Abstract

Lomek fish is a typical fish that is often found in the province of Riau, one of which is in Dumai. The stable production of lomek fishery in Dumai makes it necessary to have more management so that the catches obtained by fishermen are not only sold in the form of raw processing, but also in ready-to-sell products. The high potential of fish resources makes several products appear, one of which is churros made from lomek fish. This product diversification is also expected to improve the economy in Dumai City through MSMEs. The purpose of this study is to recommend a fish churros business development strategy using SWOT analysis. The results obtained are fish churros business based on SWOT analysis is in quadrant 1, namely the processing business must carry out aggressive efforts by taking advantage of strengths and opportunities, strategic recommendations that can be carried out are food certification, product registration in delivery services, collaboration and marketing in several markets. place, adding some variety to the taste of the product and providing price promotions to consumersKey Words: SWOT; Strategy; Business; Diversiification

Abstract

Trammel net dirancang dan dirakit menggunakan perhitungan yang matematis. Kajian tersebut belum banyak dilakukan di Indonesia. Tujuannya adalah merancang kebutuhan bahan perakit trammel net dan menganalisis hanging ratio, gaya tenggelam dan gaya apung pada trammel net. Penelitian dilakukan pada Oktober 2018 sampai dengan Februari 2019 di Politeknik Kelautan dan Perikanan Dumai, Riau. Trammel net dibagi menjadi 2, yaitu trammel net yang dibuat nelayan disebut jaring TNA dan trammel net yang dibuat oleh peniliti disebut jaring TNB. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah deskriptif. Kebutuhan konstruksi trammel net dalam satu piece dianalisis dan dibandingkan dengan ukuran baku perakitan trammel net (SNI 01-7237-2006). Hasilnya, jaring TNA dalam satu piece panjangnya 25,3 m memiliki jumlah pelampung 48 buah, pemberat 117 buah, panjang tali PE 25 m. Kemudian, jaring TNB dengan panjang 32,1 m membutuhkan pelampung 66 buah, pemberat 156 buah, panjang tali PE 32 m. Hanging ratio, gaya tenggelam dan gaya apung pada kedua tipe jaring memiliki hasil yang sesuai dengan ukuran baku perakitan trammel net.Kata Kunci: Hanging ratio; Konstruksi; Trammel net

Abstract

Purse seine memiliki konstruksi utama yaitu jaring, terbagi atas sayap, badan dan kantong. Konstruksi utamanya sangat mempengaruhi panjang, tinggi purse seine pada saat dioperasikan dan metode pengoperasiannya. Selain itu, ukurannya juga mempengaruhi seberapa panjang tali ris atas-bawah dan  tali cincin akan dipasang pada purse seine. Penelitian ini penting dilakukan untuk memastikan ukuran konstruksi utama purse seine Sibolga telah sesuai dengan Standarisasi Nasional Indonesia nomor 8186:2015. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui ikan target utama purse seine Sibolga, menentukan panjang purse seine terpasang dan menganalisis karakteristik bentuk purse seine menggunakan ukuran utama konstruksi purse seine Sibolga. Penelitian dilakukan pada Bulan Januari-Maret 2020 di PPN Sibolga. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan adalah observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa persentasi ikan target utama yang didapatkan adalah tongkol (58%) dan cakalang (42%). Panjang purse seine Sibolga terpasang memiliki nilai sesuai dengan ketentuan yang ditetapkan dalam SNI 8186:2015, yaitu 400 m. Karakteristik bentuk purse seine Sibolga memiliki nilai a/l 0,42; b/l 0,42; c/l 0,11; l/m 0,80; dan h/l 0,62.

Abstract

Purse seine merupakan alat tangkap yang memberikan kontribusi besar dalam produksi hasil perikanan tangkap di PPN Sibolga. Produksi hasil tangkapan purse seine dari tahun 2015-2019 sebanyak 119.587 ton, yang didominasi oleh ikan pelagis. Untuk mencegah atau mengurangi kebusukan terhadap ikan serta kemungkinan terjadinya penurunan kualitas hasil tangkapan yang mengakibatkan hilangnya harga jual ikan maka perlu memperhatikan cara penanganan hasil tangkapan yang baik ketika di atas kapal. Penelitian dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas ikan hasil tangkapan purse seine menggunakan uji organoleptik. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada tanggal 01 Maret sampai dengan 30 Juni 2021 di kapal KM. Serasi putra yang mendaratkan hasil tangkapan di Pelabuhan Perikanan Nusantara (PPN) Sibolga. Metode organoleptik digunakan dengan lembar score sheet penilaian untuk menganalisa secara langsung kelayakan saat melakukan penanganan ikan hasil tangkapan di atas kapal sampai setelah didaratkan. Data primer dikumpulkan dengan cara pengamatan dan wawancara kepada awak kapal. Berdasarkan perhitungan mengenai ketidaklayakan dan kesesuaian kualitas hasil tangkapan kapal purse seine yaitu berupa kualitas mata ikan, insang dan daging diperoleh nilai rata-rata kesesuaian sebesar 59% (cukup baik).

