Abstract

This research was the development research to produce science SWS(Students Work Sheet) based CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) that willimprove collaborative skills of students on the subject of elasticity and Hooke’s lawthat aims to: 1) validation SWS based CTL, 2) result of collaborative skills, 3) resultof learning activities. The research design was the design of 4-D model (define,design, develop, and destiminate) by Thiagarajan, Semmel and Semmel (1974)which modified into 3-D, 4-D model which is limited only at development stage. Thedestiminate stage is not implemented due to limited time and cost. The results of thisresearch were: validation SWS (Student Work Sheet) physics based on CTL(Contextual Teaching and Learning) reached 75,62%, with a valid category; resultof collaborative skills reached 84.93% with a very effective category; and result oflearning activities reached 91.18% so classified very practial.Keywords: SWS (Students Work Sheet), CTL, collaborative skills

Abstract

Condenser is an important component of Air Conditioning (AC) that serves as a heat exchanger. The heat generated by the condenser is relatively large, ranging from 37???????? - 62???????? . The amount of heat generated by the condenser can affect the human comfort. Therefore it is necessary to conduct research related Air Conditioning (AC) condenser which aims to know the heat generated by various tipes of condenser. This research was conducted by descriptive analysis by using variation of condenser tipe. From the variation of the tipe of condenser can be seen how the temperature generated by each tipe of condenser for 120 minutes of use time. The results showed that tipe 1 experienced 2 times temperature rise during measurement, the most drastic temperature rise occurred in the 65th minute with 62???????? . Condenser tipe 2 experienced 3 times temperature rise during measurement, the most drastic temperature rise occurred in the 95th minute with 45,4???????? . Condenser tipe 3 experienced 3 times temperature rise during measurement, the most drastic temperature rise occurred in the 25th minute with 55,1???????? . The results showed that there were differences in temperature produced by each condenser.Keywords: Air Conditioning, Condenser, Heat generated

Abstract

This article reported the result of an experimental research about the effect of POE (Predict-Observe-Explain) with Vee diagram on the straight motion learning at tenth grade SMA Negeri Pakusari in 2016/2017 academic year. The objectives of this research were to describe the learning activities during POE learning model with Vee diagram and to know the effect of POE learning model with Vee diagram to the cognitive learning outcomes in straight motion learning. The design of this research was post test only control group design. The data of the learning activities was collected by using observation and portfolio. Based on the data, the average of the learning activities was 71,37% which means active. The data of the cognitive learning outcomes in straight motion was collected by using post test. Then, the data collected was analyzed by using independent sample t-test (SPSS 20). The difference of the achievement between experiment class and control class is done by obtained significant value of 0.012. It means the result of this research proved that the use of POE learning model with Vee diagram significantly affected the cognitive learning outcomes at tenth grade SMA Negeri Pakusari. Abstract

The aim of this research is to study the effect of guided discovery learning model on critical thinking skills and motivation of students on learning materials elasticity and Hooke law. Learning physics in the classroom tends to be monotonous and less attractive where students are not involved directly in the find a concept, so that the students have not been motivated to active in learning. The effect critical thinking skills of students is low, because students did not experience their own facts that happened. This research is an experimental research. This research was conducted at SMAN 1 Jenggawah. The data are collected by test, questionnaire, interview, and documentation. To examine the hypothesis, this research used independent sample t-test with SPSS 22 version. According to independent sample t-test analysis in the critical thinking skills showed sig value (2-tailed) is 0,000 or < 0,05 then Ho is rejected, and for the motivation of student’s showed sig value (2-tailed) is 0,000 or < 0,05 then Ho is rejected. In conclusion, the guided discovery learning model has a significance influential to critical thinking skills and motivation of students on learning materials elasticity and Hooke law in Senior High School 1 Jenggawah

Abstract

This study was aimed at describing: (1) the expert validity of flipbook medialearning, (2) the users validity of flipbook media learning and (3) audience validityof flipbook media learning. This study was development research of 4-D method(define, design, develop, disseminate). The subjects of this study was students ofclass VIIIC Nuris junior high school Jember. The instruments used were sheet ofworksheet validation, sheet of student perfomance assement, sheet of studentresponse, and sheet of observstion. The result showed that: (1) expert validity offlipbook media learning was 86,47% with very valid category (2) user validity offlipbook media learning was 81,43% with valid category (3) audience validityvalidity of flipbook media learning was 90,39% with very valid, very effective,verycomplete, and can use without revision. Conclusion this reseach was flipbook medialearning on the material object motion in junior high school decent to be used as aphysics science of learning material in junior high school.Keywords : learning media, flipbook, motion

Abstract

The research has been done to know the characteristic of biodegradablecomposite material with leaf fiber Sanseviera trifascviata and bacterial cellulosematrix which has good mechanical properties so it is expected to be used as analternative to industrial raw materials. To achieve this goal the first step in thisresearch was making specimen with variation of fiber direction longitudinal andrandom. Then to know the characteristics of the material is done tensile .To determinethe biodegradability of the ingredients, the material was tested by the method of burialin the soil already available in the pot. From the research results obtained conclusionthe direction of fiber effect on the value of material strength, and modulus of materialelasticity. Material with the direction of longitudinal fiber has a value of tensilestrength and elastic modulus of 7.91 ± 1.46 and 3.70 ± 3.35 MPa, whereas in thedirection of random fiber that is 2.64 ± 0.26 and 0.90 ± 0, 86 MPa. In addition, thecomposite material that has been produced in this study is an environmentally friendlycomposite material due to biodegradable naturally.Keywords: Composites, Biodegradable, Sanseviera Trifasciata, Bakterial cellulose

