubrik penilaian metakognitif modifikasi Doesete (2001). Data dianalisis melalui uji-t menggunakan aplikasi SPSS. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan uji-t pada taraf signifikasi 0,05 diperoleh nilai thitung keterampilan perencanaan, pengawasan, dan evaluasi lebih besar dari nilai ttabel, yaitu 7,724 > 2,048, 11,455 > 2,048, dan 14,774 > 2,048. Sehingga hipotesis nol (H0) ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari penerapan model pembelajaran reciprocal teaching terhadap keterampilan metakognitif peserta didik kelas XI SMA Unggul Negeri 4 Palembang pada materi sistem ekskresi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan informasi mengenai pengaruh model pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Jigsaw terhadap keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi (Higher Order Thinking Skills) peserta didik pada materi sistem percernaan kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Raja.  Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi Experimental dengan desain penelitian Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Penentuan sampel penelitian menggunakan Simple Random Samping, didapatkan sampel penelitian yaitu kelas XI IPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes berupa soal pilihan ganda. Hasil penelitian menunujukkan nilai rata-rata tes akhir kelas eksperimen sebesar 72,43 sedangkan kelas kontrol sebesar 62,34. Berdasarkan uji statistik menggunakan SPSS uji Mann-Whitney, nilai probabilitas (signifikansi) sebesar 0,000 maka hipotesis H0 ditolak sehingga model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi (HOTS) peserta didik pada materi sistem percernaan kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Raja.Kata kunci : Jigsaw, Keterampilan Berpikir Tinggi, Sistem Pencernaan.

Abstract

The research to determine the potential of kecombrang leaf extract (Etlingera elatior) as plant larvicide against Culex quinquefasciatus has been carried out. Experimental method with Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments and 5 replications was carried out with Culex quinquefasciatus III instar larvae. Kecombrang leaf extract with a concentration of P0 (0%); P1 (1%); P2 (1.5%); P3 (2%); P4 (2.5%). Then the percentage of mortality of Culex quinquefasciatus was calculated at 24 and 48 hours after treatment. The data obtained were then analyzed by ANAVA, followed by Duncan Distance Distinction (BNJD) and Honestly Significant Difference Test (BNJ) and 50% Letal Concentration (KL50). ANAVA results showed that the administration of papaya seed extract had a very significant effect on the mortality of Culex quinquefasciatus larvae. BNJD test and BNJ test showed that the concentration to kill 100% of the Culex quinquefasciatus larvae was 2.5% at 24 hours and 2% at 48 hours. KL50 values for 24 and 48 hours are 1.216% and 0.595% respectively. Information on the results of this study can be used as additional material for Biology learning materials in class X semester 2 Basic Competence 3.8. Applying the classification principle to classify plants into divisio based on morphological observations and plant metagenesis and linking their role in the survival of life on earth.Key words: Kecombrang leaves, Culex quinquefasciatus, vegetable larvacides

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the students' interest and cognitive ability through the implementation of comic media on the environmental pollution concept at one of Junior High School in Serang City, Indonesia. The method used in this study is a descriptive research. The subject in this study was class VII.2. The class was chosen because of the information from the subject teacher that it has students who are less active in learning and obtained the lowest average score of all class VII in the first semester. The data collection technique used non-test instruments in observation sheets and questionnaires to determine the students' interest. The test instrument was in multiple-choice questions and open-ended essay to determine the students' cognitive ability. The results showed students' interest as measured by observation and questionnaires were in the high category with 56% and 88%, respectively. The average value of the students' cognitive ability is 65.59, with a good category. It can be concluded that the implementation of comic media can foster students' interest in learning. The results of this study can be a suggestion for curriculum developers to use comics as an alternative media for an exciting learning process. Future studies can focus more on specific comic components that can attract students' attention in the learning process.

Abstract

Knowledge, skills, and attitudes of teachers in developing critical thinking skills are very much needed to train students' basic thinking skills. This descriptive quantitative study described the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of teachers in developing critical thinking skills in elementary school students. The data collection employed a questionnaire with a Likert scale. The questionnaire was distributed online using Google Form during teacher professional development training. Respondents in this study were 366 elementary school teachers spread across 23 provinces in Indonesia. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively and quantitatively. The results of this study indicated the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of teachers in developing critical thinking in elementary school students are a good category. Description knowledge, skills, and attitudes of a good teacher impact the designed learning process. However, this study only described teachers' knowledge, skills, and attitudes in developing critical thinking skills, which the basis for implementing learning in elementary schools. The application of critical thinking learning by elementary school teachers can be used for further research.

