Abstract

Bullying behavior is a serious problem in schools. Bullying behavior can be carried out physically or non-physically, either through social media or directly, so that students feel threatened, afraid, traumatized, and it has a big impact on learning activities. This research focuses on the effectiveness of academic self-efficacy and learning Pancasila values to reduce bullying behavior in students. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study type of research. The data used are the results of observations, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. To obtain valid data, this research applies source triangulation and method triangulation. The analysis was carried out by applying a descriptive qualitative interactive model approach through the steps of data collection, data condensation, data display, and conclusion: drawing/verifying. The research results show that the application of Pancacila values has a role in shaping character because each value of the Pancasila principles contains behavioral guidelines that must be applied in everyday life. In this case, the application of Pancasila values can reduce bullying behavior from both the perpetrator and the victim. Academic self-efficacy influences how students interpret environmental situations, anticipation, strategies, and actions that can be taken to minimize the impact of bullying behavior.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to produce a science e-book based on local wisdom that is feasible, practical, and effective to improve students' digital literacy and critical thinking skills. This research method is a development research using the 4D model. The subjects of this study were grade VIII students at one of the Mataram City Public Junior High Schools consisting of 3 classes. Data collection techniques used questionnaires, observation sheets and test instruments developed according to critical thinking and digital literacy indicators. Data analysis techniques used Aikens'V for the feasibility test, practicality percentage test and normalized gain test to test the hypothesis. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the science e-book based on local wisdom that was developed was included in the category of feasible, practical and effective for use in science learning and could improve students' digital literacy and critical thinking skills. Science e-books based on local wisdom support students in the learning process by utilizing technology. The use of science e-books based on local wisdom makes it easier for students to learn and provides fun and up-to-date things. Learning using science e-books based on local wisdom encourages students to learn actively and creatively because it is accompanied by exploratory tasks.

Abstract

Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) plays a vital role in promoting inclusive education. However, its implementation in geographically remote regions remains underexplored. This study investigates elementary school teachers’ perspectives on integrating CRT within the Independent Curriculum in the remote Karimunjawa District of Indonesia. A qualitative approach was employed involving ten public elementary school teachers. Data were collected through interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis. Triangulation of sources ensured the validity of findings. The data analysis involved reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that while teachers generally recognize the importance of CRT and possess a basic understanding of its principles, significant barriers hinder effective implementation. These include limited access to professional development, lack of institutional support, and low confidence in applying CRT strategies. Teachers expressed a strong need for culturally relevant materials and methods to better engage students in reflecting on their cultural identities. The study highlights the unique challenges faced by educators in remote areas, particularly in adapting CRT to local contexts. It emphasizes the importance of culturally inclusive pedagogical practices and reveals gaps in training and resources. There is an urgent need for targeted CRT training, improved school support, and policy initiatives that prioritize culturally inclusive teaching in remote settings. These measures are essential to empower teachers and foster equitable learning environments across diverse educational landscapes.
