Abstract

This study aims to find moral, social and religious values as well as the environment in silat tapak suci. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The selection of research subjects with purposive sampling technique. Data was collected using in-dept interview, observation and documentation techniques. The results showed that members are conducted some behaviour such as ablution activities, prayers, short lectures or cults, reading Al-Fatihah letters, and closing prayers and there was another advisory activity at the end of the silat practice. Another finding is that players are not allowed to hit sensitive parts such as the neck, but are allowed to hit the waist, both the right and left and the chest to the stomach. Even if the opponent has fallen then it cannot be hit. At the same time there is a natural environment value because when there is a level up test, members will be brought camping close to nature both in forest areas and river banks. Silat is also healthy because using the right moves will expend energy and be healthy for the heart, lungs and other body parts.

Abstract

This study aims to find the social impact, morals, and strategies for dealing with COVID-19 among students. Another goal is to find out the social, religious and psychological impact of COVID-19 on students at Ibn Khaldun University, Bogor. The research method approach uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected by in-depth interviews with the head of the student class. The sample was selected through a purposive technique. The results were carefully examined through triangulation. The results showed that students could not establish social relations between students and did not participate in campus social organizations. Another finding, the Covid-19 outbreak has an impact on student morals because online meetings are more difficult to foster student morals because teachers do not meet students. In addition, students experience various stresses due to piling tasks and online learning does not face various obstacles such as difficulty communicating with lecturers and not understanding the material. Students take various ways to overcome stress such as listening to favourite music, watching YouTube, playing games, getting enough rest, eating favourite foods such as eating meatballs, straightening intentions, and also strengthening worship and getting closer to God.

Abstract

Tiktok has become a part of life in today's digital era. This study aims to find out the negative and positive effects of TikTok on school children. This study uses a qualitative method. The sampling technique was carried out purposively, namely school teachers. Data were collected through in-depth interviews. The sample was selected through a purposive technique. The results were carefully examined through triangulation and source triangulation techniques. The results show that Tiktok is a digital literacy method for students so they can keep up with the times. Tiktok is also a fairly good learning medium for students when the content of TikTok includes religious lectures, religious values, and moral values that exist in religion. Even TikTok is useful as an interesting learning medium for students during a pandemic when teachers use TikTok as material for distributing material. The features of TikTok make the material interesting for children because of the many color combinations, music, and not boring. Plus there are economic values because TikTok is also a trading medium for many people. This is a trigger for entrepreneurship education for students. However, TikTok also has a bad impact on children because school children can spend time playing TikTok, spending cellphone credit, being lazy, and following the TikTok style that is not following religious teachings. The attitude of children who are still imitating can imitate what is seen on TikTok. For this reason, parents play a role in supervising children by looking at the history of what children open on their cellphones and giving understanding to which children are worthy to be seen and which are not

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find the positive and negative impacts of online learning on students' behavior in playing games. At the same time to find the best method for students not to spend time playing games and the role of parents to control student behavior. The research method used is descriptive qualitative and sampling method with purposive technique. While the sampling method used observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that when learning online, students will participate in playing games, causing students to be lazy to study, undisciplined, enter online classes, and students' behavior becomes aggressive towards negative because they lose playing games. Games also have a positive impact as entertainment for students and learn strategies in problem-solving and educate the brain. Another finding is that online learning causes obesity and eye disease in students due to radiation exposure. Parents play an active role in controlling behavior by diverting children to find positive things such as children being told to look for language lessons online so that time is spent studying compared than playing games and social media. Parents should be friends with children and listen to children so that children are close to their parents.Keywords: Electronic device, game advantage, game detrimental, parent, covid-19

Abstract

Climate change is characterized by several elements, namely unpredictable rainy and dry seasons, floods and unpredictable droughts. This study aims to determine the indigenous peoples’ local wisdom in adapting to climate change, which includes screening process of local paddy seeds, the use of organic fertilizers, and traditional harvest management strategies. The method used in this research is the qualitative research method combined with the ethnographic approach. This method is applied based on the consideration that the topic of this research is related to the culture and social of indigenous peoples. The data was collected by means of in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Informants were selected by using the purposive sampling technique. The results were scrutinized carefully by means of the triangulation process. The results of the study show the facts that the way indigenous peoples deal with climate change is by physically and physiologically selecting seeds and storing seeds for three months so that the seeds will grow stronger. In addition, they only selects paddies that has reached a full state of growth, that is mature to avoid going rotten even though the climate change occurs. Then, they have the traditional rice dryers to get rice dried, thereby enabling those to be more climate-resistant. They also use the organic fertilizer to reduce the production of emissions as a cause of global climate change. Perubahan iklim dapat diamati mulai dari musim penghujan dan musim kering yang tidak menentu, bencana banjir, dan kekeringan yang sulit untuk diprediksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kearifan lokal pada masyarakat adat dalam beradaptasi terhadap perubahan iklim mulai dari seleksi benih padi lokal, penggunaan pupuk organik, dan manajemen panen secara tradisional. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi. Metode ini diterapkan karena penelitian berkaitan dengan budaya dan sosial masyarakat adat. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Pemilihan informan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Kemudian, hasil pengumpulan data diteliti dengan cermat melalui triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat adat mengatasi perubahan iklim dengan melakukan seleksi benih secara fisik dan fisiologi dan menyimpan benih sampai dengan 3 bulan agar benih kuat dalam pertumbuhannya. Disamping itu, petani adat harus memanen padi matang sehingga padi tidak mengalami pembusukan meskipun terjadi perubahan iklim. Kemudian, masyarakat menggunakan mengelola hasil panen dengan alat pengering padi tradisional sehingga hasil panen padi lebih tahan iklim. Setelah itu, masyarakat adat menggunakan pupuk organik sebagai cara untuk memperkecil produksi emisi sebagai penyebab perubahan iklim secara global.

