Abstract

We have studied the preparation of organic-inorganic hybrid polymer precursors  by  sol-gel  technique  and  their  utilization  for  nanostructured  optical components for photonic applications. The gel polymer precursors were prepared from  siloxane  modified  by  polymerizable  acrylate  groups,  which  can  be processed  further  by  photopolymerization  process.  Molecular  structure characterizations by means of the FTIR measurements indicate the conversion of C=C  bonds  into  C-C  bonds  after  photopolymerization.  This  bond  co nversion produces  high  cross-linking  between  the  organic  and  inorganic  moieties, resulting  in  thermally  stable and chemically resistant thin polymer layer which provide  unique  advantages  of  this  material  for  particular  optical/photonic applications.  By  employing  laser  interference  technique,  gratings  with periodicity between 400-1000 nm have been successfully fabricated. Application of  those  sub-micron  periodicity  of  grating  structure  as  active  elements  in optically  pumped  polymer  laser  system  and  Surface Plasmon Resonance  (SPR) based  measurement  system  have  been  also  explored.  The  experimental  results therefore  also  show  the  potential  applications  of  this  hybrid  polymer  as  a building material for micro/nano-photonics components.

Abstract

Beberapa tahun terakhir ini, baterai LiFePO4 sangat banyak dipelajari karena sifatnya yang ramah lingkungan, stabil dan kapasitas teoritisnya yang cukup tinggi yaitu (170 mAh/g). Namun, tingkat kinerja elektrokimia yang rendah telah membatasi aplikasinya. Penyebab kinerja yang kurang baik adalah konduktivitas yang rendah. Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan konduktivitasnya adalah dengan penambahan material konduktif. Polianilin (PANI) merupakan polimer yang memiliki konduktivitas cukup baik serta sintesisnya sederhana. Sifat listrik polianilin dapat dikontrol melalui charge-transfer, doping dan protonasi untuk dijadikan sebagai suatu material konduktif. Selain itu, penambahan dopan akan lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan konduktivitas baterai. Dopan yang digunakan berupa asam yaitu asam format. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan konduktivitas baterai litium besi fosfat dengan melapisi bahan katode menggunakan polimer konduktif polianilin didoping asam format. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode sintesis kimia polimer PANI melalui polimerisasi interfasial. Konduktivitas diukur menggunakan alat four point probe dan didapatkan konduktivitas tertinggi pada PANI yang didoping asam format pada konsentrasi 1,5 M dengan nilai konduktivitas sebesar 6,4616 S/cm sedangkan konduktivitas tertinggi pada katode yang dihasilkan yaitu 38,4367 S/cm dengan perbandingan komposisi PANI:LiFePO4 50:50 (g/g). Karakterisasi struktur, morfologi, dan konduktivitas PANI yang didoping asam format dan katode LiFePO4-PANI masing-masing menggunakanFTIR, SEM, dan four point probe.

Abstract

Fabrication of 1D photonic crystal using hybrid polymer for planar laser application has been carried out. The hybrid polymer material was synthesized by sol-gel route using 3-(Trimethoxysilyl) propyl methacrylate (TMSPMA) as monomer. Then, the hybrid polymer is modified with (4-dicyanmethylene-2-methyl-6-(p-dimethyl-aminostyryl)-4H-Pyran (DCM) by guest-host method. Fabrications of 1D photonic crystal have been conducted by Lloyd Mirror interference method. The results of characterization show that organic-dye (DCM) good incorporated with hybrid polymer in sub-micrometer scale. The hybrid polymer can change from gel into solid by irradiated using UV-light. The Lloyd Mirror interference method was used to make light patterns in sub-micrometer order for fabrication of 1D photonic crystal. We found it method is quite well for fabrication of 1D photonic crystal with various periods.******Telah dilakukan fabrikasi kristal fotonik satu dimensi (1D) dari bahan polimer hibrid, untuk diaplikasikan sebagai divais laser planar. Bahan polimer hibrid diperoleh secara sintesis dari 3-(Trimethoxysilyl)propyl methacrylate (TMSPMA) dengan metode sol-gel. Untuk mengaktifkan sifat lasingnya, prekursor polimer hibrid dimodifikasi dengan kromofor (4-dicyanmethylene-2-methyl-6-(p-dimethyl-aminostyryl)-4H-Pyran (DCM) melalui metode guest-host. Selanjutnya dilakukan fabrikasi kristal fotonik 1D dengan teknik interferensi Lloyd Mirror. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa polimer hibrid dapat bersatu secara homogen dengan kromofor DCM. Polimer hibrid dapat berubah fasa dari gel menjadi padat apabila disinari dengan cahaya UV. Fabrikasi kristal fotonik 1D dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan berkas cahaya terpola, yang dihasilkan dari metode interferensi Lloyd Mirror. Metode tersebut telah diketahui cukup baik untuk memfabrikasi kristal fotonik 1D dengan beragam periode kisi.

