Abstract

Abstrak:  Dilatarbelakangi ketertarikan tentang metode bermain dalam bimbingan dan konseling, artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kajian konsep bermain sebagai metode dalam bimbingan dan konseling. Ruang lingkup yang menjadi fokus bahasan dalam artikel ini meliputi tinjauan filsafiah bimbingan tentang bermain (membahas hakikat manusia, tujuan kehidupan, pandangan kehidupan, dan nilai-nilai kehidupan), tinjauan teoretik tentang bermain (riwayat singkat teori, analisis konseptual, struktur teoretik, kegunaan teoretis dan praktis untuk bimbingan dan konseling), dan analisis perkembangan riset tentang konsep bermain sebagai metode dalam bimbingan. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kajian literatur, dengan melibatkan sejumlah informasi yang bersumber dari kepustakaan yang meliputi buku, artikel jurnal, serta dokumen lainnya untuk mendapatkan berbagai macam teori dan gagasan yang nantinya dapat dirumuskan hasil sesuai dengan tujuan. Hasil guna kajian konsep bermain sebagai metode dalam bimbingan meliputi; (1) Konsep bermain sebagai metode dalam bimbingan, (2) Memperkaya teori dan teknik intervensi layanan dalam bimbingan dan konseling, (3) Sebagai dasar pengembangan riset tentang metode dalam bimbingan dan konseling.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tentang bimbingan karier berorientasi transferable skill bagi siswa tunanetra berdasarkan tinjauan filsafiah dan ilmiah. Analisis menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan tiga tahapan yaitu planning (merencanakan topik yang akan dikaji), conducting (proses mencari data dari literatur yang terpercaya), dan reporting (melaporkan hasil kajian secara tertulis dan sistematis). Pembahasan dimulai dari tinjauan filosofis tentang hakikat karier, hakikat konseling karier, dan pentingnya bimbingan karier berorientasi transferable skill ditinjau dari filsafat konstruktivisme. Tinjauan teoretik berisi riwayat singkat teori, definisi, dan kerangka pikir riset. Hasil kajian berupa konsep bimbingan karier bagi siswa tunanetra yang menjadi dasar untuk pengembangan riset dan pengembangan bimbingan dan konseling karier bagi populasi khusus.

Abstract

Filosofi pendidikan inklusif adalah pendidikan untuk semua, dimana pendidikan inklusif melayani keberagaman peserta didik dengan ras, suku, adat – istiadat, agama, dan perbedaan lainnya serta anak berkebutuhan khusus. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana gambaran keberagaman orangtua dari peserta didik yang menjadi mikrosistem lingkungan perkembangan di salah satu Kelompok Bermain dan Taman Kanak-kanak inklusif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode naratif. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah para guru, kepala sekolah, staf tata usaha dan orangtua peserta didik salah satu Kelompok Bermain dan Taman Kanak-kanak di Kramat Jati, Jakarta Timur. Penelitian ini menggunakan berbagai alat pengumpulan data, yaitu pedoman observasi, protokol wawancara semi terstruktur dan studi dokumentasi yang akan memudahkan peneliti dalam mengeksplorasi. Berdasarkan hasil pengumpulan, pengolahan dan analisis data di lapangan, latar belakang orangtua peserta didik sangat beragam, mulai dari suku atau etnis, penghasilan, dan pendidikan. Namun dengan keberagaman tersebut, orang tua memiliki kebutuhan yang sama yaitu membutuhkan bantuan dalam peningkatan kapasitas pengasuhan bagi anak-anak mereka.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi adanya fakta empirik kebutuhan pengembangan model bimbingan untuk mengembangkan akhlak mulia mahasiswa. Sebagian mahasiswa menunjukkan perilaku oposisional terhadap nilai, norma dan moral bangsa yang mengarah pada kemerosotan akhlak. Untuk itu dibutuhkan bimbingan supaya akhlak mulia mahasiswa dapat berkembang optimal sehingga tujuan utuh pendidikan nasional tercapai. Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan model bimbingan profetik untuk mengembangkan akhlak mulia mahasiswa. Prosedur pengembangan dilakukan melalui studi literatur, asesmen kebutuhan, validasi isi melalui sejumlah pakar dan validasi empirik oleh konselor perguruan tinggi. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan research and development (R&D). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) bimbingan profetik menjadi kebutuhan untuk dikembangkan; (2) pengembangan model bimbingan profetik terdiri dari model utama (primary model) dan model turunannya (secondary model); (3) bimbingan profetik yang dikembangkan telah sesuai dengan pandangan para pakar dan praktisi serta memenuhi standar kelayakan suatu model sehingga direkomendasikan untuk diimplementasikan

Abstract

Significant gaps in understanding perceptions of traditional Ghanaian culture affect secondary school students' emotional intelligence and conflict resolution skills. This study was conducted to analyze the influence of conventional Ghanaian culture on students' perceptions of their own culture, as well as how it impacts their emotional intelligence and conflict resolution skills in the school setting. To assess these relationships, the study utilized a quantitative research design with partial least squares structural equation modeling. The study targeted a diverse sample of 674 students aged 16-18 from various educational institutions. The data collection method used was a questionnaire. Data analysis was conducted using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings showed that emotional intelligence significantly mediated the relationship between perceptions of traditional culture and conflict resolution skills. This study emphasizes integrating cultural elements into the educational framework to enhance conflict resolution skills. The implications of this study include actionable recommendations for educators and policymakers to develop culturally responsive strategies to encourage more effective conflict management in schools.

