Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas IV SDN 066 Halimun. Pada proses pembelajaran di SDN 066 Halimun belum mencapai hasil yang memuaskan, karena pada metode yang digunakan oleh pendidik kurang maksimal dalam pembelajaran, sehingga partisipasi peserta didik selalu pasif. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahuai proses dan hasil kemampuan membaca pemahaman dengan menggunakan strategi Directed Reading Thinking Activity (DRTA). Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Penelitian Tindikan Kelas (PTK). Desain penelitian yang dipakai mengacu kepada model Kemmis dan MC.Taggart, yaitu model spiral yang dimulai dengan: 1) Perencanaan (planning), 2) Tindakan (acting), 3) Observasi (observing), dan 4) Refleksi (reflecting). Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV SDN 066 Halimun yang berjumlah 29 peserta didik.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low ability of students in writing short stories. This is due to the lack of awareness of educators in choosing the right model and learning media. The use of good learning models and media can improve the learning outcomes of learners. One of the learning models that can be used is Project Based Learning (PjBL) and Plotagon Story media in learning to create short stories in class XI students of SMAN 22 Bandung. The research method used is quasi experiment with Nonequivalent Control Group Desain. Subjects used were two classes XI SMAN 22 Bandung with each class consisting of 30 people. Data analysis techniques used are normality test, homogeneity test, and non-parametric test because the data is not normally distributed. Data testing is done using the help of SPSS 23 application to facilitates data processing. The results of the research are the average pretest experimental class of 61.33 and the value of the control class pretest of 57.66; the average value of experimental class posttest of 79.83 and the average value of the control class posttest of 67.16. The results of non-parametric statistical calculations in form of Wilcoxon signed ranks test and mann whitney-u test with Asymptotic results. Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 IE <0.05. So, based on these facts, it can be concluded that learning to create short stories using the model of Project Based Learning (PjBL) media-assisted Plotagon Story application on grade XI students of SMAN 22 Bandung, has been implemented and successfully.

Abstract

Penelitian ini didasarkan pada rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam menulis, khususnya pada teks cerpen. Salah satu penyebabnya adalah siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam menentukan alur cerita dan sulit dalam mengungkapkanya. Di samping itu, guru pun tidak dapat menggunakan pendekatan yang inovatif dan kreatif. Maka dengan menggunakan pendekatan berbasis proyek diharapkan dapat membantu meningkatkan keterampilan menulis siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa kritis sswa dalam menulis teks cerpen dengan menggunakan metode writing in the here and now berbantuan media karton. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah metode keuantitiatif desain quasi eksperimen. Siswa kelas XI Sman 9 bandung berbartisipasi dalam penelitian ini. Data skor rata-rata penelitian ini mengarah pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 79,75 sedangkan pada kelas kontrol sebesar 58,00. Terdapat keunggulan dari kelas eksperimen dengan metode Writing In The Here And Now bisa dilihat dari Positive Ranks dengan N 20, mean ranks 10,50 dan sum of ranks 210.00, dibandingkan kelas kontrol bisa dilihat dari Positive Ranks dengan N 20, mean ranks 10,00 dan sum of ranks 180,00. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, bahwa metode Writing In The Here And Now lebih unggul dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dibandingkan dengan metode diskusi.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of applying the student teams achievement division method assisted by puzzle maker media on the ability to improve linguistic rules in learning to write expository texts in class X SMAS Kemala Bhayangkari Bandung for the 2023/2024 academic year. This research uses a descriptive quantitative method with a research design using a true experimental pretest-posttest control group design. The sample in this research was class X 3 students at SMAS Kemala Bhayangkari for the 2023/2024 academic year. The data collection technique is the N-Gain test to determine the use of methods and media. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that learning using the student teams achievement divisions method assisted by puzzle maker media on the ability to improve linguistic rules in learning to write expository texts for class X SMAS Kemala Bhayangkari students in the 2023/2024 academic year is effective. This is proven by the calculation results using the N-Gain test which is 74.3680 or 74%, which is included in the quite effective category with a minimum N-Gain score of 00% and a maximum of 100%. And the minimum pretest score is 26, the maximum pretest score is 80 and the minimum posttest score is 73 and the maximum score is 100.

