Abstract

This research aims to determine the consumers’ characteristics, the stages of decision making, and consumers satisfaction on buying ABMJ grilled chicken through Gojek e-commerce in Bandar Lampung.  The location was determined purposively, in which samples were 65 people.  The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis method, Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI), and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA).  The research showed that the consumers who bought ABMJ through Gofood were mainly single women around 19-24 years old, had bachelor degree, and had monthly income around IDR2,600,000.00-IDR3,500,000.00.  The consumer's decision making process was conducted through the introduction of needs, information search, alternative evaluation, purchase decision, and post-purchase evaluation.  Ease of purchase encouraged consumers to make transaction through Gofood and consumed ABMJ grilled chicken for their meals.  Consumers acquired the resources and information by their friends who had consumed ABMJ grilled chicken.  Price and advertisement in Gofood feature was highly considered by consumers.  The consumers made purchases depending on the circumstances, so there was no planning before and more than three purchases made in the last three months. Consumers were satisfied and would still buy even if the price of the ABMJ grilled chicken increases.  The value of CSI was 79.22 percent; it showed that the customers had been completely satisfied.  Based on the IPA analysis, customers valued that information clarity, photographic clarity, delivery time, and the safety of maintaining confidentiality of consumer’s identity should be improved.Key words: CSI, IPA, purchasing decision, satisfaction

Abstract

This research aims was to study (1) food habits of adolescent girls; (2) the adolescent girls’ efforts in taking care of and obtaining reproductive health; and (3) the relation between food habits, school level, parent’s education level, and social economics level of family towardreproductive health of adolescent girls. This research was a cross-sectional study executed in class level of 1 and 2 of SMA Negeri I and SMP Negeri I of Dramaga District, in Bogor Regency in which 3 classes of each level so that totalize 12 classes.  The number of subject was 169 adolescent girls. The data was collected by interviews and filling up questioners on May through June 2008. The research result showed that food habit between adolescent girls of SMP and SMA was not different and both have not yet meet PUGS, especially still less in number consume of rice, animal products and plain water. Strive in overcoming the sigh appearance nearing and during menstruation which is often done by adolescent girls were by keeping it quiet, body massages, and lay down. Variables of eating frequency together with habitual of eating fruits, animal products, and sour or hot food during menstruation are significantly related with reproductive health of adolescent girls.

Abstract

The study aims were to (1) assess the nutritional status, adequacy level, and physical fitness of the nonpregnant reproductive female workers, and (2) analyze the effect of micronutrients supplementation on their iron status and physical fitness. This research employed experimental design of double blind, completely randomized design by involving 338 households of female workers. The experimental unit consists of 39 female workers whose hemoglobin level were 80-125 g/L. However, five of them were drop out due to pregnancy or sickness. The treatments applied in the study were three capsules containing: (1) iron and folic acid (BF), (2) multi-vitamin and mineral (MVM), which contains of 15 different vitamins and minerals, and (3) placebo (P). The body mass index of the female workers were thin 12 percent, normal 70 percent and overweight 18 percent. Most of their nutritional intake of vitamin C, calcium and iron were deficient but they had a good to superior of physical fitness. Abstract

The aims of this research are to analyze: customer’s characteristics, attitudes and satisfactions, and its correlation on the total of monthly customers’ purchase.  The research location was determined purposively.  The number of interviewed respondents was 60.  Data were analyzed descriptively and by Multiatribute Fishbein, Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA), Pearson and rank Spearman correlation analysis.  The research results showed that the customers of Hang Dihi restaurant were women, 16-25 years old, mostly college students followed by graduates with income or allowance of Rp1,000,000-Rp2,000,000 per month having 4-5 family members. They came to the restaurant location from 3-5 km distance, and purchased pressed fried chicken as much as Rp22,000–Rp31,000 per month. The value of customers’ attitude was 11.82 meaning that customers had positive attitudes. The CSI value was 72 percent; it meant that customers were satisfied overall. Based on IPA, the customers evaluated that hygiene, variations of menu, and cleanness of place were needed to be improved. Abstract

The study aims to know the decision making, attitude, and satisfaction of consumers towards steam rice package at The Sambel Alu Sultan Agung (RMSASA) Restaurant. The attributes studied consisted of price, scent, taste, size, benefit, side dish variation, dish appearance, cleanliness, location, parking area, comfort and safety place. This research was conducted by survey method.  The respondents of this study consisted of 48 consumers who purchased liwet rice package for the first time. The research data was analyzed by description, Fishbein Multi-attribute Model, Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI,) and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA).  The results showed that the consumer's decision-making process of purchasing steam rice package was influenced by consumers' desire to try liwet rice package besides their hunger.  Sources of information obtained by consumers were mostly from people stories.  Alternatives chosen by consumers when the liwet rice package ran out was switching to another menu. The calculation of attitude of consumers showed that consumers like the liwet rice package with multi-atribute value of 182.06.  The highest score of attitude was taste, followed by cleanliness, comfort and safety place.  The results of CSI analysis showed that consumers were satisfied with the liwet rice package with CSI value of 77.54.  Meanwhile, based on IPA analysis, the attributes laid in quadrant I were aroma and location; quadrant II were cleanliness, taste, comfort and safety place; quadrant III were parking areas, price, size, and benefit; and quadrant IV were menu variation and dish appearance. Key words: attitude, CSI, IPA, steam rice, the decision making