Abstract

The growing interest in nanostructured conducting polymers is caused by expanding area of their practical application. Conducting polymers can be used in new electronic devices (transistors, displays, sensors, energy storage and memory cells), materials for shielding electromagnetic irradiation, inhibition of corrosion, membrane constructing, catalysis and medicine. The studies of polyaniline (PANI) and other conducting polymers have shown that they possess semiconducting properties. Due to its high stability and unique complex of properties, PANI was the first among conducting polymers to be used in practice as an electrode material for batteries, as a corrosion inhibitor and detecting material for sensors. PANI without dopant material possesses controlled conductivity 10-10 S∙cm-1. PANI was synthesized by the interfacial method by oxidation of aniline with ammonium peroxydisulfate (APS) as an oxidant in an immiscible organic/aqueous biphasic system, with hydrochloric acid as dopant. An organic phase contained aniline dissolved in toluene, while the oxidant was dissolved in acid. The produced PANIs have conductivities in the range 0.03-0.07 S.cm−1. Their nanofiber morphology was confirmed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Molecular structure of synthesized PANIs was investigated by FTIR Spectroscopy. Abstract

Abstrak Rhodamin B adalah salah satu zat pewarna sintetis yang biasa digunakan pada industri tekstil dan kertas. Zat tersebut ditetapkan sebagai zat yang dilarang penggunaannya pada makanan melalui Menteri Kesehatan (Permenkes) No.239/Menkes/Per/V/85. Namun penggunaan Rhodamin B dalam makanan masih banyak dilakukan oleh masyarakat. Rhodamin B memiliki senyawa pengalkilasi (CH3-CH3) yang bersifat radikal sehingga dapat berikatan dengan protein, lemak, dan DNA dalam tubuh. Konsumsi Rhodamin B dalam jangka panjang dapat terakumulasi di dalam tubuh dan dapat menyebabkan gejala pembesaran hati dan ginjal, gangguan fungsi hati, kerusakan hati, gangguan fisiologis tubuh, dan dapat memicu timbulnya kanker hati. Pada penelitian ini telah dilakukan pembuatan alat pendeteksi Rhodamin B yang fleksibel dan mudah dioperasikan dengan basis LED RGB. Berdasarkan hasil eksperimen, senyawa Rhodamin B sangat sensintif terhadap berkas cahaya hijau. Berkas cahaya pada panjang gelombang tersebut mengalami serapan yang cukup tinggi dan berbanding lurus terhadap besarnya kadar Rhodamin B. Alat yang dirancang telah dapat menunjukkan kemampuan untuk membedakan senyawa yang mengandung pewarna Rhodamin B atau tidak. Selain itu alat tersebut juga mampu menghitung perkiraan kadar Rhodamin B dalam satuan mol/liter. Persamaan konversi perubahan tegangan sensor dengan konsentrasi Rhodamin B adalah: konsentrasi (g/mL) = (tegangan sensor (mV) – 120,98) / (-1,967). Kata-kata kunci: Rhodamin B, LED RGB, pewarna sintetik. Abstract Rhodamine B is a synthetic dye used in the textile and paper industries. These substances are defined as prohibited substances in food through the Minister of Health 239/Menkes/Per/V/85. However, the Rhodamine B is commonly used in the foods by some people. Rhodamine B has an alkylating compounds (CH3-CH3) that are radially with binding proteins, fats and DNA in the body. Consumption of Rhodamine B in the long term can accumulate in the body and cause symptoms of an enlarged liver or kidney, impaired liver function, liver damage, physiological disorders of the body, and lead to liver cancer. In this research has been carried out the manufacture of the detector Rhodamine B which flexible and easy to operate on the basis of the RGB LEDs. Based on our experimental results, the Rhodamine B is very sensintif with the green light beam. Beam of light at these wavelengths is absorp by Rhodamin B which proportional to its concentration. Our equipment is designed to demonstrate the ability of distinguish between containing dye Rhodamine B or not. In addition, the equipment is able to calculate the concentration of Rhodamine B in mol / liter. The conversion equation of voltage to concentration of Rhodamine B is: concentration (g/mL) = (voltage-sensor (mV) – 120,98) / (- 1,967). Keywords: Rhodamin B, RGB LED, synthetic dye.

