Abstract

Based on the results of observations and interviews conducted by researchers at SMK Negeri 3 Malang, there are problems in the form of student learning interests that are not marked by the need to be given a stimulus at the beginning of learning, learning methods and models that have not been able to increase students' interest in learning. Based on these problems, this study aims to determine the influence of the use of Ice Breaking on the Problem Based learning in increasing the interest and learning outcomes of students at SMK Negeri 3 Malang. The research method uses Quasi Experimental with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Experimental research populations of class TKJ 1 and TKJ 2 SMK Negeri 3 Malang. The research sample was class X TKJ 1 35 students and X TKJ 2 35 students. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, questionnaires and interviews. The tests carried out include testing for normality, homogeneity, differences in pretest, differences in posttest, improvement of pretest and posttest of both classes and Effect Size. The test aims to determine whether Ice Breaking has an effect on the Problem Based learning in increasing the interest and learning outcomes of students.

Abstract

SMK Negeri 5 Malang has an official website created to help the public get the necessary information about the school. Based on an interview with one of the people in charge of the school website, Mr. Hendra Saputra, the website is known that there has never been an evaluation related to the User Interface, so there are several problems such as content and how to provide information, the interface design is less attractive. This study uses the Heuristic Evaluation method. Heuristic evaluation is a method used in carrying out usability assessments. Heuristic evaluation links several experts or experts as evaluators who can assess whether a design complies with the 10 usability principles proposed by Neilsen. Based on the results of the evaluation with 3 evaluators, there are 12 problems that have been combined and divided into 7 of 10 heuristic principles. Based on 12 problem findings The highest percentage of problems of problems is the principle of aesthetic and minimalist design (H-8) with 40% of all problems of problems. On the other hand, the heuristic principle which has the highest gravity rating on the principle of recognition rather than recall (H-6) has a gravity rating of 4 and is in the major category.

Abstract

One of the characteristics of the application of the SOLE model is the use of internet access during the learning process so that it can make it easier for students to learn online. The SOLE learning model was chosen because it is in accordance with the current state of students who do not take part in face-to-face learning due to the impact of the pandemic, which makes learning activities carried out online. The SOLE learning model is an independent learning process by utilizing the internet and smartphones owned by students. To be able to find out student learning outcomes in printing graphic design subjects, research was carried out using the Self Organized Learning Environment (SOLE) learning model. The development of learning methods is used as a means to facilitate the learning process. One of the most frequently used supports for the learning process is a smartphone. During the pandemic, the learning process in schools is done online. Learning is not done face-to-face directly but by utilizing applications and smartphones for the learning process. The learning system uses classroom applications with power point materials and assigns assignments to students. In the online learning process, the problem that occurs is that the teacher cannot find out student learning outcomes about the printed graphic design lessons given because during the pandemic students are not enthusiastic if only given material with the lecture method. In the application of the SOLE learning model there is an influence on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

In the context of implementing e-Government in the application of Government Regulation Number 13 of 2019 concerning Reports and Evaluation of Regional Government Implementation in the implementation of regional autonomy policies as a whole. The Bureau of Government and Regional Autonomy, the Regional Secretariat of East Java Province, operates a web-based application for online delivery of Local Government Implementation Reports. Evaluation is needed on the application service as an improvement in the quality of the application at a later stage. This study aims to develop these services, especially in the usability section and to design interfaces as recommendations for usability improvements. This study uses the Heuristic Evaluation and Usability Testing method which involves 5 users and 3 experts in the usability field. The Heuristic Evaluation Method consists of 17 heuristic problems which are divided into 1 cosmetic problem, 6 minor problems, 6 major problems, and 4 disaster problems. The Usability Testing method was carried out in 2 stages in the test, the test was carried out before and after the arrival of the user interface, it was found that the test increase from the third aspect tested, namely the effectiveness aspect with an initial value of 86% to 88% efficiency aspect with a value of 81.3% to 84, 08% and satisfaction with the initial value of 72.5% to 79%.

Abstract

PT Mahitala Bramanta Digital is an agency engaged in Information Technology Services that offers various digital solutions for company needs. However, the obstacles found by PT Mahitala Bramanta Digital are that there is no good company profile website user interface design that meets the company's and users' goals, and there is no user view of the website other than the company's internals. Based on the identification of the problems that occur, the researcher aims to produce a company profile website user interface design with a display that is able to meet the characteristics and philosophy of the company using the Human Centered Design (HCD) method. The HCD method is used to determine business processes and identify user use case diagrams in order to adapt to the needs and requirements of users and to suit the company's business goals. The evaluation used for the design of the solution uses the Heuristic Evaluation method which involves 3 evaluators. A total of 23 problems were found, then prioritized improvements were made to 12 problems that had an average severity rating of above 2. Repairs were also made to other problems based on the advice given by the evaluator and using the Usability Guidelines in the repair process so that it can be said that design solutions are in line with user reusability as well as company goals.