Abstract

This research aims to reveal ‘hope' of Indonesian adolescents especially in Bantul regency of Special Region of Yogyakarta. Data were gathered from 106 adolescents consisting of 38 males and 68 females (16 -18 years old) from high schools.The instruments of this study was a hope scale in the form of semantic deferential scale ranged from 1 to 8 (1= very inappropriate, 8 = very appropriate). The data analysis of this study was descriptive statistics. The result of the study showed that the hope of female students is higher than male students. In agency thinking, male students are higher than female students, otherwise, in pathways thinking, female students are higher than male students. Based on the parents' occupation, those who work in private sector have high hope. Conversely, the students whose parents are farmers have a low hope. The lowest scale of pathways thinking was obtained by the students whose parents are farmers as well as in the agency showed that the students whose parents are labours obtained the lowest scale

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the self-strength counseling model in developing student academic expectations. The study was conducted using a single-subject experimental design to measure the relationship between 2 variables, namely self-strength counseling and academic expectations. The type of design used is the A-B-A design, where there are three experimental phases, namely phase A is the baseline phase and phase B is the intervention phase. The data analysis used in this research is descriptive statistical techniques because the study has a single case (single subject). The number of subjects in this study was limited, namely only five students. The results showed that self-strength counseling was effective in increasing student academic expectations after the intervention process. The study results can be used to reference counselors in higher education to improve student academic expectations through the self-strength counseling model.

Abstract

Relative deficiencies develop in two types of society: poor (deprived) and disadvantaged (unfortunate), little research for this arrangement has been conducted in the field of education. This will discuss the relative deprivation character of underprivileged children in the realm of education. This research uses a descriptive method. The descriptive survey was used to describe the relative character of deprivation among underprivileged children at school, knowing the differences between boys and girls. The subjects in this study were grade 5 and grade 6 elementary school students in the Bekasi area with a total of 77 students: 37 boys and 40 girls. The instrument used in this study is an instrument that has been tested by experts, validity and reliability. It uses a relative deprivation scale for disadvantaged children. The data were analyzed descriptively by describing the minimum and maximum scores of each item, thus showing strength of each characteristic. In addition, the frequency score also described to highlight differences in the relative characteristics of deprivation among male and female students. The results explained that the participants had a very strong deprivation character, males were more dominant than females. The strongest characters reflected their lesser curiosity about things, but the girls exhibit better score related to rule obedience. The results of this study could be used as a reference to treat students' relative deficiencies through  guidance and counseling services.

Abstract

This research departs from concerns over the increasing divorce rate in Indonesia from year to year, which requires attention from various parties, including the counselor profession. This study aims to describe the problems husbands and wives face in married life and their experiences in solving these problems. The researchers formulated the marriage counseling process and stages based on the existing problems to help couples find problem-solving. This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach to reveal the experiences of married couples related to problems and how they solve the problem. The unit of analysis of this study consisted of 14 couples who won the Sakinah Teladan Family in West Kalimantan Province. Data analysis uses phenomenological analysis procedures and is assisted by Nvivo 12 Pro software. The research findings are: (1) problems faced by participants who have been married for more than 30 years include differences of opinion, partner behavior, jealousy, family problems, communication, and financial difficulties, (2) how participants solve the problems they face, namely: the existence of mutuality, being silent, deliberation, not involving parents, arguing, adhering to a religion, introspection, understanding the character of a partner, solving problems immediately, parents being role models for children, and developing a humorous attitude, and (3) a series of processes and the stages of counseling to help overcome the problems of married couples can be carried out in four phases, including the pre-session planning and task stage, the initial session or the initial stage, the mid-counseling phase, and the termination stage.

Abstract

Early theoretical and empirical studies have recommended scholars to explore the factors affecting wisdom of counselors. To enact this void, the present study explores the factors affecting wisdom from the perspectives of Indonesian pre-service counselors (henceforth, participants). This study employed survey design to capture the participants’ perceptions. Participants involved in this study were 517 sixth semester pre-service counselors from eleven Guidance and Counseling Departments in Indonesia. Data were collected using questionnaire of Counselor Wisdom Antecedents Scale in the form of Likert five-level scale. The data were then analyzed using descriptive statistics and exploratory factor analysis. The findings captured that there are six factors affecting wisdom of counselor from the perspectives of Indonesian pre-service counselors, namely: (1) social interaction and learning from experiences, (2) values and personality, (3) personal attributes, (4) meta-cognitive skills (critical and depth thinking skills), (5) context-facilitative, and (6) expertise/professionality. The results of this study recommend that counselor educators in the counseling education and supervision programs consider and optimize these factors to develop the wisdom of pre-service counselors.
