Abstract

The erticel is intends to determine the constraints and obstacles of the government in preserving mangroves as a means of disaster risk reduction in Kota Pariaman, mangroves have many benefits for the community, especially in disaster risk reduction in Kota Pariaman, but there are obstacles faced by the government in terms of mangrove conservation activities in the City. Pariaman, mangroves that grow around the coast in Kota Pariaman have been damaged by irresponsible persons, resulting in a reduction in mangrove forest land in Kota Pariaman even though Kota Pariaman is a city that has a fairly wide coastline and has a high level of disaster risk because it is a city. pariaman is located on the coast. This type of research is qualitative research using descriptive methods. Data collection techniques are carried out by means of interviews, observation and documentation studies, research instruments, namely the author himself, which the authors use, namely the interview guidelines that the author has prepared, the tools used in collecting data are cameras, cellphones, and voice recorders. For data collection using source triangulation. The results showed that there are several obstacles in mangrove conservation activities as a means of disaster risk reduction in Kota Pariaman, namely internal constraints, namely a lack of budget, lack of cooperation between the government and stakeholders who are both engaged in mangrove conservation, the external constraints are lack of public knowledge of the importance of mangrove forests for disaster risk reduction.

Abstract

This study aims to find out what are the constraints on the role of women in reducing the risk of the earthquake and tsunami disaster in Air Tawar Barat Village. women were the most vulnerable group when the earthquake and tsunami occurred. In the research conducted using a qualitative descriptive method. The technique of determining research informants by means of purposive sampling. Data collection techniques by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques are reduction, data presentation and conclusion. Technique of validity of research data is source triangulation. There are 2 obstacles faced by the role of women in reducing the risk of the earthquake and tsunami disaster in Air Tawar Barat Village, namely internal and external constraints. The results show that the internal constraints are that BPBD has not integrated gender issues into disaster risk reduction activities, while the external obstacle is the lack of understanding, awareness, vigilance and concern for the women community.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the preparedness of students in facing the risk of earthquake and tsunami disasters at MTsN 1 Kota Pariaman. This study is motivated by the lack of understanding of students in dealing with disaster risks, so that there are still many students who are not ready. This study is descriptive quantitative. The population in this study were students of class vii and viii MTsN 1 Kota Pariaman in the 2018/2019 academic year, totaling 489 students. Sampling in this study amounted to 220 students with an error rate of 5% and the sampling technique used the Random Sampling Test. The data was collected using a questionnaire with a Guttman scale measurement. The results of the study in general the readiness of students were in the very ready category, namely as many as 118 respondents or 53.6%. This proves that there has been an increase in student preparedness.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the approach to landslide disaster mitigation in Kenagarian Sungai Landia, IV Koto Subdistrict, which is carried out by the Agam District Disaster Management Agency and also by the Sungai Landia village government. This research method is a qualitative method with descriptive type. The research location is in the office of the Regional Disaster Management Agency of Agam Regency and the office of the Wali Nagari Sungai Landia. Data collection using caca interviews, observation, and study documentation. The research informants were several heads of fields, section heads in the Regional Disaster Management Agency of Agam Regency, Wali Nagari Sungai Landia and several staff, several high-ranking officials of the Landia River Kenagarian and the Kenagarian Sungai Landia community. The results showed that mitigation measures had been taken, but the mitigation measures had not been maximally implemented by the Agam District BPBD and the Sungai Landia village government.