Abstract

The DPMPTSP website is a medium for disseminating information related to investment potential and also the regulations used by DPMPTSP Prov. West Sumatra. Since it was first created, namely in 2017 the DPMPTSP website has never been evaluated and when it was evaluated for the first time by researchers using the User experience questionnaire (UEQ) which was distributed to 25 respondents with a purposive sample technique, the DPMPTSP website received an average value of 0.191 where all aspects of the benchmark gets a Bad score. Human centered design (HCD) approach is used in the design process. HCD is used to find out problems in the system and how to overcome these problems which involves a human perspective at each stage by focusing on the user and producing recommendations for design improvements to the user interface design. Wireframe and high-fidelity prototype are designs resulting from this research. After improving the user interface design, the test was carried out again using UEQ with the same number of respondents, namely 25 people and got a good response which got an average score of 1,800 where all aspects of the Benchmark got an Excellent score

Abstract

This research is based on learning activities were held face-to-face which were previously carried out remotely during the covid 19 pandemic so that practicum learning activities at vocational schools can be carried out again in schools. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of learning motivation and learning interest to study result of grade XI TKJ 2 students on practical Network System Administration subjects at SMKN 11 Malang after practicum activities can be carried out again at school. A quantitative approach with the type of ex-postfacto research is used as a reference approach. Questionnaires are used as a data collection tool to obtain information about learning motivation and interest in learning that are distributed via the Google Form link, while learning scores are obtained from the final grades of class XI TKJ 2 practicums. The samples in this study were students of Grade XI Computer Engineering Network 2 SMKN 11 Malang which amount 32 people. This study uses a saturated sample, meaning that all members of the population are used as samples, namely all students of class XI. TKJ 2 which amounted to 32 people. The results of this study show that motivation in learning had no effect on learning outcomes with significant value of 0.450 > 0.05. interest in learning had no effect on learning outcomes with a significant value of 0,074 > 0,05. Learning motivation and Learning interest had no effect on Learning outcomes with significant value of 0,177 >0,05.

Abstract

Halo Filkom website is here to help students who need information related to services, technical support, question, and submitting complaints to all services at FILKOM UB by utilizing the e-ticketing system. The researcher found that although the Halo Filkom website was feasible to use, because it was relatively new, several complaints from students of the Faculty of Computer Science were found, such as the design being too rigid, tickets closing too quickly, or the ticketing system being confusing for new users. For this reason, it is necessary to evaluate the Halo Filkom site so that it will be better in the future. The method used to evaluate and improve the Halo Filkom website is the design thinking method. The reason researchers use the design thinking method is because this method can help researchers explore user needs more deeply. With qualitative research methods like interviews, compared to quantitative like surveys. With the empathize stage in this method, it can involve respondents to participate in brainstorming related to complaints and ideas in the future development of the Halo Filkom website. Data collection for the evaluation was carried out using the interview method consisting of students and stakeholders. In addition, an evaluation using the System Usability Scale (SUS) was also carried out with the aim of assessing the usability of the website before redesigning it. It was found that the SUS website scores 54.5 points. After making design improvements such as making tutorials for new users, improving pages so that they are not rigid, and other improvements. After the redesign, the SUS test was carried out again and it was found that the score increased to 91.5 points. It can be concluded that the process of evaluating and improving the website using the design thinking method succeeded in increasing the SUS score by 37 points or 67.88%.

Abstract

Byboot is a Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) in Jombang Regency which is engaged in fashion, specifically selling various needs for sandals and women's shoes. Byboot wanted to expand its business reach and wanted an e-commerce website. This website will be used to assist transactions between Byboot and its customers so that the transaction process runs effectively and efficiently. Based on these problems, the researcher provides a solution for designing the user interface of an e-commerce website that will be made in the form of a high-fidelity prototype. This design will make it easier for Byboot and consumers to make buying and selling transactions that they will do. The process of designing this system will use the design thinking method in which there are five stages in the process, namely empathize, define, ideate, prototype and test. The testing process will include usability testing, user interviews, and a system usability scale (SUS) questionnaire. From the test results with the system usability scale questionnaire, it was obtained a value of 77 for the consumer system and a value of 75.5 for the stakeholder system. The results of the two systems are included in the high acceptability level, with a grade scale C, and also an adjective rating of Good.

Abstract

Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency of Kediri website is a media for storing information related to profiles, services, registration, reporting or payment of taxes and levies, activities documentation, news to socialization as an effort to implement electronic-based government to improve the quality of public services effectively and efficiently. Although this website is one of the information media for Kediri City BPPKAD, there are still deficiencies found, especially related to information quality, service interaction quality, website usability and user experience. Referring to the finding of these deficiencies, this research was conducted to evaluate and redesign the website of the Kediri City BPPKAD, in order to improve the usability aspect of the website. Then in the website design process, the design thinking method will be carried out with task scenario testing and also SUS testing too. Based on the initial needs excavation, it was found that the satisfaction level of website users was only around 66%. The lowest level of satisfaction is in the aspect of content, organization and readability. While the highest level of satisfaction is in the user interface design aspect, although it is only around 70%. Then the results of the evaluation and redesign were carried out to obtain satisfactory results. Based on the aspect of effectiveness and efficiency, 100% of users have succeeded in executing the given task scenario with the longest processing time being 10 seconds for one task. Then in the satisfaction aspect, the average user gives an assessment on a grade scale of B+ to A+.