Abstract

This research aims to determine the fruit consumption lifestyle and eating pattern of fruits, and the affecting factors on the demand of fruits in the household having primary school age children in Bandar lampung. This research samples are 60 households that have primary school age children.  The data is collected in November 2014-April 2015 and analyzed descriptively and statistically by seemingly unrelated regression (SUR).  The results of this research showed as follows.  The household lifestyle in consuming fruits in side of activity was indicated that 75.0% of the households bought fruits routinely, but 66.7% were rarely consuming fruits in various serving and 73.3% preferred local than import fruits. As much as 98.3% households had opinions that fruits contains a lot of vitamins, minerals and fibers. Banana, papaya, watermelon, snakeskin fruit and avocado were the most consumed fruits in the households in which monthly average consumption was 2-8 times with each weight were 3.8 kg, 2.5 kg, 1.9 kg, 0.9 kg, 0.8 kg. The demand of banana was influenced by the price of banana and total income; of papaya was influenced by the price of papaya, banana and avocado; of watermelon was influenced by the price of watermelon and avocado; of snakeskin fruit was influenced by the price of watermelon and sugar; and of avocado was influenced by the price of avocado. Abstract

The purposes of this research were to know the consumer knowledge of retail soy milk and the attitude of consumers towards retail soy milk. The research was conducted by survey method in a traditional market in Bandar Lampung which was chosen on purpose. The total samples were 100 consumers who had been buying retail soy milk when were found and be chosen using sampling convenience technique.  The data was collected in February until March 2014.  The research results showed that the knowledge of retail soy milk consumers were diverse and averagely in the middle level. Most consumers had good knowledge on the freshness, price, volume, and calcium content attributes of retail soy milk. The analysis results of the Fishbein multiattribute toward consumer attitudes showed that the attitude scores (Ao) of easiness of obtaining the product got the highest value of 2.02, followed by the attribute of benefits 1.75.  The attitude score (Ao) of retail soy milk was 9.50; this was in the positive category and also highly favored by consumers. Abstract

This study aims to determine the pattern of food consumption and nutritional status of under five year children (toddlers) at the coastal areas of Teluk Betung Timur Distric with secondary data description method.  This research is part of an umbrella study conducted in three areas in Bandar Lampung City, namely the highlands, lowlands, and coastal areas.  The research sample in this study was 32 children aged 12-59 months.  The data was analyzed by scoring the Desireble Dietary Pattern (DDP) to determine the food consumption pattern of toddlers and nutritional status assessment.  The results showed the level of Energy Adequacy (TKE) of toddlers at the coastal areas of Teluk Betung Timur District of 110.13 percent which can be categorized as normal.  Toddlers with an energy deficit of 5 toddlers (15.63%) while toddlers who experienced excess energy as much as 12 toddlers (37.15%).  Only one toddler has a deficit of vitamin A while there are 19 toddlers who have a calcium deficit.  The results showed the DDP of toddlers was only 72.32 which can be interpreted that DDP of toddlers have not reached the maximum score.  Toddlers at the coastal areas of Teluk Betung Timur District who experienced malnutrition as much as 21.88 percent; stunting toddlers as much as 28.13 percent; and skinny toddlers as much as 15.63 percent.Key words: DDP, food consumption patterns, nutritional status, toddler

Abstract

This study aims to determine the vendors performance and street foods at the University of Lampung (Unila) Campus, analyze the capital cost, revenue and profits of street food vendors at Unila Campus. The research is carried out at Unila Campus on purpose, which is in the canteen of Agricultural Faculty, Engineering Faculty, and Library as well as around the Unila food ball field by survey method.  The data was collected from January to February 2017.  The subjects of this study were heavy and light snack food vendors who have been selling food at least a year.  Research data was analyzed descriptively. The results showed that there were 22 types of heavy snack foods and 10 types of light snacks and drinks.  The initial capital expenditure at the street food vendors derived from their savings were ranging from Rp70,000.00 to Rp7,000,000.00. The revenue of street food vendors ranged from Rp5,000,000.00 to Rp92,000,000.00 per month. The average profit analysis results showed that vendors benefit from self processing street foods in average was Rp6,288,439.00 per the month for locations in Unila ball field; Rp12,471,155.00 at the Faculty of Agriculture; Rp12,868,096.00 at the Unila library, and Rp7,110,383.00 at around the Faculty of Engineering.Key words: profit analysis, street  food vendors

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the contribution of catfish cultivation enlargement to household income and the welfare of catfish cultivators household.  The research data was collected in Sub-District of Natar of South Lampung regency in December 2017 - January 2018. Respondents in this research were 30 cultivators of catfish enlargement, chosen on purpose for they have been actively running their business and 4 expert people in catfish cultivation.  Primary data was obtained by interviewing the respondents, while secondary data was obtained from several related institutions. Collected household income was included cultivation income of catfish, off-farm income, and non-farm income.  The level of household welfare was analyzed by three criterias namely Sajogyo, Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) and Badan Kependudukan dan Keluarga Berencana Nasional (BKKBN).  The  result showed that the average income of catfish cultivators business contributed 44,27 percent of the total household income of Rp52.340.376,00 per year. The household welfare level based on Sajogyo showed that 20 percent of households were in the almost-poor category, 50 percent in moderate, and 30 percent in decent living class. Based on BPS and BKKBN category showed that 20 percent of households were in the less prosperous and 80 percent were prosperous.Key words: catfish, income, welfare
