Abstract

The nutritional status of children significantly impacts their overall health and development, intertwined with socioeconomic factors. Adequate nutrition is essential for cognitive development and academic performance. Despite its importance, malnutrition remains prevalent among Indonesian children, with varying degrees of underweight, overweight, and obesity. This study utilized the PDCA method to screen nutritional status among students at SDN 01 Ciherang, West Java. Anthropometric measurements revealed diverse nutritional statuses, emphasizing the need for collaborative efforts among students, educators, and parents to implement interventions for healthier dietary habits and long-term health outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the role of the principal's managerial competence in improving teacher discipline. Factors and factors that hinder and support the principal's managerial competence in improving teacher discipline at SD Inpres Tompotana, Takalar Regency. This research was carried out in Takalar, where it was at SD Inpres Tompotana, Takalar Regency, which took place from May 27 2023 to July 27 2023. The method of collecting data in this study used interviews, documentation and observation. The subjects in this study were school principals and teachers. The results of research conducted by researchers, that the role of the principal in improving teacher discipline, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors of the Principal's Managerial Competence in Improving Teacher Discipline at SD Inpres Tompotana, Takalar Regency. This is very important for teacher independence through various forms of training, namely with the guidance and motivation of the Principal towards the teacher and also from the awareness of the teacher himself in developing the mandate and responsibility as educators who should be an example, a role model for their students, self-discipline training so that Principals, fellow teachers and students can carry out their obligations wholeheartedly, namely arriving on time, being disciplined from various aspects of the school environment so as to create an effective and time-disciplined school. This research uses qualitative research methods.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang karya seniman Sumatera Barat yang mengangkat ide tentang Nude (ketelanjangan) ditijau dari perspektif budaya di Sumatera Barat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian komparatif yang bertrujuan membandingkan suatu variabel (objek penelitian), antara subjek yang berbeda atau waktu yang berbeda dan menemukan hubungan sebab akibatnya. Metode yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini merujuk pada metodologi penelitian kualitatif dan kuantitatif, selain itu juga menggunakan pendekatan normatif dan empiris. Kemudian untuk laporan penelitian, data-data yang terhimpun disajikan berdasarkan kutipan data berupa kata/ kalimat maupun data berupa naskah wawancara, catatan lapangan, foto, video, dokumen pribadi, memo ataupun dokumen resmi lainnya. Evelyna Dianita dan Afianto Arifin merupakan pelukis di Sumatera Barat yang berkarya mengangkat konsep Nude atau ketelanjangan, karya yang dihadirkan sangat pornografi dan dibuat sedetail mungkin. Kehadiran karya yang bertema Nude ini tentu mendapatkan pro dan kontra di tengah-tengah masyarakat di Sumatera Barat yang menjunjung tinggi norma-norma agama, adat, dan budaya. Kehadiran karya seniman lukis di Sumatera Barat ini yang mengangkat tema Nude tidak banyak jumlahnya, namun kehadiran karya tersebut merupakan karya pesanan dan bukan untuk dipublikasikan, dan semua itu karena kebutuhan dan faktor ekonomi.Kata Kunci: Lukisan Nude, Komparasi, Budaya, Sumatera Barat

Abstract

Stress is a common mental health problem among medical students due to academic demands. Physical activity is known to reduce stress through physiological and psychological mechanisms. This study aims to examine the relationship between physical activity and stress levels among medical students at Tarumanagara University class of 2022–2023. This research employed an analytical cross-sectional design. A total of 123 respondents who met the inclusion criteria completed the physical activity (Baecke Questionnaire) and stress level (Perceived Stress Scale-10) questionnaires. Bivariate analysis was conducted using the chi-square test. The results showed that 95.1% of respondents experienced moderate to severe stress, while only 15.4% regularly exercised. A significant relationship was found between physical activity and stress level (p = 0.000). The odds ratio of 13.600 indicates that students who exercised regularly were 13 times more likely to experience lower stress compared to those who did not. This study highlights the role of regular physical activity as a protective factor in managing stress among medical students

Abstract

Abstract : Scientific approach is a teaching strategy which is used in 2013 curriculum in Indonesia. This approach can be implemented in all subjects at senior high school include English. Although scientific approach offers significant effectiveness in teaching and learning process, there were still some challenges faced by English teachers in each five phases. This qualitative descriptive study   aims investigating and describing the challenges and solutions in implementing scientific approach experienced by English teachers in Senior high school in Jambi. The data were collected through interview with English teachers. The findings showed that the teachers faced some similar and different challenges in implementing it. Almost in each phase, the teachers faced challenges related to students’ low motivation in learning English because of some factors such as having limited number of vocabulary, getting difficult in constructing idea to do tasks and having no interest in the topics. Then, the teachers also try to do some solutions for solving all the challenges such as giving example from real life, motivating the students in learning English, give them reward or additional score for whom participate actively, listing new vocabulary, and allowing students to asking by mixing Indonesian and English.Key words: Scientific Approach, 2013 Curriculum, Challenges, Senior High School

Abstract

Indonesia is located along the Sea Lines of Communication (SLoC), a major maritime trade route passing through the Strait of Malacca and the South China Sea. Due to its highly strategic location for trade connectivity, many ships dock at Indonesian ports and operate their onboard generators while berthed, leading to increased CO₂ emissions and noise pollution. Therefore, it is necessary to develop port electricity infrastructure in the form of Onshore Power Supply (OPS) to replace the function of ship generators during docking. The OPS concept presents a new business opportunity that can improve port services while reducing CO₂ emissions and noise pollution. The business concept is developed using the Business Model Canvas (BMC) framework by Osterwalder (2010) along with supporting tools. The financial model is calculated using the Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) method to determine the variables and tariff, and is compared with the cost of electricity generated by ship generators during berthing. Using the BMC method, nine building blocks are identified to describe the OPS business scheme, along with an empathy map to develop a customer-centric business perspective. Based on the financial analysis using the DCF method, with an OPS tariff of IDR 2,466/kWh, the project yields a Payback Period of 8.11 years, an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 11.63%, and a positive Net Present Value (NPV) of IDR 9,346,693,566. In comparison, the estimated cost of ship-based power generation is IDR 4,249/kWh, which is more expensive than the OPS tariff. The results of this study indicate that the OPS business concept is feasible to be implemented in Indonesia.

