Abstract

The research was carried out at SMK PGRI 1 Pasuruan City with the number of respondents being 21 students of class XI TKJ and 19 students of class XII TKJ. The purpose of the study was to find out the hypothesis of the relationship between learning styles and learning motivation with learning outcomes for the subjects of Network Service Technology for class XI and XII students of TKJ SMK PGRI 1 Pasuruan City during the online learning period during the Covid 19 period by using quantitative methods. The results of the study were partially divided into 2 independent variables, namely the results of the analysis of the relationship between learning styles and student learning outcomes and the relationship between learning motivation and student learning outcomes. Simultaneous research results consist of the results of the analysis of the relationship between learning styles and learning motivation on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had an impact on education in Indonesia. Educators in fulfilling obligations during the pandemic must provide knowledge to students online. Technological developments are increasingly advanced, especially in the field of education. During the pandemic, educators can provide online learning, for professional skills regarding information technology are needed. In improving professional competence, educators must attend workshops or seminars. This study aims to determine the attention of educators in mastering IT during the Covid-19 pandemic. Combination research is a mixture of both quantitative and qualitative methods. The research subjects used were all educators at SMKN 11 Malang with a total population and sample of 86 respondents using questionnaires and interviews as data collection tools. The results of the t-test for the science and technology variable affect professional competence, the school environment variable affects the professional competence of educators. Then for the F test, the variables of science and technology and the school environment have a simultaneous effect on professional competence. The value of R square for the science and technology variable of educators has an effect of 25.1% on professional competence, then for the school environment variable, it has an effect of 41.1% on professional competence. As for the two variables, namely the science and technology variable and the school environment, the effect is 45.2% simultaneously. Then the rest is influenced by other factors. The results of the questionnaire were also supported by interviews with 8 educators who said that IT mastery can be seen from the variables of science and technology and the school environment affecting professional competence. Therefore, the results of the interviews were strengthened from the results of the questionnaire and expanded by providing other factors that impacted the mastery of IT educators at SMKN 11 Malang.

Abstract

Telekomunikasi Selular, also known as Telkomsel, is one of the companies working in the field of government-owned telecommunications technology. To ensure its product quality, Telkomsel has an IT Quality Assurance division to make sure a product meets the specified requirements. This division has the Test Execution team to test new products or services to meet the requirements set by Telkomsel before the products are released to the public. Telkomsel's test execution teams and vendors use an information system called LYTTA (Daily Testing Activity Tracker) to record the activity of all teams and vendors. In LYTTA, there has never been a quality measurement and there are some problems regarding the system's interface and features. This research measures the system's quality using Webqual 4.0 and IPA methods. The Webqual 4.0 method has three dimensions, namely usability, information quality, and service quality, to see the user's perspective in using and interacting with the system. The IPA method is used to map the problems that exist in the system, so the problems that need to be addressed first can be classified. This research was done by distributing questionnaires to 54 LYTTA users from three different companies, namely Telkomsel, Wipro, and Telkom Sigma. This research shows two attributes in the top priority category, namely the system's domain and easefulness. For the low priority, there are two attributes, namely the system's unattractive interface and the lack of competency. The other attributes that are not on the priority list mean it already performs well. The recommendations for improvement are made in accordance with existing guidelines.

Abstract

Teaching and learning activities in schools began to experience changes and were adapted to the development of information technology, resulting in changes and shifts in the educational paradigm. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the education system has adapted to distance learning, one of which is e-learning. In this study involved 3 people to be interviewed and 30 respondents in filling out the questionnaire. Preliminary data obtained from research activities show that e-learning users experience difficulties, namely the display is still standard (plain) and lacks supporting features. Visual appearance in an e-learning is a very influential aspect to make it easier to understand learning material, communicate key concepts and attract the attention of users or students. Based on these problems, researchers have a goal to redesign the e-learning of SMKN 12 Malang using the GDD (Goal-Directed Design) method that focuses on user goals and behavior in using e-learning. This method has 6 stages, namely research, modeling, requirements definition, framework definition, refinement and support. This study uses the Technique for User Experience Evaluation in E-learning (TUXEL) method to evaluate usability, pedagogical usability and user experience. Based on testing using the TUXEL method, the redesign in this study has increased.

Abstract

Learning Management System (LMS) is an information system that developed in order to support the learning process, including distribution of education materials and collaboration between student and educators. From interviews that conducted with students of SMAN 90 Jakarta, several problems were found in the LMS including features that could not be used and the LMS have never been evaluated before. The purpose of this research is to discover any user experience and usability issue on LMS using the TUXEL method. The retrieval data process is using three questionnaires, namely: general usability inspection, pedagogic usability inspection, and the last one is user experience evaluation that given to 10 respondents with the purposive sampling technique, prioritize the 11th grade student or the second year of school. The result of user experience evaluation got the average score of each scale, having a positive perception that it meets the condition above 0.8. Then researchers did the review of every items after sorting them by frequency. There are a total of 27 items sorted. The result of the study stated that there are 8 items found because the Moodle based LMS does not provide the related features, 6 items found because the school LMS does not use related features, and 13 items found because the student did not understand the features on LMS.

