Abstract

This study aims to look at the contribution of work engagement to employee well-being for lecturers at state Islamic religious universities. This study uses a quantitative approach using survey methods. The data collection technique in this study was cluster sampling with a total of 112 lecturers at state Islamic universities in Indonesia. Methods of data analysis using simple regression with SPSS Statistics 20 for windows. Based on the results of the hypothesis test, the R square value was 0.260 and p = 0.000 (p < 0.05), so it can be concluded that work engagement contributes 26.0% to employee well-being of lecturers at state Islamic universities.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the contribution of the regulatory focus on employee well-being at state university lecturers. Regulatory focus consists of prevention focus and promotion focus which are considered variables in research because they are multidimensional constructs. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The data collection technique was carried out by cluster sampling. The subjects of this study were lecturers at state universities in Indonesia with a total of 98 respondents. Data analysis used multiple linear regression analysis with SPSS 20 for windows. The hypothesis results show that the prevention focus variable partially contributes to employee wellbeing with P (0.000 <0.05). The promotion focus variable partially has no contribution to employee wellbeing with P (0.480 > 0.05). Meanwhile, prevention focus and promotion focus simultaneously contributed to employee wellbeing with P (0.001<0.05). The result of the R square value shows 0.150. This means that the prevention and promotion variables simultaneously contribute to the employee well-being variable by 15.0%. While the remaining 85.0% is influenced by other variables outside the research.

Abstract

Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) pada karyawan dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, salah satunya adalah Perceived Organizational Support (POS). Dimana  OCB dapat berdampak positif kepada keberhasilaan organisasi. Penelitian ini mengkaji kontribusi antara perceived organizational support dan organizational citizenship behavior pada karyawan NGO di Bukittinggi. Pendekatan kuantitaif dengan metode survei digunakan dalam studi ini. Subjek yang diambil berjumlah 45 orang karyawan NGO yang dipilih dengan teknik accidental sampling. Instrumen penelitian ini berupa Skala Survey Perceived Organizational Support dan Skala Organizational Citizenship Behavior yang telah melalui uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Analisis regresi sederhana dilakukan untuk menjawab hipotesis penelitian. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perceived organizational support memiliki kontribusi yang positif dan signifikan terhadap organizational citizenship behavior, sebagaimana ditunjukkan oleh nilai koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 0,861 atau 86,1% dan dengan signifikansi p=0,000 0,05. Selain itu, hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan sumbangan dalam pengembangan strategi manajerial, khususnya dalam meningkatkan kinerja dari karyawan melalui perubahan pada lingkungan kerja yang suportif.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kontribusi Person-Organization Fit (P-O Fit) terhadap emloyee engagement pada karyawan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah karyawan lembaga filantropi pada salah satu Kota di Sumatera Barat dengan jumlah sampel 45 orang. Metode pengambilan sampel menggunakan Accidental sampling. Pengukuran kedua variabel dilakukan menggunakan skala psikologi Employee Engagement Scale yang dirancang oleh shuck pada tahun 2016 dan diadaptasi ke versi bahasa indonesia oleh Astari pada tahun 2022. Variabel P-O Fit diukur dengan skala P-O Fit yang dikembangkan oleh Cable DeRue pada tahun 2002 dan di adaptasi ke bahasa indonesia oleh Supeli Creed pada tahun 2013. Analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi linier sederhana, dengan bantuan SPSS Version 25 for windows. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis didapatkan nilai p sebesar 0,00 (p0,05). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat kontribusi positif dan signifikan variabel P-O Fit terhadap  employee engagement pada karyawan lembaga filantropi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji hubungan antara digital mindset dan work engagement. Pendekatan penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Subjek penelitian adalah generasi X yang berprofesi sebagai guru SD, pemilihan subjek penelitian dilakukan menggunakan teknik total sampling. Data diukur menggunakan alat ukur Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES-9) guna mengukur work engagement, serta alat ukur digital mindset yang dikembangkan oleh Galatia (2023) berdasarkan lima aspek utama dari Lessiak. Dan data di analisis menggunakan uji korelasi pearson product moment dengan bantuan SPSS 27 for windows. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan sebesar 0,661 (p 0,001) antara digital mindset dan work engagement. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa guru dengan  digital mindset yang lebih baik cenderung memiliki keterlibatan kerja yang lebih tinggi. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pengembangan digital mindset untuk mendukung keterlibatan kerja guru dalam menghadapi tantangan pendidikan berbasis teknologi.

Abstract

Peningkatan jumlah pengguna dan durasi penggunaan smartphone pada mahasiswa memunculkan kekhawatiran terhadap dampak negatif yang dapat terjadi. Phubbing merupakan perilaku mengabaikan lawan bicara dengan menggunakan smartphone. Tujuan studi ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh fear of missing out (FOMO) terhadap perilaku phubbing dengan adiksi smartphone sebagai variabel mediator. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui metode survey. Populasi penelitian adalah mahasiswa di Sumatera Barat. Sampel diperoleh melalui teknik cluster sampling dengan jumlah sampel 304 orang. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari Generic Phubbing Scale (GPS), Online Fear of Missing Out (ON-FoMO) Scale, dan Smartphone Addiction Scale – Short Version (SAS-SV). Uji hipotesis dilakukan dengan analisis regresi pada model mediasi sederhana. Hasil penelitian ini adalah FOMO dapat memiliki pengaruh positif yang signifikan terhadap adiksi smartphone (B = 0,462) dan adiksi smartphone memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap phubbing (B = 0,463). FOMO memiliki pengaruh langsung (B = 0,172) dan pengaruh tidak langsung (B = 0,214) terhadap phubbing yang dimediasi oleh adiksi smartphone secara parsial.

Abstract

Palm oil plantations in Indonesia have experienced significant development in improving the country's economic growth and boosting the people's economy. Palm oil plantation crops are one of the plantations that have played an important role for the community in Merangin Regency. This study aims to describe how resilient palm oil farmers are in facing the problems of palm oil plantations in Merangin Regency. This research is qualitative research with a case study approach. Data collection from the research findings was carried out through observations and in-depth interviews with palm oil farmers in Pinang Merah Village and Rantau Panjang Village. Data analysis was conducted qualitatively through stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The analysis results revealed several indicators of resilience in oil palm management, including the commitment of oil palm farmers, the controls implemented, the challenges faced, and the impact of oil palm plantations on the lives of oil palm farmers.

Abstract

In Indonesia, formal foreign language learning typically begins in school. Among the various challenges that students often encounter, vocabulary acquisition is a significant one. An adequate vocabulary base is crucial as it enables learners to effectively comprehend linguistic input (through listening and reading) and to produce coherent output (in speaking and writing). Therefore, this study investigated the effectiveness of song-based and storytelling-based learning methods on English vocabulary acquisition among first-grade elementary school students. A quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design was employed with 30 participants, divided into three groups: a song-based learning group (n=10), a storytelling-based learning group (n=10), and a control group (n=10) that received no specific intervention. Results indicated that the song-based learning group achieved the highest mean gain score in vocabulary acquisition (61.2), compared to the storytelling-based learning group (45.0) and the control group (20.0). Statistical analyses confirmed significant differences in vocabulary acquisition gain scores among the groups. Post-hoc tests revealed that both intervention groups performed significantly better than the control group. Although the song-based learning group showed a descriptively higher mean gain score than the storytelling group, this difference was not statistically significant. These findings suggest that incorporating songs can effectively enhance engagement and retention in early English language learning.