Abstract

The development of Arabic learning materials requires a strong theoretical foundation so that the materials can help students understand the language effectively. This article aims to explain the role of linguistics, psycholinguistics, and sociolinguistics as the theoretical basis in the preparation of Arabic learning materials. The method used in this article is a literature study by reviewing various sources related to the development of language learning materials. The results of the study show that linguistics provides an understanding of the structure of the Arabic language, including sounds, word formation, sentence structure, and meaning. Psycholinguistics helps explain the process of language learning experienced by students so that learning materials can be designed according to their abilities and stages of development. Sociolinguistics explains the relationship between language and society so that learning materials can be adapted to the social and cultural context of language use. By integrating these three perspectives, Arabic learning materials can be developed in a more systematic, understandable, and relevant way to meet the needs of students.

Abstract

Abstract The development of digital technology has changed the way society communicates and accesses information. Nowadays, information is not only obtained through television broadcasts but also through various digital platforms such as social media. As a public broadcasting institution, Televisi Republik Indonesia (TVRI) faces challenges in producing Instagram feed content. This study aims to analyze the creative process of graphic design and identify obstacles and solutions in the production of TVRI Nasional's Instagram feed content. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques through active participation, observation, and in-depth interviews. The theory used is Wallas' theory, which has four stages: preparation, incubation, illumination, and verification. The results show that the creative process of graphic design in producing TVRI Nasional's Instagram feed content runs adaptively. The creative process stages based on Wallas' theory are applied flexibly according to the characteristics of the @tvrinasional and @tvrisport accounts. The creative process carried out by graphic designers not only affects production but also impacts visual quality, information accuracy, and audience reception of the content. The obstacles encountered include technical issues related to network and design applications, high workload, and semantic barriers due to differences in understanding meanings. These obstacles were overcome through the implementation of SOPs, updating work equipment, utilizing design banks, setting production priorities, and strengthening team coordination The recommendations from this study are that TVRI improve the effectiveness of time management, optimize the use of work equipment, and improve coordination.Keywords: Creative process, Graphic Design, Instagram Feed, Social Media, TVRI        Abstraksi Perkembangan teknologi digital mengubah cara masyarakat dalam berkomunikasi dan mengakses informasi. Saat ini, informasi tidak hanya diperoleh melalui siaran televisi, namun juga berbagai platform digital seperti media sosial. Sebagai lembaga penyiaran publik, Televisi Republik Indonesia (TVRI) menghadapi tantangan dalam memproduksi konten feed Instagram. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis proses kreatif desain grafis serta mengidentifikasi hambatan dan solusi dalam produksi konten feed Instagram TVRI Nasional. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui partisipasi aktif, observasi, serta wawancara mendalam. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori Wallas memiliki empat tahapan, yaitu persiapan, Inkubasi, Iluminasi, dan Verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa proses kreatif desain grafis dalam produksi konten feed Instagram TVRI Nasional berjalan secara adaptif. Tahapan proses kreatif berdasarkan teori Wallas diterapkan secara fleksibel sesuai karakteristik akun @tvrinasional dan @tvrisport. Proses kreatif yang dilakukan desainer grafis tidak hanya memengaruhi produksi, tetapi juga berdampak pada kualitas visual, akurasi informasi, dan penerimaan audiens terhadap konten. Hambatan yang muncul mencakup kendala teknis terkait jaringan dan aplikasi desain, beban kerja tinggi, serta hambatan semantik akibat perbedaan pemahaman makna. Hambatan tersebut diatasi melalui penerapan SOP, pembaruan perangkat kerja, pemanfaatan bank desain, penentuan prioritas produksi, dan penguatan koordinasi tim. Saran dari penelitian ini adalah TVRI meningkatkan efektivitas manajemen waktu, mengoptimalkan penggunaan peralatan kerja, dan memperbaiki koordinasi.Kata Kunci:  Desain Grafis, Instagram Feed, Media Sosial, Proses Kreatif, TVRI

Abstract

Desa Mammi menekankan pentingnya moderasi beragama sebagai langkah untuk menjaga harmoni di antara pemeluk agama yang berbeda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi bentuk upaya pemberdayaan masyarakat di Desa Mammi yang berbasis pada implementasi moderasi beragama. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, yang bertujuan untuk mendapatkan pemahaman mendalam mengenai praktik dan persepsi masyarakat terhadap moderasi beragama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat Desa Mammi memiliki pemahaman yang kuat tentang moderasi beragama, yang memungkinkan mereka mengatasi perbedaan dengan sikap moderat. Selain itu, penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya kesadaran akan nilai-nilai multibudaya yang menghargai perbedaan dan kemajemukan. Sikap toleransi, moderasi beragama, dan penolakan terhadap kekerasan sangat diperlukan dalam kehidupan multikultural. Dengan demikian, upaya pemberdayaan masyarakat yang berbasis moderasi beragama dapat menjadi model dalam menjaga harmoni sosial dan menciptakan interaksi yang adil antar individu di desa tersebut