Abstract

This research is aims to develop the local excellences-based teaching materials of South Sumatera for science learning in elementary school. This teaching materials are designed and manufactured with local pre-eminent items in South Sumatra and adapted to the subject matter taught in science learning in elementary school. This research is a development research using ADDIE development model and Tessmer evaluation method. The development stages in this research include analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Evaluation of prototypes is conducted by: self evaluation, expert reviews, one-to-one evaluation, small group evaluation, and field test evaluation. Prototypes are validated by experts in materials, constructs, language, and media. The instruments used are questionnaires, observation sheets, test results and product assessment sheets. The result of the research shows that the teaching materials based on local excellences of South Sumatera are valid and after being tested in one to one, small group evaluation, field test evaluation of this teaching materials are considered practical. In conclusion, the teaching materials based on local excellences of South Sumatra are feasible to be used for science learning in elementary school.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' needs for learning media assisted by Articulate Storyline as a way to improve students' critical thinking skills. The research method used was development research with the ADDIE development model, but this research only reached the analysis stage. Data collection involved literature study and field study. The literature study was conducted by collecting relevant research and sources and analyzing the curriculum used by the school, while the field study was conducted by interviewing teachers and students of grade VI SD Negeri 74 Palembang, observation, critical thinking skills test, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using the concept of Miles and Huberman which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results showed that students had varied characteristics and critical thinking skills. The average percentage of overall critical thinking ability is 37% with a low category. IPAS Phase C Learning Outcomes on Earth rotation material require students to be able to think critically. Students show enthusiasm when using learning media involving technology. Teachers and students agreed that they need Articulate Storyline learning media, which has several features to train critical thinking skills. The app allows the integration of different types of media such as video, audio, image, text and animation in one platform, which can enrich learning materials and trigger deep thinking. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that there is a need to develop learning media assisted by Articulate Storyline to improve students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Science literacy skills are essential in 21st century learning because they allow individuals to effectively communicate knowledge and research results to the public. This research aims to develop a feasible, practical, and effective digital picture book in improving the science literacy skills of elementary school students. The research method used is research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE model which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The subject of the study is fourth grade students. Data collection techniques are carried out through interviews, product validation questionnaires, student response questionnaires, and science literacy ability tests. The data analysis used is quantitative descriptive. Product validation is carried out by material experts, media experts, linguists, and practitioners (teachers). The validation results show that the developed digital picture storybook is included in the very feasible category. From the results of one-to-one and small group trials, digital picture storybooks are categorized as very practical to use. Meanwhile, from the results of the field test, students' science literacy skills have increased with a moderate N-Gain level. Therefore, it can be concluded that the development of this digital picture story book has produced a digital picture book that is feasible, practical, and has a positive impact on improving the science literacy skills of elementary school students.

Abstract

The integration of local wisdom in digital learning is essential to preserve cultural identity among younger generations. However, history education in Indonesian high schools often lacks engaging and contextual media, resulting in low student interest and weak cultural attachment. This study investigates the educational needs of high school students for virtual cultural exhibitions incorporating South Sumatra’s local wisdom through the Artsteps platform. This preliminary study employed a mixed-method exploratory design involving 128 students from SMA LTI IGM Palembang. Data were collected through validated questionnaires comprising Likert-scale and open-ended items. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, while qualitative responses underwent thematic analysis. Findings reveal that 87% of students expressed strong needs for technology-based, flexible, and interactive learning media. YouTube (79.7%) and historical simulations (66.4%) were the most frequently used, but virtual tours were rarely accessed. Students showed high interest in features such as interactive quizzes (68%), traditional music backgrounds (68.8%), and 3D visualizations (62.5%). Local cultural elements most favored included historical figures (68.8%) and culinary traditions (68%). The results underscore the urgent need for immersive and culturally relevant learning innovations. Artsteps-based virtual exhibitions align well with students’ digital preferences and can foster deeper engagement with local history. The findings provide a strong foundation for developing virtual learning media that support cultural education and enhance historical understanding.
