Abstract

Berbagai teknologi distilasi telah dikembangkan, namun teknologi distilasi dengan sumber energi matahari yang menghasilkan air kondensat dan garam belum banyak mengalami kajian,  sehingga diperlukan teknologi dan penelitian lanjutan. Dalam rangka mengembangkan teknologi tersebut, maka dilakukan penelitian dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh solar distillation bertingkat terhadap produktifitas air tawar dan kualitas garam. Metode penelitian ini dilakukan secara eksperimen, yaitu membandingkan satu, dua, tiga dan empat tingkat solar distillation. Penelitian dilakukan langsung dibawah sinar matahari. Penelitian menghasilkan; produksi air kondensat (tawar) dan garam meningkat seiring dengan jumlah tingkat solar distillation. Efisiensi solar still cenderung menurun seiring dengan jumlah tingkat solar distillation. Kualitas air yang dihasilkan, mempunyai keasaman (pH) rata-rata 7 dan cenderung netral, sehingga layak untuk dimanfaatkan manusia. Kandungan garam (Nacl) relatif lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan garam grasak hasil petani garam. . Kata kunci: solar still, pelat penyerap gelombang, reflektor.

Abstract

Energi ombak adalah energi alternatif yang dibangkitkan melalui efek gerakan tekanan udara akibat fluktuasi pergerakan gelombang. Pemanfaatan Energi ombak tersebut untuk menjadi energi listrik dengan menggunakan Pembangkit listrik mikrohidro. Dimana jenis pembangkit listrik Mikrohidro ini berbiaya rendah dan dapat bermanfaat untuk energi listrik masyarakat di tepi pantai dan Nelayan dalam mengolah hasil laut. Maka untuk membantu dan memfasilitasi masyarakat di daerah pesisir tentang kebutuhan Energi listrik, maka perlu adanya pembangunan sebuah sistem pembangkit listrik mini atau mikrohidro dengan memanfaatkan energi gelombang air laut tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memanfaatkan gelombang Laut sebagai pembangkit tenaga listrik menggunakan berbasis Mikrohidro System. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen.  Alat yang digunakan adalah prototipe gelombang laut dengan model mikrohidro system, variabel dalam penelitian ini adalah tinggi gelombang dengan tujuan untuk memperoleh efisiensi pembangkit listrik. Hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa semakin tinggi gelombang maka didapatkan voltase dan arus serta efisiensi yang lebih tinggi juga. Dari tinggi gelombang 70 mm didapatkan rata-rata efisiensi  sekitar 0.05 %, tinggi gelombang 100 mm didapatkan rata-rata efisiensi  sekitar 0.12 %, tinggi gelombang 150 mm didapatkan rata-rata efisiensi  sekitar 0.34 %.   Kata kunci: Energi Ombak, Pembangkit Listrik, Mikrohidro System

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui pengaruh komposisi campuran minyak (polypropylene) dengan gasoline oktan 92 terhadap temperatur api selama proses pembakaran premixed (2) mengetahui karateristik perubahan tinggi dan lebar api yang dihasilkan dari pembakaran campuran minyak (polypropylene) dengan gasoline terhadap pembakaran premixed. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian dari campuran minyak polypropylene dengan gasoline diperoleh data temperatur tertinggi adalah gasoline dengan nilai temperatur 93,40 0C, lebar api 1,378 dan tingginya 7,583 yaitu campuran 90:10. Untuk campuran 80:20 mendapat temperatur 89,11 0C, lebar 1,248cm dan tingginya 6,949cm. Untuk campuran yang ketiga 70:30 temperaturnya 80,850C, lebar 1,161cm dan tinginya 6,671cm. Sedangkan untuk gasoline sendiri nilai temperturnya 79,96 0C, lebar api 1,902cm, tingginya 6,448cm dan untuk minyak polypropylene yaitu 73,480C, lebar api 0,982cm, tinngi api 5,798cm.

Abstract

Replacing a standard CDI with a racing CDI is one way to improve ignition in a motorcycle engine and is expected to produce more complete combustion in the combustion chamber. The treatment in this study is the different types of CDIs used on motorcycles. The results show that the effect of CDI replacement on the power produced is a significant difference in power on standard CDI at RPM 5000 which is 5.7 HP while on CDI Rextor at RPM 8000 it is 7.3 HP. The significant difference in torque at RPM 1500 is 18.58 Nm while the CDI Rextor at RPM 2000 is 19.6 Nm. The power and torque produced by CDI Rextor are higher than the standard CDI. The amount of ignition produced by CDI Rextor greatly affects the size of the power and torque produced on the bicycle and the combustion pressure force will be maximized.

Abstract

Plastic oil has great potential in the utilization of renewable energy both in Indonesia and in the world. Plastic oil (Low Density Polyethylene) is a fuel produced from the pyrolysis process of plastic waste and has an octane value of 81.6, so the quality of the fire is low. This study aims to improve the quality of plastic oil fire, namely by mixing plastic oil with Pertamax fuel. Plastic oil as the main material while Pertamax as an additional material, with variations in the composition of the Pertamax mixture ranging from 20% to 80%. Fire characteristics seen during the research process are flame height, flame temperature and flame color with premixed combustion using a burner. From the results of fire color research, there is an increase in blue color with each addition of Pertamax fuel to plastic oil. The blue color itself means that the fuel has a high calorific value. The increase also occurred in the height of the fire where the height of the fire increased with each addition of Pertamax fuel to plastic oil. Likewise, the fuel temperature increased when Pertamax was added, because Pertamax has a better heating value than plastic oil. From these three things it can be concluded that by providing the addition of Pertamax fuel, it is able to improve the quality of the flame from the processing of plastic waste, namely in the form of plastic oil.