Abstract

Kemampuan siswa SD dalam menceritakan kembali dongeng masih rendah, terutama dalam keterampilan menyimak. Ini menyebabkan kesulitan dalam memahami pelajaran. Pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia penting di SD karena mencakup keterampilan menyimak, membaca, menulis, dan berbicara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh model Paired storytelling dengan bantuan aplikasi Riri Cerita Anak Interaktif terhadap keterampilan menyimak dongeng siswa kelas 2 SD di SDN Dayeuhkolot 02. Menggunakan desain quasi-eksperimen dengan sampel 44 siswa, data dikumpulkan melalui pretest, posttest, dan observasi, serta dianalisis menggunakan SPSS. Hasilnya, model Paired storytelling berpengaruh signifikan dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menyimak, dengan nilai signifikan 0,00 < 0,05, dan effect size 1,20 (sangat tinggi). Kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan N-Gain sebesar 54% (kategori sedang), sedangkan kelas kontrol hanya 12% (kategori rendah). Rata-rata nilai kelas eksperimen 83,39, lebih tinggi dibanding kelas kontrol 70,86. Kesimpulannya, model Paired storytelling dengan aplikasi Riri efektif meningkatkan keterampilan menyimak dongeng siswa.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of public attention to reading interest so that it affects learning outcomes as a form of the quality of Indonesian education. One of the main factors to advance the Indonesian state is the quality of its population which is seen in the quality of Indonesian education, but in reality Indonesia is at a low level from other Southeast Asian countries, therefore the importance of familiarizing students from an early age to foster interest in reading by using interesting media, one of which is with picture storybooks. Thus this study was conducted to determine the effect of picture storybook media on students' reading interest. The approach used in this research is a non-experimental quantitatif aproach to a Survey Research Design. Data collection techniques through the distribution of questionnaires (questionnaires) and observation sheets. The sample used was purposive sampling because the total number of grade V students in Cigondewah Hilir Village exceeded 100 students. from in the process of the independent variable questionnaire, a score of 77.4% was obtained in the good category, reinforced by the results of observation sheet data for two meetings there was an increase in scores, namely at the first meeting of 6072 and the second meeting of 6199. Then the questionnaire processing on the dependent variable shows a percentage of 81.8% reading interest which is classified as very high. search on these findings Indicate that the independent variable (the use of picture storybook media) affects the dependent variable (student reading interest) by 60% and 40% is influenced by other factors. Based on the explanation above, it can be concluded that there is an effect of using picture storybook media on the reading interest of fifth grade elementary school students in Cigondewah Hilir Village, Margaasih District, Bandung Regency.

Abstract

  This study aims to find diction and language style contained in Jokowi's Presidential speech at the 2021 MPR Annual Session by analyzing and utilizing the results of the analysis as an alternative for the preparation of teaching materials for students in grade IX SMP / MTs. This research is descriptive research. Descriptive research is research that describes the results of its analysis in a narrative manner. The data sources in this analysis are the video of President Jokowi's speech at the 2021 MPR Annual Session and several supporting tribes. The results of this analysis contain six types of diction, six types of comparison language style, three types of opposition language style, one type of linking language style, and one type of repetition style. In general, the text of Jokowi's Presidential speech at the 2021 MPR Annual Session uses denotative diction, periphrasis language style, prolepsis or anticipation language style, climax language style, and parallelism language style. The results of this analysis are then adjusted to the demands of the 2013 curriculum which contains Basic Competencies (KD) and Core Competencies (KI). In addition, it is adjusted to the criteria for teaching materials which are assessed based on language aspects, learner psychology, and readability. Then, the results of the analysis are used as alternative teaching materials in the form of modules used by students of grade IX SMP / MTs in learning Indonesian language about Persuasive Speech Texts.

Abstract

During the current pandemic, people are looking for activities that can fill their spare time, one of which is the cultivation of ornamental plants. In addition to channeling hobbies, ornamental plant cultivation can increase people's income by marketing products to the market. The purpose of this activity is to provide knowledge and skills in the cultivation of Sirih Gading (Epipremnum aureum) ornamental plants vegetatively and by cuttings, to partners and provide information about business prospects and marketing strategies for fruit and ornamental plants in Griya Prima Asri Complex, Kec. Baleendah, Kab. Bandung. The selection of the Sirih Gading (Epipremnum aureum) ornamental plant as the object of service because this plant can grow in Indonesian climatic conditions, easy to care for, easy to observe and measure its growth, such as number of leaves, leaf width, leaf length, stem height, and root length. In addition, marketing assistance for ornamental plant products and fruit plants that are developed vegetatively is also carried out. The methods used are socialization, workshops/training, and monitoring. The results of this activity were 90% of the participants stated that the ornamental plant propagation training provided benefits and knowledge to cultivate and develop them into entrepreneurial prospects, in the midst of many people who lost their jobs due to the impact of the pandemic.

Abstract

This study is based on the selection of models and media that are less creative and innovative in learning to write fantasy story texts so that students feel bored and have difficulty in writing activities. This study aims to test the effectiveness of learning to write fantasy story texts with the porpe model assisted by plotagon animation media on students of class VII SMPN 35 Bandung. This study uses a quantitative method of the quasi-experimental type and a true experimental pretest-posttest control group design, and the research subjects consist of 2 classes.  The results of the study showed 1) the author was able to plan and implement learning to write fantasy story texts, as evidenced by the scores obtained of 3.63 and 3.55 with a very good category, 2) the ability of students after receiving treatment had reached the Learning Objective Achievement Criteria (KKTP) with a total average obtained of 89.02. 3) the difference in student abilities before and after receiving treatment using the plotagon animation media-assisted porpe model experienced a significant increase as evidenced by the wilcoxon test results showing an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) <0.05. 4) the plotagon animation media-assisted porpe model is effective for use in learning to write fantasy story texts as evidenced by the results of the maan whitney test showing an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value, namely 0.00, <0.05. which means that the plotagon animation media-assisted porpe model is more effective to use compared to the control class.