Abstract

This research was analyzed the mistake of high school student in solving physics problem on matter of static fluid based on Polya, therefore this research was included in descriptive research. The purpose of this research was describe the level of student’s mistake in solving problems on matter of static fluid based on Polya and its causes. Respondents in this research were 98 students from SMAN A, SMAN B, and SMAN C, each taken one class from each school. The instrument used in this research was a test question that consists of 5 questions and interviews. The results of the research from the three schools indicated that students often make mistakes in completing the plan, then the second most common mistake was a mistakes in checking again, while the third mistake was a mistakes in making the plan, and the mistake that the students rarely made mistakes in understanding question.Key word: Analyzed of Mistake, Problem Solving based on Polya, Static Fluid

Abstract

This study aims to determine the water content of the wells of the people of Manduro Village, Kabuh District, Jombang Regency. Another objective is to know the impact of the water content of the well. This type of research is a case study by exploring various in-depth and actual information. Information gathering was carried out from March to April 2021. The methods used were literature review and land observation. The respondents used were 30 people from Manduro Village and 15 dug and drilled wells. Observation results show that the well is polluted by a fairly high lime content, resulting in considerable losses. The well is also polluted by the content of ammonia (NH3), metal iron (Fe) and metal manganese (Mn). The water quality in Menduro Village, in terms of physical water, contains a fishy smell and smell of rust, a cloudy color, and causes a yellow color attached to the bucket or water storage container, bathroom wall. It identifies that the water contains Fe (Iron) which exceeds the quality. Some of the water also smells of ammonia due to the location of the well which is close to the poultry house and also the disposal of industrial waste. Efforts are being made to make water treatment separate from the water content mixed by the mining soil, the unpleasant odor due to industrial waste, while the efforts of the mine owners have not been realized. water away from the earth mine. Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini membahas tentang fenomena gerak kendaraan bermotor di jalan Kabupaten Ngawi yang dapat dioptimalkan menjadi sumber belajar fisika SMA. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkaji karakteristik besaran dinamis dan karakteristik jenis gerak pada gerak kendaraan di jalan Kabupaten Ngawi serta pemanfaatannya sebagai desain sumber belajar fisika. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara mengukur kecepatan, jarak tempuh dan waktu tempuh kendaraan sepeda motor saat melintasi jalan menurun. Selanjutnya dilakukan interpretasi data dalam bentuk grafik. Hasil kajian karakteristik jenis gerak pada gerak kendaraan di jalan Kabupaten Ngawi menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik jenis gerak pada gerak kendaraan di jalan menurun di kabupaten ngawi adalah jenis gerak lurus berubah beraturan (GLBB) dipercepat, sedangkan karakteristik jenis gerak pada gerak kendaraan di jalan mendatar setelah melintasi lintasan menurun adalah jenis gerak lurus berubah beraturan (GLBB) diperlambat. Hasil kajian kinematika digunakan sebagai data utama rancangan sumber belajar yang berupa lembar kerja peserta didik (LKPD). Kegiatan pembelajaran dalam desain LKPD ini mampu melatih keterampilan observasi, pengelompokan, penggunaan angka atau bilangan (berhitung), prediksi, eksperimen, dan keterampilan. Kata kunci: kinematika; gerak kendaraan; sumber belajar. ABSTRACTThis study discusses the phenomenon of motorized vehicle motion on the Ngawi Regency road which can be optimized as a source of high school physics learning. The purpose of this study was to examine the characteristics of dynamic quantities and the characteristics of the type of motion in the motion of vehicles on the Ngawi Regency road and their use as a physics learning resource design. The type of research used is quantitative research with survey methods. This research was conducted by measuring the speed, distance, and travel time of a motorcycle when crossing a downhill road. Furthermore, the interpretation of the data in the form of graphs is carried out. The results of the study of the characteristics of the types of motion on the motion of vehicles on the road in Ngawi Regency show that the characteristics of the types of motion on the motion of vehicles on the downhill road in Ngawi Regency are the type of accelerated linear motion (GLBB), while the characteristics of the type of motion on the motion of the vehicle on a horizontal road after crossing the track. Downhill is a type of uniformly changing straight motion (GLBB) that is slowed down. The results of the kinematics study are used as the main data for the design of learning resources in the form of student worksheets (LKPD). The learning activities in the LKPD design can train observation, grouping, use of numbers (counting), prediction, experimentation, and communication skills. Keywords: kinematics; vehicle movement; learning resources.

Abstract

The rapid of education today requires empowerment skills to construct a science, one of the ways is adapting and training in a skill of problem-solving to face more advanced through learning and teaching materials. The purpose of this research is to know the difference skill of problem-solving based on learning science in junior high school in the different academic. Collecting data using rubric problem-solving skill given to students with academic distinction on April. The instrument of this research is a rubric problem-solving skill validated by the experts. The data were analysed with descriptive quantitative using Microsoft Exel. The result of data analysis of this research, there are some differences in problem-solving skills science of a junior high school of difference academic. A student who got the high score in academic tends to have better problem-solving skills.
