Abstract

Postpartum hemorrhage is a leading complication, causing approximately 75% of maternal deaths. Placenta accreta spectrum (PAS) is characterized by the abnormal invasion of placental trophoblasts into the uterine myometrium, increasing the risk of severe hemorrhage. Globally, PAS incidence has risen, ranging from 0.2% to 0.9% of all pregnancies, primarily due to the increasing number of cesarean deliveries. Other maternal outcomes can also occur in mothers with PAS cases. Objective: this systematic review aims to describe maternal outcomes in deliveries involving PAS. Method: this systematic review study uses the PRISMA guidelines for literature search through databases, including ScienceDirect, ProQuest, Wiley, and Taylor and Francis, focusing on cohort and case-control studies. Thirteen articles in English published between 2019–2024 were analyzed, with 2,455 for total samples. Results: the study identified maternal outcomes, including hemorrhage, organ injury, infections, thromboembolism, vesicovaginal fistula, intensive care admission, and maternal death, with hemorrhage being the most significant complication. Recommendation: Optimal PAS management requires a combination of technology-based strategies, multidisciplinary collaboration, and well-planned interventions to reduce maternal morbidity and mortality.

Abstract

Adolescents are a group vulnerable to reproductive health issues. One contributing factor is a lack of literacy and limited access to sexual and reproductive health services. Educational interventions supported by digital technology, such as mobile applications, websites, and social media, aim to provide information related to sexual and reproductive health. These interventions are expected to reduce risky behaviors, including preventing sexually transmitted infections, unwanted pregnancies, and making appropriate reproductive health decisions. However, the effectiveness of digital-supported educational interventions remains variable. Objective: examined the effectiveness of health education using digital support from various journal articles. Method: systematic review approach was used to analyze and evaluate several research results through literature searches with Proquest, Wiley, Science Direct and Spinger Link databases with experimental and RCT research types. Results: The results of a review of thirteen articles can be concluded that interventions with digital support can significantly ( <0.05) increase adolescents' knowledge about reproductive health, improve attitudes towards preventing adolescent health risk behaviors, improve behavior in maintaining reproductive health disease prevention, increase self-efficacy and reduce the incidence of physical violence and sexual violence. Recommendations: It is recommended that interventions involve both adolescents and their parents, as parental roles are crucial in providing support to adolescents.

Abstract

Cancer is a complex disease associated with a wide range of symptoms, declining quality of life, and financial toxicity (FT).To examine the quality of life and symptoms management in Cancer patients experiencing financial toxicity based on a review of published literature.A systematic review was conducted using five databases: Sage Journals, Science Direct, ProQuest, Clinical Key, and Oxford Academic from 2015-2025 years with keywords Quality of Life, Symptom Management and Cancer Patients. The quality of studies was assessed depending on the study design of the 1,050 articles found, only 11 were reviewed. Findings from 11 studies indicated that the quality of life in cancer patients is influenced by multiple factors. Financial toxicity showed a negative correlation with quality of life (r =0.23, p = 0.0057), indicating that higher levels of financial toxicity are associated with lower quality of life. Psychological symptoms such US anxiety and depression were positively associated with FT (r = 0.27, p = 0.0151; r = 0.18, p = 0.0336). High symptom burden, both physical and psychological, significantly reduced quality of life, while social support played a positive role in enhancing well-being (r = -0.17, p = 0.0412). Integrative therapies improved quality of life by 82%, and cost related health literacy was found to reduce financial toxicity (OR = 0.823, p= 0.039). Holistic interventions and attention to the financial challenges faced by cancer patients are essential for improving quality of life, particularly for those affected by financial toxicity. Effective symptom management involves the use of various tools (ESAS, HADS, FACT-G, SESI, EORTC QLQ-C30) and approaches such as palliative care, integrative therapies, symptom cluster management, acupuncture, financial support, social support, enhanced cost-related health literacy, improved psychological resilience, and identification of financial toxicity risks. The quality of life in Cancer patients is influenced by a complex interaction of factors, including financial condition, symptom management, social support, and multidisciplinary care. Enhancing health literacy—especially regarding financial aspects—with comprehensive, evidence-based, and accessible information such as insurance, medication coverage, and financial resources, is critically important.

Abstract

Incidents of sexual violence are like an iceberg phenomenon and continue to increase every year. However, this increase is inversely proportional to the rehabilitative efforts provided for victims of sexual violence. The impact of sexual violence is trauma that makes the victim feel helpless. Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT) is the therapy of choice to treat these impacts. This systematic review aims to determine the implementation and benefits of TF-CBT for trauma victims of sexual violence. The search used seven databases: Scopus, Sage Journals, ScienceDirect, ProQuest, PubMed, Clinical Key, and EBSCOhost. The research design used in the selected articles was three with RCTs, 5 with Quasy experiments, and 2 with cohorts. Selection is based on the criteria of article publication time in the last ten years, providing full text in English. The symptoms measured in trauma cases are PTSD, post-traumatic symptoms, mental problems such as depression, suicide attempts, and behavioral problems. The results showed that TF-CBT positively influenced all of these symptoms. Implementing TF-CBT also involves the role of parents and modifications with culturally sensitive principles. TF-CBT can reduce trauma symptoms. It is hoped that TF-CBT can be used in other trauma cases and apply modification principles that previous researchers have carried out by being culturally sensitive and involving the role of parents.

Abstract

Introduction: This study aims to investigate whether the FACIT-Sp-12's measurement properties yield the most accurate spiritual data for cancer patients. Methods: This systematic review examined full-text studies written in English and involving patients with cancer published between 2000 and 2024, using cross-sectional, randomized controlled trials, case-control, and quasi-experimental designs. This study used the MEDLINE (PubMed and EBSCO), ScienceDirect, Scopus, Taylor and Francis, and selected ProQuest databases. We assessed the papers methodically using the PRISMA flow before reviewing ten of them. The Consensus-based Standards for the Selection of Health Measurement Instruments tool has been used for evaluating the review articles. Results: We found that various studies on spirituality in cancer patients conducted in different countries have employed diverse research methods. All these studies used the FACIT-Sp-12, which has been modified and adapted for cultural contexts. Cronbach's alpha ranges from 0.70 to 0.91, indicating that FACIT-Sp-12 is consistent across studies. COSMIN has been used to evaluate and critique FACIT-Sp-12; however, its structural validity, Cronbach's alpha for the subscales, intraclass correlation, and measurement error remain unsatisfactory. Some publications examine hypotheses and provide satisfactory responses, but there is little discussion on criterion validity or cross-cultural adaptation. Conclusions: We determined that patients with cancer could use the FACIT-Sp-12. This study suggests using the FACIT-Sp-12 spiritual assessment tool for cancer patients in research and nursing care.