Abstract

Carbon black is currently widely used in the office world and is easy to obtain, one of which is widely used as printer ink, copier toner, reinforcing agent in the use of plastic, paper, and as a building material. So that carbon black is very easy to find on the market. Because of this uniqueness, the purpose of this research is to make carbon black as an alternative material in the rubber reinforcement process by using a type of carbon black obtained from photocopier toner with type nerox 600 combined with the addition of a percentage of BYK9067 additives using floating and flooding methods. BYK9067 additive is often used as a mixture in PVC coating with alkylammonium salt content. By using these additives as a variation of PVC paint, the best improvement was obtained in the addition of additives in the 3% variation obtained from observations and data analysis of the effect of floating and flooding in PVC coating

Abstract

In the utilization of natural products, one of which is stone, has a variety of functions and many industrial sectors require these products with certain sizes and specifications. The high demand must of course be in line with the availability of products of course with a variety of market demand criteria. From the industrial sector, careful planning needs to be done such as the risk when running production. Determining the right tool is needed to be optimal. As well as being able to maintain commitment to customers. The productivity of Stone Crusher plays a full role as the selling point of the stone products produced. Of course, understanding the production capacity of the tool is very necessary to maintain commitment with consumers and minimize the non-achievement of consumer demand. In the stone crusher project in Medan based on the analysis of production of 100 tons / hour or 71.42 m3 / hour for 8 hours of production with a stone density of 1400 kg / m3, the transport capacity is 200 m3 / day.

Abstract

Waste is a problem in Indonesia, both organic and non-organic waste. Bambo powder is an organic waste that can still be utilized to produce energy using the pyrolysis method. The research aims to utilize bambo waste to produce tar using pyrolysis process with temperature variation and with the addition of zeolite. The research method uses 200 g of bamboo powder with a moisture content of less than 2% and 40 g of zeolite and a heating process with a duration of 3 hours. The pyrolysis gas was condensed to obtain tar. The research produced the most tar products at a temperature of 550 ⁰C as much as 57 milli and 72 milli in the addition of zeolite. In the pure pyrolysis process, the highest calorific value was obtained at a temperature of 450 ⁰C amounting to 149.27 (cal/g) at the addition of zeolite, the highest calorific value was obtained at a temperature of 550 ⁰C amounting to 248.29 (cal/g). This shows that adding zeolite to the pyrolysis process can increase the amount of tar when compared to pure pyrolysis both in quality and quantity.

Abstract

CVT (Continuous Variable Transmission) components have several components that must be considered, one of which is the roller component that is often used on the 2013 Beat automatic motorbike. The rollers found on automatic motorbikes consist of two types. The rollers have different masses on both parts. Based on the mass of the two types of rollers, a study was conducted using the experimental method, which is a form of study to find cause and effect (causal relationship) between two factors by eliminating or reducing or setting aside other interfering factors. The study was conducted to determine the effect of replacing the roller with a mass of 15 grams on power, torque and top speed on the 2013 Honda Beat motorbike. The testing tool used in this study used a dynamometer that was able to analyze the effect of roller mass on the power generated by the automatic motorbike and also the centrifugal force of the roller. The lighter the roller weight, the smaller the centrifugal force generated. However, at high engine speeds, centrifugal force will decrease faster than rollers that have a heavier weight. The torque obtained in the use of 13 gram and 15 gram rollers respectively is 9.24 Nm, 8.79 Nm obtained at 6000 rpm engine speed. While the top speed obtained from the use of 13 gram roller is 75.06 km / h in 1 second, and the top speed achieved by the 15 gram roller is 78.65 km / h in 1 second.

Abstract

Demand forecasting in the retail industry remains a critical challenge, with inaccurate predictions leading to substantial inventory inefficiencies, financial losses, and reduced customer satisfaction. Traditional forecasting methods, primarily reliant on historical sales data, often lack the capacity to effectively model the complexities of dynamic consumer behavior and rapid market fluctuations. To address this, this study proposes a refined demand forecasting approach through the introduction of the Spending Score, a novel synthetic feature that synthesizes customer purchase frequency and total spending to augment predictive accuracy. We implement and optimize machine learning algorithms, specifically Random Forest, Decision Tree, and Support Vector Machine (SVM), using rigorous hyperparameter tuning techniques to determine the most effective model for retail demand prediction. Utilizing detailed customer transaction data, this research aims to identify key purchasing patterns that significantly influence demand variability. By integrating the Spending Score into our predictive models, we provide a data-driven framework enabling retailers to optimize inventory management, enhance targeted marketing strategies, and minimize operational inefficiencies. Empirical results demonstrate that the inclusion of the Spending Score leads to more stable and accurate demand forecasts, facilitating improved alignment between supply and market demand. While acknowledging potential limitations, including data scalability issues and the risk of feature-induced bias, future research will explore the integration of real-time data streams, advanced deep learning methodologies, and expanded datasets to further improve predictive capabilities and model adaptability in the continuously evolving retail landscape.
