Health development aims to improve community health status, but in health development there are still problems, especially health problems in elementary school children. Efforts made by the government in the form of the School Health Effort program and the success rate in each province averaged 13.6%, so a comprehensive model is needed in the school named the Model of Usaha Kesehatan Sekolah Pelangi. The aims is to produce the Model of Usaha Kesehatan Sekolah Pelangi in improving health status of children's dental and oral health status. In this research used Research and Development, there are five stages of research namely: information gathering, model design, expert validation and revision, model testing (using the quasi-experimental control group pretest and posttest design method and model results). The sample was divided into 2 groups namely the implementation of the Model of Usaha Kesehatan Sekolah Pelangi in the intervention group and the school health business program in the control group. Data were tested using intraclass correlation coefficient, chi-square, shapiro wilk, friedman, wilcoxon and mann-whitney.The results showed the school health business model is feasible as a model of education and health services shown with the value of p0.031. The Model of Usaha Kesehatan Sekolah Pelangi is effective in increasing the performance treatment index (PTI) shown by the value of p0.001 and decreasing the simplified oral hygiene index (OHI-S) indicated by the value of p0.001.The conclusion of this research is Model of Usaha Kesehatan Sekolah Pelangi is effective in improving children's dental and oral health status.

The results of Riskesdas 2018, showed 93% of children aged 5-6 years had dental caries with an average DMF-T of 8.3; as many as 57.6% experienced dental and oral health problems, and only 10.2% received services from medical personnel. The number of dental health problems in Central Java is below the national threshold of 57.6%. The proportion of dental health problems in Indonesia is still far from the expectation of achieving the long-term target of the Ministry of Health in 2030. Indonesia is caries-free. The aims of this study was to produce a "GERAHAM Model" to improve the behavior of mothers in brushing their teeth Research and Development (RD) methods, there are two stages of research, model development and testing the effect of the model using the quasi experiment method with one group pretest and posttest design. The GERAHAM model is a model that involves the mother's role in training children's habits to maintain oral hygiene, especially brushing teeth at home. The data were tested using the Wilcoxon test. The average results of knowledge before and after treatment were 10.20 and 12.70, while attitudes were 18.34 and 29.32, actions were 3.00 and 18.34. The Wilcoxon test showed that the molar model could increase the mother's knowledge, attitudes and actions (P=0.000). Conclusion: GERAHAM teeth model is relevant as a model of dental health education to shape maternal behavior in brushing teeth.

Background: Oral health is very important, some oral and dental problems occur because we do not maintain oral hygiene and teeth. Plaque is a major etiologic factor of caries and periodontal disease. Efforts to prevent plaque buildup is called plaque control, by mechanical, chemical and natural, mechanical ventilation is a tooth brush. In general, the bristles are soft, moderate, and hard. Aims: This research aims to know the differences using a moderate and hard-bristled toothbrush againstplaque. Methods: This is a quasi-experiment with pretest-post-test control group design between the bristles medium and hard bristles using independent test T-test. Results: Independent t-test for hard toothbrush has an average value of 2.08 decrease in the number of plaques, while the toothbrush being has an average value of 1.35 decrease in the amount of plaque. The pvalue (0.000) <α (0.05), no difference using a toothbrush moderate and hard-bristled against plaque. Conclusion: There is a difference of tooth brushing plaque by using the medium tough and hairbrush medium tough hairbrush and hairy on the students of class VII B and VII C in Public Junior High School 3 Banjarbaru. The use of hard bristled toothbrushes is better 72.22% than the use of medium toothbrushes is only 47.37%. But a hard hairy toothbrush can cause gums to drop (recession gingival) if done continuously.

Adolescence is characterized by a period of significant dental caries activity. research has proven that the level of caries in adolescence tends to have a high prevalence. One of the factors causing caries is the lack of awareness of adolescents in maintaining oral and dental hygiene, to increase awareness of adolescents can be done by promoting dental health through dental health education. Conventional dental health education that has been applied only focuses on increasing patient awareness of the severity of a disease problem through providing information/advice. The selection of the right approach in the process of delivering dental health education materials to adolescents is the intervention of the motivational interviewing counselling model. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the motivational interviewing (MI) counselling model to improve teeth brushing practice in adolescents. Research methods research and development (RD) there are five stages of research, namely: information collection, model design, expert validation, and a trial model sample of 80 teenage students. Sampling using a purposive sampling technique. Data were tested using intraclass correlation coefficient, paired sample test and independent sample test. The results showed that the motivational interviewing counselling model intervention had the potential to improve teeth brushing skills in adolescents (p=0.001) and reduce plaque index scores (p=0.001). The conclusion shows that the MI counselling model is effective as a method of health education.

Children with autism have difficulty in terms of social interaction, communication and language, behaviour, imagination, emotional disturbances, sensory perception and motor aspects. Causes common understanding in children with autism, namely difficulty in brushing teeth. More than 60% of parents reported that their children with autism could not brush their teeth. They only brushed their teeth once per day. Another study revealed that 57% of autistic children did not want to put a toothbrush in their mouth, 37% of children were afraid to brush their teeth, and 55% of children did not like the taste or texture of toothpaste. Nearly 47% of children with autism do not understand the importance of brushing their teeth, and half of these children cannot stay still while brushing their teeth. Yay's Dental Education model is an alternative to developing a dental and oral health education model that can be used at home by involving the role of parents. The educational model consists of the Tell-Show-Feel-Do (TSFD) method, Visual Pedagogy, PECS media and Positive Reinforcement (PR). The method in this research is Research and Development with a Quasy Experiment model with a control group pre and post-test design). Based on the results of statistical tests, stated that this model was effective in increasing the mother's knowledge (p = 0.004), attitudes (p = 0.000) and actions (p = 0.001) about maintaining oral health in children with autism. Mothers' knowledge, attitudes and actions can change habits to apply excellent and correct tooth brushing techniques in children. Guidance and mentoring of mothers to maintain dental and oral hygiene are necessary so that children can get used to brushing their teeth and keep healthy teeth and mouth independently.

Inflammation, bleeding, swelling, pain, dry socket are common complications of tooth extraction. The inflammatory response is divided into two, including the administration of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and steroid anti-inflammatory drugs. Every use of chemical drugs has side effects. Herbal ingredients are needed, namely avocado seeds as an alternative treatment in preventing inflammation in wounds after tooth extraction. Avocado seeds contain polyphenols that play a role in inflammation in wounds, including flavonoids, alkaloids, tannins, and saponins. Experiment with randomized posttest design with control group design. Consisting of intervention group nano gel avocado seed extract 10%, positive control group povidone iodine 10% and aquadest. Observations were made for 7 days. The variables studied were inflammation of the wound after tooth extraction of rats and histopathological examination (Lymphocytes, Neocapillary and Fibroblasts). Based on the results of the unpaired test, the avocado and povidone groups were not significantly different (p=0.143), the avocado and aquadest groups had a significant difference (p=0.001) and the povidone and aquadest groups had a significant difference (p =0.015). The administration of nano gel of avocado seed extract with a concentration of 10% and 10% povidone iodine has the same ability in the process of wound regeneration and increases new blood vessels and can also reduce the number of lymphocyte inflammatory cells as evidenced by histological examination . The administration of nano gel of avocado seed extract is effective and can be applied as an alternative to prevent inflammation in wounds after tooth extraction in white rats.