Abstract

This research was conducted at the Fire Department of Padang City which aims to determine the effectiveness of performance, the obstacles that become obstacles and identify solutions to overcome obstacles in achieving performance in accordance with the objectives, targets and vision and mission of the Fire Department.This study uses a qualitative method using purposive sampling. The data collection process is carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation studies, while the data validity testing technique uses source triangulation with data analysis such as data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the research carried out were to explain the effectiveness of the performance of the Padang City Fire Service is not optimal, because there are still obstacles such as: due to lack of facilities and infrastructure for fire prevention and disaster prevention, funds for disaster management, and Human Resources (HR), it can be concluded that The effectiveness performance of the Padang City Fire Department has not been maximized in preventing fire hazards.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the implementation of e-Puskesmas service at Ambacang Community Health Center of Kuranji Subdistrict, Padang City, to know the supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of e-Puskesmas service at Ambacang Community Health Center. This research is a qualitative research with descriptive method. This research was conducted at Puskesmas Ambacang Kecamatan Kuranji Kota Padang. The research by purposive sampling. The data collected are secondary data and primary data through interview, observation and documentation study. Test data validity is done with trianggulasi then data analyzed by reducing data, display data the results of this study indicate that the implementation of e-Puskesmas service has not been implemented properly so that the implementation of the service becomes not effective. Supporting factors were found to be sufficient budget in applying e-Puskesmas, a change of paradigm of staff at Ambacang Community Health Center. Inhibiting factors are lack of adequate infrastructure availability, internet connectivity level is not appropriate, lack of socialization about e-Puskesmas service.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the still existing problems in Nagari Tuo Pariangan tourism objects in the form of development that has not been maximized. This study aims to find out and describe (1) the development of Nagari Tuo Pariangan tourism objects by the Youth and Sports Tourism Office of Tanah Datar Regency; (2) Factors that become obstacles and supporters in the development of Nagari Tuo Pariangan tourism objects. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive methods. The informants in this study were determined by purposive sampling technique. The data of this study are  primary and secondary data. These data are collected by conducting interviews, observation, and documentation studies. Techniques for testing the validity of data by source triangulation. While the data analysis techniques used are data collection, data reduction, data presentation and verification of conclusions. The results showed that the development carried out by the Tourism Office was limited to maintaining and repairing damaged tourism objects, providing assistance in the form of strawberry seeds and promoting tourism. Tourist attractions held are Pacu Jawi. The broken and damaged road has been repaired and some facilities and infrastructure have been added such as toilets and Mushallah. The souvenir center and souvenirs were just finished. HR development in the form of pokdarwis formation. The Tourism Office also empowers two residents as tour guides. The supporting factors in this development: 1) One of the most beautiful villages in the World. 2) Tourism infrastructure is very adequate. 3) The gift center has just been completed and there is a reading corner. 4) Damaged and hollow roads have been repaired 5) There is a tour group called Pokdarwis and Tourguide. Inhibiting factors in this regard: 1) Brousur about partially abandoned tourist objects and some damaged tourist objects that have not been repaired as well as tourist attraction is only pacu jawi. 2) Parking space is still inadequate. 3). Not yet complete gift shop.4) Pokdarwis is still not maximal in managing tourist attractions. 5) The cleanliness of tourist objects is still lacking and the janitor is only two people.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengelolaan kebun plasma kelapa sawit oleh KUD Air Manis dalam meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat Desa Sikapas Kecamatan Muara Batang Gadis. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif, teknik pengumpulan data primer dihimpun dengan observasi dan wawancara, data skunder dihimpun dari studi dokumentasi. Validitasi data menggunakan triangulasi metode dan trianggulasi sumber. Analisis data memakai metode deskriptif yaitu, melalui reduksi data, penguraian data, dan diakhiri kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menggambarkan bahwa pengelolaan kebun plasma kelapa sawit oleh KUD Air Manis Desa Sikapas Kecamatan Muara Batang Gadis Kabupaten Mandailing Natal masih belum dapat meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat meskipun diselenggarakan dengan sistem kerjasama kemitraan antara PT. Madina Agro Lestari dengan masyarakat Desa Sikapas melalui KUD Air Manis.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memuat perihal apa saja yang menjadi faktor pendukung dan penghambat kinerja BPBD Provinsi Sumatera Barat dalam mengurangi risiko bencana yang nantinya juga mempengaruhi efektivitas BPBD Provinsi Sumatera Barat itu Sendiri. Tujuan penelitians ini untuk mengetahui beberapa faktor pendukung dan penghambat yang mempengaruhi efektivitas kapasitas kelembagaan BPBD Provinsi Sumatera Barat dalam upaya mengurangi risiko bencana. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif. Lokasi penelitian tersebar yaitu dikantor BPBD Provinsi Sumatera Barat, kediaman informan dan via telepon. Pengumpulan data menggunakan cara wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Informan penelitiannya adalah beberapa kepala bidang, kepala seksi dan staf diBPBD Provinsi Sumatera Barat serta beberapa anggota forum dan non governmental organization pengurangan risiko bencana. Hasil penelitian yang ditemukan yaitu contoh kasus, faktor pendukung dan penghambat, dari situlah dapat diambil kesimpulan mengenai seberapa efektifkah BPBD Provinsi Sumatera Barat dalam mengurangi risiko bencana.

Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan temuan penelitian dalam kaitannya dengan peran Satpol PP Kota Padang dalam penegakan peraturan daerah tentang adaptasi kebiasaan baru. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Dengan demikian informan penelitian secara purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi dan studi pustaka juga minimisasi penyajian data sehingga dapat di kesimpulan yang akurat dari data tersebut. Hasil penelitian melihat bahwa peran satpol pp Kota Padang untuk penegakan peraturan daerah untuk adaptasi dengan kebiasaan baru masih kurang pada peran Satpol PP dan kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat untuk mematuhi protokol kesehatan.