Abstract

The objective of this research to investigate traditional agricultural irrigation based on indigenious knowledge of  customary  urug societies in Bogor West Java. The research method use is Ethnoecology qualitative approach. This method is implemented because research have conection among human (cultural & social) and environment including traditional agriculture water management as well as the knowledge about environment. Data are collected by in-depth interview, observation and documentation. In order to determine respondents as major sources information use purposive sampling technique. The outcome is analized with combination numerous of method such as in-dept interview, observation, and documentation (triangulation data). There are some results including rice paddy field in Urug societies exert traditional terrascering for inventing land for cultivating of paddy because geograhpycally location of wet land paddy is mountainious. The another is traditional irrigation of Urug slue river water (main sources of irrigation) to to susukan (traditional reservoir). After that water is flowed to Selokan and continue to rice paddy field. The person who have mandatory for water agriculture management is mentioned as Ulu-ulu. Ulu-ulu is pivotal person because have chores for ensuring all farmer received water from river, Susukan and selokan. Abstract

The tradition includes culture and customs carried out in a particular society. One of the traditions and cultures that is applied to weddings in North Maluku. The purpose of this study is to find social values ​​including the value of cooperation. Another goal is to find the link between religious values ​​and marriage traditions. At the same time knowing how the wedding event from the beginning to the wedding. The research method used is the descriptive qualitative method. Meanwhile, the sampling method used a purposive technique. Meanwhile, data collection was carried out in various ways including observation, documentation, and in-depth interviews. The results of the study show that the marriage tradition in North Maluku contains the value of gotong royong or working together to realize public activities. The term giving goods to those who want to get married is called basolo. While catfish in weddings belong to people who deliver food, rice, and fruit and help chop wood. Residents also help in making tents and cooking food and drinks. Religiously, in marriage there must be religious values, namely, there is a marriage contract which is a pillar of marriage and marriage is part of religion, there are also guardians who are part of the pillars of religion. The marriage culture in North Maluku is very thick with customs. Weddings have been carried out since ancient times, starting from the system of proposing to the bridegroom's family welcome ceremony and the bride's family, then the agreement to the wedding procession. North Maluku is a traditional country founded by four kingdoms, namely the kingdoms of Ternate, Jailolo, Tidore, and Bacan called "moloku kieraha".

Abstract

The objective of this research was to investigate home garden value for rural development in Situ Udik Bogor West Java. The research method used ethnographic qualitative approach. This method was related to community, social and environment. The data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The selection of sample as informant exert purposive sampling technique. The result was probed meticulously through triangulation technique. The result showed that chief of village play imperative role to flourish rural community for program namely one banana trees in each home garden of society. The other was the home gardening impact on economic value. Society in the village can gain numerous merits of one banana trees which is cultivated in yard including community can exert outcome of banana yield for paying property taxes, add household income and allocate for school fee children. The other is to release ecology value. Home gardening has some function including protecting water from the surface flow and avoids environment from flooding disaster, reducing emission which is caused by global warming or climate change, produce oxygen and safeguard of soil fertility. Islam pledge to the person who conserves the natural environment like cultivating trees refers to produce alms and worship.

Abstract

The Majlis Ta’lim is classified as non-formal education that is close to the community and discusses issues related to the community. The purpose of this study is to find the transfer of moral education values to children through parents who participate in The Majlis Ta’lim. This research is descriptive qualitative research. While the sampling method includes using a purposive technique. Meanwhile, data collection was carried out in various ways including observation, documentation, and in-dept-interview. The results showed that the Majlis Ta’lim plays an important role in shaping children's morals by providing material to parents in the mosque and the prayer room. The material transfer is carried out to parents and parents will later transfer material to children at home in the form of behavior. The material provided includes material on maintaining oral behavior with parents. The material that has been obtained will be practiced at home so that children will see and observe this behavior. Another way is material about social life, including the urgency of friendship with neighbors so that parents practice it by bringing their children directly to their neighbor’s house. Habituation like this will make children behave socially toward neighbors. Finally, the habit of praying to children, here The Majlis Ta’lim will provide material about prayers in everyday life to parents so that parents will implement them at home.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has an impact on human life in fulfilling food through agricultural activities. The purpose of this study is to find behaviors in the Sundanese culture perspective of the manager of the Sundanese cultural village in Bogor, West Java. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method. Meanwhile, the data collection method was carried out by three events, namely observation, documentation and in-depth interviews. While the data analysis using triangulation. The results of the study indicate that the construction of traditional food barns to store food is a step to achieve resilience because food needs are met. After that, food production follows the paranti line, namely agriculture that follows the way of ancestral rice farming and pest control is carried out organically so that it helps production but avoids food production failures in the future.