Abstract

Perikanan pukat cincin merupakan alat tangkap yang banyak digunakan diperairan Sibolga. Keberlanjutan usaha penangkapan ikan harus diuji dengan analisa kelayakan usaha agar usaha mendapatkan keuntungan dan berjalan untuk jangka panjang. Penelitian dilakukan pada Bulan Juli hingga Agustus 2020 dengan studi pada KM Daya Cipta bertempat di Pelabuhan Perikanan Nusantara Sibolga. Data yang dikumpulkan adalah data primer dan data sekunder. Modal usaha purse seine terbagi 2 yaitu modal awal dan modal operasional. modal awal usaha purse seine senilai Rp.2.941.000.000 untuk kapal berukuran 77 GT dan modal operasional senilai Rp.60.000.000 untuk 12 hari pertrip layar. Hasil tangkapan utama purse seine adalah Tuna, Cakalang, dan Tongkol, sedangkan ikan tangkapan sampingan yang tertangkap beragam jenis seperti ikan Serai, Selar, Jabung, Pari, Salam dan Barakuda. Total biaya tetap yang dikeluarkan pada usaha kapal purse seine sebesar Rp. 488.400.000/ Tahun. Penerimaan hasil tangkapan KM Daya Cipta dalam sekali trip operasional adalah sebesar Rp. 151.471.000. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan keuntungan operasional usaha purse seine pada KM Daya Cipta sebesar Rp. 76.348.200. bahwa nilai NVP KM Daya Cipta dalam satu tahun adalah Rp. 333.291.064 dan dengan nilai Net B/C 1,138. Hasil perhitungan analisis investasi dengan nilai Net B/C ratio > 1, dapat disimpulkan bahwa investasi layak dilaksanakan.

This fact illustrates the weakness of the catch data collection system that occours. The effect is low data accuracy and requires a longer time in reporting. Data collection system based on technology will facilitate the process and important to do. The purpose of this study was to design a data collection system for fish catches landed at Fish Landing Base of Dumai. The research was conducted in February-June 2020 in Dumai city. The method used observation, interviews and literature review. Data analysis is used the process of analyzing data, literature review, analysis of existing systems, analysis of new systems and system design using data flow diagrams (DFD), entity relationship diagrams (ERD) and HIPO. System design starts from input, output and database design. The data design inputted is fishermen data, fishing gear, fish production and price of day, fish distribution, customer data and data employees. The output data are reports of user data, fishing gear specifications, fish production and fish distribution. The database is structured and presented using a flow chart. Abstract

Fishery management is an activity that must be carried out to achieve sustainable fisheries. Fisheries management using the Ecosystem Approach to Fisheries Management (EAFM) approach is the sustainable use of fishery resources and protection of fish stocks in nature. One of the objectives of fisheries management in social and economic aspects is how fisheries can ensure the socio-economic welfare of the fishing community. Using fishing gear that is not environmentally friendly is one of the triggers for social conflict between fishermen and the uncertain selling price when the peak season of fish impacted the fishermen's economy. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to examine the socio-economic domain indicators from the aspect of EAFM-based coastal and marine resource ecosystem management. This research was conducted from January to February 2021, located in Simeulue District, Sub-District East Simeulue. The data collection method used in the study was interviews and field surveys. The determination of respondents is done by using a gradual sampling technique or stratified random sampling. Data analysis uses an ordinal-based Likert score of 1,2,3 for each indicator, namely the economic domain, fishery household income (RTP), savings ratio, asset ownership, and the social domain, namely stakeholder participation fisheries conflict and the use of local knowledge in fish resource management. Management status in East Simeulue District assessed the aggregate value of the economic domain in the medium category with a score of 48.3. Fishermen still earn less than the minimum wage, while in the social domain, it is in the excellent category with a score of 100 because fishermen, institutions, and related agencies work with each other. Keywords:EAFMEcosystem approachFishery management

Abstract

Purse seine catches that have high economic value are big pelagic whose distribution of fishing areas and landing sites are poorly known. This study aims to find out the distribution of large pelagic purse seine catches based on WPP and their landing ports. The data used is data of purse seine catch from the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries of the Republic of Indonesia in 2019 and 2020 to be analyzed descriptively. The results showed that four big pelagic species caught by purse seines: tuna (Thunnus sp.), mackerel (Scomberomorus commerson), marlin (Istiophorus platypterus) and swordfish (Xiphias gladius). Tuna is caught in all WPP and landed at 62 fishing ports. Mackerel was also caught in all WPP and landed at 74 fishing ports. Marlin were caught at 10 WPP and landed at 27 fishing ports. Swordfish were caught in 4 WPP and landed at 5 fishing ports. Knowledge on distribution of big pelagic purse seine catches based on WPP and landing ports can be used as a basis for evaluating measured fishery policies in terms of catch landing relating to fishing areas.
