Abstract

Health mental is a crucial factor for student which needs attention in the process of teaching and learning. Moreover, the pandemic of Covid-19 has shifted the process of teaching and learning into online learning. Undeniably, that condition has pushed students to have more activities of independent learning or self-regulated learning. This research investigates the effect of self-regulated learning toward students’ academic stress in Malang. There were 99 students coming from 19 Universities in Malang who participate as the subject of this study. The quantitative method was used in this study. To collect the data, survey was done in the form of online questionnaire consisting of several questions. The Likert scale was used to gain the score of each question. The result shows that self -regulated learning does not affect too much on students’ academic stress. The data resulted from the questionnaire from 100 respondents show only 27% of correlation. This matter is caused by another influential aspects such as the lack motivation of the students, time management, and unsupportive relation of people around. Based on three aspects which become the focus in self-regulated learning, the respondents were quite good in doing metacognition by utilizing to-do list in learning. However, they also show that the learning and teaching condition is less supportive to gain more achievement which drives students to have lack of motivation. The habit of respondents also show that they tend to solve the problem on their own which bring them into their academic stress. Furthermore, their time management and unsupportive environment can also be the trigger of academic stress.

Abstract This study aims to develop teachers' skills in conducting research on the learning environment as a reflection to create a positive classroom emotional climate. The teacher conducts research to analyze students' perceptions of emotions in the learning environment. This research is based on community service activities for teachers related to emotions in the learning environment. The activity involved 48 teachers, of which 14 teachers carried out survey research involving 1049 students from the junior and senior high school levels. The research conducted by the teacher used a survey with the Classroom Emotional Climate (CEC) instrument consisting of nine dimensions, namely Care, Control, Clarity, Challenge, Motivation, Consolidation, Collaboration, Attitude, and Behavior. Almost all dimensions get positive student responses with high (3.41-4.20) and very high (4.21-5.00) classifications. Teachers who are involved in conducting research, have implemented good emotional management. The results of reflection on student perceptions have helped teachers to carry out learning and manage interactions to create positive learning. Abstract

The objective of this research was to evaluate human resources development through scholarship in the Ministry of Public Works and Housing of Indonesia (MPWHI). The study investigated the planning, implementation, and output of the MPWHI scholarship program by method of document analysis, and personal interviews with employees directly involved in the scholarship program at MPWHI. The program evaluation model known as ‘Context, Input, Process, and Product’ (CIPP) was employed to analyze and evaluate the scholarship program. The 50 participants of the study included policy makers, scholarship students, and other stakeholders. Results indicated that while the purpose of the program has been outlined in formal documentation, it is not currently well implemented. Furthermore, the national education regulation (UU No. 20/2003), states that the curriculum of official education should be designed as a professional skills program, while the study concluded that in practice, it focuses on knowledge, rather than skills. Also, it appeared challenging to assess graduates’ competencies and professionalism in the workforce. Improvements in planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluation of scholarship programs would be beneficial. Despite these shortcomings, the results showed that the scholarship program at MPWHI has contributed significantly to enhancing the quality and competencies of human resources. This research is intended to contribute to the improvement of scholarship programs in government organizations.

Abstract

In the flipped classroom, students must have independent learning behavior to achieve optimal competence. However, the reality is that students' independence in learning is not good, so a teacher is supposed to carry out knowledge that can facilitate the formation of student learning independence. One of the lessons that can increase students' learning independence is the Flipped Classroom model with the help of interactive e-books. This study aims to conduct a literature review on the importance of improving student learning independence through the Flipped Classroom model based on Interactive e-books. The SLR (Systematic Literature Review) method was chosen in this study. Data collection was carried out by documenting and reviewing all articles on learning independence that had similar research in this report. A total of 15 journal articles obtained from Google Scholar with the help of the publish and perish application were used in this study. Based on the literature review, it can be concluded that increasing the ability to learn independently is needed by students in learning, especially in online education with the interactive e-book-based flipped classroom model. Independent learning has a positive influence on students in education.

Abstract

Globalization influences various aspects, including education, so learning is needed to improve skills and quality of life abilities. This research aims to develop 21st-century skills through project-based learning (PjBL) and STEAM (Science, Engineering, Technology, Art, and mathematics). Participants in this study were 40 students in eleventh grade in the science program. This study used qualitative methods, which focused on the integration and implications of PjBL with the STEAM model on salt hydrolysis and buffer solutions. The STEAM project is a mockup of electrical conductivity and water purification on salt hydrolysis and hydroponic plant cultivation for projects on buffer solution—data collection techniques through interviews, reflective journals, classroom observations, and teacher diaries. The results showed that students were interested and motivated in making STEAM projects. 21st Century skills consisting of life and career skills can be seen from the initiative and a sense of responsibility in doing projects, learning and innovating skills seen from student creativity and innovation, and technology skills seen through marketing project creative ideas through information media and technology. Other implications, such as curiosity, motivation, and confidence, arise in the learning process. Based on its integration and implications, the STEAM approach with PjBL can be used as an alternative to improve 21st-century skills in chemistry learning