Abstract

SMK Negeri 2 Malang is a vocational high school that runs a program of industrial work practices or commonly called prakerin. The registration process for internship activities at SMK Negeri 2 Malang is without any system assistance and is not centralized or managed by each expertise program. Therefore, SMK Negeri 2 Malang plans to create a website. This study aims to design a user experience so that the system to be built has good results for its users in terms of usability and user experience. The method used in the design is Human-Centered Design (HCD) and the research method uses quantitative descriptive. At the evaluation stage of the solution design the method used is usability testing and filling User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ). The results of the evaluation of the solution design made on student users obtained an effectiveness value of 93,8%, efficiency of 0,068 goals/ second. The results of admin users get an effectiveness value of 93,3%, efficiency 0,136 goals/ second. The results of the overall user satisfaction evaluation of student and admin users get a score of 2,1 in OVERALL. The UEQ results on the attractiveness and dependability obtained the excellent, on the efficiency, perspicuity, stimulation, and novelty obtained the good. These results indicate that the solution design can be accepted with good usability values ​​and user experience values ​​by seeing the value of each aspect or component above the average.

Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, the teaching and learning process was carried out online at SMK Negeri 1 Pasuruan using technology and communication media. The learning media used by teachers to support Basic Graphic Design (DDG) subjects is limited to videos taken from Youtube. The application of learning media that has not been optimal has resulted in student learning outcomes not being able to reach the KKM, so to solve this problem the researcher suggests a solution in the form of developing interactive learning media (MPI) by applying the APPED development model. This model consists of 5 systematic steps, namely initial analysis and research, design, production, evaluation, and dissemination. To develop the MPI, the design is carried out according to the results of the needs analysis. The results of the MPI design include outlines of DDG Basic Competencies 3.2 and 4.2, flowcharts, screen designs, and storyboards. The MPI product developed was validated by 2 media experts, 2 material experts, and 5 students. The results of the MPI validation trial by media experts scored 96% "very feasible", material experts 81% "very feasible", and student trials 84% ​​"very feasible". Then the results of the pretest and posttest of 33 students of class X Multimedia 1 resulted in a gain of 61% "quite effective". Thus, it can be concluded that the MPI developed is very feasible and effective enough to be used in DDG learning.

Abstract

The emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic has made learning to be carried out online. SMK Telkom Banjarbaru is one of the schools that conducts online learning, so teachers or educators only get information through communication media (mobile phones), and information from parents as supervisors for learning at home. Learning is carried out smoothly but there is one obstacle in learning at SMK Telkom Banjarbaru is the lack of information to find out student activities by teachers and parents. One solution is to design an android-based application for student information systems using the User Centered Design (UCD) method. This method focuses on user needs, in this design it is classified into students, teachers, and homeroom teachers. In the final stage of this research, namely testing on the application design, all users can achieve task scenarios in each role with a success percentage of 100% so that the application design can be easily recognized and used.

Abstract

Education functions as a disclosure of information in the form of values, knowledge, and skills by educators to students. Education is more than just teaching. So that it can be said as an effort to transfer information, change values, and shape character from all the perspectives it covers. However, based on the observation activities by researchers in class X TKJ SMK Negeri 5 Malang on Dasar Program Keahlian subjects, various problems were found that invited the attention of researchers to solve them. These problems resulted in the low learning outcomes of class X students of TKJ SMK Negeri 5 Malang class of 2021 in Dasar Program Keahlian subjects. Teaching materials in module format are teaching materials that prioritize user independence, efficiency, and effectiveness. Modules are material associations that highlight instructional abilities. As technology advances, modules can also be introduced in advanced designs called e-modules. The development of e-modules with the Problem-Based Learning model applies the ADDIE method in the development process. The ADDIE model can be used to describe a systematic procedure for developing a product. ADDIE was developed by Reiser and Mollanda which is a collection of abbreviations that are guided by the main procedures of the development process.

Abstract

PT Bank Central Asia Tbk launched the BCA mobile application to maximize the use of technology to answer their customer needs and wants, and to be able to compete in the digital era. However, during implementation, customers find it difficult in viewing transactions history, processing transfers to a different bank, and viewing available balance. Also, the user interface is not up-to-date. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct usability evaluation using the task scenario test and the SUS questionnaire. The task scenario testing was conducted to assess aspects of learnability, error, and efficiency, which involved 6 participants aged 18 - 56 who were divided into two groups. The task scenario test on group 1 obtained the results for the learnability of 41.67%, the efficiency of 0.009 goals/sec, and the error of 0.41. In contrast to the participants in group 2, the result for the learnability was 70.8%, the efficiency was 0.02 goals/sec, and the error was 0.16. Meanwhile, the SUS questionnaire which was used to assess the satisfaction obtained 76.38. According to the interpretation of the SUS score, this figure is in the acceptable category. When viewed from the grade scales, BCA mobile is in the 'C' category with a 'Good' rating.