Abstract

Oksida grafit (GO) telah berhasil disintesis menggunakan metode Hummers dari serbuk grafit dengan pelarut asam sulfat (H2SO4), natrium nitrat (NaNO3), kalium permanganat (KMnO4), dan hidrogen peroksida (H2O2).  Hasil sintesis berupa pasta dicuci dengan asam klorida (HCl) dan akuades berulang-ulang untuk mendapatkan GO yang relatif murni.  Pasta tersebut selanjutnya dikeringkan dan digerus untuk karakterisasi EDS (Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy), difraksi XRD (X-ray Difraction), dan spektroskopi FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared).  Untuk mengupas lembaran GO menjadi lapisan lebih tipis, pasta yang dihasilkan tersebut didispersikan dalam akuades, kemudian disonikasi serta disentrifugasi.  Hasil yang didapat dikarakterisasi dengan menggunakan spektroskopi UV-Vis.  Hasil karakterisasi sampel serbuk menunjukkan telah terjadi perubahan struktur grafit dengan terbentuknya gugus-gugus fungsional oksigen.

Abstract

Rhodamine is kind of synthetic dyes that are widely used in textile and paper industries. The use of these hazardous substances rhodamine in foods and beverages is carried out by the manufacturers / community. Health impacts cause irritation of the respiratory tract, skin, eye, gastrointestinal, hepatic dysfunction and liver cancer. Thus, it is needed a study to detect rhodamine-B compounds in some foods and beverages by using a portable tool for practical and without having to do in the laboratory. This research was conducted with the stage of collection and sample preparation, validation of analytical methods, then analyzes the content of rhodamine in the test sample using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer and LCD mini tool. Based on the test results showed that the samples had a strong absorption of the green and blue LED RGB with highly sensitive to changes in the value of concentration. The test results s of mini absorption spectrophotometer concentrations of Rhodamine-B values ​​in samples of sauce at the peak wavelength of 532 nm is 2.39684 x ​​10-5 M, the value of the concentration of Rhodamine-B in the jelly in the peak wavelength of 532 nm is 2.78781 x 10 -5 M, and the value of the concentration of Rhodamine-B syrup at the peak wavelength of 486 nm is 1.75088 x 10-5 M. Abstract

Universitas Padjadjaran as one of the academic institrusi has a vision to participate development potential of renewable energy. In the development of renewable energies in particular solar energy, data about the potential of the sector in the region is very compulsory. One of the potential energy that its data has not owned a solar thermal energy. One way of measuring system of temperature remote environment is to use the sensor in the terminal stored a few hundred meters from the computer of the recipient. As the process of sending and receiving data can be done by using a Modem FM. In this case the processing and data conversion transformation is the environmental temperature (T), follow by transformed of T to Voltage, then converted to frequency (V/F) and finally it is modulated. Existence of environmental temperature visualization on the computer screen as results of demodulasi, conversion of frequency to Voltage (F/V) and the conversion of Analog to Digital. In this study addressed the analysis of transformation and environmental temperature conversion to digital data with the design using a conditioned LM25 Tranducer to the Voltage (0 to 5) Volts comparable to (0 to 50) oC. Converter (V/F) and (F/V) vice versa is (0 to 5) Volts comparable to (0 to5000) Hz. And the conversion of analog to digital (0 to 65535) is proportional to the temperature. Based on its transformasion and the conversion state information designed normal temperature at between 24-27oC, state of heat above 27oC is hot and under 24 is cool Keywords: Temperature sensors, Converter (V/F), (F/V) FM, Modem, ADC.

Abstract

Electrical energy is a necessity for human beings and the use of electrical energy which is pretty much contained in the household sector. Electricity used in the household sector amounted to 35% of the total electricity consumed in Indonesia every month. The savings in energy use in the household are the first step that can be done to anticipate the energy crisis. The purpose of research makes a tool that can monitor and calculate the power consumption used by an electronic device or in whole in a home can be performed remotely using the internet in data transmission, in which the electrical power used is displayed on a PC screen in a WEB site. The results have been made hardware design, software, web design and manufacture. Results of testing done by looking at household electrical power are seen at the web address compared results observed directly shows good accuracy.
